Chapter 18

Hey guys, I'm really sorry for not updating for two weeks! I, being the idiot I am, forgot the password to my account so although I have a couple of chapters written I couldn't post any until now, because I just remembered my password, yay!

Thalia POV:

The others left the room and I looked at Percy,

"Who?" I asked "Me or You?"

"Both," he replied. "We can't decide so we both enter, it's simple."

Percy got riptide out from his pocket uncapped it and pressed the lid to the opposite end. The pen shrunk back to pen form and Percy got some parchment from the stack by the side. On one piece he wrote; Perseus Jackson Hogwarts, and on the other; Thalia Grace Hogwarts.

We headed down stairs to the common room and with the others we went down to the entrance hall. In the middle was the goblet and a white line surrounded it. As we were watching a tall Hufflepuff guy strode into the ring.

"Justin. Justin. Justin!" His friends chanted. He took a bit of parchment and tossed it into the flames. The fire turned blue, swallowed the parchment and returned to normal.

As he came out he noticed Harry and us.

"Hey Harry, how are you?"

"Justin, you stayed another year! I didn't know that." Harry replied.

"Yeah, well last year was a bit- well it was in Voldermort's control, so we didn't learn normal stuff."

"Oh, guys this is Justin Finch-Fletchley. Justin, this is Percy, Annabeth, Thalia, Frank and Hazel."

There was a chorus of "hey" from us and Justin.

"So you're entering? You're just going to have to hope you don't get scared by someone saving you in parseltongue this year." Harry smirked.

"Sorry, but everyone thought you were the heir of Slytherin and then you talked to a snake in front of me in parseltongue, that would creep anyone out!"

"You'll also have to hope there's no basilisk, to petrify you." He joked.

"I don't like basilisks." Ginny was shivering from the memory of something. Harry winced and apologised, he put his arm around Ginny to comfort her.

"Care to explain what that was about?" I asked after Justin went back to his friends.

"In my second year. A sixteen year old version of Voldermort preserved himself in a diary. The diary then possessed Ginny and made her open the chamber of secrets, a place made by Slytherin which contained a basilisk. Voldermort left the instructions so that the heir of Slytherin could cleanse the muggleborns out of the school. The basilisk petrified about 10 people, including Hermione, and had taken Ginny down to kill her. Ron and I went down and eventually I killed the basilisk, and nearly died, we destroyed the diary and saved Ginny." Harry said.

"Why did people think you were the heir of Slytherin?"

"He can speak parseltongue - snake language - which is a Slytherin thing. He was also found near by to quite a few victims and the message on the wall." Ron said.

"What did the messages say?"

"The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. Enemies of the Heir beware! And Her skeleton will lie in the chamber forever. I wrote them both, while I was possessed." Ginny said.

As we talked another few people put their names into the goblet amongst the cheers of there friends. We had been watching for about an hour when all the Durmstrang students all came inside. There were about 50 boys but some were clearly only here for support as they were very young. One by one all the older boys came up and threw their names into the goblet. They left to return to their ship. Half an hour later one of the smaller boys returned. He looked around and quickly placed his name in the goblet before quickly retreating outside.

Percy POV:

Annabeth and I decided to take a walk around the grounds, we weren't talking but we were still there for each other. Since Tartarus our dreams had been worse so we needed each other's support. No one except Nico would ever understand what we'd been through, so it was nice just to walk next to each other and to be able to support each other with out having to actually talk. I was about to say that we needed to go back to the castle when one of the pegasi galloped over.

Hey Boss!

Guido! What are you doing here?

The mean French ladies needed a new pegasus because one of theirs died. Got any donuts boss?

Sorry, Guido. Why did you offer to be a chariot pegasus for some french ladies? I thought you like being free.

Yep, I sure do boss, trust mebi wouldn't do this voluntarily! One of the others made me do it.

Well it's nice seeing you Guido, but...

Oops sorry boss, I interrupted your walk with the missus.

He galloped off.

"Well that was odd!" I said.
