Personality:

Compared to how she was in the past, Arturia's personality has changed vastly following her experiences in the Grail Wars and upon being corrupted by Angra Mainyu. Compared to the other Heroic Spirits, Arturia is now much more like Archer EMIYA - and idealist who still clings to their ideals and values, but no longer believes in them, only following them because they know nothing else and have nothing else. Arturia has come to believe that the duty of a hero is to be hated and ostracized, uniting their people through indisputable leadership only - regardless of what they think of her personally - and that a hero's only duty is to cut down the foes before them using all their strength, regardless of whether they are more justified or vindicated in their cause or not. She now believes that she had been prepared to reach this point of belief ever since she drew Caliburn and was destined for it.

Arturia thus entrusts her blade to the curse of All the World's Evils in the Grail, as it is "the only constant of human nature," and pledges herself to Kiritsugu Emiya as his weapon, and, later on near the end of the story, to Kirei Kotomine as someone who knows the workings of despair. While Arturia still takes her duty as a King seriously, believing it to be her obligation to those whose lives were lost because of her, she no longer believes in the ideals of nobility and virtue that she had set for herself and her people - she no longer cares if her way of ruling was right or wrong like she did in the Grail Wars, or about the value of morality, justice or chivalry, and has committed herself fully to the image of the "emotionless king" who rules impartially and without hesitation nor remorse, having become a "perfect king" by completely casting aside her past self. For Arturia, there is no reason to exist and do anything aside what she had been vowed to do, believing that her end was concluded long ago, after all her prayers and glory vanished on the burning hill of swords at Camlann.

She is largely apathetic to the concerns of others, though she holds residual feelings for the memories of her past associates - her old Master Emiya Shirou and for Tohsaka Rin invoke sparks of respect, and she holds mixed reactions for Matou Sakura, as Sakura understood despair of losing all as she did yet was able to find happiness in the end, which sparks traces of jealousy in Arturia, though Arturia herself isn't even aware of her feelings being jealousy for a long time. Arturia watches the battles between her peers without concern, not truly caring who wins as she believes the outcome will be the same regardless, and can only hold a slight amount of pity toward those left alive for "foolishly hoping it will change." She displays indifference to most of the cast, though has come to scorn Lancer (Diarmuid) - her behavior to him has completely reversed from her first time in the Forth Grail War, and instead of respect, Alter now scorns his sense of chivalry and virtue. She also clashes with Rider, as unlike before, she no longer cares if her way of the king was right or wrong in the moral sense - she simply intends to carry it out as a matter of course, and has no problems with being the lone supporter of a kingdom or a tyrant.

However, in spite of her demeanor, Arturia is still capable of feeling emotions - she displays anger toward selfless beings, no longer seeing the value in such endeavors. She also becomes visibly frustrated with heroism, and displays slight scorn and pity for those that challenge her and fall or die, comparing them to all those she watched before who risked their lives and died meaninglessly. The gourmet tastes she had before have vanished, and she only cares about eating if it is necessary, no longer concerned with taste or enjoyment as she had in the past.

Over time, Arturia's personality slowly degrades further as she meets Kotomine and, after coming to empathize with him, is slowly influenced by the darker shades of his personality that Gilgamesh has brought out, convincing her over time that she ought to teach others the meaning of despair to the world after being ridiculed for her demeanor and apathetic actions by Lancer and Rider. Because of this, Arturia thus begins to slowly start taking a twisted pleasure in crushing the hopes of others and teaching them what despair means, to the point where by the end she is almost a cold sadist like Kotomine himself.

