Chapter 4: New Friends

AN: SoI couldn't resist. The reviews I got made me happy! See I update when i get REVIEWS, who would've ever guessed! :D

Lily- Your review motivated me indeed, I was going to wait two weeks, but then i read your review and all of the sudden i had the urge to write the next chapter, so therefore I dedicate this chapter to you! I just hope since you read as a guest that you'll know when i update again :O

Shirubagure- You already know what I had to say to you xD

Cana99- You aswell already know what I have to say to you! ^_^

So yeah... This chapter is pretty uneventful as well, I'm going to be introducing the Noah family! :)

Kanda's story is so uneventful right now i want to cry, but I planned it out that way, because I'm no good at writing in his POV. My personality is closer to Allen's so it's a little easier!

Anyways, On with the next chapter!

Kanda POV

9 years old

"OW!" That was the last straw! "I give up!" I yelled.

"Now don't be like that Kanda! Remember who you're doing this for! If you can't even finish this, how can you get Allen back?" Tiedoll chuckled at Kanda's frustration.

"How the hell is fixing this place going to help me get Allen back? I need to be training right now!" I was just about fed up with trying to fix our secret hideout. I had already been hit with wood, tripped over debris, and every other thing that could possibly happen. I swear I'm getting hurt more now than the day they took the damn Moyashi!

"Kanda watch your language! And don't you think he'd be happy to come back and find this place fixed? This was a special place for him after all." The old man smiled at me. I grumbled at his true reasoning.

"Whatever, old man." He smiled happily and continued sketching away in his notebook.

After several hours of hard work i finally finished rebuilding the place. It looked better than it did before the attack.

"I'm going to go train." I walked out of the place. My foster father waved me goodbye and told me to be careful.

In the past year I had already gotten much better at my swordsmanship. I realized that before I was being extremely sloppy. I din't see what grace the Moyashi saw. Oh well. When I see him again I'll be able to show him how much better I've gotten.

I stepped into the clearing and began my "dance". After some warming up. I moved on to the trees where i could practice my strength. In the past year I had already cut down 54 trees. Allen would probably say something about destroying nature, but it looked like art to me, the way the trees had fallen into the way of a room, almost like a new secret hideout. I think Allen would like that aspect, after scolding me for harming Mother Natures creations.

I finished another tree that i had been working on. DEcing it was a good time to begon meditating I walked inside the new "hideout". In there I found a boy playing with a bell.

"Oi, who are you?" I called out to him.

The kid turned around giving me a disinterested look, "what's it to you?"

"Well considering my father owns this land I'd like to know who is trespassing against it." I snapped at him.

"Geez, Who should a stick up your butt, fine I'll leave."

"Che. Why are you here anyways? You've got to be as navigationally challenged as the Moyashi to end up here." I commented as he was walking away.

"The what? You don't mean Allen do you? He can't still be that short!" We both wore an expression of shock.

"You know the Moyashi?" I questioned, "Who are you?"

"The names Daisya, Allen got lost and ended up at my house once when he was four." He laughed at the memory. "Who are you?"

"Kanda. I lived with the Moyashi 'til recently."

"'Til recently? Why not anymore? Don't tell me he got lost and ended up ten miles from home again!" Daisya looked amused but with a hint of seriousness.

10 miles? Seriously? How in the world does one person get that lost? "He got taken away. But I'm going to get him back!"

"Are ya now? Need any help? It's been a while since i saw that kid." Daisya smirked.

"I don't need help from the likes of you!" To think that I, Kanda Yuu, would need help from someone like this kid!

"Hey what's that supposed to mean?" The kid looked highly offended.

"Che. It means I don't need help from a kid he looks like some trouble maker."

"Kid? I'll show you kid!" Daisya lunged towards me. Mugen was too much for an unarmed kid so i stuck to hand to hand combat.

After at least 3 hours of brawling both of us collapsed.

"Damn, You really did a number on me." Daisya stated.

"You didn't to bad yourself." I smirked, though he couldn't see it.

"Why do you know how to fight so well?"

"I could ask the same of you. To be able to hold up against me is an accomplishment."

"Well, I'm not a very liked person, so i learned to fight so people would stop messing with me." He started ringing his bell again.

