Aliens and Dragons
A new chapter for everyone to read. I'm also working on other stories to publish. Specially some one-shots to check on how well they are received by fans. That way I can head straight into new Animes, Cartoons, Games, etc.
But for now, Enjoy!
Chapter 5: Family
The blonde human reporter and the two human-like male aliens were staring at the triangle-shaped spacecraft, now the three of them a few miles away from the farm so to not destroy anything in the best case situation.
In the worst situation... well, chances so far were fifty-fifty and they preferred they could stay that way.
"So let's recall what happened" Chloe said towards Goku, who looked at her, now with his orange Gi dry "You felt an energy below the dam" The Saiyan nodded.
"An alien energy like mine" Clark chimed in and the alien visitor nodded again.
"And you just dig it out?" The reporter asked, almost not believing it. Key word, almost. But in her life in Smallville, Chloe had learnt that you should never count the eggs before they had hatched.
She wanted to facepalm. Cheesy farm jokes already. Lois was really influencing her in bad ways.
"It wasn't easy at first. There were a lot of green rocks floating around that were very annoying" The palm-haired man explained arms folded over his chest.
"What did you do with those rocks?" Clark asked. Knowing Goku, he might have unknowingly dropped some of them at Luthor's entrance. And more meteor freaks was just not funny anymore.
"Blasted them to dust" Goku replied with a shrug of shoulders. The farm alien sighed. He knew Goku was too honest to lie about something like that. Specially when he didn't know about Kryptonite and the detrimental effects they had on Kryptonians. Or in people.
"Any of you know how to open a ship?" Chloe asked the question everyone had.
"Beats me. I don't even remember how my ship was opened" Clark confessed. He did remember that a key was needed but he had accidentally destroyed it along with his ship a couple of years ago.
There was an eery silence that followed the statement.
"Well, alien or not, I only know one way to open a can" Goku stated honestly while cracking his knuckles. Before the others said anything, he fired a forward punch that impacted the metal hard. The Saiyan was shot backwards by the recoil, his blow landing little to no damage over the dense structure. Goku rubbed his hand in pain. That metal was harder than anything he had ever hit before. And he could hit hard.
"Good thinking Goku, but less punches and more ideas would be just as good" Chloë interfered now, only half amused while her brain racked itself for an answer. The ideas' light bulb suddenly light up on her unchallengeable brain "Clark, you are Kryptonian!" If this were Goku's universe, Clark would have already sweat drop or fallen in his back Anime Style.
"Gee, Chloe, what gave me away?" The alien said sarcastically towards his girlfriend.
"Not that, silly. But if this ship is Kryptonian then obviously has an emergency defense for only another Kryptonian to open it" The reporter stated her theory.
"Better than nothing" Goku exclaimed. He thought of blasting the hard structure with a Kamehameha wave but maybe Chloe was into something better.
Clark looked at the red spacecraft, feeling some sort of connection to it. Hopefully whatever or whoever was inside wouldn't be a live-threatening menace. The farm alien placed his open palm on the unyielding steel, feeling the warm sensation after been exposed to the noon sunlight.
As soon as Clark' skin touched the metal, a circle of apparent runes showed up. Both Chloe and Goku had no idea what the symbols could mean. Clark had just a vague idea. The runic array was a set of Kryptonian words, one of them the S symbol of the House of El.
Touching that particular emblem, the S shone in a green color. Just like Earth, green light was the go. A sliding noise made the earth-raised Kryptonian to back step slightly. The ship was finally open.
A blonde-haired woman walked outside the ship carrying herself carefully almost like just woken up from a slumber. She surveyed everything around her with vibrant baby blue eyes. Her body was covered in a white-colored toga or nightgown, and it was clear see-through that showed a delicious body a super model would die for. Clark blushed a bit but remained unaffected for most of it. Goku didn't react by the fact she was plain naked in the daylight. Maybe because he was far more impressed by her amazing energy.
