Naruto X

AN: Big props to anyone who can guess where I'm going with a few things.

Hayate let out a cough as he made his way to the center of the arena. He let out a few coughs before beginning his announcement that the exams would be starting in ten minutes and that all participants needed to come down to the arena floor for sign in.

Team 7 along with Gaara, Shino, Shikamaru, Neji and Tenten made their way down to the center stage and surprised many when they noticed that Gaara was now sporting a new leaf headband, making Konoha shinobi the only participants in the exam, much to the confusion of many sand ninja that were among the audience.

The confusion spread when Temari and Kankuro appeared on the scene and were also wearing leaf headbands. Whispers began to circulate the crowd, most were Konoha shinobi disguised as civilians so they had heard every word such as "Did the children of the Kazekage defect?" "What about the plan?" "Konoha now has control of the one tail." "Should we call off the invasion?" "What about the Sound village?"

Word had quickly traveled back out and once it had reached the "Kazekage" his eyes widened in shock before they narrowed dangerously. "So they turned against me, and I'll have to assume they know the process of my plan at this point so it would be me walking into a trap." Orochimaru thought before he quickly turned and raised his hand.

"Our plans have fallen through, instead we'll attack from the outside and force our way in!" the "Kazekage" shouted and his shinobi gave a battle cry before charging into Konoha.

The stadium was suddenly filled with white feathers but to the surprise of many of the sand ninja inside, all of the civilians quickly made a hand sign to dispel genjutsu, pulled out a weapon and began to attack.

The sand forces in the stadium were heavily outnumbered and quickly killed or apprehended by the surprise attack. Meanwhile outside of the stadium, sound ninja began to try and scale the walls of Konoha only to be met with kunai, shuriken and surprisingly archery arrows.

The ninja that were already in the town were ready to engage when suddenly samurai began to flood the streets from the many shops and buildings. The shinobi stood no chance against the samurai and were quickly cut down without mercy.

There was a huge explosion and suddenly three giant snakes appeared by one of the walls. Shinobi and samurai alike were doing their best to take down the beasts, but at most they were only an annoyance.

That was when a large puff of smoke appeared in town and an enormous toad in armor wielding a sword had appeared and began to attack the snakes. With sound and sand forces trying to get inside the wall, the ninja that were already inside were either fighting for their lives against overwhelming forces or trying to run away.

Kabuto was one such person as he tried to creep through the hallways of the stadium when he suddenly heard the sound of a sword being drawn. "Going somewhere?" a voice asked him and he let out a chuckle before turning around.

"Sakura Haruno, while I can honestly say I'm surprised you of all people have found me, I can confidently say that you don't stand a chance against me." He said before his hands began to glow with a blue light and suddenly the chakra scalpels extended in size, which illuminated his face, showing that it was stitched together in various places.

Sakura let out a "Hm." as she got into a battle stance with her sword. It was time to test how much she had improved. Then they both charged each other.

Kabuto was on the defensive as he kept dodging her sword strikes, even if she couldn't hit him, it was still too dangerous for him to try and get within range of that sword since he had no reliable way to block it.

He finally charged in, ducked under her swipe and hit her on the right arm. She let out a scream as she backed away. Her grip felt weaker from that attack but there was no physical damage. At her confused look, Kabuto chuckled. "Chakra scalpels allow me to cut the muscles, nerves and arteries inside your body without causing any external damage. Against a wanna be samurai like you, cutting off the ability to properly hold your sword properly is the fastest way to defeating you." He said as he charged back in, putting Sakura on the defensive as he took false swings at her and when she would react to those, he would move in and attack her.

Soon she felt like her entire arms and legs were on fire and she could barely manage a grip and every time she tried to attack Kabuto, he would quickly dodge out of the way. He let out a laugh as he landed away from her and pushed up his glasses. "What did I say? You were the weakest of your team and always will be the weakest." He said in a condescending tone and her face scrunched up as her eyes suddenly flashed red for a moment.

With a feral growl, she quickly stood up and in one swift motion, had quickly discarded all of her weights. Kabuto raised his eyes at this but said nothing. In a flash she had vanished and reappeared behind Kabuto, his eyes widened in shock before his midsection separated the top and bottom halves of his body before a poof of smoke appeared and a sliced log took his place.

Kabuto frowned before reactivating his scalpels, it seems the girl decided to finally get serious.

-With Naruto-

Shot after shot, ninja after ninja fell as he fired at anything his scanner picked up as an enemy. One landed next to him and he held up his arm to block the kunai before he grabbed the guy by the arm, snapped it in half and his other hand turned into a buster and blasted the guy as his attention shifted to another ninja.

