Naruto X

AN: I really liked the last chapter. I dunno about all of you but I'm enjoying myself.

A flash of gray light fell down at the gates of Konoha and Naruto stood there looking at the village with a smile on his face. Kakashi, Sakura and Sasuke were busy trying to hold their stomach and regain their sense of balance.

Once the weird motion sickness finally subsided, they slowly began to make their way inside the village and straight to the hokages office. Upon arriving, Sarutobi was shocked to see them. They all seemed so different from when they had left his office the first time.

"Welcome back. I'll have your mission report." He said and Kakashi stepped forward. "The mission was a success. Shortly after departing, we were attacked by the demon brothers, two chuunin ranked nin from Mist. After finding out they were after our client, we elected to continue the mission despite the risks. After that, we were assaulted by Zabuza, one of the seven swordsmen and his apprentice.

After that, we had a weeks worth of time to train and on the last day, Zabuza and his apprentice were back. After eliminating them, Gato had shown up with a group of bandits that were dispatched. After that, the bridge was built in peace and we came back." At that, the hokage nodded, "Team 7 will be paid for the completion of an A rank mission. I'm very proud of all of you. All but Kakashi are dismissed." He said, and with a quick bow, the genin excused themselves.

Once they were out of the room, Sarutobi's smile dropped. "Now Kakashi, the real story." He said and the cycloptic jounin sighed before he took a seat. "Where do I even begin?" he mumbled before he sat straight up and cleared his throat. "On our way out, the demon brothers attacked. I used the substitution jutsu so I could see who their real target was. They drew in to attack but Naruto shot one of them in the face, killing him instantly." At this, Sarutobi's eybrows raised.

"The brother attacked Naruto in a fit of rage and was quickly killed. While Naruto was dealing with what he had done, I grilled Tazuna for answers and found out he had lied about the danger he was in because his country was poor. I was about to make us return when surprisingly Naruto opted we continue the mission. Sasuke and Sakura also voted that we keep going, so I relented and we continued.

Shortly after that, Naruto shot at something and a white rabbit ran out from the spot. Zabuza chose this moment to attack and while the area was covered in mist, I heard Naruto firing so I'm assuming he was dealing with the water clones.

After I was captured with a jutsu, Naruto showed me his actual charged attack and Zabuza let me out of the prison to avoid it. When it was me and Naruto getting ready to attack, someone incapacitated Zabuza with some senbon. That was when a hunter ninja appeared and claimed to have been after Zabuza for some time, but Naruto quickly shot both of them in the chest. His claim was that the hunter nin was the same person who used the substitution jutsu with the rabbit." At this, the jounin paused to collect his thoughts and take a few breaths.

"I was suffering from chakra exhaustion and passed out. The bodies of Zabuza and his apprentice were left there. The next day I said I was going to train them in chakra control and Naruto revealed to me that he can no longer use chakra because of his condition." He got a nod from the hokage. "So with that, I said he was free to go see Megaman X for his training purposes while I alternated training and guard duty with Sakura and Sasuke.

On that final day, to our shock, Zabuza and his apprentice were not only alive, but attacking us. But they were acting different and Zabuza's eyes were pure white. Neither of them was using any jutsu and they weren't bleeding or reacting to pain or any attacks we did. According to Sakura and Sasuke, they had broken the hunters arm and even slit his throat, but he didn't stop fighting." The hokage actually looked shocked at this information.

"But as we were fighting, we all noticed that something was wrong with their chest where Naruto had shot them and upon tearing their clothing open, we found that they had metal in their chest, similar to that of Naruto's own body." At this, the hokage narrowed his eyes. There were only two people he thought of that could fit these ideas. One was his old student Orochimaru, but Kakashi had said the metal looked like the one Naruto had, so that ruled out the snake, leaving only Sigma.

So he had to wonder, what Sigma was doing reanimating random corpses. It didn't seem to make sense. Kakashi continued on however. "I had summoned my hounds to pin Zabuza down and I used the chidori on him. That was how I discovered what was wrong with his chest because my attack didn't work. As he was being held, I heard noises and checked on Sasuke and Sakura, both were incapacitated and the hunter was attacking the client.

Before either of us could reach him however, I heard the sound of Naruto's weapon charging and a blast hit the hunter ninja and sent them off the bridge. The hunter climbed back up and immediately charged Naruto, but Naruto showed me that his charge went to another level and he immediately destroyed all trace of the hunter, all that remained was the metal from their chest with immediately exploded and caused lots of damage to the bridge.

