Way I Am With You

Summary: Sebastian could get any guy he wanted, except for whatever reason, Blaine Anderson. When a new guy comes to school, there might be one even more challenging... maybe.

AN: You can go ahead and hit me with the 'cliché' stick. This one is granted, very cliché in a lot of ways. I don't apologize for any of it. ;) This probably could have been a longer story, but I don't have the time or patience for that right now. See all the other open stories on here and the fact that I have another project to finish (and has to be done in the next 5 days)... ugh... Maybe once I get going this will be longer, but for now, it's a short, not a one-shot, not a full length LeBelle outing... hehe
AN2: Things are a little different in set-up with the schools, etc. A lot of it is somewhat canon based but most of it is just purely speculative/chosen for plot convenience, and again, I admit it. :D
Sebastian's become my vessel recently and I like it very much.

First Impressions
–
Sebastian didn't expect to have any classes with the new upperclassman that had joined them in the midst of the current term. It's all anyone could talk about for the last week when they found out they'd be getting a new student. By now, the boy would have already talked to the teachers and been placed according to his status in education.
Sebastian did not hold out hope that this public school boy would be placing very high in their elite school system. Sebastian was in all the advanced classes allowed for his year and moved up into senior classes where necessary. Next year he'd have free reign of choice as he'd only have a few required classes. Honestly though, they were an elite private school, there was no fluff classes like home-ec or shop for people to skate through. It would be a choice of college level in either advanced biology or advanced chemistry. Sebastian would probably do both.
He'd been told that he was pushing himself too hard, but he had a very specific stress reliever and he hadn't had any complaints yet. He was excelling in all areas of his life and those who told him to slow down were just jealous.
It was nearing the end of Monday and he hadn't seen this new kid yet. He figured that he was safe from having to endure a public school kid in one of his classes. The last class of every day was French though and the kid came waltzing in and zeroed in on his assigned seat quickly. For whatever reason, this teacher still treated them like children though they were all of driving age and in an elite private school. Hence the alphabetically assigned seats.
Sebastian barely took the kid in, he was mildly impressed as this was an advanced senior class that had limited numbers because only the nearly flawless fluent attended. Everything they discussed would be in French and would be using obscure terms and would be reading old French. It was like the more advanced course of English but in a secondary language.
They'd be discussing politics, history, novels, science concepts and more, all in French.
There were six of them now in this class, it would be a reshuffling of groups but that was ok. Sebastian had felt superior to those who had been in his and knew he'd be doing most of the heavy lifting. He was curious what this new student would be doing. He also wondered if they'd be doing groups of three now or two.
Sebastian didn't know if he should be counting his blessings or disappointed that the teacher didn't reshuffle them afterall, just placed Kurt with the current group of two, not with Sebastian. He might just be barely achieving this advanced level and Sebastian wouldn't dumb it down for him.
After class, they were still speaking in French, and the new kid looked pained. He was probably having trouble keeping up with the fast back and forth of the other two. Those two were decent in French and belonged in this level but they spoke quickly and it was hard to follow if you didn't have a good enough grasp of the language. Because they spoke quickly they stumbled over sounds and made more mistakes.
The ping-pong nature of their speech had clearly been troublesome for the kid and Sebastian walked by, intent on getting to Lacrosse practice. When he heard the guy speak, it was quick, able to keep pace with the other and it dawned on Sebastian exactly why the boy looked pained. He wasn't having trouble keeping up, it was just that he clearly noticed the mistakes too and was like Sebastian, the wrong sounds just didn't hit his ears pleasantly. Even more, Sebastian noticed that he was having trouble dumbing down his language and perfection so as not to show off. Sebastian would have just told them how it was and wouldn't do anything to lessen his own superiority in anyone's eyes. In truth, the kid's ability to match whoever he was talking to was more superior than Sebastian's skill who just forged on ahead.
He lifted a brow and the look he gave the new kid was clearly interpreted by him. He gave a small twitch of the lips, pulling at one of his cheeks into a small dimple. Then he was back with the other two, giving them his attention because it was polite, not because he had to struggle to remain in the conversation. He could probably be talking with Sebastian in French and pipe in with different comments without missing a beat.
That was impressive.
So was that dimple.
Nothing was as impressive as his eyes though. Had he achieved that look with contact lenses? Sebastian would have to investigate further when he got around to it.
The kid wasn't going anywhere, they were going to end classes together every day of the week. He had plenty of time. Besides, sooner or later he'd come to Sebastian, they all did eventually.