The blonde alieness looked around in confusion. And then in anger. And when a Kryptonian was angry then better move out-of-the-way. Her blue eyes turned into a shade of red and the fire blasted towards Clark. The Earth kryptonian didn't see it coming until he was sent backwards, his body plowing the ground with a trench. The attack stun Clark for a couple of minutes.
The blonde alien caught sight of Goku and accelerated towards him, punching him right in the face without mincing pulling her punch back. The Saiyan was sent flying away for miles end by the nuke-like blow that shook his skull. Clark rose up after the burning blow and attacked the intruder, jumping and folding his arm back with a charged fist. Yet she had already spun around, her eyes shinning red again. The twin heat beams hit Clark right in the chest, churning his clothes even more and sending him back to the ground with the concussive force of many tons of dynamite.
Goku returned to his feet, feeling his jawbone a bit loosen up from his head. That girl packed one of the best punches he had ever received. She was even stronger than Clark when he had stopped holding back on their fights a few days ago. If he had to put a good measurement into her powers, she would be equal to fifty Vegetas put together. And she was very much deadlier than the widow-peak haired Saiyan was.
But in turn, so was Goku. His powers since the fight on his Earth had been increasing exponentially thanks to training and the few Zenkais from battles. He was now at least ten times stronger than when he first fought Vegeta back on his own dimension.
The blonde woman left the scene, flying away through the air. Goku chased after her through the atmosphere but the blonde woman remained far ahead of his reach, flying beyond notch thirty. The Saiyan bursted his powers five times normal with the red energies of the Kaioken, his body barely straining by the effort. His flight increased enough to close some gap but yet not enough to finally catch up with her. The female kept flying and Goku suddenly fired a yellow ki blast to her back, getting her completely unbalanced on her way. The Saiyan warrior bursted his ki six times up and dashed forward, landing a bomb-like axe strike to the woman's back, sending her careening down to impact the forest soil.
Both fighters had been flying so fast that they were now on Africa, more specifically a forest in Kenya.
Goku floated down to the ground, still increased six times normal with his power boost technique, hoping the woman would stay down. But the female wasn't finished yet. Her almost light speed acceleration crashed against the alien from another universe, her tackle of might sprawling him backwards through forests and lakes for at least a hundred miles. Animals nearby ran away in fear by the unbridled clash.
Goku diverted to his side a deadly left fist, the sheer air force she created shattering rocks away into very tinny pebbles. The Saiyan counter attacked with a sharp upper cut that met its aim into her chin with strength to shatter mountains and atomize reinforced steel. Yet the woman did not even react to the rocket punch, her invulnerability making her immune to the weak attacks. Her fast reaction allowed her to strike faster and tougher than Goku, as she landed a bomb-like knee to the belly and a sharply aimed descendant axe strike that sent the Saiyan spiraling into a mountain, hardcore impact that leveled the ground around the epicenter for miles. The place looked like struck by a meteor.
Goku stood up out of the rubble, surprised by the female's power. And also thrilled by the challenge. His warrior blood boiled in anxiety. Maybe because she was also half-naked but who paid heed to those details?
An outburst of speed later and the alien from another Earth found himself tucked up from his clothes and no longer touching the ground. Her ironclad clutch was lifting him with unyielding firmness.
"Where's Kal-El?" She demanded, lifting the Saiyan from the neck of his clothes. Her eyes burned red with menace. He, however, closed his eyes surprising the alien woman. Was that some way of giving up?
"Solar Flare!" The Saiyan enchanted a bright bang of white light ache-fully blinding her eyes. Goku took the advantage by escaping her grip and appearing behind her, landing a mighty roundhouse to her head. Her senses rouged inside her brain while the palm-haired fighter landed blows all over her nubile body. Though he wasn't exactly damaging her, more accurate annoying her, her clothes were on the other hand getting ragged and cover in dirt. Her fast healing allowed her to recover her sight, unleashing a devastating heat blast into her opponent's solar plexus. The Saiyan yelled in pain, his clothes and skin burning and the concussive force obliging him to back-track through the air for meters long. By the time the heat stopped coming the blonde alien was already on top of his male enemy, her pinpoint-aimed hook hitting the Saiyan with meteor strength.