It was pure pandemonium from what he was used to dealing with, but ninja were far easier to fight than mavericks and none of them were actually doing any damage to him, but the sheer amount that were appearing was a cause of concern for the boy. He had never actually been stressed like this before and while he wasn't using any charge shots, he was worried someone might be fast enough to dodge and he'd shoot an ally.

He'd almost hit Sasuke once but it was the boys own fault. As soon as the attack began, he shed his weights and was speeding around the arena and was taking people out with a few rapid punches. Sasuke had actually wound back once and he thought he heard the man's neck snap when punch connected.

Gaara wasn't transforming, but any sound or sand ninja that dared to attack him was quickly squashed with some sand as Gaara simply stood in the center of the arena while his siblings stayed near him.

Shikamaru and Shino were surprisingly enough staying near Naruto and trying to assist the boy by pinning targets down for him to shoot. After the near accident with Sasuke, they decided that it was better to just let the blonde do the fighting and stay out of the way to avoid getting caught in any crossfire.

Shikamaru was using his shadow possession and Shino would have his bugs not just drain enemy chakra but also cause actual bites to irritate the enemy into losing focus of their surroundings. The blonde was thankful for the assistance.

Neji and Tenten had actually vanished after a bit and were making their way to the hospital where they were with a few other ninja forming a defensive line. Their teammate was in this hospital and they would be damned if they allowed the enemy to get inside and hurt him.

-Sarutobi-

The elder let out a sigh as he wanted the chaos happen. This was drastically different then he had originally planned, but things like this happened and the best you could do was cope with the situation.

His thoughts were interrupted however when his bodyguard was suddenly impaled by several kunai before the 'Kazekage' and his two body guards appeared in front of Sarutobi. "Thought you could plan a trap for me, did you, Sarutobi?" Orochimaru's voice said from the Kazekages robes before he threw off the disguise and stood before the Hokage as his two bodyguards suddenly split into four people who each went to a separate part of the roof and began to use a jutsu that created a giant purple barrier around them.

Sarutobi's bodyguard stood up and pulled off his ninja gear to reveal it was actually Zero. Orochimaru looked surprised as this new development but grinned nonetheless. "So I see you've got yourself some new security. It won't matter, I'll kill him and then I'll finish you off." The sennin said as he prepared to fight.

Sarutobi quickly pulled off his robes and was now in his combat armor as Zero pulled out his z-saber. Orochimaru looked surprised before he began to cough up his sword of Kusanagi.

The sound four watched in mild fascination, they had no idea who this newcomer was and even though they served Orochimaru, even they had their doubts about him being able to fight these two.

-Sakura-

The fight had evened out considerably with her not being weighed down. Sakura was finally managing to land some slashes on Kabuto but the annoying man was healing himself in the middle of combat while she was stuck with any injuries he inflicted on her.

She had very nearly taken off his leg and he just healed that. She sliced his neck open, he healed that. She lopped off two of his fingers, he reattached them all the while openly mocking her and retaliating by slicing more of her muscles.

He finally kicked her away and sent her rolling as he cracked his neck. "And here I thought you would actually be a challenge once the weights came off. I shouldn't be surprised honestly." He said as she clenched her teeth and looked up at him.

What happened next had honestly scared the man. The girls visible green eye flashed bright red and her hair had completely changed to white instead of the streaks they had from before and she stood up and let out the most chilling laugh he had ever heard.

"You talk too much. I'm gonna slice open your head and clean it out like a Halloween pumpkin!" she said in a very gruff sounding voice before she charged at Kabuto. The medic let out a gasp as he went to dodge her sword strike but suddenly, multiple other slashes appeared on his body just from the one sword strike.

He frowned as he hastily tried to heal himself, but was forced to constantly dodge all of her swings which were getting closer and closer, every swing was doing damage to him even though he was dodging and the girl just looked plain psychotic as if she were thirsting to cut him down.

He dodged a swing from her sword and suddenly a pillar slid apart in front of him, the two spots looked like they were sliced apart cleanly before he suddenly hefted the chunk up and threw it at the girl.

The block suddenly flew apart into miniature pieces and went around her. The only tell that she had sliced it was the blur motion of her hand. Now Kabuto was actually starting to get afraid of the girl and as he was about to turn and run, Sakura had vanished in a blur and reappeared in front of him with her sword in his stomach.

He let out a gurgle as blood gushed out of his mouth and he looked down in surprise at the sword sticking through him. He looked back up at the girl who had the most bone chilling grin on her face before she kicked him off of her sword into the wall and she flew into him and began to kick him repeatedly until he began to form a crater in the wall, then her visible eye flashed and she held her sword up.

