Disclaimer: Nada.
The next day was pretty much the same for Heather in this hell she was forced to deal with and stay in. On the outside she looked the same, the inside? That's where Heather felt different for the first time, she was actually happy that her Father was still coming for her. She kept quiet about what happened and decided not to tell Bridgette at this point. It was easy to keep it from her and that's the way Heather liked it. She didn't have to worry much because from what Bridgette told her, they were going to go to Gwen's house and from what she heard, Gwen was loaded.
"Are you two ready?" Gwen walked up to Bridgette and Heather while both girls were putting books in Heather's locker at the end of the day. "I can drive you."
"Yeah, we're ready." Heather agreed. "Bridgette, make sure you tell Geoff that we won't need a ride home."
"Shit!" Bridgette gasped. "I bet he's outside now. Maybe I should go with him?"
"No way." Heather shrugged. "Just tell him to meet you back at the house."
Ignoring Heather, Bridgette picked up her pace and made her way quickly out the doors of the school and into the parking lot with Heather and Gwen following her in toe. Heather sighed, she didn't really get why it was a big deal if they ditched Geoff, she and Alejandro used to do it all the time and now Alejandro was ditching her...
She could see Bridgette's point then. It wasn't right to just ditch Geoff.
When they got outside, Geoff was waiting there like he always did and she wasn't sure how Geoff was going to take this.
"Hey Geoff, I'm going to Gwen's house today and she's giving us a ride." Bridgette told him. "I wanted to bond with my Sister and I was thinking that maybe you could just meet me back at the house? Maybe hang out with Owen for awhile?"
"You mean at your house? Just your Mom and Dad?" Geoff questioned. "I don't know if I can do that. I'm pretty sure they don't like me that much."
"I'm Gwen." Gwen walked up to the window of his vehicle and stuck her head in the window. "We're all going to my house, if you want to come over and hang out with us then you're more than welcome."
"Bridgette, you should ride with Geoff and I'll just ride with Gwen." Heather smiled at her Sister. "You know the area better than Geoff and I do so I think it would make sense so he won't get lost."
"I agree." Bridgette blushed as the two girls got in the vehicles and Gwen lead everyone to her house.
When they got to Gwen's house Heather, Bridgette and Geoff were amazed and Gwen was obviously used to this lifestyle. Heather was more surprised that some freaky goth chick has this type of lifestyle, she never would have pegged Gwen for the rich type of girl if she wasn't witnessing it herself.
"You guys want anything to drink?" Gwen asked them as they walked into the kitchen of her large house. "I have wine if you guys want some."
"You're allowed to drink?" Bridgette asked. "Your parents don't care?"
"They're hardly home." Gwen shrugged. "You know what I'm talking about, Heather?"
"I've been down that road." Heather smirked. "I'd love some wine. I need a drink in the worst way."
"Geoff?" Gwen asked.
"Oh, no thanks." Geoff told Gwen. "I'm good."
"You guys ready to go to my house?" Gwen asked. "Well, technically it's my art room that my parents gave me but it has two bedrooms and a bathroom. I kinda just stay up there even when they're not home."
"Let's go." Heather agreed. She was excited to see Gwen's amazing 'room'
It was almost as amazing as Heather thought it would be. Gwen's room was down a walkway from the main house and it looked like it was a converted Greenhouse with at least two walls being made out of glass and it was amazing! It had a mini fridge and an amazing bathroom, it looked like she had her own house to herself and Heather fell in love with it! This was where she should be leaving and she was sure that her Father would agree when they were reunited. While Heather was taking all of this in, Gwen told them that they can sit around on the couch and her beanbag chairs around her 'living room' area in the middle of the floor.
"This is all really...great?" Heather smiled at Gwen. "I could get used to this all over again."
"So, what was it like?" Gwen asked her. "I mean, if you don't want to talk about it then you don't have to do it."
"I don't really mind talking about it." Heather shrugged. "He raised me, if you're talking about Chris. I mean, he gave me everything I wanted my whole life and I knew the Chris that the rest of the world never saw."
"Did Chef ever live with you?" Gwen asked. "I mean, they always seemed to be close."
"Chef raised me with Chris." Heather smirked. "I remember being in diapers and growing up with Chef helping my Dad with teaching me how to walk. Chef has always been part of my life and I remember this one time when I got pushed by some kid in Kindergarten and Chef screamed at him and shoved him down! I mean, he shoved a five year old kid! It was hilarious."
