Woohoo! I'm out of my slump! Is that a word? Eh. Whatever. Next chapter of... um... AMU JOINS EASTER! Dang, I haven't wrote fanfictions in a while :/ BTW, I don't own shugo chara (DUH!)

"Amu-chan, I feel sick."

I turned around to see a ghostly pale Ran clutching her stomach. I raised my eyebrow and turned to Miki, who still hasn't even come out of her egg. I gulped worriedly. Ran noticed my concern, and began to laugh as if it was nothing, despite what she told me just a few seconds ago. Even if she hadn't complained about feeling ill, the sweat rolling down her white face told the truth. I smiled, putting on another mask over my facade.

"Just stay home," I said, putting on my blazer, "and you'll be fine."

Those words that came out of my mouth was just a bigger lie piled onto the illusion I already pull off at school. Ran nodded, but I could easily tell she was doubting me, and I don't blame her. Slowly, she walked to her egg. Waving her hand at me, she jumped into her little house and it shut tight.

'I hope it doesn't stay like that forever,' I thought, troubled. Grabbing the clover patterned egg, I stuffed my feet into my shoes and ran out of the house without even waving goodbye to my family.

The bell rang loudly. I got up from my desk and out the door, staring at my feet the whole time. No matter what, I could not shake the thought of losing Ran and Miki one day after they came. I unhooked my bag and stared at the green egg who has yet to hatch.

'I hope you come out soon, along with your sisters.'

Sighing, I closed the bag and began to leave the school building.

"Ne, ne! I heard Hinamori-san refused the Guardian's invatation!"

"Yeah! Somebody told me that she ripped it right in front of their faces!"

"How cool is she?!"

I looked up. I still had my reputation as being cool & spicy Hinamori Amu, despite the fact I despised it so much. I frowned. That's all I have.

Suddenly, I felt a cold breeze blow on the back of my neck, causing goose bumps to appear on my arms. I literally jumped up and quickly fell down onto the ground, facing the 'ghost' who had blown on my neck. She stared at me with her sparkling amber eyes as her indigo hair blew gently with the breeze.

Fujisaki Nadeshiko, Guardian's Queen's Chair.

Nadeshiko giggled, commenting on how easily scared I was. The I blushed, refusing to look into the Queen's Chair's eyes.

'You can't be friends with the Guardians.' Remembering Utau's words I frowned, lost in a sea of thoughts. In fact, I was lost in general. Who was truly the bad guys? Should I trust somebody who put restraints over me and slapped another facade over my true self?

'Who is my true self?'

"Are you okay, Amu-chan?"

Her voice sounded like honey. Her words fished her out of the ocean of mixed feelings. The way Nadeshiko said my name was so sing-songy and carefree. Not full of fear or admiration of my fake selves, but one I was not used to. One that only belonged to a person who was nice enough to care.

A friend.

'Can I really betray my... friend?'

Nadeshiko repeated her question, only this time her words topped with concern. Her thin brows furrowed and she pouted. I gulped. I had no time to think. It was like small grains of sand falling through an hour glass, taunting me.

'Make a decision. Your running out of time. Hurry! Think faster!'

'TIME'S UP!'

"I have to go!" I bolted. I turned to see Nadeshiko's disappointed face. A pain struck my heart, and something shook in my school bag. I whispered my final goodbye to the purple-haired girl.

"Please, don't expect to talk to me again."

GAH! TOO SHORT! Okay, if I don't update this story by the end of next next week (I have a lot of work over the summer, k?!) I will have to update all my stories twice as fast! And if not, thrice! I sound like Rock Lee from Naruto... Well, R&R while I start writing the next chapter of my other stories! I might be dead the next time you see me!