Arturia eventually creates a new goal for herself after she and Kotomine join forces - that she will control the Grail to spread despair to all corners of Earth, leading the people as King by making them understand that despair and accept it's inevitability, opting to "follow Iskandar's footsteps" and rebuild her kingdom "properly" in the modern age to vindicate her struggles with that as her final achievement. The rage and madness from Angra Mainyu's curse that she keeps suppressed becomes like a Madness Enchantment that she can unleash in battle whenever she feels it necessary - and once she lets All the World's Evils lose through her body, the red veins on her armor pulsate and widen, and her personality becomes rabid and twisted, taking sadistic pleasure in making her enemies suffer slow and painful deaths, becoming even more ferocious then her child Mordred was in battle, as she charges in with a cruel smile that never leaves her face even as she becomes soaked in blood.

In the Story:

Due to being a "True" Heroic Spirit after dying her final death and ending her contract with Alaya, Arturia now possesses nearly all of the Noble Phantasms she lacked before - her blade Excalibur that promises destruction and victory with it's attack, her scabbard Avalon that protects her from all earthly or heavenly powers within a bounded field when used, her spear Rhongomyniad that can pierce through any armor or shell no matter what it is made from, and her dagger Carnwennan that cuts through magic and obscures her in a powerful presence concealment - thus, she is arguably the strongest Servant and all but invincible. The only weapon from her legend that she lacks is Caliburn, which broke after rejecting her in life.

Her armor, reflecting her state of mind upon her final death in her timeline, is that of her Alter state to match her darker nature. Her casual dress, on the few occasions she is not in armor, is an all-black gothic-lolita dress with black leggings. During one point, when acting incognito, she wears a charcoal-gray-blue dress with detachable sleeves and choker-affixed straps. She holds a distinct connection to the Grail and an affinity for it due to her origins as a Hero corrupted by it, affording her a better connection to it then most - and a tie to All the Worlds Evils from which to draw strength from.

Tactics
Arturia's ability is maximally unleashed in face-to-face combat single combat - when facing single opponents, she is all but invincible. She is a capable military commander who fine-tunes her strategy meticulously. While on the battlefield, she further adapts her actions in response to the ever-changing dynamics of combat. Having cast aside her nobility and chivalry with her dreams, there is no longer any trick, ploy or strategy that Arturia won't utilize against her opponents, making her present self a perfect match for the patient and manipulative Kotomine.

Class Abilities

Magic Resistance: B+
Arturia boasts an incredibly high rank of resistance to magic, capable of completely neutralizing grand sorceries involving magic arrays and instant contracts, and even modern magi of the highest level cannot wound her directly with sorcery. Arturia is able to resist an action forced on to her even if powered by a Command Spell - such is the extraordinary rank of her power, sufficient to repel even the very foundation of the Servant System. If the opponent is someone who attacks with sorcery, Arturia will charge in without fear and determine the battle's outcome with a single slash.

As her name "Pendragon" shows, Arturia is the holder of the "Element of the Red Dragon" - the very essence of a dragon. Thus massive magical power is the source of Arturia's magic resistance, and due to having the characteristics of a Dragon, Arturia has trouble with those who have fought and killed dragons, such as Lancelot, and if targeted by "anti-dragon magic," her Magic Resistance may not function to it's fullest. Her alignment shift has reduced her original rank.

Riding: A
Since "Knights" are soldiers proficient in mounted warfare, Saber's rank in Riding is very high. Chariots can be ridden the same way. Motorcycles and automobiles are treated as "modern mounts," thus a high rank in Riding is also applicable. However, it is unclear if Riding applies to aircraft. However, in spite of her high rank, Arturia can only ride normal mounts and beasts, and cannot control Phantasmal Beasts like Pegasi, Griffons or Dragons - this is due to her not being a Rider-Class Servant, as well as the fact that, being a King in the Age of Man, she did not have the fortune of having any chance to ride any Phantasmal Beasts. Normally, the Blackening of a Servant would mean the loss of Arturia's Riding skills as it did in the Fifth Grail War, but due to being a true Heroic Spirit now and having willingly accepted the despair the Blackening evokes, this is counteracted.

