LOUIS POV (New POV because I like spicing things up; and Bella is supposed to be unconscious through this whole chapter and that would be a boring monologue)
It was 10 in the morning and Bella was still asleep in her coffin. I was getting more and more anxious but Lestat kept saying that this was normal and he did not expect Bella to wake up until tomorrow. That's bad because we have the meeting tonight.
"Wouldn't it be better if she wasn't present? If she let something slip when she was with one think about what she would say to all of them." Lestat pointed out. Yes, due to her scent we concluded she must have ran into one of the Cullens. What she said though is still a mystery.
"You have a point but what would we say?"
"Let's hear what they have to say first, find out what they know, and go from there." Lestat shrugged and laid back on the couch. He was too carefree sometimes. O.K. maybe all the time.
I walked over and stood above him. "This isn't time to be lying around."
In a second he was up and inches from my face with his hand on my neck. I didn't flinch nor move. "You need to calm down Louie. You worry too much about the little things. Why do you even care if the Cullens find out what really happen or not? Don't you think it would be better if they knew?"
I scrunched my eyes in confusion. "What do you mean?"
He snickered and pulled away to walk to the other side of the room, speaking as he took each step. "Think about it: your "daughter" erased the minds of everyone who has ever loved her and why? To protect them? HA." He stood right in front of Bella's door. "And you let her."
"I agreed with what she did. If Armand knew they had been that close to her he would have destroyed them. Bella knew she would have to live on the run and so did this so they could have a normal life. It was all for them, for him."
Lestat snickered, making me ball my hands into fists. "If you ask me, she didn't do it for them, but rather for herself."
"What the hell are you going on about?"
He walked and leaned on the couch's back. "After her memories she went back to the Volturi but the minute that one vampire envisioned Bella's death she panicked and erased their minds. Don't you think she did it for her own gain? Maybe she thought the vision meant the Cullens were going to have something to do with her death and so to save herself she made sure it never happened."
"Bella would not do that?"
"This is the same Bella who destroyed a whole coven when they killed Claudia." I flinched as he said that name. "Armand's coven no less. It was then Bella left humanity. This whole innocent girl trying to protect her loved ones is an act Louie. She has no sense of humanity left and getting her memories back brought that back as well."
"You don't know what you are saying." I shouted.
"The human Bella is gone, been gone for years. That girl in there is nothing more than a living monster that is driven by anger and bloodlust. Face it Louie; she's turning into Claudia."
That did it. I lunged for him, falling over the couch and onto the floor. The coffee table broke in the process. I got on top and began punching him in the face. "You. Have. No. Right. To. Say. Her. Name." I said in between punches.
He was then able to grab my wrists and kicked me off, making me hit the wall. "Claudia is both of our blame never forget that. Just because you showed her a little more compassion does not undo the fact you helped create her. Just like now. You didn't turn her but you allowed her to be brought into this world and therefore you share the blame for Bella's transformation.
If Armand comes, and Bella does end up killing him, just think of what it will do to her. The vision was of Bella lying on the ground burning and she was awake. You are not stupid Louie, you know what that means."
I stood up. "It won't happen." I desperation sunk into my voice. "I will save Bella before that happens."
"You really think you could? Face it Louis: Bella's planning to kill herself."
BANG. A loud thud was made from Bella's room. I ran quickly and when I opened the door I gasped. Bella was trying to get out of the coffin. The top was on the other side of the room. "Bella you need to rest." I walked over and tried to help her back in but she pushed me away. "Bella?"
"So the demon woke up on her own?" Lestat stood in the door way with a smirk. "Quite a stupid move."
Bella didn't say anything for awhile, just stared up at Lestat with a menacing glare as half her body leaned out of the coffin. When she did speak I could barely hear her. "There's a difference….between me….and..mother." Taking a deep breath she sat up as little as she could. "When I see me creator. I intend to make sure he's dead."
I gasped, never have seen Bella so full of hate. Lestat's smirk stayed. "Let us hope so." With that Bella fell back in the coffin and closed her eyes. Her face now relaxed. I grabbed the top and put it back on as best as I could.
"I was wrong." Lestat muttered. "She's worse than Claudia."
Closing the door to her room I glared at him. "When this is over. I want you gone."
He shrugged. "As you wish."
