A/N- Gosh you guys probably think I dropped off the face of the earth... well I haven't, and here I am with another update. Yay! I've been gone recently because of personal issues, but I'll try to update more, even though these issues probably won't be over for a while. Enough rambling, enjoy!
It has been a few weeks since they brought Emi home from the hospital, it was hell on Erin and Jay but they're just glad their daughter is okay. They did end up having a little play date with Penny and Emi a few days after Emi came home, not that it was very productive because Emi only being 4 1/2 months and Penny 6 months.
Erin inwardly sighs to herself, she hadn't spoken with Bunny for a long time, this would be her absentee mother's first time meeting her daughter. The only reason Bunny is getting the chance is because Jay was at work and Bunny needed to speak with Erin, leaving Erin two options: leave Emi with Jay at work or bring her to see Bunny. Erin may not have much of a relationship with her mother but that doesn't mean her mother shouldn't ever meet her own grandchild.
"Erin my goodness she's beautiful, I am one proud grandma. I bought her this, here" Bunny smiles as she gives Erin an item of clothing. Erin unfolds it and takes a look, it was a purple t-shirt and legging set, the shirt read "World's cutest Love Bug" and had a lady bug on it.
"Thanks." Erin says with no emotion in her tone.
"Do you mind if I hold her?" Bunny asks, careful not to overstep any boundaries Erin might have.
"I should really be going, I've gotta go to the station and-" Bunny interrupts Erin, clearly catching on to her stalling tactics.
"Erin please, it doesn't have to be long. Just... Please, I want to hold my grand baby" Bunny pleads. Erin sighs and finally gives in, she removes Emi from her car seat and carefully passes her over to Bunny. She watches her mother smile and play with Emi's fingers. Emi looks at Erin, as if wondering if she should trust this woman or not. Erin smiles big at Emi.
"I'm your Grammy, yes I am" Bunny coos. Emi starts to flail her arms, causing Bunny to laugh.
"God she's the cutest, thank you so much Erin." Bunny passes Emi back, immediately missing the warmth and comfort the child brought.
"Yep." Erin replies.
"So will you check into it?" Bunny asks, referring to her suspicions on the rental truck business.
"I guess, but I got other important things to worry about as well." Erin replies annoyed.
"Fine. Bye Erin." Bunny watches Erin leave with Emi, she knew Erin was pissed but didn't want to show it in front of her kid.
As Erin pulls into the precinct and grabs Emi's car seat, a black van had been following her. It parks a few slots away and two men get out, they snuck up behind her as she was unbuckling Emi and hit her upside the head. They carry her towards the van, the quickly darkening sky working to their advantage.
Erin came to in the back of the van, it takes a minute for her eyes to adjust to the darkness but eventually she can make out everything, including what looked like another kidnap victim near her. She watches the woman slowly wake up, her arms and legs were tied along with cloth stuffed in her mouth. Erin soon recognized her as Sylvie Brett, the paramedic who replaced Leslie Shay.
Both women stared at the other, they knew each other but neither knew what these men wanted from them. Sylvie struggles to sit up and the men hear it, one of them turns around to look.
"Well well, look who's awake."
Roman tiredly made his way to his car, today had been a long day. He is about to open up his car door when he sees what appeared to be a homeless man approaching a car. Roman could hear a baby's cries coming from the car and he knew something was wrong, so he rushes over and scares the man off. He glances through the window, realizing this was Erin's car and the baby inside was Emi.
"Oh my god..." He gasps to himself upon seeing fresh blood on the window and ground near the car door.
Roman knew not to touch anything so he calls Voight, he would have called Jay but he knew Jay would go ballistic if he knew that something had happened to Erin and their daughter could've been snatched up as well.
"Where is she!?" Jay asks frantically as him and the rest of intelligence approach the car.
"I don't know man" Roman says slightly panicked as well. Jay retrieves Emi from Roman, she was screaming bloody murder but upon being placed in her father's arms she calm down.
"Alright, I want everyone canvasing this place! No one is going home until Erin is home and safe, everyone got that?" Voight yells angrily. The detectives nod, everyone wanted Erin back, especially Jay and Emi.
