Sometimes I feel like a chapter writes itself. Even the really short ones. Apparently a character study of Colin Fitzpatrick needed to happen. He's a sick demented person. I think I've watched too many episodes of Criminal Minds. Hopefully this will give you a clue as to what Team Arrow is dealing with. Arrow has introduced a couple of scary/creepy bad guys. This is my version.
If his mother, God rest her soul, knew what he did for a living, she'd kill him. Sara Fitzpatrick believed in going to church every Sunday and not sparing the rod. She made it her mission to make sure he turned out good after she saw him killing a bird. Perhaps if she had spared the rod a little more he wouldn't have turned out twisted.
Colin Fitzpatrick had no regrets. He knew what he was good at and made a career out of it. Besides, he loved his job and had ample opportunity to use his skills.
Killing.
Murder.
Torture.
He did it all.
Matheus found him after he knifed a guy who beat him at cards. Instead of threatening to call the police, he hired him. Anyone his boss wanted to get rid of he took care of. Sometimes it was quick and others he cherished as he made them scream.
Now Matheus wanted him to kill the Arrow. He'd interfered too often and was costing him a lot of money. Colin knew he'd be a hard kill but he had enough confidence in himself to know he'd get him. Killing the Arrow would be his greatest accomplishment and would cement his standing within the organization.
A row of six knives were lined up on his desk. Each held incredible stories and the blood of many victims. He kept them sharp and clean. He'd always be ready for whoever he needed to kill next.
A small whimper distracted him from his thoughts. Looking over, he saw the woman who decided she would betray Matheus and go to the police. Luckily, like any good criminal organization, they had people on the payroll in the police department. As soon as she spoke, she was dead.
"You shouldn't have gone to the police," he told her. Picking up one of the longer knives, he got up and came over to where he had her tied up in the bathtub. "Matheus treated you good. You were his favorite."
He bent down next to her and took in her naked form. She was Matheus favorite and it had angered him so much to learn of her betrayal that he ordered Colin to make her death slow and painful.
He smiled and felt a thrill go through his body at the look of horror in her brown eyes. She knew. All the girls knew what a sick bastard he was. Soon, so would the Arrow.
"I think I'll start here," he told her as he placed the knife over her left breast.
Her muffled screams and cries lasted through the night.