All he saw were blurs of her arms moving around before she turned away and sheathed her sword and suddenly he let out a cry of pain before his entire body flew apart into pieces as blood showered the girls side. "Heal that you fu**er." She said, just as she finished saying that however, a group of sound ninja appeared in the hallway and froze at the sight of a bloody girl. She turned to look at them and then her grin widened again.

The only sounds coming from the tunnel were cries of fear and the sound of steel being drawn before it went quiet again.

-Naruto-

As the fighting was going on, the blonde stopped and pointed up at the Hokage booth where the giant barrier had appeared which caught Sasuke's attention. With a nod, they began to make their way up towards it with the other genin in tow.

Gaara gave a nod to his siblings and they followed after. Once they arrived at the barrier however, groups of ANBU were standing outside of it. "What's going on? Why aren't you in there helping?" Naruto asked, making the masked ninja turn towards him.

"We get incinerated if we touch the barrier. There's no way inside." He said, making the blonde roll his eyes before he fired at the roof below him and made a hole before he leapt down into it.

Suddenly a hole opened up inside of the barrier and once the blonde had appeared, made a shrugging motion. He was surprised however once the ninja holding the barrier began to alter the barrier to cover part of the floor and he began to charge his buster gun and his armor changed to green and white before he suddenly became transparent.

He walked through the barrier and punched the blue haired one which immediately took down the barrier and the others rushed inside. "I got this one." Naruto said. "Big ones mine." Sasuke said as he charged the giant of the sound four. "Leave the six armed one to me." Shino said and Shikamaru shook his head. "Stuck with another kunoichi, just my luck." He said.

Just as Gaara and his siblings appeared, another ninja had shown up and immediately two blades made of bone popped out of his arms and he took a defensive stance in front of them.

"I guess we got the leftovers." Kankuro joked, which made the ninja in front of him twitch his mouth in annoyance before he leapt in to attack them.

Naruto was surprised when the blue haired person in front of him suddenly split apart in separate directions and both of them punched him in the face. It hadn't hurt but it did catch him off guard and made him stumble back a couple steps.

The two began to attack with taijutsu in rapid succession but Naruto just stood there and let them attack him before he grabbed one by the throat and slammed him into the roof. The other kicked him in the back and he turned around and fired chameleon sting point black at the boy who was sent flying backwards with three huge burn marks on his body.

The other one had gotten up and grabbed onto Naruto's arm, the blonde looked at him with a raised eyebrow and the blue haired boys eyes widened in shock before Naruto shot him as well. His armor changed colors to a sky blue and silver while he grabbed both boys, put them in a pile and fired a blue drop of water that upon contact, trapped both of them in a giant block of ice.

Satisfied, Naruto turned around and charged in to help Sarutobi.

-Sasuke-

This was almost too easy. This giant of a man was slow moving and although Sasuke could see he was indeed powerful, he couldn't catch Sasuke, who moved in and pummeled him repeatedly before backing off.

It kept going on like this for some time until finally Sasuke came in under the boys punch and he pulled his arm back as far as he could and let the boy have the nastiest right hook Sasuke had ever unleashed.

The boy spun around in circles a few times before he fell onto his back and Sasuke was quick to jump on top of him and began to mercilessly punch him in the face repeatedly. On the final hit, Sasuke brought both of his hands up and smashed down, which forced both of them through the floor. Sasuke was still on him and punching him as they fell and when they finally collided with the ground, he was out like a light. Sasuke grunted, got off the guy and began to make his way back up top to the roof.

-Shino-

The six armed boy was trying to fight the trench coat wearing boy from a distance, but with no real place to hide, he couldn't do much more than attempt to keep their distance and attempt a pot shot, but as the fight went on, he started to feel weaker.

Soon enough the boy couldn't even maintain using his chakra web and it was only after he looked down at his hands that he finally noticed all of the bugs hanging on his body. He tried to shake them off which was his undoing as Shino closed in and began a merciless beat down.

He left a few bugs on the boy to take down more of his chakra as he turned around, pushed up his glasses and began to walk towards another fight.

-Shikamaru-

The boy let out a grunt as he was dodging attacks from the three giant monsters the girl had summoned. He tried to use his shadow possession right away, but she moved away from him and immediately pulled out the ogres.

He was jumping around and dodging attacks until finally one smashed the rooftop with its club and he stopped dodging and smirked. At her confusion he waved at her and suddenly the roof gave a groan and that was when she realized that he made her demons create a pitfall with her right in the center!

She let out a cry as her and the demons fell through the collapsed floor and because of her monsters weight, they continued to crash down which only made her fall farther. He stared down at the scene before shaking his head and moving on.

