Chapter 15

Elsa banished the Freya guards from Arendelle.

When Freya ceased to exist, her Pits of Fire also ceased to exist as well. The prisoners in the dungeons of Weselton, the Southern Isles and the other nine annexed kingdoms easily overcame their captors from the Land of Fire, and after determining who was responsible for their chance of freedom, set up diplomatic and trade ties with Arendelle.

Within the week, King Lukens along with Amund and Thor took a ship to Arendelle. They wanted Hans!

I n court, all three graciously bowed to Elsa, and then stated the reason for their visit.

"Your Majesty," Lukens started, "we have come to bring our black hearted brother back to the Southern Isles to face justice for turning traitor!"

Captain Smith answered him, "I am sorry, you grace! Hans had tried to loot the Arendelle Treasury. We met in the bowels of the castle and battled – Hans fell into the Pit of Fire. All that's left of him is this baldric, which is all I could grab, when I tried to save him." And Captain Smith produced the baldric, and gave it to Lukens.

"It is just as well," said Thor, "he would have been executed anyways, as he so richly deserved!"

"Indeed!" added Amund. "You saved us the trouble!"

"And we have recovered our family baldric, which he cannot bring shame to any longer!" said Lukens. "Thank you, Queen Elsa. Hans has caused more damage to both of our countries than he was worth!"

"I understand that the Southern Isles had no complicity with his schemes, King Lukens!" said Elsa.

On a brighter note, Elsa added, "By the way, if you are still interested in establishing a trade route with Arendelle, we would be happy to talk to your representative as soon as possible."

Lukens, Amund and Thor smiled. That was a gift they did not expect. Hopefully this will be the beginning of much closer and warmer ties with Arendelle.

"Thank you, Elsa! We will have our Duke come by within the week!" stated Lukens. And with that, the three representatives of the Southern Isles left the Queen.

That being the last representative, Court was now done for the day. Elsa and James went out to the garden for their customary walk.

They both sat under the full moon on the bench, when James had a surprise.

"Elsa! I knew you meant so much to me, I finally realized how much when I almost lost you, first to Ulf and then to Freya."

Elsa responded, "The same for me, James. When Ulf was dragging me away, I finally realized just how much you meant to me!" and she gave James a quick kiss.

James then got up off the bench, and got down on one knee, "Then Elsa, will you be mine forever?" he said as he produced an engagement ring.

Elsa was a little surprised, but that surprise quickly turned to happiness! "Yes, James! Yes I will." She said as she put on her ring and she and James exchanged a big hug and kiss.

"Now I know you're mine forever!" said James happily.

"And you are mine!" replied Elsa.

The castle burst forth with great joy the next day, as Elsa and James announced the good news! Anna was the first to rush up to her sister, and give her a big hug!

"I am so happy for you both, Elsa!" stated Anna.

Kristoff also offered his congratulations.

When Kristoff shook James' hand, he said, "Welcome to the family 'common soldier'! You can join a 'common Ice Harvester and Deliverer'!"

Then in a whisper, Kristoff added, "See? It doesn't hurt to ask! Now you can be very happy too!"

James just smiled.