"I just want to get Allen back." I said after a moment.

"My help offer still stands."

I thought about it for a moment, "Hell, why not?"

We both laughed a little.

"Alright then it's settled! Um... Where is Allen anyways?"

Great, now i have to explain it all to this kid. Which i did.

(AN: TOO LAZY TO PUT THIS CONVO IN JUST KNOW THAT KANDA TELLS HIM ABOUT ALL THE SHIZ THAT'S GOING ON)

Allen POV

7 years old

Spring filled the air and I was quite happy with that. The air was just cool enough to not be scorching(AN: I thought it was sorching, but no, I've been saying it wrong for three years O.O) hot, but provide the warmth needed to not freeze. Walking in the courtyard has to be the best thing to do this time of year.

I wandered out of the courtyard to the garden where I'd see the girl again, she'd see me and run away, I'd follow her but end up loosing her some place in the city again. Just like every other time I'd tried to speak with her and give her back her clip.

Today instead of going right back into the palace I decided to venture through the town. I'd only been a few times with Mana when i was very young. The shops were always fascinating. Selling all sorts of things., clothes, lights, masks, blankets, shoes, furniture, etc. Today I want to go to the mask store.

I made my way down the street to the store Mana had once brought me to. In the building I recognized the man stastanding behind the counter from my visit three years ago.

"Allen is that you?" The blonde man asked excitedly.

"Yes, Hello Reever!" I ran up to him.

"What are you doing here? Where's Mr. Walker?" I frowned at that.

"Well about two years ago he passed away from his sickness." Reever looked crestfallen. Mana and Reever's father had been close.

"That's too bad. Who are you with now then?"

I couldn't exactly say i was living in the castle, the public doesn't know about the crowned prince just yet.

"U-um, I live with My mother's sister... My aunt... um Clair." Sorry Clair, I need to borrow your name!

"Huh. I don't remember Alison having a sister names Clair. Weird." He looked thoughtful. Just then Johnny walked in.

"Johnny!" i exclaimed.

"Is that you Allen?" Tears of joy were running down Johnny's face as he embraced me.

"Can't.. Breath!" I was starting to get light headed.

"Sorry, it's just been so long! I have to get on making you a new outfit right away!" He seemed so excited, "Tapp! Allen's here!" He cried out with joy!"

"How many times do I have to say that My name is Dopp! My brother was Tapp!" A woman who looked exactly like Tapp walked out.

"Sorry, I forget, you look just like your late brother!" Johnny looked sad.

I had heard about Tapp's death. It was a hard time for Mana.

Johnny rushed back in with a white fur coat with my name on the inside of it and a white masquerade mask. "Here is a gift to you Allen! I made it some time ago."

"Oh no, I can't accept this! First of all its Spring time. This coat is the size of a grown man, and I haven't done anything to deserve this! "

"It's for when you get older! A gift! Just accept it! For me!" I couldn't turn down his puppy dog, so i nodded in defeat.

"Well i'd best be going." I said after an hour or so. "Cro- I mean Aunt Clair is probably worried about me."

"Alright, come visit us more often!" Reever called out.

"Will do!" I smiled cheerfully.

I promised myself i wouldn't get lost, but somehow i ended up in an alley trying to find my way back. I was about to give up and just go back to the shop but then I tripped over something, or rather someone.

"I'm terribly sorry mist- Oh my goodness! Are you okay mister?" A man beaten to a bloody pulp was lying on the ground nearly unconscious.

"m'fine. get o'kid." He slurred.

"Nonsense!" I started to treat his wounds, using my handkerchief that my dad had given me when i was little. The man seemed surprised by the handkerchief.

"Where did you get that?" He exclaimed grabbing for it. I back away quickly. The piece of cloth had black initial M.W, on it.

"My father gave it to me!" He looked even more stunned.

"What is your father's name?"

"His name is- well was Mana Walker."

"Was?"

"He's dead now." Tears filled my eyes. Thinking about my father so much in one day.

The man on the ground looked even more sad then I did.

"who are you?" I asked curiously.

"Well kid, My name is Neah Walker." He pulled out a black piece of cloth with white initials N.W.

What? Is this man somehow related to my father?

