Summary: Nami and Ray are enjoying their valentine day, in their own way.
AN: A little present for you guys, for valentine ;) Wish you a wonderful day :) Thank you for the reviews on previous chap. From my favorite song Rascal Flatts' I Won't Let Go. I don't own these lovely ladies.
I Won't Let Go
"I'm home,"
She locked the door and walked inside. Living room was dark, all lights were off. The only light was from fireplace. "Nami," Wasn't Nami home already? She thought her wife said she would come home early today. She was about to turn on the switch when a candle lightened up and then another followed. Her lips curled up as she watched Nami lit candles on dining room and living room. Put her bag and coat on the couch, she approached her wife.
"Hey, gorgeous." She snaked her arms around Nami's waist. "It's beautiful."
"You like it?" She saw Ray nodded smiling. "I know you'll like it."
"You know me well then," She let out a giggle as Nami winked. "So, I'm wondering if we have something tonight?" She gave a nod toward the candles on table and floor.
"It's just blackout so…" She chuckled when Ray pinched her side playfully. "Why, today is valentine, or I think it is."
She let out a giggle. "So you mean, you made all of this for me?"
"Of course." Her eyes went to Ray's rose lips as the other woman leaned closer.
"What I did to deserve this romantic person." She smirked when she noticed Nami's eyes glued to her lips.
She inhaled when finally she could feel those rose lips bruising against her. "You're just stalking me." She let out a laugh when Ray leaned off and pushed her shoulder playfully. "How about we take dinner?"
She turned her head when Nami gave a nod toward dining room and saw dinner was ready. She looked back at her. "You cooked?"
"Yes." She added when Ray looked at her doubtfully. "I can cook too, well with the servant's help of course."
She chuckled and pecked Nami's lips. "Thank you. We shall go then, I'm hungry."
"I'm starving."
"First you set all these candles, cooked dinner, and now dance, I wish every day is valentine."
"We can make it every day." She pulled the other woman closer as they danced in living room between candles. Looking at Ray's stupid grin she let out a chuckle.
"Maybe we should." She tightened her hands on Nami's shoulders. When certain music filled the room she leaned her head against the other woman's. "This song, I like this song."
"Me too."
It's like a storm, that cuts the path...

"Ray, honey,"
She took a glass from cupboard and poured water. Finished her drink she approached dining table. Nothing was on the table beside apples and grapes. It seemed her wife wasn't home yet. She glanced at the clock, 7:30. Maybe she had late work, these days Ray seemed busy. She couldn't blame her since she was still running the big company. Luckily, Andrew had decided to help his sister. A growl from her stomach broke her thought. She checked fridge, took bacon and then bread from kitchen island before heading toward living room.
It was nine when Ray came home. She looked tired. "Hey, you're late today."
"Stupid clients, stupid employees." She leaned down and pecked Nami's lips. "I'm sorry, I'll make something for dinner."
"Nah, it's okay. I have already." She offered a smile. "You look tired, you have dinner?"
"I'm fine. I'll take bath first." She pecked the other woman's forehead before turned around heading upstairs.
She watched as Ray headed toward stairs. She pressed her lips and stood up. Maybe she could make something for her wife.
She was reading report files when she heard a knock. She put her glasses down smiling when she saw Nami coming with a tray.
She carefully put a cup of tea, Ray's favorite, and sandwich between bunches of files. "You should eat something or they'll think I can't take care of my wife."
She giggled. "Thank you." She said before took a sip of her tea.
"Wow, you'll stick forever with these files." She eyed papers and folders, and heard Ray's giggle. "Okay, I won't distraught you, though I want it, badly," She winked and Ray chuckled. "Don't stay too late."
She smiled when Nami leaned down kissing her head. "Okay. Thanks for this."
She nodded. "Good night." She then left the room. After finished her bath and brushed her teeth she decided to read something while waiting for Ray. However, somewhere between her reading she fell asleep. She was woken up when the mattress shifted. She glanced at table clock, it showed past three. She turned onto her side pulling the other woman's body closer. "It's late." She heard a hum before the sleepiness took her again.
She put Nami's coffee cup and pressed coffee button keeping her phone between her ear and shoulder. "That's what I told you, explain that to them not me," Leaving coffeemaker she took plate. "For God's sake you can't even do that?"
"Ray, where's my pants?"
She put her phone on her shoulder before shouting back. "On the sofa." Then brought her phone back to her ear. "Listen, I said we take survey first…you can't just agree with their plan," She put slices of pancake on the plate and let out a sigh rubbing her forehead. "No, for the hundred times I said no, are you listening to what I just said now?" She took the plate bringing it to dinner table. "Yes I've read the file…okay, bring him today…what do you mean, they want to talk right?...Then bring the damn lawyer today." She clenched her jaws, grabbed Nami's cup and hissed as some of hot liquid splashed out burning her hand. "Just do what I said damnit!"
