CHAPTER EIGHT

FBI Headquarters in D.C.

Drake was looking at the printout in his hand thinking he was one step closer to finding Peter Connors and Sara's children. He thought about calling Sara but didn't want to get her hopes up if it turned out to be a dead end like before. He sure hoped it wasn't. Sara was devastated when she lost her children and all she wanted was them back and Drake was determined that he would find them for her. He would find them. He never lost hope that he would. He would find them!

Back in Las Vegas Sara was just waking up and felt how hard Nick was and decided that she wanted to be with him. She started kissing him and he responded quickly. He was still half asleep and grabbed Sara's ass and pulled her over on top of him and grineded into her core. This was getting serious fast and suddenly Nick woke the rest of the way up and let go of Sara thinking she didn't want this.

"Is something wrong Nick?" She asked innocently.

"I'm sorry, Sara. I really am." Nick apologized thinking he must have grabbed her in his sleep. He was so hard it hurt. He needed to get up and go into the bathroom.

"Nick you didn't do anything, I'm the one who started to kiss you, I want to be with you. I want you to make love to me." Sara told her boyfriend, the man she loved.

Nick was shocked. "Are you sure, Sara?"

"Yes Nick I'm sure, I am on the pill so if you don't have a condom it's okay, I trust you, now where were we?"

Nick grabbed Sara and pulled her back over on top of him. "We were right here." Nick kissed Sara passionately dueling with her tongue for dominance.

Nothing else was said for quite some time. As they came down off their high,

Nick told Sara. "That was amazing."

"Yes it was. Just amazing."

"Sara, you know I care about you and I want you to know you can always count on me to be here for you. I love you, Sara. I've never loved anyone like I love you." Nick told her hoping she didn't freak out.

"Oh, Nick I love you too." Sara said crying happy tears.

"Why are you crying?" A worried Nick asked.

"They're happy tears Nicky. You have made me so happy. I don't think I have ever been this happy." Sara tells her boyfriend.

"All I want to do is make you happy." Nick said.

"You do more than I can say. You make me the happiest I've been in years."

"Sara, I do love you so much. I have for a long time but you were in love with Grissom and I knew I didn't stand a chance then a few days ago I realized you weren't anymore and I saw my chance and I took it. I am so glad I did. You make me happy."

"Nick, I hate to say it but we are going to have to get up and shower and get breakfast and get to work soon. Maybe if we get up now we can shower together."

"Now that I would love to do. Come on Sara let's get a move on. Race you into the shower." Nick hops out of bed and heads to the shower.

"You cheat, just you wait. I'll get you back." Sara now hops out of bed and went to the bathroom where a naked Nick was.

Nick sees Sara walk in in all of her glory and is awestruck at this beautiful woman who was all his. Nick was surprised that Sara loved him, he was happy she did though. He was ready for her to shut the door in his face when he told her accidently. He was glad he did though. He couldn't imagine being happier than he was right then. He turned the water on and Sara stepped up and adjusted it to how she liked it which he didn't mind. It was a hot temperature which he liked himself. They got in and washed each other and when Nick rubbed her clit she moaned and that led to Nick pushing into her and making love to her standing up. He pushed into her over and over again and she came first followed closely by Nick. They stood there with Sara's back against the wall and Nick stood there with his back all scratched up from Sara's nails from where he hit into her g-spot she had raked her nails down his back. They stood there for several minutes trying to get their breath back. Finally Nick stepped out of the shower and pulled Sara out and dried her off and she went into her bedroom to put on some clothes. Nick followed behind her wishes they had time to try out the bed again, but they didn't. Later after shift, he promised himself.

Sara was thinking the same thing. They didn't have time for anything but to eat and get ready for work. But after work. She thought that would be different.

They went into the kitchen where Sara made a quick meal which is all they had time for and then they headed to separate vehicles and headed to work.

They arrived about a half hour before anyone else except Grissom. Grissom saw them come in laughing and asked them to come in to his office and shut the door.

Nick and Sara were weary to say the least.

Grissom started talking. "I'm sorry I reacted badly to your relationship. I shouldn't have threatened you Nick to break up with Sara. Sara I'm sorry I strung you along for so long, you had every right to move on with your life, which you did with Nick. I'm sorry for trying to come between you. It won't happen again, none of it will." Grissom saw the looks between them and knew that they had been together. It was in their body language.

"Does that mean that you won't keep Nick and me apart on assignments? We work really well together."

"No, I won't keep you apart on assignments as long as you are professional. No bringing outside problems to work. If you do then I will have to separate you. No kissing at crime scenes or anywhere else this is a place of business not your home. As long as you can obey these rules we will have no problems."

"Grissom, Sara and I are professional and will act accordingly." Nick tells his boss.

"Yes, we won't be bringing personal things to work." Sara agreed with Nick

"Good, then there will be no more problems. I will be professional from here on out. I was just shocked to learn that you and Nick were together. That doesn't excuse my behavior though."

"No, it doesn't" Sara said.

"But we can put it behind us and move on." Nick said.

"Thank you." Grissom tells two of his team.

"Are we done? I could use a coffee." Sara tells them.

"We're done." Grissom tells them and they walk over to the door and Nick holds it open for Sara and they walk to the locker room where Warrick is and he notices the change in them. They are laughing at something that only they know what it is. They won't tell Warrick when he asked what was funny.

They all three head to the break room to get a coffee. They laugh and joke with each other. Warrick had noticed the difference in them and especially in Sara. She was more relaxed. Well it seems it's not a platonic relationship anymore. He knows they had to have had sex and he was going to talk to Nick when he could about how to treat Sara which he was sure Nick already knew that he would kick his ass if he hurt Sara but he just wanted to make sure Nick did know it.

Soon Catherine and Grissom show up and assignments are handed out.