Zabuza broke free of my hounds and instead of doing anything rational like attacking me or going for Tazuna while we were all distracted, he charged directly for Naruto. The boy further surprised me when he pulled out a blade made of energy and began to fight back before finally beating Zabuza by slicing him apart and getting rid of the metal in his chest before it exploded. That was when Gato and his men had shown up." Here he paused, as if he seemed to be lost in his own thoughts before continuing. "Naruto tried to persuade Gato and his men to stand down, but they refused. Suddenly…Naruto's armor changed color and he charged up his attack again. But instead of a blast of energy like before…he sent out a giant wave of fire that completely incinerated all of them to ashes in seconds. It was…brutal, but effective. He had essentially wiped out an entire army of bandits in a matter of seconds by himself." Sarutobi sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Megaman X was not exaggerating then. The boy has minimal training with his new body but has more than enough power to handle anything thrown his way. I have no doubts the boy could handle any jounin in the village at this point." He sighed, causing Kakashi to slowly nod his head.

"If I had not seen it first hand, I would think you were going senile lord Hokage. I have no idea what training he has gone under, nor do I know what abilities he all has. I just know he has the energy shot, the energy sword, can shoot fire and move fast enough to make an after image of himself. I don't want to pry but I am curious as to everything the boy knows." He said, and the hokage nodded. "I too am curious, but at the same time I don't want the boy to suspect we are against him. Quite honestly I'm glad for the boy, just not the circumstances." He said, making the jounin nod.

Both were quiet for some time before Sarutobi spoke up. "So what have you taught Haruno and Uchiha?" he asked and at that Kakashi seemed to perk up. "Well I'm teaching them both taijutsu. Sakura seems to finally have taken her training seriously and is starting to train hard. Sasuke learns taijutsu like a sponge. I'm teaching him a style that does not guard, but rather focuses on dealing as much damage as quickly as possible. Whereas with Sakura, I'm teaching her a style that focuses entirely on defense and counter attacks. She's taken to it very well and nearly broke my wrist in training." He said, causing the hokage to smirk. "Very good, Kakashi you are dismissed. Keep up the good work." With a nod, the jounin stood up and shunshin'd out of the room.

The old man let out a sigh before he picked up his pen and resumed his paperwork. Quite honestly he was worried about the boy, but as long as he was safe he would not pry into his life.

-With team 7-

They had all just shared what they did during the seven day break. Kinda. Naruto simply stated he did more training to adjust to his body while Sakura and Sasuke talked about their own training with Kakashi. Each of them were impressed with their own changes, however, Sasuke had questions. "Naruto, I want to ask you something." He said, making the boy blink in surprise. "Sure, Sasuke, what's up?" he replied. The raven haired boy thought about his question for a moment before asking "Can you tell me more about your digital eye? What does it do exactly?" he asked.

Naruto blinked in surprise. "Is that all? Well right now all I can really do with it is zoom in on things and see far away or scan something to see random information. Like…say if I scanned that sign. It would tell me what kind of wood it is, I could translate it to another language, and I could find the location of the store with a birds eye view. Just…random information you know?

Now if I had scanned a person, I can find out information about them. Like, eye color, hair color, skin tone, race, ethnicity, bloodlines, what jutsu the person knows, what kind of items they carry on their person. If the information exists, I can find it. If I had scanned the person before, I can keep track of them or find their location." Here he paused to breath before one of his right eye seemed to glow a faint red. "With my eye like this, everything I see is changed. The entire world is red and my vision ignores certain obstructs like steam, mist, dust…as long as it's not solid, I can see through it. I can even see in pitch black. While my eye is like this, my eye is constantly scanning, but the information is show in the top right of my peripheral vision. I can also tell a clone apart from the real deal."

He sighed before his eye changed and the red looked orange. "I can change the type of vision I have in case something is able to evade detection. Orange is heat vision, green is night vision, white is a form of x-ray vision but it's very limited. Like…it scans ahead and gets information on things around or behind walls so I can see them, like say if someone or something was around a corner. I wouldn't fully know who or what was there, because it doesn't give detailed information however. The green eye can sense energy like chakra. My original eye can do all of these functions but when I switch to a specific function, it works better. It's nice but can be overwhelming in some cases." He finished, making his two teammates blink at that surge of information.