She approached kitchen looking around. "Ray, where's my socks?"
"I don't know Nami! How many times have I told you not to throw them around!" She couldn't help yelling at the other woman.
"Fine, don't be angry." She mumbled and leaned down looking for her socks. Finally she found it in living room under couch.
"Not you idiot. God's sake, just do as I said, and bring him today." She let out a curse before cut the line.
After put her socks on, she pulled a chair out and sat down. She shoveled the pancake inside her mouth chewing in silence watching Ray cleaning up kitchen island. She felt a guilty to always make her wife busy at morning.
She put her jacket suit on taking her phone and purse from dining table. "I'll see you tonight."
"Okay."
Hearing Nami's small voice she stopped. She took a breath and turned around approaching her silently eating wife. She said when Nami turned her gaze to her. "I'll try to come home early, you want something for dinner?"
"Stew."
"Stew then," She leaned down and pecked her wife's lips. She chuckled as she saw her lipstick on Nami's lip and wiped it with her thumb. "Be careful okay."
"You too." Ray nodded and leaned back turning around. After Ray left she looked back at her pancake finishing her breakfast.
A buzz sound from her cell phone woke her up. Rubbing her eyes she reached her phone. It was a message from Leon about tomorrow trial. She put the gadget on nightstand and turned around. When she found she was alone she knitted her brows. "What time is it?" She glanced at the table clock, half past two. Was Ray still working? She pushed the blanket away, grabbed her pajama robe before heading toward door. As she had expected she found the other woman inside work chamber. Leaving the door she approached Ray's desk. Ray laid her head on her folded arms, she was holding a pen in her left hand. She looked at papers and files around the peacefully sleeping woman. She must have fallen asleep while doing her work. Slowly she took the glasses off and laid it on the desk. Carefully she took Ray's shoulders and lifted her body.
She gazed at the woman in her arms while heading upstairs. She was thinner. Ray had told her about the company had a problem with contractor for Hamilton's new hotel. That was why she always came home late lately. She barely slept at night, the eye bag was the proof. She kissed Ray's head as they reached the second floor. She carefully laid the sleeping woman down on the bed. She was about to put blanket over her body when Ray opened her eyes. "Sorry, did I wake you?"
Ray let out a breath rubbing her heavy eyes. "I must have fallen asleep. You carried me up here?"
She nodded before climbed the bed and sat against headboard beside the other woman. "You work too hard." She leaned on her elbow tucked locks behind Ray's ear.
"Yeah." She pushed her body up to sit position leaning against headboard.
"The same problem?"
"Yeah," She rubbed her temple closing her eyes.
"You want to talk?" She took Ray's other hand holding it. "I can't help with your work but I can be a good listener." She saw Ray's lips curled up a little and then she lifted her eyelids staring at ceiling.
"I just…tired, I'm tired," She took a breath and let out another. "Sometimes I wish, I'm not the owner and president of Hamilton, and just a house wife."
"Come here." She released Ray's hand raising her arm as the other woman leaned her head on her chest. She put her arm around her shoulder hugging her. "Don't worry, you can do it."
"You think I can?"
"Of course, you're the strongest woman I've ever meet. Superwoman."
She giggled. "Because I'm a wife of BPD's kickass detective?"
"Absolutely right, thanks for the compliment by the way." She chuckled as the other woman giggled. She took Ray's hand and kissed her head. "You can do it, I know you can." She felt Ray nodded. "Besides, you have my shoulder, it's free."
She let out a chuckle before leaning back looking at Nami's brown eyes. "I can't imagine what would happen to me if I don't have you with me."
Nami cupped her wife's cheek and ran her thumb over the smooth skin. "You're lucky then, because you're stuck with me forever, and not that I'm complaining."
She giggled and took Nami's cheeks. "I guess I am." She said before closed the gap.

"You're scary when you're angry." She held a grin when Ray lifted an eyebrow looking at her over the rim of her stemware. They were sitting on couch after their dance.
She gulped her healthy drink before replying. "You must see yourself."
"Me?"
"Especially when you have bad mood." She tapped Nami's nose leaning against her as they listened to the song.
...It hurts my heart , to see you cry...

Ringtone sound startled her. She reached Nami's arm shaking it. "Nami, your phone." She heard Nami let out a groan.
She forced her eyes open grabbing her cell phone. She looked at the screen, it showed Owen. "Owen, what's up?...I'll be there in ten." She put her cell back on nightstand and got out of the bed heading bathroom.
She raised her head and saw Nami putting her badge and gun on her belt. She glanced at table clock and sat up. "You have case?"
"Yeah," She threw her jacket on before walking toward bed putting her socks on. Took her cell, she turned around. "I'll go to station from crime scene."
"Be careful." She said and leaned when Nami leaned in to give a peck.
"See you later."
She watched Nami left before laying back. Sometimes Nami got call and had to leave in the middle of night. At first she would be worried but then she got used to Nami's job.
