Little Angels on Christmas

"No, don't look at me with that look." She narrowed her eyes staring at her gorgeous wife.

"What look? I don't know what you're talking about." Ray replied, pressed her lips together trying to hold back a grin.

"That's what exactly I meant," She pointed with her finger toward the smiling woman. "That I-don't-know-what-you-are-talking-about look."

"Ssh, you'll scare him," She gazed at the baby in her arms.

"Don't shush me." Nami said lowering her voice a little and saw the older woman grinning.

"You said we have no plan tonight."

"I…well, no, but," A poke on her thigh made her turn her gaze down. She forgot about the other child beside her.

"Can I see my room?"

She kneeled down in front of the girl. "You want to see your room?" The curly-haired girl nodded. "Okay then, let's go to your room." She smiled as the girl grinned happily. She glanced at Ray and saw her nodded. She took the little girl's hand and went upstairs.

Today was Christmas eve, actually she thought to spend the day with her lovely wife, alone, and has dinner together. Since they would go to Ray's house tomorrow and stay at there until New Year. However, Ray's cousin Julian called asking if they can take care of their children today for the couple had conference, what kind of conference that be held on before Christmas anyway. She had to cancel her reservation for tonight. She had dinner reservation for tonight actually. She thought to give surprise to her wife, however they had to take care of their cousin once removed, not that she hated children.

She took the 5 years old girl, Angela or Angie, to guest room next to their bedroom. She helped Angie unpacking her bag before heading back to downstairs. She found Ray and baby Michael in living room. When she noticed them she turned her head smiling at the little girl.

"Are you hungry Angie?" She asked the little girl and saw her nodded. "What would you like for lunch?"

Nami sat down on the couch behind Angie and whispered in her ear. She grinned when Ray quirked an eyebrow at her.

"Burger!"

Nami let out a chuckle and leaned back as the older woman reached over and pinched her arm. Ray then turned back to the little girl.

"You want burger?" She saw the girl lifted her eyes thinking.

"Uhm, burger is good, but can I have fruits salad and mashed potatoes too?"

"Of course you can, good girl, you have to eat vegetables too."

"I like potatoes and fruits!"

"That's good, if you don't eat vegetables you won't grow taller." Ray said to the girl and glanced at her wife who stuck her tongue out. "You wait with aunt Nami here, okay?" She got up and approached Nami.

She looked up as Ray bent down handing the baby to her. "Wait, I can't," She stopped Ray.

"How can I cook with him in my arms, or you want to cook?"

Nami shook her head and answered quickly. "No,"

"Then help me, here be careful." She put the baby carefully in Nami's arm. She grinned as Nami straightened her back looking up.

"What should I do?" She turned her gaze when tiny fingers rubbing her jaw.

"Just play with him. Don't worry you can do it."

"Oh, okay," She let out a small cry when the baby pulled her hair.

"See, he wants to play." She chuckled seeing Nami trying to release his grip on her hair.

"No pulling hair," She said to the baby animatedly and saw him smiling. "He smiled."

"Told you don't worry." She caressed his cheek and planted a kiss on her wife's forehead before turn to Angie. "You want to play Lego?" She asked the girl and saw her nodded. She then took Lego box, Nami's actually, for the first time she was glad Nami bought Lego. She put the box on floor before went to kitchen. She poured juice into two mugs and brought them to living room. She glanced at Nami. "You're doing good."

"Yeah, for now." She said to Ray and turned back to the little boy.

Seeing Nami with the baby she couldn't help a smile. It looked adorable. After glanced at the playing girl on the floor she headed kitchen preparing their lunch.

She was doing good with the baby until he started to crying. She soothed him however he wouldn't stop his crying. "Ray," She called the older woman. "He's crying, what should I do?"

"Try sing." She shouted toward living room while putting sliced apples and cut strawberries into bowl. It seemed working for the cry eventually died. She put another cut fruits and lettuce mixing it. Finished the salad she took out the burgers from oven.

Meanwhile at living room Nami was singing Christmas song she knows, well kids like Christmas song. However after moments he started to cry again. "What's up kid? Why are you crying?" She stood up rocking the baby. When he wouldn't stop crying she called her wife again. "Ray, he's crying again." She turned her gaze when Ray approached them, milk bottle in hand.

"I think he's hungry." She put the bottle on table before took the baby from Nami. "Hey, did aunt Nami's voice scare you?"

"Hahaha funny." She handed the bottle to the grinning woman and saw the baby stopped crying as he drank his meal. "He's hungry." She caressed his chubby cheek.

"Yeah," She then turned to Nami. "Lunch is ready, you and Angie can eat first."

"What about you?"

"I'll feed him first. Slowly honey," She pulled the bottle as he coughed a little.

"Honey huh," She stepped closer put her hands on Ray's waist. "I like the way you said honey." She winked and saw the older woman chuckled.