Sasuke thought the last part was useful, but he did agree that it sounded like a bit of trouble to deal with and honestly didn't sound quite as powerful as the sharingan. Sakura thought the entire deal was great and was honestly a bit jealous.

"That still seems like a good deal, you know everything your opponent can do and what they are carrying in terms of weapons or equipment." Sakura said "Not to mention, being able to see ahead of you or see in unfavorable conditions means you can't be caught off guard." Sasuke just grunted and Naruto nodded. "I never really thought to use it that way. I normally have it off and just keep scanning constantly." He said.

Sakura looked at Naruto in shock. "If you had used those abilities to begin with, we wouldn't have been ambushed by the demon brothers." She said and Naruto looked at her sheepishly. "Actually I knew they were there. I just didn't do anything because I wasn't sure if they were after us." causing both of his teammates to openly gape at him.

"What? Kakashi sensei knew they were there as well and didn't say anything. Besides, what if they WEREN'T there for us and I attacked?" he retorted, making the girl sigh. "Fair enough Naruto, but you could have given all of us a warning or something."

The blonde rubbed the back of his head. "I'll try to remember next time." He said, Sakura accepted the answer, although Sasuke just rolled his eyes and kept walking. The three kept going, walking off to random locations in silence for a while until Sakura looked over at Naruto. "So…what else can you do? I saw you use fire so what else can you shoot from that crazy hand of yours?" she asked, Sasuke's ears perked up at that as well and Naruto just blinked.

"Well. I guess I can tell you, but it would be easier to show you." He said and the three of them made their way to the training grounds. Once they had arrived, Naruto lowered his hologram, making both of the genin almost jump in surprise. "This is just my armor. I don't want to draw attention to myself so that's why I cover it up with the illusion. Anyways, you've all seen my regular shot." At this, he fired one of the small yellow blasts at a tree, causing it to get destroyed at the impact area and the rest of the tree fell over.

"Next is various levels, but they're all called charged shots." He said and he charged his attack a small bit to the blue level and fired. It had torn through the tree this time without stopping. Then he began to charge again and he let it charge longer and the blue energy suddenly changed yellow and when he fired, a huge blast of bluish white and red energy flew out and destroyed everything that it was flying into.

The trees hit by the blast were destroyed instantly and fell apart into nothing but splinters. The power from the attack cracking the entire tree apart from the blast area, sending bits of wood flying everywhere, and the attack was still going and had destroyed a boulder and even tore up part of the ground until the energy finally dissipated and vanished.

At this point, Naruto was already charging again and he let the charging go on longer until his body began to glow with a red energy. Once it was at this point, the humming noise from him charging was almost deafening and when he fired, an energy blast flew out from behind him while three balls of energy flew forward, weaving around each other as they flew and destroyed everything in their path. This attack flew on for a longer time before the energy finally parted and Naruto was doing something to his gun before he began to charge again.

"I actually have two different levels to that charge. Each shot does something different. That one you saw has multiple blasts and a blast behind me, but individually, those shots are weak. This one however…" he said as he shot, and an enormous red ball of energy was fired from the buster gun. If they thought the other attacks were powerful, then this one towered above the rest.

The very ground was tore at least a few inches down, as if someone had taken a till through it. Trees and rocks alike were destroyed, even if they weren't in the direct path of the attack and they looked like a chunk was taken out of them compared to the other charged shot.

They couldn't even see the attack anymore by the time it had dispersed and both genin were floored. Naruto turned to them and blinked. "What? That was just my default attack." He said, making Sakura shriek. "What do you mean "default"?! Are you telling me you have more than just that?" she yelled, and the blonde just rubbed the back of his head. "Well yeah. Not all of the enemies I've fought even took damage from those attacks." He said, making Sasuke and Sakura gape at him. Who the hell could take that kind attack and not take any damage from it?!

Naruto's armor suddenly changed to a blue and yellow color and he aimed his buster at a tree. "This is shotgun ice." He said as he fired, a chunk of ice flew out and while that didn't seem all that impressive other than an ice bullet, once it collided with something, it broke off into multiple pieces and ricocheted back in different directions.

