Olivia's POV.
When I opened my eyes, I weren't anywhere close to the people I just saved anymore. Somehow I'd ended up on the other side of the room. But the weird thing? I wasn't on the other side of the room, I could see myself running towards Josh and Juliet. I could see the ceiling falling down over me, but at the same time I was safe on the other side of the room.
I heard Juliet screaming, but this time, everything didn't go all dark after the scream.
Everyone ran to the collapsed ceiling, me included, Ian and Luke started trying to move parts of the ceiling, but it was to no use.
"You want help?" A tall man who had to be Zeke's father asked. Ian just nodded and everyone, except Nixie and Jamie since they were too young, started trying to dig me out.
I would have helped them, if it wasn't for the fact that I was busy trying to reassure myself that I was still alive.
"I'm right here!" I screamed, but nobody heard me.
I let out a small shriek when the ones digging in the collapsed ceiling came to something blue/purple with red bloodstains.
"Ollie." Luke gasped and I saw a tear making it's way down his face.
Ian dragged me out of the pile of ceiling and Amy started crying quietly when she saw me.
"We need to get out of here." Dan said as he walked up to Ian to help him carry me.
"We need to get her help." Amy cried silently.
"It's already too late." Luke whispered, crying harder than I'd ever seen him do before.
"No! I'm right here, Luke!" I could feel tears making their way down my face now too.
"Have hope, Luke. If she's anything like her parents she'll make it, she's not done here yet." Someone said.
I felt something buzz in my hand, once again someone had texted me.
As I opened up said phone there was 3 unread messages, all from the same person, IK.
Do you not care about the people I have here? - IK
Little Hope says Hi... - IK
I won't hesitate to kill her if you don't answer - IK.
Leave. Her. Alone!" I typed quickly and sent it to whoever texted me.
I also typed another text to another person, a person I actually knew.
01001001 00100111 01101101 00100000 01001110 01101111 01110100 00100000 01000100 01100101 01100001 01100100 - OcLaIhViIlAl.
I started running out to the people who'd just left with me, the me who was crushed.
As I was running, I could see the flashing lights of ambulances and police cars. The garden in front of the mansion was full of people I didn't know, and some people I did know. I ran towards my brother who was staring between my lifeless body which was now on a stretcher on its way to be carried into one of the ambulances, and his slim black phone.
"I have to get in there." Luke said suddenly.
"No!" Ian, Amy, Dan, Arthur, Josh, and I screamed at him at the same time, but of course he couldn't hear me, nobody could.
"I got a text from Ollie." I saw tears making their way down his face once again as he tried to get loose from the grip Ian and Josh had on him.
That was one of the few moments I wished I could just run up to Luke and comfort him, he rarely ever cried and I wanted to be there for him when he did. But the worst thing wasn't the fact that Luke was crying, it was why he was crying, because of me.
"He's telling the truth, there really is a text here clearly saying a lot of random numbers, from someone with a weird name." Dan said, I hadn't even noticed that he'd taken my brothers phone.
"It's not random numbers and it's not a weird name, it clearly says Olivia Cahill." I said at the same time as Luke. Scarry, you live with a guy all his life and suddenly you say stuff at the same time?
"It does?" Dan asked, looking confused.
"Uhm, yeah. The upper case letters spells Olivia and the lower ones spell Cahill. The numbers are binary for, not dead." Luke sighed and rolled his eyes, I smiled at that. It was when he said things like that that I wondered if he was really just 14.
"But that's impossible, she's not exactly capable of texting right now." Johnny said, he sounded confused, just like everyone was.
"I'm right here!" I screamed and cried even if I knew they couldn't hear me.
"You do know they can't hear you, right?" A voice said from behind me. Someone could hear me?
As I turned around I saw a young boy who looked to be around Hope's age, his golden brown hair was tousled on the top of his head and the t-shirt which he wore had a bloodstain in the chest.
"Who are you, and why can only you see me?" I asked him, he rolled his eyes. I hadn't noticed his eyes until that moment, they were about the same greenish blue colour as the lake near the now burned down mansion.
