I made this chapter longer to make it up to you all… anyway no quote for this chapter because if people imitated what's said in that quote… we'd have a couple of missing people now. (P.S. I did it and it seriously made others worried for my mental health… it involves cornflakes and getting lost)

Zazie's POV

It's already been 40 days since she got injured and it seems that she is back to her old self, her old, annoying and irritating self. I don't even know why I'm doing this. Why am I walking her to the hive? I mean seriously, Maximus, Mildred or Jonathan can accompany her. This is just plain b^11$h!t. Why did I ever agree to this?

I stole a glance at the girl happily skipping beside me. She was balancing herself on a ledge and honestly, she looks like a spoiled 5 year old with her black, white and blue gothic Lolita dress, a blue ribbon on her hair and lollipop on her hand. The only thing that doesn't make her look childish is the sword she keeps by her side. She bought it a few days ago. Its handle is made of polished wood and gold while the blade is made of Gaichuu shell. She continued skipping across town center and it's an understatement to say she grabbed some attention. I sighed and grabbed her by the collar and dragged into the Hive just so people could stop staring at her.

"Ow! Hey!" She yelled as I continued dragging her to the med bay. I tossed her to a chair and gave her a stern look.

"Stay!" I said as I started to leave. I honestly don't know why she is a Gaichuu Hunter when I could be a thousand times better than her.

Just as I was about to leave Dr. Thunderland suddenly went in and the door hit my face, in the distance I can hear fits of giggling from Nathalia.

"Verdencia, the Director would like a full report on your latest mission. It seems that your condition upon your return caused rumors to circulate and the Director himself would like to know what really happened." He said calmly while checking her pulse and such.

"Oh … and the Director also said that you should bring Zazie along." There was a moment of silence and then followed by a deep sigh. My heart skipped a beat… was he going to fire her? Was I going to be the replacement? Did my hard work finally pay off? I could already taste victory.

After the examination both of us headed straight to the Director's office. Before Nathalia opened the door, I took a few deep breaths just to relax my wildly beating heart.

"uhm … what are you doing? You look like you're preparing to get beaten up by Hunt or something…" She whispered as we both got ushered in by Aria. Both of us walked quickly and sat down at the chairs in front of his desk.

I shifted uncomfortably in my sit while Nathalia was as still as a statue. She didn't seem to mind the intense gaze coming from the Director.

"Okay let's begin. I called you here today to ask for your full report on your latest delivery also because I want to give a few minor revisions to your job."

Nathalia gave a questioning look but gave a small nod.

"Let's begin then. Let's start with the basic, where I was headed, how and when. It took place nearly 40 days before when I was about to go to a known Gaichuu territory in the far north. After walking and hunting Gaichuus for a day I decided to pass by a village not far from here before heading north in order to get supplies. The village is called La Casa Campana…" I knew that town. It is beautiful with very nice people and amazing buildings. The last time I was there I was delivering a letter with Lag and Connor. I really don't get where this is going, I mean that town is Gaichuu free so there is really no reason why I would want to listen to this. It's probably just about her going there to stay for the night or something.

"Apparently the town was not there…"

I and the director stared at her intently. The town wasn't there? Is she drunk or something?

"And I know what you're thinking. No, I wasn't drunk and I wasn't lost either. The map is either wrong or La Casa Campana is already destroyed. I followed the map yet it led me to a place of ruins, nothing but rubble of what looks like a town that was once prosperous. There was nothing but destroyed buildings, bridges and not even the cobblestone road was spared. Anyway, I knew that the town was supposed to be there and also that there were no ruins that great that weren't on the map. I decided to investigate since protecting towns also means safe destinations for the Bees. What I found there was quite… unusual. "

Nathalia took out a cookie from her bag and started to nibble on it while there was a distant look in her eyes as if she was in a different place entirely. She quickly finished it while the Director took some tea from a small table in the corner of his office. It seems to me that they need to do this in order to calm their nerves.

"So anyway, as I was saying, the town is incredibly unusual. It wasn't just a ghost town it was also a Gaichuu hot spot, no, it's a Gaichuu nest. It might sound weird but it's true, tons and tons of Gaichuu all hidden there, in that small town. Gaichuus can't reproduce naturally so I really can't explain in detail all that I saw. What I know is that there were Large Gaichuus of various kinds along with what looks like miniature metal insects that were in the process of becoming a real Gaichuu. That was all the information I could gather before a couple of Buckers and a swarm of Lao laos attacked me. It was strange though… they all moved as if they actually planned it. It was as if they were becoming smart creatures."

The Director coughed and I slumped back into my chair. It's bad enough that there are a lot of those monsters out there but now they're increasing in numbers?! Well f*ck this $h!t. I'm done with waiting. I'm going out there and rip them from limb to limb. The air around us suddenly felt tense and I stood up and was about to walk out the door when I felt a hand on my shoulder. Nathalia didn't look me in the eye, in fact she didn't say anything, her gesture made me stay for reasons I don't know. Somehow she actually manages to make me do things I don't want or always do. I sighed and sat back down while the Director was lost in thought. It was only after a couple of minutes that he finally spoke.

"Alright… I have decided that it might be too dangerous for you to have only regular animals as dingoes. From now on I would like you to have a human dingo. You might think that an animal would be better but I think a human dingo will be an advantage for you. Other than a human strong enough to help you a person can also help with wounds that you have sustained from battles or so also they will be good messengers in case you're in trouble. Furthermore it would most likely be a benefit if someone could be your apprentice…. So Zazie how about it? Want to be her apprentice and dingo?"

….What now?...

I have no idea how long this story will be but meh… bye *emotionless chibi wave*
