Chapter 38
"Really?" Ward confirms. "You're exe boyfriend?"
"I trust Hunter." Bobbi says. "And since he's the last addition it means we have our team assembled."
Ward looks up and down the list. "You weren't really friends with these guys for that long." Bobbi says casually.
"There more Skye's friends than mine." Ward says. "Which is why they'll help her."
" 'Triplett, Fitz, Mack and Hunter.' Seems like a good team." Bobbi agrees. "I trust all of them, and as Skye's friend they'll be willing to rescue her." Bobbi adds. "Not to mention all of them were on the ski trip." Ward didn't know if Bobbi meant that as a good or bad thing.
"Has Coulson said what he's going to do with Roy?" Ward asks, really wanting to go and punch him a 1000 times over in the face. He needed for him to pay for what he set up. It was his fault in the first place Skye had been taken.
Bobbi tilts her head back, her blonde hair shinning in the light. "It's best to leave him, as soon as we take him in, whoever he might be in contact with might get suspicious if he suddenly stops. Not to mention, he might have accomplices among the staff." Ward frowns. "Don't worry you'll get to punch him later." Bobbi smiles, as if reading his mind.
"May has the list?" Ward asks.
"She interrogating them now, to make sure we can trust them. Apparently our trust isn't enough." Bobbi explains. "But better to be sure than sorry."
Ward leans back, Skye in his mind. He didn't want to just stay here and do nothing, let her suffer. They had to move fast, before something bad would happen.

Simmons watches from the mirror. A doctor was already in the room working on Skye.
Skye was sitting on a table wearing nothing but a blue hospital gown. If it weren't for the large white room and lack of magazines and pictures, you could almost say that it looked like Skye was getting ready for a check-up. But really that's what Simmons was saying to herself in order to not make herself choke. "She's not your friend." Simmons says out loud.
Was she acting, or was she repeating the truth?
Skye's eyes look almost dead, as she stares at the floor. Simmons wants to press her hand against the glass and try to reach out to her. Soon Simmons would be forced to go in there, she'd be forced to face Skye and break her heart like they'd never met. Maybe this would have been easier if they'd never met.
"You ready Simmons?" Raina says coming up beside her. Simmons nods, even though it was a straight up lie. Simmons would never be ready for something like this. "Alright than, I'll go in first and tell Skye about her surprise."
Raina walks into the room, and Skye looks up. The doctor has fully prepared the IV bags, one for taking blood, the other for transferring some into Skye's blood stream so she doesn't die from blood loss. "Afternoon Skye, I hope you're adjusting well, you're concussion has healed nicely."
Skye just glares at Raina, a bit of fight left in her. "Yeah well I'm sure you guys don't want to risk anything before you've discovered my secret." Skye mumbles irritated in a sarcastic voice. Simmons can hear just from her speech that she's exhausted and drowsy.
"Yes well don't worry I'm sure it won't take as long as last time. We expect to have our tests on you show results in the next month or two." Raina confirms.
"Perfect" Skye mumbles, her eyes blinking fast, her body trying to fight the sedation in her system.
"Why am I even awake? You're not doing a test that requires my awareness, you're just taking blood." Skye yawns, her leg desperately trying to move off the table. Simmons could tell she had been sedated in the last eight hours, but the effects we're slightly wearing off.
"Well Skye I have a guest who will be helping me today." Raina smiles. "You can come in now." Raina calls to the door.
Simmons stands there, her hand moving without her brains permission. She rolls the door handle as she enters the room. Her face was stern with a straight expression. She would not give in; she needed to be harsh and cold, for Skye.
Skye sat there unsure if the drugs they'd had given her were causing illusions. Because even though she was wearing a lab coat and reeked of that evil scientist air, Skye didn't believe that Simmons was really standing there.
"Jemma." Skye mumbles using her first name.
Was it true?
"You may begin Simmons, Agatha will be in the room to assist you, now excuse me I have some work to be doing." Assist, more like watch. Simmons knew what Raina was doing, but she had to be strong.
Raina leaves the room, but Skye was still trying to process what was happening. Simmons had gone off with Raina, she had left with her for an internship, and was going to be studying something she was interested in… She had been interested in this? In her? No she'd been interested in her secret. What Quinn had told her, that they were looking for, her secret.
Just what was it though?
Simmons walks over to Skye and hooks up the IV into her arm. Skye was so used to it now she didn't even flinch. "Are you still my friend." Skye asks plain and simply. There wasn't even hope in her voice as she said it. It wasn't even phrased as a question.
Simmons watches the blood begin pooling through a tube and into the bag. Her face was monotone in order to keep her composure. The doctor was watching her, and maybe even Raina from the one sided window that fooled you as a mirror.
"By not answering I'll assume you haven't decided." Skye says, she tries to move her body back, but even that was a challenge under the sedation. "Heck you may have just found out." Skye licks her lips.
At first Simmons thought Skye was trying to act cool, and Simmons wished she had some sort of signal that would tell Skye she wasn't here because she wanted to hurt her.
As Simmons steps back to watch the blood drain, she goes over to the table with medical instruments to get the needle ready for the blood transfusion so Skye wouldn't go into to shock. Agatha the babysitter helps Simmons out, fitting the blood bag. While Agatha was still preparing it, Simmons turns to look at Skye.
She looks at Skye's face.
She was crying. There were tears coming from her eyes. She's trying to move her arm to wipe them, but even lifting her arms is almost too much strength for her.
Simmons drops the needle she was carrying, the doctor Agatha picking it up. "There a problem?" She asks Simmons.
Simmons grabs another needle to hook up to the blood transfusion bag. "No, there isn't." She says cold heartedly. But Simmons turns to the wall, hiding the one tear that had escaped her eye.
So Skye believes Simmons is the enemy, and Simmons is trying her best to pretend to be the evil scientist so help can come for Skye. Next update not for a while guys, exams next week so lots of studying happening, and inspiration is evaporating. But oh well. But did get the Shield comic, so exited to read it! Since it's my first comic book, so hoping it'll get me into buying comics and reading them and stuff :D