"You haven't figured it out yet have you? You're dead." He pronounced the last sentance extra clearly. That was when it all sunk in, they couldn't see or hear me because I wasn't alive anymore. I was dead...
Amanda's POV.
That girl, Sam, knew my dad? How could that even be possible? If anyone should know him it should be me right?
"Hey, Sam, that's your name right? How do you know my dad?" I asked her, everyone looked at me for some reason.
"He's my moms really distant cousin. I also know your mom for the same reason. And both of Hope's pare.." Sam was cut off by the man who drove the car, James? John? Jonathan? Oh, right, Jared.
"We're here. Now get out of the car, since I'm one of the people who can actually drive I'm supposed to pick up Tyra and Mae from the airport, about an hour ago."
We all got out of the car, when we were walking towards the house, which was like the size of the mall at home, I felt someone trying to get her hand into mine. Hope, when I looked down at her she looke so small in this big place. Like a satsuma or a clementine in a big bowl of oranges.
"Do you think Ollie, Luke, and the rest will find us here?" She asked me while looking at me. Her green eyes shimmered with worry that her siblings wouldn't be able to find her at this place.
"Of coarse they will, cookie. Do you want to call them once we get inside? Someone here's got to have a phone." I smiled at her and she nodded vigorously.
"Are you two coming or what?" Lilly asked, I looked at Hope and we both silently agreed to run past her and into the house.
The house was full of people and everyone except the ones I came with seemed to know exactly where to go and who to talk to, everyone seemed like if they knew everybody, it was like a really big family.
"This is place is so..." Elena started to say.
"Awesome! Do you see that candy machine?" Nick said instead of whatever Elena had wanted to say.
No, Nick, I did not see the 2 meter high candy machine...
"I was going to say big." Elena hit him softly on the arm, when she did that he fell to the ground holding his arm in an attempt to look hurt.
"That never works, Nick..." Adam sighed and offered Nick an arm to help him get up from the ground, but instead he was pulled down.
I deiced to walk up to Tessa since she seemed to have been here before and honestly, Zoe kinda scarred me for some reason.
"Uhm, hi, is there a phone in this place? Hope here wants to call her siblings." I smiled at her and she gave me a silvery phone from her pocket. Hope immediately took it from me, somehow managed to know the password and called Olivia's number in less than ten seconds. Pretty impressive for a ten year old...
"Hey, Ollie, it's Hope. Call me right after you hear this and yes, I will know if you don't do that." She said after about a minute of silence. She sighed and let the phone rest softly in her hand, so I took it from her to call her brother. He however picked up.
"Amanda?"
"Yeah, it's me."
"Is Hope with you?" I nodded, but then I realised that he couldn't see that, so I answered him using my voice instead since that apparently was more effective.
"Is that Amanda?" I herd Arths voice ask.
"Give me that phone!"
"Quiet, I'm trying to talk to her!" The two boys at the oher end of the phone started to fight about who were going to talk to me so I decided to sit down on a chair. This would probably take a while...
"Hello, is this Amanda Cob, uhm, Kabra?" A somehow fammiliar voice asked me after most probably stealing the phone from Luke while he was fighting with my brother.
"Yes, this is Amanda Kabra. And by the way, I know you were about to call me Cobra... Really funny. My best friend so doesn't do that all the time..." I said the last part while rolling my eyes, Olivia called me that about every day. When we were new at the school, she even told everyone that my last name really was Cobra. People didn't understand that it's Kabra until after two years...
"Sorry about that. But right now I really need to know where you are."
"Good question, random guy I've never met before. But my english teacher says that I'm not supposed to tell people I don't know where I am. You could be a crazy axe murderer for all I know." I knew most people said that their parents told them not to tell people where they were, but since I dont know mine Freekle did. He was the closest thing I had to a parent.
"I'm not a crazy axe murderer. I'm your father..." I gasped and he held his breath when he'd said that. After ten freakin' years my father suddenly decided to contact me? Using mine and my best friends little brothers? Why did he have my brothers?
"What's your name?" I whispered, I felt tears making their way down my face. Everyone in the room seemed to be looking at me now. What, isn't a girl allowed to cry when her long lost parent deicdes to finally contact her?