"I'm your Dad's brother."

"Yo-you're my uncle?"

"If he's your father than yes, I would assume so." He deadpanned. It's not my fault I'm a little shocked right now!

Just then a boy came down the alley way. He had short dark wavy hair.

"Shit" Neah mumbled, "Go on kid, run. This guy is no good!" He handed me some sort of weird device. It was a gold ball with wings, "Take this, his name's Timcampy.

"What about you? I can't just leave an injured man behind! My family at that!"

"Don't worry about me I'll be fine!"

"A-alright." I said in defeat. Then I remembered something. "Here, you probably need this more than I do." I handed him the white coat and then ran off.

As i turned a corner I heard the screams of a man. Peeking around the corner I saw a patch of blood where the man had once laid, but he nor the other man was there.

I high tailed it back to the castle, not knowing how I found my way. Once inside I realized I'd left my handkerchief out in the alley. I also noticed the girl sitting healing the flowers once more. Blocking the door I called out to her. "Hey, girl? Who are you?" I questioned.

She must've jumped a foot in the air. "H-how did you get there?" a soft melodic voice called out.

"Well I was chasing after you in the city and now I've returned." Realizing that I had her clip i dug through my pocket for it. "Here you dropped this some time ago." I handed her the clip and her eyes filled with joy.

"Thank you! I've been searching for this!" The happiness she showed warmed my heart.

"Well if you hadn't run away I could have given it back to you a year ago!" I said almost annoyed.

She blushed and hid her face. When she looked back up her eyes were filled with tears, "I'm sorry Prince Allen! It's just I'm not supposed to be here! I didn't want you to tell on me!" Her sobs filled the room. Even her cries sounded pretty.

"Wait, how do you know my name?" i tilted my head to the side.

"Well you see there are secret passages in the castle and I listen in- wha! I shouldn't be telling you this." The girl no older than six seemed to be having an argument with herself.

"No, it's alright. I'm not going to tell on you. What's your name?" I offered a smile.

"Ch-Chouko."

"Wow, what a pretty name! that explains the butterfly clip! Speaking of which where'd you get it?" Being the social person I am I tried to carry out a conversation with her.

"M-my sister gave it to me before she moved away." Her eyes were sad and happy at the same time, if possible, when she mentioned her sister.

"Really? What's her name?" I asked, still smiling.

"Her name is Granger Sterling," She said shyly, "And her baby's name is Adalie, and her husband's name is Mason." Suddenly she was going on and on about the things her sister and her used to do before she left with her husband and child. Soon enough we knew so much about each other it was funny. I'd finally found a friend around my age. Though no one could replace Kanda, new friends could always help make it easier.

"Promise me you won't run from me any more?"

"Yeah! You're my friend now, so it's okay!" She smiled sweetly. I noticed that she had two missing teeth, completing her childish look.

"Well I'd better go." I said looking sad.

Suddenly she got shy and nervous. "Are you not going to ask about how i helped the flowers?" She asked hesitantly. I was confused for a second but then remembered.

"Oh i figure you'll tell me when you want to!" I smiled cheerfully and then ran off.

"Allen! There you are! You're needed by the king." Mark said to me, "We have visitors."

"Alright, I'll be right out."

I made sure i looked presentable and then entered the throne room where i saw a tall thin man along with 5 people looking to be teenagers, and a small girl, probably the same age as Chouko.

"Allen, Come meet the Earl, Adam, and his children."

"Yes, sir."

I walked over there I announced, "Hello, My name is Allen Walker. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"No need to be so formal, Allen." The man said kindly. "My name is Adam and these are my children, Skin at age 20, Lulubell at age 19, Tyki age 17, Jesdero and Devit age fourteen, the twins, and Road, at the mere age of 6." MY eyes widened in horror at the boy he called Tyki. It was the same boy who was in the alley with Neah. He must've realized who I was too but because he smirked a bit and then brought his index finger to his lips.

"N- nice to meet you all." I stuttered.

"The Noahs will be staying with us for the next month, so get used to their presence, alright?"

"Yes master."

"Good, you may leave now." I darted out of there the minute permission was given. It must've been my imagination. That couln't have been the same person, could it?