The fight dragged on for some time and over many miles over the country. Chunks of the area had disappeared by the super alien struggle.
The palm-haired warrior crashed like a runaway train into a tree, toppling it down like nothing. The Saiyan stood up again, however, his breath a bit labored and now clothe-less over his upper body. His enemy also was getting clothe-short, her white silk barely surviving another attack and revealing some tantalizing flesh. She looked more unexhausted thanks to her solar battery body.
Goku clutched his teeth and yelled in new-found strength. The ground caved slightly when he finally pushed his powers ten times the normal amount. His muscles were pumping dangerously with veins straining his skin, visible like cables running through him. The massive earthquake surprised the blonde fighter, never expecting such a weird transformation of a sort. Goku shot his hands forward into a deadly downpour of yellow orb blast barrage. Each sphere had the concentrated power of two or three nuclear bombs and all were hitting the blonde alien dead on. She could only cover herself with her forearms and hold her ground. The cloud of smoke kicked in and covered the entire place.
The Saiyan stopped his attack, finally depleted of energy. His breath was labored and his muscles ached all over. The red color was long gone.
But when the dust settled down, the new alieness on Earth was still standing proud. She had bleeding cuts but those were quickly healing by the never-ending sunlight.
"I will only repeat once, where's Kal-El?!" She yelled menacing her question. Now out of the fight and depleted of both power and options, the Saiyan could collect his thoughts. Kal-El. He thought he heard that name before. It was...
"If you wanted to see Kal-El, he was the guy you punched out" The male alien explained back to her. With a dash of speed the blonde Kryptonian squashed Goku's neck, applying deadly strength on the weaken fighter. He didn't even have ki for a solar flare. And he could tell she was for real.
"That's impossible! My cousin was only a toddler when we left Krypton" The blonde alien replied, knowing she couldn't be mistaken. The first man she had punched couldn't be Kal-El. The Earthlings could be experimenting on him for all she knew.
"Your cousin? Clark is your cousin?!" Goku asked in confusion. Now that she mentioned it, both had some facial similarities. The woman squeezed Goku's neck harder, forcing the alien to expel the air from his lungs. He grunted in exertion but his escape was futile.
"My cousin is Kal-El! Not Clark or whoever you are talking about" The also-Kryptonian woman yelled again. The Saiyan calmed himself and decided for another tactic.
"I know you want some explanations, but I don't think I can respond them if you keep squashing me" The Saiyan said, his face getting purple by the lack of oxygen. She growled through her teeth, reluctantly letting him go. The alien man catched his breath again, the woman only giving him a few minutes to recover before continuing her inquiry. And this time she would not skimp in the blows she fired, no matter how deadly they could be. For what she had seen, the earthling guy could take them just as fine. Which was weird because the tests she and her aunt Lara had run over the planet never showed someone capable of challenging a yellow-star-powered Kryptonian.
"Look, follow me and I will show you where Kal-El is" Goku offered her, which only caused her eyes to bright in menacing red light. Goku rose his arms to show his defenselessness "You can kill me later, but it's the truth. Call me many things, but not a liar" The apparent cousin to Clark set her glare into the half-naked man for a couple of minutes, gauging whether to accept his offer or not.
"By the way, do you have a name? I don't think calling you naked blonde puncher would suit you" The Saiyan asked trying to lighten the mood. The female looked a bit annoyed by his antics but decided to answer.
"Kara Zor-El. That's my name" The blonde alien introduced herself.
"Mine's Goku. Nice meeting you" The Saiyan waved his hand, smiling in full honesty like he normally did. Kara was a bit loose. No one acted so nice and friendly without an ulterior motive behind. Specially no one that fought so good. By the way, what kind of name was Goku? Was he an alien too? There were other species over the universe. Some that even Kryptonians may have never known.
The two landed again on the Kent farm, Goku panting even more. He was already exhausted and flying had not improved him, even with his accelerated healing.
"Is this some sort of trickery?" Kara asked nonchalantly towards Goku, who could only rose his hands trying to defuse her anger.