"Sounds amazing." Gwen told her. "I auditioned to be on the show at least four times and I've never been picked to be on the show."
"I don't think you'll have to worry about that anymore." Bridgette muttered and Geoff glared at her. "What?"
"That's harsh." Geoff muttered. "Gwen, you have a gnarly looking place! Thanks for inviting us to hang out at your place."
Everyone sat down and Gwen went and got magazines and tossed them on the table in front of everyone so that they would have plenty to read if they somehow got bored with talking to each other. While everyone getting situated the sliding glass door opened and everyone looked to see a guy with a green mohawk walk in and pull out a joint.
"Hey Gwen, how's it going?" Duncan sat down and pulled out a few small joints from his pocket. "You guys want any?"
"I'll take one..." Heather reached over and grabbed one from Duncan's hand. "I'm Heather."
"Oh, cool!" Duncan seemed excited. "I've been hearing about you. I'm Duncan."
"Duncan, this is Geoff and Heather." Gwen took a joint from Duncan. "You already know Trent and Bridgette, I assume?"
"I didn't know Trent was going to be here." Duncan smiled. "What's up?"
"Not much." Geoff lit up his joint. "Bridgette, have you ever smoked before?"
"No." Bridgette admitted. "I feel so weird being around everyone smoking."
"Don't feel weird, try it." Heather walked over to Bridgette and sat down in between her and Geoff. "Look, I'll show you how."
Heather sat down and handed Bridgette a joint and a lighter while she took her own and put it to her lips and lit it, held in the smoke and then released a smoke cloud into the air. Bridgette looked at Heather and placed her own to her lips, lit the lighter slowly and inhaled before coughing out a large cloud of smoke that tasted horrible. The sight of Bridgette's first hit made Heather laugh before pulling Bridgette in for a hug.
"That wasn't horrible for your first time." Heather lit her own again to show her Sister "Like this."
"I'm done with that." Bridgette handed hers back to Duncan. "I'm going to go home and start on my homework. Geoff, do you think you could take me home?"
"Sure Bridgette." Geoff smiled. "Is it cool with everyone if we bail?"
"No problem." Gwen smiled. "You two can stop by anytime you want. I'm always here..."
The second Bridgette and Geoff were out the door Heather looked at Trent, Gwen and Duncan before taking a deep breath, putting her joint down and looking at the three of them.
"I'm glad they finally left, I was hoping to talk to Trent about something." Heather looked at him. "You owe me big time for betting on my Dad's capture so I want you actually help me find him."
"I can get you a burner phone." Duncan spoke up. "You can talk to him on that if you want? It'll be good for more then one call."
"That could be helpful..." Heather thought for a minute. "I was hoping that maybe you could somehow find aliases that he was going by? I'd do it myself but I can't get a minute alone in that damn house."
"You hate it that much?" Gwen sighed. "Poor Heather. I don't know why the hell the police would take you away from the life you lived. I don't agree with it at all and I think they shouldn't even be trying to arrest Chris, I mean it should be your choice who you want to stay with."
"I'll look into it and see what I can find." Trent assured Heather before looking at Gwen and smiling. "Oh, Gwen can I borrow some money from the bank?"
"I'm his bank." Gwen laughed. "How much?"
"Just $1,000." Trent reached over to the coffee table and took the rest of Bridgette's joint that she put down before she left and lit it up. "You're the best."
"Hey, I'm going to go head home and work on finding out those aliases for Mclean." Duncan smiled at Heather. "How's about I go and give you a ride home?"
"I think we can do that." Heather smiled. "Gwen, you okay with me stealing Duncan away for the night?"
"Of course she is." Duncan promised Heather. "She'll be here with Trent looking up names most of the night anyway, let's go have us some fun."
Duncan grabbed Heather's hand and rushed out with her before Gwen could respond. The truth was that Gwen would have preferred to have Duncan stay with her at her house but she couldn't just blurt something out like that, it's not like they were together. That meant that she got to spend her evening with Trent looking online.
"And they're gone..." Gwen shook her head. "How are we going to find info on Chris?"
"I could do it myself but I don't want to risk jail time for hacking a computer." Trent sighed. "I guess I'm going to have to call in that favor from Harold."
"Let's go..." Gwen sighed. She wondered how she managed to always get into these situations.
The ride home was fun. Duncan had the same taste in music that Heather did so they were easily able to hold a conversation the whole way to Heather's house, while Heather was playing around with the radio and finding a station, Duncan pulled over to the side of the road and put his feet up on the dashboard.