"Dan Cahill, please don't scream at me, your brother has already hit me once today. OW! Why'd you do that? Okay your aunt has now kicked me for being insensetive now too..." I smiled sligthly at that.
"Tessa, where am I?" I asked Tessa while holding my hand in front of the microphone of he phone.
"The Cahill Safety House." Zoe answered instead of her.
"I'm at The Cahill Safety House." I told the man who claimed to be my father.
"Okay, so the people I'm with wants to know if there's anybody else with you." He said with a calm voice.
"Yeah, there's my little friend Hope, there's that famous kid Lilly Wizard, some ordinary kids, Elena Matthews and Nick Holt. There's some girl, Sam Andersson. And there's Adam Amines-Cahill, I think that was all of us."
"Your siblings and parents are with me. We'll come to you as soon as possible." I could hear that he was relieved, but I knew there was something more he wanted to say so I didn't hang up.
"Oh, and maybe you should know this. I think Olivia is dead..." He whispered the last words and once he'd said those five words I dropped the phone. I fell down on the floor, it couldn't be true. It just couldn't!
"Amanda, are you okay?" I herd Adam ask me, I shook my head, because I wasn't okay. Olivia Cahill, who'd been there for me in the weirdest situations of my life was gone. Who was going to whisper things about every student walking into the classroom? Who were going to wake me up by playing songs she knew I hated? Who were going to be there when I needed someone to catch me? Who were going to be my best friend? The answer to all of those questions were simple, no one, because no one could ever replace Olivia in my hearth, in my life, in my everything.
*FLASHBACK*
(Age: 6. June 12th)
I woke up by the sound of the doorbell, since none of my brothers were going to wake up from that I slowly. crept my way to the door and opened it.
"Morning!" Ollie danced into my house with a weird little basket on her arm.
"What's that?" I asked her and pointed to the basket.
"Uhm, I found this on the doorstep of my house. It says her name is Hope." Ollie showed me a small baby in the basket.
"Olivia! Olivia, where are you?" A man shouted from the house next door.
"I'm at the Cobras, dad." Ollie shouted back at him. It was Ben Freekle who'd been shouting at her, he lived with her and her brother, but he also took care of me and my two brothers since none of us had any parents that we knew.
"Hey, Ben, can you get over here?" I yelled pat the man who was probably already on his way.
"I found a baby on the doorstep. We're keeping her."
From that day she loved that baby as her own sister, even if she didn't know if they really were sisters or not. Honestly, if the truth would have been that Hope and Ollie weren't releated they would still be sisters. In the same way as Ollie and I always will be.
*NEW FLASHBACK*
(Age:10. Winter.)
I threw the snowball I'm the air and bent down to make a new one. As I bent down Josh stood up and threw one of his snowballs. Arth used to be on our tem, but both he and Luke had been hit, so the only ones left was Josh and I on the Kabra team and Ollie and Hope on the Cahill team.
As I was forming the snowball in my glove covered hands, someone put a way to large amount of snow inside my jacket. When I turned around, I saw that blonde kid who lived in the house across the street at times. He seemed to be moving around but he had that house and usually celebrated Christmas there. He was laughing like a madman.
"Hey! You shouldn't have done that you know..." A girl with curly dark brown hair said calmly as she walked towards him with a huge snowball. Our siblings was walking behind her with mad faces and big snowballs.I
"Who are you?" The boy, I remembered his name was something on A. For some reason the name Addy came into my mind, I'd never herd that name before.
"We're her family." Ollie whispered as soon as she came close enough. Then they all threw the snowballs on the boy. I threw mine a little bit later, inside his shirt.
"Come on, I think Ben has gotten the fire set, time for marshmallows!" Hope squeled, we all (except the boy) ran home to eat. When we got there, a tall man was talking to Ben.
"Take care of them." Was all I could hear him say.
Why would he have to take care of us? He already does a great job with it? I remember thinking, but I never got the answer to that question. At least not for six years.
A new chapter? Yes, this is in fact a new chapter! I was supposed to upload it yesterday but I celebrated Christ,as so I was too busy being with my family.
I'm thinking about trying to start uploading chapters again. The next one will be posted at New Years.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter. :-)