"Hey, you just have to hear and then you can make the conclusion" The another-dimension warrior said defensively. Kara took a deep breath and calmed herself. Killing everyone she came across might not help her in the long run.
"Hey guys" Goku walked into the kitchen followed by the half-dressed blonde Kryptonian. Clark was sitting on a chair with a bag on his forehead while Chloe bandaged his arm. Even after healing with the Sun, the aftershocks still remained.
But as soon as Clark caught sight of her he shot back into his feet ready for a fight. Kara did the exact same.
"Wait!" The Saiyan stood between the two parties. Goku looked at the farm alien "Clark, meet your cousin Kara Zor-El" He then looked at the blonde alien "Kara, meet your cousin Kal-El" The alien group looked one another for some sort of theory or explanation.
"You are lying!" Kara said out-loud, but now grabbing Clark by his clothes' neck "Kal-El is a baby" The farm alien opened his eyes in surprise. Not everybody knew his birth name. So she was Kryptonian no doubt.
"I was that baby, sent from Krypton, son of Jor-El and Lara" Clark replied. Now it was Kara's turn to open her eyes in shock. She let go of her apparent no-longer toddler relative. She backstepped in confusion.
"But how can it be possible? It was just yesterday that my ship was following yours to Earth" The blonde alien said not believing what she was hearing.
"Um, sorry for messing your family reunion" the blonde reporter said, interfering and hopefully dissuading the situation from an all-out Third World War "Chloe Sullivan, I'm dating your cousin" The reporter introduced herself but Kara only rose an eyebrow by the comment "What's the last thing you remember?" The new Kryptonian sighed gathering her thoughts. At least this female wasn't threatening her.
"The planet was going through a civil war lead by Major Zod" The Kryptonian female explained. That's when she remembered the fight. The fight for Kandor had happened many times before through history, always having to be rebuilt from scratch. So far there were only seven records. But maybe she could now help her mother Alura in stopping the civil revolt. She was brighter than the Council had given her credit for. Not that they gave credit a lot anyway. Her father...well Kara wasn't going to cry a river if he was suddenly disemboweled on the floor. The two were never that close to start with "I just hope I'm not too late to do something" The three people raised on Earth looked at each other. While Goku didn't know a lot about Kryptonians, the others did explained him what had transpired about the planet's last days.
"Kara... Krypton is gone" Clark explained sadly. The younger/older cousin widen her eyes. While her ship had been programmed with many simulations, never in the realm of infinite possibilities saw this scenario coming to be.
"It exploded just after I left the planet" The farm Kryptonian kept explaining the situation. But his cousin shook her head in denial.
"No, that's simply impossible. Planets don't explode without a reason Kal-El!" Kara bellowed, her temper flaring through her eyes red. Clark swallowed hard in his throat and almost backstepped in fear. He remembered his first heat bursts. Too long did it took him to calm his emotions. And looking at Chloë and Goku, both had the same fear.
"Kara, look we..." Clark wanted to say but his female cousin was not exactly eager to hear anything.
"No, just leave me alone!" The blonde alieness shot back in anger, leaving the house with a blurring motion. And the fact she wasn't controlling her strength left some foot indentations on the wooden floor. The Earth Kryptonian almost run after her but Chloe's hand on his shoulder stopped his track.
"Let her go, Clark" The blonde reporter sighed "It's not easy to cope with something like that when it comes completely out of the blue"
"I would know" Goku stated sitting in a chair with an ice bag on his forehead. Taking such news would not be easy to confront.
Lex Luthor typed on his laptop going over some normal old-fashioned work. Sometimes going back for the more mundane tasks helped clear the mind to the greater topics of the universe.
Extraterrestrial life forms, for example. The bald Luthor lifted the weird gadget.
The burned Kryptonian device was still both an unsolvable mystery and a well of untapped power that could turn men into living gods.
But how, was the real question.
Luthor decided to give it a rest and take a walk. He left the device right on the table. Not that someone could burst in and take what was rightfully his property. Whomsoever tried would be in for a hell of a situation.
