Chapter 14: One month
It's been a month since Dimentio and Luigi have begun their battle of dominance. Luigi's body is still unconscious in the Flopside Inn. Ever since she had heard of the incident, Princess Daisy has stayed by Luigi's bed-side the entire time, hoping that he will wake up soon. Dimentio's body, however, has become nothing but dust.
"Come on Luigi, don't lose to that freak." Daisy said, hoping that Luigi could hear her.
Dark Void
"Don't worry Daisy, I won't." Luigi said with confidence.
"How precious, you have a lover." Dimentio said with a small chuckle.
"We're just… good friends." Luigi said, keeping his cool.
Luigi couldn't show any vulnerability, otherwise Dimentio could get through.
"Is that right?" Dimentio asked. "I wonder how she would feel being killed by her 'Good friend."
Outside of the Void
While Daisy was patiently waiting for Luigi to wake up, everyone else was living their lives to the fullest. Nastasia ended up studying with Merlon and was even made his successor due to her efforts and determination. Blumiere and Timpani were living happily while traversing through different lands, looking for a way to get Timpani back to her original form. Mimi became a very well-known actress and even worked with Madame Flurrie and Doopliss. Now, she owns a mansion and spent a quarter of her riches to renovate Merlee's mansion, feeling that she owed Merlee that much. O'chunks became ranked 1st at the Glitz Pit with a strange, loud-mouthed Yoshi going after his title. When he reached the top, he gained the respect of the fighters.
Everywhere Mimi and O'chunks went, they were told how great Mario was and how helpful he was.
Bowser returned to the Mushroom Kingdom and informed Toadsworth about what had happened to everyone. They had met up in front of the castle's front gates.
"My word!" Toadsworth said loudly. "Are you being serious?!"
"As serious as I've ever been." Bowser responded. "Now then, it's time I take my rightful place as ruler of this kingdom!"
"Rightful?!" Toadsworth asked. "You're taking over?!"
"That's right!" Bowser said. "After all, I married Princess Peach. Here's the wedding paper."
"But didn't you say it was just a ploy?" Toadsworth asked?"
"Pfft, yeah right! Who wouldn't want to get married to me?!" Bowser responded.
"Well I would show a list but it's inside the castle." Toadsworth said and then said. "However, I can't deny you're the rightful royalty of this kingdom."
"Toadsworth, I know you're a toad of rules but we can't let Bowser rule over the Kingdom!" One of the castle guards yelled.
"Can it, mushroom head!" Bowser yelled, letting out some fire out of his mouth. "I'm running this kingdom now, so you better get used to taking order from me!"
"Bowser, I just want to ask you one thing." Toadsworth began. "Is this what Princess Peach would want?"
Bowser became silent for a moment. "F-fine." He let out.
Bowser then decided to protect the Mushroom Kingdom only until Luigi wakes up. After that, they'll be enemies once more. After all, Bowser didn't want his conquest to be too easy.
Finally, Mr. L was out and about, exploring the world to his heart's content. Though, he couldn't get over the wrong he did to his literal half-brother. He would occasionally visit Luigi as well, sitting next to Daisy.
"Hey, if you're really Luigi's other half, can you enter Luigi's mind and save him?" Daisy asked.
"If it was that easy, I would have already done it." Mr. L responded. "Dimentio's taken every precaution with this. Luigi's on his own."
Black Void
"Feeling weak yet?" Dimentio asked.
"Far from it." Luigi responded. "Though I am a bit bored.
"Then allow me to make a joke." Dimentio suggested. "Knock knock."
"Who's there?" Luigi asked.
"Me, let me in." Dimentio said.
"You're hilarious." Luigi said sarcastically.
There was silence for a few minutes.
"What would you do with my body?" Luigi asked. "You seem so fixated on me."
Dimentio smiled. "I'm glad you asked."