-Gaara-

This fight was interesting to say the least. Gaara couldn't just squash the boy because he used his bones to block the attack and he couldn't hold him for very long as he would slash apart the sand and break free.

Temari was thankfully doing damage to the boy by attacking him with wind jutsu but he was looking more annoyed than anything and Kankuro was keeping him from closing in by launching poisoned weaponry, which effectively forced them into a stalemate.

Finally the boy forced bones to appear all around him like a suit of armor before he began to charge in. Kankuro's weapons weren't working at this point so he tossed down a smoke bomb and they pulled away from that spot as the boy landed and began to slash wildly.

He felt something tug as his legs and that's when he saw sand travelling up his body and hardening as it did so. He struggled to get out but with the bone armor, he was weighted down more and his movements were slower. Just as he was starting to get the sand off of him, he was hit by some wind slashes that began to put gashes in his armor.

With a grunt, he forced the armor off of his body and was about to jump out of the sand when suddenly he was impaled by many blades from the backside. He turned to look and saw the puppet had disassembled and was pulled into him. With a groan, he fell to his knees before falling face down.

Gaara quickly encased him in sand and with a mutter of "Sand burial." had squashed the boy, though not a lot of blood flew out from the sand.

With that out of the way, they turned and began to walk towards the other fight going on.

-Sarutobi and Zero-

The sennin was way harder to fight than the hologram the two realized as they were forced to back up. Sarutobi hadn't taken any real damage except for the occasional jutsu, but he was starting to tire out, Zero had taken all of the damage so far, but none of it was bothering him which was starting to piss off Orochimaru.

Just as the snake charged in, he heard a humming noise and backed up as a charged shot flew past him, only for him to suddenly get sucker punched in the face and sent rolling back.

The sennin looked up in surprise, as did Zero and Sarutobi when Naruto walked up next to them, and then Sasuke stood next to the boy and cracked his knuckles. The old man was further amazed when Shikamaru, Shino, Gaara and his siblings and a squad of ANBU appeared on the scene, all looking ready to fight.

"Don't worry old man, we got your back!" Naruto said causing the professor to burst into laughter before he turned to Orochimaru. "The will of fire burns stronger than ever Orochimaru. You were a fool to attack Konoha and now I will make sure I take care of you like I should have years ago." He said as the sennin growled in annoyance.

He turned and was about to flee when a toad landed in front of him with Jiraiya riding on top of it. "Going somewhere?" he said. Orochimaru was going to turn another direction when a bloody girl with white hair and a sword landed in front of him and waved a finger back and forth. "Ah ah ah…" she said in a sing song tone.

He turned around again and was surprised when Kakashi and Gai appeared. "I hope there's room for two more at this party." Kakashi said as he uncovered his sharingan eye. "Plenty of room where this snake is concerned." Jiraiya answered.

"Sound five, to me!" Orochimaru called, but nothing happened. The man's eyes widened before he turned to look beyond the people around him. "Kabuto! Where are you?" he hollered which made the girl with white hair laugh. "Well he's partly here." She said as she held her bloody vest out a bit with her thumb, making the sennins eyes widen.

"So how are we doing this execution?" Jiraiya asked as he cracked his knuckles which began to make the snake sennin sweat. "I say we burn him." Shikamaru said. "No, melting him with acid would be more appropriate." Naruto said as his armor changed color.

"Electrocution wouldn't be a bad choice." Zero piped in. "I'm all for classic beheading." Sakura spoke up which made Shino nod. "Indeed, we could even claim a bounty for proof of his death that way." Everyone else nodded in agreement before they closed in on the sennin who was panicking.

Before he could get a single jutsu out, he noticed his body couldn't move and that's when he saw Shikamaru's shadow on his. Everyone ran forward and grabbed his arms, hoisted him up and grabbed his legs as well while Sakura cackled and grabbed onto the man's head.

"Alright, let him rip." Shikamaru said as he let his jutsu go and with a cry from Orochimaru, everyone began to mercilessly pull the man until his limbs tore off from their sockets and his head was ripped off of his torso which fell to the ground.

"Aww, did the poor little snake go SPLAT?" Sakura taunted as she caressed Orochimaru's panic frozen head while Naruto and Zero went about the process of incinerating the rest of the body.

-Fast forward two hours-

All the invading forces had been successfully routed with an amazingly low number of casualties for the leaf forces. Once the fighting was over, the hokage stood above the city with the crowd that had helped him and he raised the head of Orochimaru over him for all to see. "VICTORY!" the man shouted as a chorus of cheers erupted from the people down below.