Kara overlooked the bright yellow Sun from the Kent's barn's window hours after her outburst. She was now dressed in a more casual Earth attire. Just a dark blue jacket with a light blue top that only reached down her midriff. Her jean shorts only reached half of her thigh and she was completely bare foot. She preferred the more natural contact. One would say she was revealing a lot of flesh but as far as Kara was concerned they could all, as Earthling said, kiss her sweet ass.
"Hey, how are you doing?" Goku suddenly appeared and asked towards his puncher. He was back in a fresh orange Gi. Only dry blood in his lips was what remained from the fight just hours ago. He didn't react to the fact she was now more covered than a simple gown.
"I've been better" The Kryptonian girl answered, a bit downhearted by the new information she had. Kara then felt a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"Trust me, I know what it feels to lose your home and everything you holded dear" The palm-haired Saiyan stated towards the blonde female with a sympathetic gesture "I had a wife a son and friends. That's not something you forget about in a day" Kara sighed in understanding. It was obvious she wasn't alone in the grief period.
"Thanks Goku" The alien woman thanked with an understanding smile towards the male. She chuckled a bit then by a memory flashback "And sorry for, as Earthlings say, kicking your ass" Goku laughed innocently while rubbing his head.
"I should thank you" The Saiyan retorted ebullient to his new friend "Now that I'm healed I'm even stronger" The blonde beauty from another planet could only rose an eyebrow.
"How is that possible?" The Kryptonian asked, arms folded over her chest "I've never heard of an alien race with such a physiology over the twenty-eight known galaxies" The freak-haired man stretched his neck before answering.
"I hope you have no plans for today. Because it will be a very long story" Goku stated. And that's when he started explaining his life.
"Wow. Just...wow" Kara said a bit gobsmacked by the convoluted life of the alien male. It was already dark on the outside by the time passing wasn't something Kara was concerned with.
"And that's been Goku's life so far" The Saiyan finished the hour-lasting explanation of his existence.
"And how much do you think you'll live if you keep it up?" Kara asked a bit jokingly towards Goku. The Saiyan smiled and shrugged his shoulders.
The two aliens turned their heads when a noise walked up the stairs of the barn. But they already knew it was Clark, Goku thanks to his energy sensing and Kara thanks to her X-ray vision. While she had also run simulations on her ship about her possible powers under the yellow sun, she was still working the bugs out of many of them. And trying to not use X-rays on her friend Goku was the first one.
"Your ship is safe hidden under the house along with... what remains of mine" Clark said towards his cousin, who was still processing Goku' story.
"Thanks, Kal...Clark" Kara said but had to amend at the last time. She sighed "I will need time to get used to that. And sorry for trying to burn you into a toast"
"Not the first time that happens" The farm alien responded waving the problem off. Goku and Kara rose an eyebrow to themselves by the comment. And they were certain it was true. Clark was carrying a pack of papers on his hand "And Chloë found the satellite pictures from the Dark Thursday"
"More Zoners? Cool!" Goku replied anxiously. If any of the escapees were strong to challenge him then he would gladly fight.
"What's a Zoner?" Kara asked confused by the term. But the answer she got was not what she wanted to hear at all.
Beneath Lex's lab, a certain alien from another universe was smiling to himself but not showing it on the outside. Even with his eyes closed Vegeta could accurately say that there were fifteen doctors working around him. In such a short period of time he got the proper hang on energy sensing.
And it was all thanks to Kakarot and his friends. The prince would make sure to reward the low-class clown for his helpfulness.
With a proper blast into the afterlife.
Notes from Chapter 5:
When Goku said the Kryptonite bothered him wasn't because it affected him like a Kryptonian.
Remember that when Lex was rescued by Kara in the original episode, she was wearing a white outfit. So what I did is follow cannon.
Kara may have acted a bit bitchy, but when you watch Smallville she was taking children and knocking people whoever got close to her ship. So Goku was rather lucky to meet her.
A Kara and Goku couple is very unlikely to happen. But no one said they can't be friends who tease each other, right?
And so Kara shows up earlier and beats the shit out of our favorite alien. But that's actually a good thing so we must not worry. See you on the next chapter!
