The Swift Arrival
Bruce raced up through the manor. Diana wasn't supposed to go into labor for another two weeks. Alfred stressed the suddenness and speed this delivery was taking. There would be no time for hospitals or doctors. Bruce silently prayed he had broken enough speed limits to make it in time.
"Diana!" He exclaimed as he burst into their bedroom.
"Bruce! Oooowww. Bruce Wayne we are never doing this again!"
"I'm pretty sure we said that with Lydia."
"BRUCE!"
"Master Bruce, please do not agitate her. Alright, Miss Diana, I am going to need to you push."
It was quick. In a matter of minutes Alfred was placing a small bundle in his arms.
"Diana…" He said with amazement. He passed the small bundle to his wife.
"Is she alright? She was not supposed to come yet."
"She's perfect."
All the kids were gathered in the living room discussing their newest sibling. Leslie was currently checking on the newest Wayne.
"Di, sure went full Greek on this one?" Jason said with a slight chuckle.
"Well,… yeah." Dick added.
"Me and Lani's names are Greek, too." Lydia defended.
"Yeah, girly bird, but Elena Martha and Lydia Alexandria, are pretty normal."
"I think it's okay." Tim adds.
"Sure you do Timothy." Dick counters.
"Whatever, Richard."
"I have the coolest name by far." Jason bolsters.
"Sure you do Jace."Elena chimes in.
"Tt," was all Damian added to the conversation.
"Hey!" Jason pretended to be insulted.
"That is enough of that." Alfred scolded. "Your parents have named the young mistress and Euphemia Sophia is a fine name. Perhaps a bit formal, but she will have a nickname. We will call her Effie, it was my mother's name, I believe it suits her."
None of the kids protested; Alfred's word was gold.
