This chapter is a little intense. There's torture of a beloved character. Don't hate me.
Edit: Quick update. I noticed a couple of typos
Felicity knew things turned truly bad the moment Arrow left his lips. By the delighted look on his face, she knew she hadn't been successful in hiding her surprise. How did he know she worked with the Arrow? What was he going to do to her?
"I see you know who I'm talking about," Colin said.
"Everyone knows who the Arrow is," she told him flippantly. "He's on the news every night."
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a pocket knife and flicked it open. He brought it up to her cheek and softly slid it down her cheek. "I think you know more."
Her heart felt like it was trying to beat out of her chest. She could feel the light scrape of the knife on her skin. By the way he easily handled the knife, she knew he had a lot of experience with using it.
"I don't know who the Arrow is," she told him, knowing he wouldn't believe her.
The playful light in his eyes disappeared and was replaced by anger. While looking her in the eyes, he brought the knife down and sliced her arm. Felicity cried out as pain radiated through her arm. The warm trickle of liquid let her know he cut her deep enough to make her bleed.
"You want to change your answer?" He asked.
Even with tears in her eyes and pain in her arm, she shook her head. She would never give up Oliver. "You can do whatever you want, I'll never tell you anything!"
He chuckled. "That's what they all say. But I always get them to talk."
He got up and walked to the doorway. A man came over and Colin spoke with him. She couldn't hear what they were saying but she knew it wasn't good. He wasn't done with her. The man left for a moment before coming back with a cart. He rolled the cart in, Colin following behind him, and parked it close to where she sat.
Once the man was out of the dank room, and the door shut, he turned back to her with a truly creepy smile on his face.
"Growing up, I always liked to hurt things," he told her. "Animals, people, it didn't matter. As long as I made them bleed."
Felicity's eyes widened at his words. He was insane! A serial killer working for the mob!
"I'm going to make you bleed Felicity," he continued. "You'll scream and eventually tell me who the Arrow is."
Oliver arrived at QC and was surprised to not see Felicity at her desk. She always arrived before he did and she usually greeted him with a stack of phone messages. He checked his cell phone to make sure he hadn't missed a call from her. There weren't any missed calls on his phone. Last night she hadn't given any indication she would be out today. In fact, he recalled her saying she would be in early to prep for a meeting he had today.
Becoming worried, he quickly dialed Digg. "Diggle, has Felicity contacted you this morning?" He asked once the phone was answered.
"No," he replied. "What's going on?"
Oliver rushed into his office to check his office phone. There were no messages. "She's not here," he told Diggle. "I haven't heard from her."
"I'll stop by her apartment," Diggle assured him. "Maybe she slept through her alarm."
He doubted it. Oliver disconnected the call and went back out to Felicity's desk. She kept a paper copy of their schedules. He looked through it to see if she had written any morning appointments in. Nothing! Just his meeting, which was in ten minutes.
His cell phone rang. Looking at the screen, he saw it was Digg. "Is she with you?" He asked.
"She's not here," Digg answered. "But her purse, keys and tablet are here."
Oliver's stomach dropped. She would never go anywhere without her tablet. "Call Lance. Let him know she's missing. I'll be there in ten."
Ending the call, he went back to his office and called Felicity's back up at QC. "Gina hi. I need you to cancel all my meetings for today. I have an emergency."
"Of course Mr. Queen," she said. He knew he probably just ruined the woman's day, but finding Felicity took priority over everything.
Felicity was tied to a chair in her bra and underwear. Colin had removed them himself and brushed her hair. She found how he softly brushed her hair more unnerving than anything else. Now he was sitting in front of her with an increasingly pleased look on his face. She had a few more fresh cuts on her arms and legs. A couple felt deep enough to need stitches.
"I can increase your pain," he told her. "Make you scream and cry. Do you want more pain Felicity."
She shuddered each time he said her name. "I'm not telling you anything."
He smiled. "I was hoping you would say that cause I'd like to have fun with you." Gripping the handle of the knife, he jabbed into her thigh.
A cry of agony escaped her lips as pain ripped through her leg. Fuck that really hurt. It more than hurt. She wasn't sure if she'd ever be able to walk right again.
He left the knife in, hoping to use it later to up her pain level. "Who is the Arrow?"
Felicity bit her bottom lip, trying to stay focused. "I don't know."
Colin grabbed another knife from the cart. This one had serrated edges. She visibly flinched at the sight of it. "Felicity, Felicity. We both know you do."
She pulled her eyes away from the knife and looked back at him. By the gleam in his eyes, she could tell he was enjoying all of this. Matheus had no conscious to employ someone like Colin.
"And we both know Matheus killed that boy," she spat back at him. "Do you really think the Arrow is going to let him get away with that?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "The kid shouldn't of been out so late."
"You're sick," she told him with disgust. "The Arrow will make sure your boss pays."
Colin brought the knife to her neck and nicked her. A small amount of blood dribbled down her neck.
"You can do whatever you want to me," she cried, "But I will not tell you who he is." She glared at him through her glasses so he could see she meant every word. If Oliver and Diggle didn't get here soon, she knew he was going to kill her. Thank goodness they didn't take away her glasses. A tracker was located in the earpiece. She showed Diggle how to trace them on her computer. Hopefully they realized she was missing and were looking for her now.
"What did you do with his body?" She asked.
Colin flicked the knife that was still in her leg with his finger. She bit the inside of her cheek to hold back her cry of pain.
"I'm the one asking the questions," he told reminded her.
"I told you I won't give him up!"
Colin quickly grabbed another knife from his collection and stabbed her in her other leg. She couldn't hold back her scream. It echoed through the room as he twisted the knife. Tears streamed down her face as some of the worse pain she had ever felt radiated through her body.
Colin decided he liked her screams. He wanted to hear more of them. Make her bleed. Plus she would draw out the Arrow. He smiled down at her and picked up his favorite knife.
Oliver entered the lair and threw off his suit jacket. He was undoing his tie when he came up next to Diggle at Felicity's desk.
"Did you find anything?" He asked, anxious to get started.
Diggle nodded his head. "Her tracker is still on. I'm running a trace and should have her location in a minute."
Oliver was relieved. He grabbed his arrow suit from its case and quickly changed. He was filling his quiver with arrows when Diggle joined him. He handed him a piece of paper with an address on it.
"I traced her to this address," Diggle told him. "She's in the Glades."
Oliver pulled on his mask and flicked his hood up. "Let's go."
