"The Gotham city mental institution had a patient go missing a hour ago, your job is to find the patient and bring them back safely". The team nodded, but no one noticed Artemis's sad looked that disappeared in a second.
"Thank you for coming, we were in such distress when we found out our patient disappeared" Doctor Manswell said, "Could you show us their room?" asked Aqualad, "yes, yes of course this way please" the doctor motioned for the team to follow. Artemis gave a gloomy sigh, "You Okay?" Wally asked; "Just fine" she lied.
The room was completely white, curtains fluttered by an open window. "The patients name is May Nightshade" Artemis stifled a gasp she knew the name and she knew the room "What's with this stuff?" Wally pointed towards a shelf. "Oh May likes animals so we gave her some stuffed animals, she also likes Alice in wonderland and the god Artemis, may also seems to like sports so we gave her a hockey puck she doesn't do much with these things but she seems calmed by them," "Thank you doctor well do all we can to get her back" promised Miss M.
'Free I'm finally free! I'm never going back there again!' she twirled and giggled. She didn't go far she didn't know what to do yet. She made it to a building a couple of blocks away from the institution. May spun around just as some blades stuck into the ground she jumped away just as they exploded. May quickly grabbed a sharp piece of broken glass and got ready to fight.
It was Super boy who came at her first, May jumped up wards and flipped over him. Next Kid flash ran at her May watched, calculated and then struck, May's fist pounded into Kid Flash who landed hard on the ground moaning in pain. May was now enraged; she wasn't going to let them take her back not after what that rotten doctor did to her, Miss M through some crates at her but she dogged and knocked her backwards into a wall. May attacked Robin slashing at him with glass he blocked each attacked and tried to counter "Stop we can't hurt her!" Artemis yelled, "Tell her that!" Robin yelled back, but he had been distracted and May sent him to the ground knocking him out in the process. Aqualad and Artemis where the only ones left, Aqualad pulled out his "swords" and attacked her but she dogged every move, jumped in the air and landed on him they crashed to the ground May kneeled on his arms, making sure he couldn't move them, and held the piece of glass above his neck she drove down.
"Stop!" Artemis screamed, and May stopped just mere inches away from Aqualad's neck. She stood up and ran at Artemis who just held her ground; May grabbed a tracker from Artemis, and whispered, "I'll see you again". Artemis just watched as May ran off. Her team groaned, "Are you alright?" "Where did she Go?" ask kid Flash "She… she got away" Artemis avoided her teams gaze. What was she going to do?
