Chapter 9: Conversation
Flipside Inn
"You're glowing again already?" Bowser asked.
"Really?" Tippi asked.
"Yeah, you're glowing green now." Mimi said.
"Did Merlon find out what's causing it or what it means?" Tippi asked.
Bowser shook his head.
"I see." Tippi said. "I'm sure he'll find out sooner or later."
The glowing had stopped.
"Girls, could you leave so Bowser and I could talk." Count Bleck said. "I have to talk to him about something important."
Tippi and Mimi headed outside, leaving Bowser and Count Bleck alone. However, Mimi thought it was best to listen in on their conversation.
"Bowser, remember when you were carrying me out of my castle and I said I sensed a strange power?" Bleck asked.
"What about it?" Bowser asked.
"I'm going to head back to that area to find out what it was." Bleck stated. "You may come with me if you wish."
"I don't think you should be going in your condition." Bowser pointed out. "I'm sure Tippi wouldn't want you going either. I know about your romance between the two of you, you shouldn't make her worry more than she needs to be. I'll go myself and see what it was, you stay here and rest."
There was a long pause from Count Bleck. "You're right, Bowser. I'll leave it to you."
Mimi quickly acted natural and began to whistle as Bowser walked outside of the Inn.
"Don't bother asking." Bowser said, walking towards the pipe that leads to Flopside.
"Let's go follow him and see what's going on." Mimi whispered to Tippi. "Come on, let's go. We can't stay in the dark forever."
Back at Castle Bleck
"These teleportations are going to make me sick." Luigi said, covering his mouth with his hands.
"Hey Dimentio!" Mr. L yelled furiously. "I checked everywhere for Nastasia and she isn't here, what gives?!"
"It's because I lied about bringing her here." Dimentio responded. "I have no use for her so why should I bring her here?"
Mr. L was silent.
"That's what I thought." Dimentio said. "Now then, time for the next trial."
