Chapter 10: Time for a recap!
"A what?!" Luigi asked with a surprised look.
"You heard me." Dimentio responded.
"You cannot be serious." Luigi said.
"Oh, but I am." Dimentio said.
Luigi growled. "I understand my trial being a quiz." There was a short pause. "But why do I have to wear a pink dress?!"
Mr. L began to snicker.
"Well?!" Luigi asked.
"Because we're bored." Mr. L said with a chuckle. "You've worn a dress before, so it's not a big deal."
"Let's just get this over with." Luigi groaned.
Dimentio snapped his fingers and caused two small neon stands with a red button on each to appear.
Luigi stepped on the one on the left while Mr. L took the on the right.
'Just what kind of questions is he going to ask?' Luigi thought.
"Let's get started!" Dimentio announced. "First question!"
Meanwhile, in another hallway
'Man, it feels like I've been walking for miles.' Bowser thought.
Bowser continued to walk forward. He arrived in front of a door and slowly opened it. As he peeked inside, there was another empty hallway.
Bowser sighed and turned around and saw Mimi standing right in front of him, scaring him half to death.
"Watcha doing?" Mimi asked.
"I'm… here to pick up my shell polisher." Bowser said hesitantly.
Mimi raised a brow and placed her hands on her hips, showing that she doesn't believe his story.
"There you are!" Tippi yelled, flying towards the two of them. "Don't leave me like that!"
"What are you two doing here?" Bowser asked.
"well…" Mimi told Bowser that she had eavesdropped on Bowser's and the Count's conversation.
"ever heard of a thing called privacy you imp?" Bowser asked, folding his arms. "But since you heard it all, you know what I'm looking for."
"Whatever it is, it's got to be hidden with some sort of magic." Mimi stated.
"Is there any way to unveil what's hidden?" Bowser asked.
"Maybe Merlon can help us out." Tippi suggested.
"Great idea, Tippi." Mimi said. "Let's get out of here."
Bowser pulled out a return pipe and they were all taken back to the top of Flipside Tower.
Back inside Castle Bleck
"Question number 49, what does-?
"For the love of Grambi, how long is this quiz?!" Luigi interrupted.
"Nearly done." Dimentio responded. "Just two more questions."
"Good." Luigi said, crossing his arms.
"The score is tied with both contestants having 24 points." Dimentio said. "Luigi, you have to get both of these next questions correct to win!"
There was applause from an invisible crowd.
"Question number 49, how old am i?" Dimentio asked.
Luigi pressed his button. "3263 years!"
"Correct!" Dimentio announced.
'Wait, how do I know that?' Luigi thought.
"Final question, how many more trials are left after this one?" Dimentio asked.
Luigi quickly pressed his button. "Two more!"
There were loud dinging sounds and confetti and balloons rained down on Luigi.
"Woohoo!" Luigi cheered, sliding on the floor with his knees.
Flipside Tower
"Bowser and Mimi have arrived at Flipside Tower and made their way to the elevator. On the way, Tippi began glowing dark blue.
"Again?" Bowser asked.
"What?" Tippi asked. "Am I glowing again?"
Bowser nodded.
"Do you feel any different?" Mimi asked.
"Not really." Tippi responded. "Do I look any different?"
The two of them shook their heads.
"That's good." Tippi said. "Now, let's get going."
The three of them went inside the elevator and made their way to Merlon's house.