"You better take Angie, she must be hungry too." She glanced at the girl.

"I'm hungry too." She let out a laugh when Ray narrowed her eyes at her. She pecked her lips and kissed his head before approached Angie. "Angie, let's eat burger!"

Ray shook her head looking at the cheered up girl and woman running toward dining room. "You like your meal?" She looked as the baby drank his milk hungrily. Looking at the tiny baby in her arms a warmth feeling slowly filled her chest.

"It looks delicious!"

"Yes, but you can't eat it yet." Ray smiled as the girl knitted her brows.

"Why?"

"We will use this for decoration, do you like drawing?" Ray turned off the beater and took the bowl.

"I like drawing!"

Nami smiled looking at the enthusiastic girl on counter chair beside her. "Really? Can you teach me?" She chuckled as Angie nodded furiously.

"Okay."

"Who wants to make red color?" Ray put two bowls on the counter and took red and green liquid food coloring. She chuckled as Angie and Nami raised their hands up.

"Me!"

"I'm green then." She passed the red bottle to Nami and took the green for herself. "Don't taste it." She said and saw both were grinning widely. She put some drops of the liquid into the icing sugars mixing it. She lifted her gaze when she heard giggles. As she expected they were tasting the sugar. It seemed Nami found her matching friends. Shaking her head slightly she wrapped the bowl before brought it to fridge.

"Sweet?" Nami asked the girl.

"Sweet!"

She was mixing the sugar but stopped when Angie placed some on her cheek. "Hey," She turned to the giggling girl before took some sugars from spoon and put it on her nose. "You're like Rudolph now." She said laughing.

Ray approached the counter and found the two with sugars covered their face. She pulled out her phone taking a shot. She couldn't help giggling looking at the picture. She put the phone back to her Jeans pocket lifting her gaze. Nami and Angie were looking at her grinning. She took a step back when Nami walked toward her smirking. "Nami," She warned the woman turning around to run but Nami grabbed her waist.

"Angie hurry," She called Angie while hugging Ray and bent their bodies together. She laughed when Angie successfully put some sugar on Ray's cheeks.

When Nami released her hold she quickly grabbed spoon she had used earlier and ran after the two. Soon they were chasing each other around kitchen, well she chased Nami and Angie.

"Okay, let's change your diaper." She pulled out a diaper eyeing it. "What should I do with this?" She should agree when Ray offer to do the changing. She turned her head when she heard giggles from Angie. "What?"

"You don't know how to use that?"

"Well, I never use this." She said and saw the girl giggling. "Okay, let's change diaper." She put the diaper and started to remove his pants. She leaned down as she removed the tapes. She pulled down the front side and took a glance toward Angie as she heard her giggles. She turned her gaze back and froze as water splashed over her face and neck.

She looked at Angie and saw her laughing. Michael's happy voice brought her gaze back to him. "You pee on me?" She said and saw the baby smiling at her. "And you're smiling." She pulled up the hem of her shirt wiping her face.

Ray entered the room and found the three on bed. Nami was wiping her face. "Finish the changing?" She approached the bed. "What's funny?" She asked the laughing girl.

"Mike pee on aunt Nami's face."

She pressed her lips together when Nami turned to her.

"Don't laugh." She warned and Ray shook her head biting her lips. "I think he prefers you." She threw the diaper to Ray and got off of bed. "Don't laugh." She said once again before heading bathroom.

After the woman left she turned to Angie and then burst into laugh. Their laughter grew louder when Nami shouted from bathroom.

"I can hear youuu,"

She then moved to his side. "You pee on aunt Nami?" She chuckled as he stretched and kicked his legs laughing.

After finished their dinner and eat their gingerbread which Angie ate happily they were crouching on living room couch watching Disney. She brushed Angie's hair as the girl laid her head on her lap. She glanced at the other woman at the other side. Ray cradled Michael in her arms, playing with his fingers. She put an elbow on the couch back putting her head on her palms watching her. She couldn't help a smile as she saw Ray tickled his stomach and giggled when he laughed. She looked adorable. It seemed she was good with baby. She then remembered their talk about children. She wondered if her wife wanted a baby. She wasn't sure if she could raise a child, she like children of course but having them was different story.

"You're staring," She turned to Nami and saw the woman staring at her lovingly.

She inhaled and smiled. "You look adorable."

She let out a chuckle. "Did you break something again?" She chuckled when Nami pushed her shoulder playfully.

"I'm praising you. You could be a good mother." She smiled when Ray turned her gaze at her.

"You too." She looked back at him as he grabbed her finger. "You know, when I hold him in my arms I feel something."

"Really?" She saw Ray nodded. She bit her bottom lip thinking if she should ask or no. "You…want a baby?"

She took a breath smiling at him before turned to Nami. "Of course I do, but, I want to hear your opinion too."

She looked down at the sleeping girl on her lap. "If you do then me too."