He changed once more to a red color and a wave of fire flew out from the buster gun. "This is fire wave." He said as he stopped it and changed to purple and suddenly fired a miniature tornado out of the gun that was slicing up everything and pushing it away at the same time. "That is storm tornado." He said before his armor changed to a pink color and he fired out a small blue ball that was rolling along the ground. It collided with a tree before returning back and finally vanishing. "That was rolling shield." He said before his armor turned black and gray and he fired out a bladed boomerang. "This is boomerang cutter." He said as he changed again to a yellow and silver color and fired a ball of electricity. "That is electric spark." He explained again as he changed to a green and white color and fired three green blasts of energy that flew in separate directions.

"That would be chameleon sting." He said, changing again to another color, this time to a gray and green and he fired out a strange pointed object that flew in a straight line before hitting a tree and exploding, making that tree fall over. "And that is homing torpedo." He said before he turned back to his default gray coloring and turned to his teammates, who looked a bit shook up.

"Is…that what you learned while you were off training?" The pink haired girl asked and Naruto just nodded. "Yeah, there's a bunch of robots that decided they wanted to hurt humans and I help fight them. Every time I defeat one of them, I get to use their power. It's kinda neat." He said and Sasuke finally spoke up "So wait. To train you to get used to your body, they have you going out and fighting rogue robots?" he asked and Naruto just nodded. "Well they say that it's called a training simulation, that while the training can be dangerous, it's not real either. They won't let me go out and fight the real deal since I'm not officially a maverick hunter." He explained.

"Maverick hunter?" Sakura echoed in confusion. "Yeah, mavericks are what they call the robots that decide to hurt humans. See, normally a robot isn't supposed to hurt people, those are called reploids. But when they go crazy, it's up to the maverick hunters to put a stop to them." He explained and the girl nodded her head.

"That…sounds pretty cool actually. So does that make you a robot?" she asked and he shook his head. "Nah, I'm what they call a cyborg. Half human, half machine. A robot doesn't look human or act human at all. Then there are androids, which look, act and behave like a human but they aren't actually human." He said and the girl looked thoughtful. "So…can YOU go maverick?" she asked and he blinked. "I'm still human Sakura." He deadpanned and she had the decency to blush. "Right, sorry. So these robots and androids are they in Konoha?" she looked nervous asking this but Naruto shook his head. "To my knowledge, there are no robots. But there is one android on the loose somewhere, he's the one who attacked me." He answered and she nodded. "So, what is the other place like? The one you go train at?"

Sasuke blinked, he'd never heard Sakura talk quite this much and Naruto was answering everything, so he remained silent and just listened in. The entire thing sounded way too unreal for him, but if Naruto hadn't shown what he was capable of, he would never have believed it. But there was no denying the proof he had been shown and while he was slightly envious of the power, he reminded himself that he did not want to go through the process that Naruto did in order to obtain that power. Losing the use of his chakra was too big of a risk for him.

-Meanwhile-

"Sigma." Orochimaru said as he watched the man writing information down, he had no idea what any of it meant but it was still fascinating. "What was the purpose of bringing those two back to life? They had lost the use of their chakra and they acted like complete morons, merely shells of their former selves. I fail to see the use in that purpose." He said and the ex-hunter laughed, only confusing the snake sennin.

"They were prototypes. Nothing more, nothing less. I had no hope for them to accomplish anything. Their programmed objective was to kill the boy, but truthfully it was a test to see how much he has grown since our last encounter. If they succeeded in killing him then that would have been the end of that and I could have put all my focus on Megaman X and Zero.

Rather, they have revealed that the boy not only has gotten stronger, but he now possesses the means to combat me. I have no doubt that X and Zero are behind this." He said as he finished drawing up his plans before turning towards an operating table behind him that had a boy strapped to it with an oxygen mask over his face.

"After all, every project needs to be properly tested before it is put into motion. I know you wished to use your impure world resurrection technique, but quite honestly, it will be worthless compared to this project once it's finished and it won't have a ridiculous requirement like a human sacrifice. My project just needs a body, living or dead, it doesn't matter. It won't even matter the condition of the body either if all goes according to plan." He boasted as he picked up a scalpel and began to cut into the boys arms.

Orochimaru watched with fascination but frowned. The man had basically said the jutsu was useless. Granted it had setbacks but at least his puppets had some semblance of intelligence and cunning than the things Sigma was reviving. He did like the idea behind the project Sigma was working on, but even the snake had no idea what the full extent of his goal was.

So far he had been working on various subjects, right now he was operating on one of the genin he had plans for. With a sigh, he watched Sigma perform his operation. He didn't like these changes, but Sigma assured him that the end goal would be worth it. For his sake, it had better be.