"I take it you had no intention of taking me home?" Heather smirked.
"I just wanted to get to know you better." Duncan asked. "What was life like for you? I bet you miss the old life you had, I wish I had that kinda life."
"We can't all be that lucky." Heather laughed. "Look where I am now, guess I'm not that lucky!"
"I'm pretty damn lucky." Duncan pulled out a cigarette. "I'm sitting here with one of the hottest girls I've ever laid my eyes on."
"What about Gwen?" Heather sighed. "I saw the way she looked at you."
"Gwen?" Duncan laughed. "I made out with her a few times at some parties, we're just friends and I'm sure she's fine with whatever you and I do."
"Maybe you should just take me home?" Heather suggested. "I know where you're going with this. Chris Mclean didn't raise a stupid girl."
"Okay, I guess I'll take the princess of reality TV home." Duncan laughed and took a drag of his cigarette. "Just for the record, we totally could have had sex right here."
"I know." Heather told him. "Just for the record, I don't have sex with guys I just met in trucks on the side of the road."
The ride home between Duncan and Heather was awkward, though Heather had to admit that Duncan's flirting was pretty blunt and she liked it but she wasn't about to just let him do what he wanted with her and then toss her to the side.
When Heather got home Duncan insisted on coming in the door with her and seeing her new place and after arguing with her for over 10 minutes she finally agreed to let him come in. Within minutes of walking in the door, Heather regretted it.
"I'm home." Heather shut the front door and took Duncan's jacket and hung it up before the two of them were going to make their way upstairs to Heather's room.
"In here!" Josh yelled and Heather sighed while Duncan smirked. The two made their way into the living room to see that Owen was there with Josh and Blaineley and they seemed even more annoying then usual.
"Uh...Yeah?" Heather walked in the room with Duncan, who stayed in the doorway. "Did you guys need something? I'm going to take Duncan and go to my room to listen to music or something..."
"Who is Duncan?" Blaineley stood up and walked over to the doorway and stood next to Duncan. "This is Duncan? Is this the guy you were trying to take to your room? He looks like a criminal and you want to sleep with this guy?"
"Didn't sleep with her." Duncan smirked. "She shot me down."
"I did shoot him down for now." Heather crossed her arms. "I don't even know him like that! Give me some credit, I would obviously get to know a guy before I jumped into bed with him."
"Are you saying you would jump into bed with him if you knew him better?!" Blaineley yelled. "Josh, did you hear what she just said?"
"I think I'd like to hang out with Duncan too!" Owen chimed in. "Can I hang out with you guys?"
"Nobody is hanging out with Duncan." Blaineley crossed her arms. "Duncan needs to leave."
"I'll walk you out." Josh stood up and walked with Duncan over to the front door. Heather quickly followed them while Blaineley instructed Owen to go upstairs. When they got to the front door Josh saw Duncan's jacket hanging up and he handed it to Duncan.
"Can I at least say goodbye?" Heather asked josh, rolling her eyes.
"Sure." Josh told her, still standing where he was.
"Alone?" Heather raised her brow.
"Not happening." Josh told her.
"Alright then." Heather smirked and walked up to Duncan and wrapped her arms around Duncan's neck. "I guess you'll have to see this then?"
Heather did this just to piss Blaineley and Josh off at this point but she found herself pressing her lips against Duncan's and roughly sliding her tongue in his mouth, which he didn't seemed phased by any of this, not even the part where Blaineley walked in and started yelling or when Josh started to threaten him. The kiss didn't last that long but Heather was sure that everyone in the room would remember this for awhile.
While Heather was kissing Duncan and having Blaineley yell at her in the background, there was a knock at the door and Josh decided he would be the one to answer the door since his wife was busy yelling at his daughter who was making out with a guy who they were pretty sure was a criminal. When Josh opened the door he was greeted by Alejandro who heard Blaineley yelling and saw behind Josh that Heather was making out with Duncan.
"Heather?" Alejandro looked shocked that he was even seeing this.
"Alejandro?" Heather pulled herself away from Duncan the minute she saw Alejandro at her front door. "What the hell are you doing back here? I thought you left."
Okay, so this is the latest chapter! Duncan made a move on Heather and it looks like Gwen and Alejandro aren't happy about this, we all know Blaineley isn't and Josh is just like 'Hahaha! I'm just here!' and I decided that we would throw Harold into this story, do you think he'll be able to help Trent and Gwen find Chris for Heather? Oh, Bridgette and Geoff...What do you think is going to happen with those two? See you guys next chapter!