She reached over and took Nami's hand. "We don't have to if you aren't ready. I don't think I'm ready either."

She intertwined their fingers lifting her gaze. "Why?"

"I'm busy with my work. You too. I think we're not ready for now." She squeezed the hand in her offering a smile.

She smiled back. "But, I'm always ready, twenty-four hours seven days, for the making process." She winked and laughed when Ray pinched her side.

"Children here."

"Don't worry, she's asleep. And he won't understand, right kid?" She asked the baby and laughed when Ray shook her head. She dropped her gaze when she felt Angie rolled to her side hugging her stomach.

"Merry Christmas ma,"

Hearing the soft mumble she felt her chest warmed. She brushed her curly hair with her fingers before looked up at the older woman. "I think I know what you meant." Ray smiled back at her.

At 11 PM Julian and Rachel came to pick up their children.

"Thank you for taking care of them. I hope they didn't trouble you a lot." Rachel took her son from her cousin as his husband put sleeping Angie inside car.

"No, they didn't. We had a lot of funs." She turned to her wife as Nami snaked her arm on her waist.

"Yes, we had fun. They are good kids." Nami added.

"Thank you, both of you." Julian said to his cousins.

"You sure you don't want to stay? We can go together tomorrow." Nami asked the couple.

"No, we had bothered you enough. Besides, we don't want to disturb your Christmas eve." He said and gave quick wink toward Nami.

Ray let out a chuckle and replied. "Okay, see you tomorrow." She leaned in for cheek kiss with Rachel and saw Nami did the same.

They waited until the car disappeared before walked inside. "Wine?" She asked Nami and the other woman nodded. She then walked toward kitchen.

She threw her body on the couch grabbing remote. She moved aside when Ray came giving her place. "Thanks," She took the glass from the other woman.

She gulped the red liquid. "Find something interesting?"

"No. You want to watch movie?"

She took a gulp first before replied. "Anything." She watched as Nami stood up and walked toward TV stands. She curled the corner of her lips up as I'll Be Home For Christmas melody filled the room. She let out a chuckle when Nami approached her extending her hand. She finished her wine, put the glass on table and took the hand. She encircled her arms around Nami's shoulder as they started to move their body together.

She pulled Ray closer and put her hands on her back. "I'm sorry I can't take you for a dinner tonight."

"It's okay, beside…" She trailed off staring at Nami. "You planned something, didn't you?"

She lifted her brows. "I reserved restaurant actually." She knitted her brows slightly when Ray stopped dancing.

"Why didn't you tell me? I'm sorry Nami, I didn't know."

"Hey, it's okay. We can have it another time." She rubbed her back. When she saw the older woman looked at her with guilty eyes she added. "I have great time today, really."

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay." She assured her wife and moved their bodies again. "But, if you're that guilty I won't mind a kiss."

She let out a chuckle. "A kiss?" She asked and Nami wriggled her brows grinning. "I thought you want to wait until Christmas."

"It's Christmas now."

"No," She glanced at the clock. "It's an hour before Christmas." She let out a small laugh when Nami made pouting face.

"Okay, I can wait."

She leaned her head against Nami's and felt the other woman pulled her body against her. She closed her eyes as they danced in silence. After moments Nami broke the silence.

"About baby, we can look for a doctor if you want."

She leaned her head back. "I think we need talk first. It isn't something that should be decide in haste. Just because I like holding a baby in my arms it doesn't mean we have to go to doctor tomorrow." She moved her hands and cupped Nami's cheeks. "There will be time for that. As long as I have you with me, it's enough." She caressed her soft cheek with her thumb. "Having you is enough."

She leaned her head a little against the hand. "I think I should thank Santa this year too."

She tilted her head slightly knitting her brows. "Why?"

She pulled the older woman against her although there was no place between them anymore. "Because I asked for an angel and he gave me you."

Only Nami could make her heart fluttered and butterflies rise up in her stomach. She trailed her knuckles over her brow to her cheek before cupping it in her hand. "You know, I'm very grateful for waking in the morning and having you beside me."

"You'll always have me beside you." She stared at those deep brown eyes of her, which melted her every time she looked at them. "Even if I try to leave, you won't let me go."

She pulled the corner of her lips up and shook her head. "I won't." She stroke Nami's pink lips with her thumb before leaned down and captured it with her.

She trailed her hands up pulling Ray's body against her. She moved her lips against her in slow pace kiss. When they parted she watched as the older woman had her eyes shut close. Looking at her if it was possible she loved her more. She would forever be grateful to have the woman in her life for she had shown her love and taught her how to trust. "Merry Christmas Ray,"

She opened her eyes and smiled as she stared at those eyes. "Merry Christmas Nami," She then closed the gap when the other woman leaned in for another kiss.

Through the years we all will be together

If the fates allow

Hang a shining star upon the highest bough

And have yourself a merry little Christmas now