Personal Skills

Instinct: B - A+
The ability to feel "the best personal course of action" during combat.
Because this skill allows for the prediction of trajectory, it is possible to avoid attacks from firearms or projectiles. At rank A, her skill is essentially in the realm of predicting the future, and through this ability, it is possible to negate the penalties inflicted by visual and auditory interference to a certain extent, such as being able to discern CĂș Chulainn's ultimate technique through a mix of skill and instinct. Due to her connection to the Grail and having to continually suppress her rage and madness - an automatic "knee-jerk" reaction brought on from her years of discipline and training - her instincts have been blunted. However, when Arturia does decide to take a battle seriously and give in to the range brought on by All the World's Evil's afflicting her, the effect is almost like a Madness Enchantment that can boost all abilities without costing her sanity - her instincts skyrocket and she becomes practically impossible to touch by normal means, accurately predicting almost any strike and retaliating with the inartistic nature of a wild animal let off it's leash.

Prana Burst: A+
The ability to reinforce one;s weapon and body through the infusion of magical energy - essentially, a "magic jet propulsion" for the body while reinforcing it with magic. By reinforcing her body's abilities to a great extent using magical energy, the physically fragile Arturia was able to fight head-on with monsters such as Heracles, and at Rank A, even a stick can become a weapon of great power. Executing large-scale body reinforcement through Prana Burst is only capable for two people - Arturia and her homunculus child Mordred, as only they have the needed magic power and use of Prana Burst. With Arturia's connection to the Grail, this ability increases with her magic's strength, enabling very few to match her in single-combat, if any.

Charisma: E
The talent to lead and command individuals and armies.
This is the one skill that has had a dramatic negative decrease as a result of Arturia's change, as she can inspire great confidence in her leadership, but the moral of soldiers drops significantly - her skills now only have any affect on those that explicitly share her desires of spreading despair to humanity, such as Kirei. Normal armies will have very low morale under her due to her lack of any sort of soothing aura, her darkened, cold and uncaring nature and her overall lack of concern for their lives.

Noble Phantasm

Invisible Air: Bounded Field of the Tyrant King
Rank: C
Type: Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm
Range: 1~2
Maximum Number of Targets: 1 Person or Object
A barrier that renders a weapon hidden by entangling it with layers of wind, altering the light-refraction rate to make the weapon invisible, and is closer to a sorcery then a Noble Phantasm. By using this barrier, Arturia can attack without the opponent recognizing the reach or trajectory of her weapons, and since concealing one's Noble Phantasm also conceals one's true identity, Invisible Air is highly effective in hiding Arturia's identity from those that know her legend - and after being blackened, only those that saw her in this state during the Fifth War (Sakura, Shirou, Rin, Illya, Berserker, Archer and Rider) will recognize her by sight alone. Invisible Air also has the advantage of increasing attack power and accuracy, entangling the weapon with wind and using the wind to help propel the blade while using the occulting air currents as an extra blade to enhance attack power. Having an "invisible weapon" also increases the hit-to-kill ratio as it is much harder for enemies to avoid a weapon they cannot see. However, it's effectiveness is decreased on those who do not depend on vision like Medusa, or those who possess Eye of the Mind like EMIYA, Sasaki Kojirou, or Heracles. The air can also be condensed, compressed and unleashed as a long-ranged weapon that mauls down groups of enemies - "The Iron Mallet of the Tyrant King." Invisible Air can be used on any of Arturia's weapons, allowing her to rapidly change the range and strategy of her attacks, ensuring that very few people survive enough encounters with her to learn how many weapons she has as well as their exact lengths and capabilities.

