The Aftermath of the Truth

Clarke goes to Mt Weather to rescue her people, one of which is Bellamy. She succeeds, but how will Bellamy react to the truth about the missile attack and what Clarke did. Can he get past it?

3. Chapter 3

The two of them ran to the medical floor where the Grounders were held. Maya was already inside, ready with the keys to the cages which held the Grounders. Bellamy and Clarke immediately started opening the cages and helping the Grounders out of their cages while Maya guided them down the hall to where Jasper was waiting to take them to the tunnel exit.

Finally, the last Grounder was released and Bellamy and Clarke helped the ones that were still weak and led them out of the mountain.

Once in the tunnels with the rest of the escapees, Clarke showed them which path to take in order to avoid the fighting going on higher up on the mountain. Everyone moved quickly and eagerly towards freedom. Clarke had arranged with Lexa and the other Grounder leaders that the prisoners would be led through a specific tunnel and so Lexa and some other Grounders were waiting there, to help those who came out. Once out in the open, Lexa and the other Grounders started leading the group of now free people away from the battlefield and got them to safety.

Clarke felt a sense of relief, knowing that the prisoners where now in good hands. She had Lincoln blow the horn to tell their army that the prisoners had been rescued and to retreat.