Black Excalibur: Black Sword of Ultimate Light/Black Sword of Promised Destruction
Rank: A++
Type: Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm
Range: 1~99
Maximum Number of Targets: 1000 People
The greatest and most powerful of the weapons Arturia wields. Made as the strongest and most majestic sword that could symbolize King Arthur, and the pinnacle of holy swords. Excalibur was not forged by mankind, but crystallized within the Earth, using the wishes of mankind - their hopes and dreams - as the basis. It is one of the ultimate God-forged weapons - a Last Phantasm - that was originally cared for by the fairies of the planet, passing into King Arthur's hands through the Lady of the Lake, Vivian. Excalibur converts the mana of the wielder into light, and as the sword is swung, the light is released from the tip of the blame like a beam of energy that destroyed everything in it's path. However, in spite of the blade's majestic origins, it, like it's sibling Arondight, has been blackened by darkness and tainted - if the blackened Arondight represents Lancelot's rage, then the blackened Excalibur represents Arturia's despair. As the weapon converts it's wielder's prana into the light of it's attacks, the dark and melancholic aura of Arturia has served to turn the blade and it's once-radiant light into a flare of blacklight, reflecting how the blade could be used for good or evil as did the duel natures of the Ladies of the Lake, Vivian and Morgana. Now, rather then embodying Humanity's hopes and dreams, the blade now embodies the sorrow and despair caused by broken hopes and shattered dreams. It's magnitude and high destructive power classifies it as an "Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm," but with her massive reserves of prana from the Grail and her ability to manufacture new prana simply by drawing breath, Arturia can fire the weapon's light multiple times without fail - she is capable of firing off the attack five times in quick succession without having to pause.

Black Rhonginyniad: Black Holy Spear of Devastation
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm
Range: 1~40
Maximum Number of Targets: 50 People
The holy spear gifted to King Arthur by the wizard Merlin, following the loss of Caliburn but prior to acquiring Excalibur. It was the weapon used by the king when mounted on horseback, and was wielded at Arthur's final battle against Mordred, being the weapon that ultimately killed the Knight of Treachery. When invoked, the spear fires a blast of light similar in concept to Excalibur, but much more narrow, acting like a needle rather then a wave of energy. It is more suitable for piercing pinpoint areas of large targets or opening a gap in a powerful defense then it would be for large armies. The spear's tip is enchanted so that, when it is invoked and it's light fired, no armor or shell plating, no matter how strong it's material, quality of it's craftsmanship, skill of it's maker, or composition of it's growth can stop it's light from piercing through the enemy - though weapons with equal strength in magic can still deflect or counteract it. Like Excalibur, it has been blackened by the corruption of her spirit.

Black Carnwennan: Shattered Pride of the Knight-King
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm
Range: 1
Maximum Number of Targets: 1 Person
The dagger used by Arturia when disguising her identity. It allows Arturia to hide her presence when wielded, mimicking the Presence Concealment of the Assassin-Class Servants, and negates any and all magic it cuts through. Used during the times when subterfuge was needed over open battle, Carnwennan was Arturia's personal defense against assassins when she was bereft of her armor and weapons, allowing her to slice through enchantments as easily as it could her would-be murderers. Like the rest of her arsenal, it was blackened by her corruption.

Black Avalon: The Ruined After-Image of Utopia
Rank: EX
Type: Bounded Field
Range:
Maximum Number of Targets: 1 Person (self)
The scabbard of Excalibur, a Noble Phantasm with it's origin in the fairyland Avalon where King Arthur is said to rest. The wielder of Avalon will heal from any and all wounds or injuries, and the aging process will cease. Unleashing the true name of Avalon will deploy a Bounded Field that provides the greatest defense - a Noble Phantasm that annuls the interference of even True Magic by cutting the wielder off from normal reality in a bubble, temporarily placing their existence in the land of the fairies. The scabbard is an existence equivalent to True Magic that not even Gilgamesh's weapon Ea: Sword of Rapture, nor his ultimate attack, Enuma Elish: Divine Star of Creation that Split Heaven and Earth, can break through. Like the rest of Arturia's weapons, the replica provided by the Throne of Heroes upon her summons has been tainted and defiled by her nihilism and despair as well as the curse of All the World's Evils, and the world within it's bounded field has become an ashen wasteland with a red sun and clouds of soot - as a replication, it is tied to Arturia, and thus alters to reflect her tainted nature, just the same as how the purifying light of Excalibur has become a black tide of destruction.