She poured water, put the glass on table. Tonight she made Nami's favorite food. Nami would definitely be happy to see her favorite foods. Pleased with the dinner menu, she left the table to take wine. A wine after dinner would be nice, she thought. She was pulling out Pinot Noir when she heard sound of door being opened and Nami's voice. "Hey, you're late today." She knitted her brows when Nami threw her jacket suit on coffee table and slumped onto couch.
"Sorry I forgot to call you, I have new case this evening." She rubbed her face leaning against couch. She had headache from the case and her body was tired like hell.
She put the wine bottle down and took glass of water for Nami. She approached couch handing the glass to the tired woman. It seemed she wasn't in good mood. "You hungry?"
She took a long gulp before handing the glass back to Ray. "I'm fine." She pulled off her boots and socks.
"I made your favorite foods."
"I'm fine."
"You should eat something or…"
"God Ray, I said I'm fine!"
"Okay, no need to yell." She turned around and was about to leave when Nami grabbed her wrist.
Nami stood up and inhaled. "I didn't mean to yell, sorry?"
She pressed her lips together nodding. "You need something?"
"I think I need aspirin."
"You have headache?" When Nami nodded she walked toward kitchen. She took the medicine and gave it to her. "Anything else?"
She shook her head slightly. "I'll take bath first." She grabbed her jacket and walked toward stairs but then turned around. "Can you make tea? Your favorite one."
Smiling she nodded. "I'll bring it upstairs." She saw Nami gave a small smile before turned around.
After waited for minutes she poured the brown liquid into cup adding some sugar mixing it. She took saucer from cupboard and left kitchen. She held the cup with her right hand and pushed door open with her other hand. "Nami, your…" She inhaled and let out a breath as she saw the other woman lying on the bed, sleeping. "…tea."
Silently she closed the door and headed downstairs. She looked at the foods on table and sighed, it seemed she had dinner alone again.
She turned the TV channel looking for something interesting. When she didn't find any interesting program she turned it off and stood up. She took her empty cup and was about to leave living room when she heard sounds. She quickly put the cup down on coffee table and hurriedly walked toward entrance when she saw Nami was sitting on floor leaning against door.
"Nami," She kneeled beside the other woman and caught her shoulders before her body could slump on floor. She knitted her brows when smell of alcohol met her nostrils. "Nami,"
"Raay…my wife, sweetheart…"
She looked at Nami's red and unfocused eyes, and let out a sigh. "Let's get you inside." She put Nami's arm over her shoulder before taking her waist lifting her body. She wasn't strong as Nami so she couldn't carry her. Finally she could move Nami's half limp body to living room. She laid the other woman to sit on couch.
"I'm thirsty,"
She walked to kitchen and poured some water for Nami. She handed the glass to the other woman before kneeling beside couch pulling off her boots.
"Shit, my head's suck…stupid wind, stupid boy…damnit…"
She just listened to the muttering woman in silence. It was better if she said nothing. She pulled off the socks putting it inside the boots. She then got up and sat beside Nami.
"I wish…could kick his ass, that asshole…I swear, I'd kick his ass, you know,"
She nodded when Nami looked at her and then chuckled. She pulled Nami against her as she took her jacket suit off. She laid the woman back against couch and unfastened her belt. She took the jacket from table and stood up but Nami grabbed her pajama robe.
"Don't go…don't leave me,"
She looked at Nami's slightly teary eyes. Putting the jacket and gun belt she sat down beside her. She was surprised a little when the other woman laid her head on her lap starting to cry. "Nami, what's wrong?"
"It's my fault…I couldn't protect him,"
"Nami," She brushed her long hair with her fingers. Nami had told her the other day about the case she was charging in, a drug dealer young man.
"I should have known it…I shouldn't let him go…I could do nothing, I just stood there and saw he died…"
She leaned down hugging Nami's shaking shoulder. "It wasn't your fault." She added when Nami shook her head. "Listen to me, he chose to leave, you had tried to hold him back, didn't you?" She kissed Nami's head tightening her hug when she heard the cry grew louder. "It wasn't your fault."
...
She was surprised to find herself lying on couch. She pushed the blanket and sat up. "Shit, my head."
"Finally you wake up."
She folded her knees as Ray sat down facing her. "Did I sleep here?"
She let out a chuckle. "You didn't remember?"
"No."
She pressed her lips and took Nami's hands. "You're coming home drunk, muttering and then crying out." She chuckled when the other woman let out a groan. "But I'm glad you did," She added when Nami knitted her brows. "You told me everything."
She looked down at their joining hands.
"It wasn't your fault." She added when Nami was about to protest. "I know you're blaming yourself. That's why you're a good detective, you don't just do your job, you do really care for people. But Nami, people make their own choice, and there's nothing you can do for that. Thing happens, good or bad, whether you like it or not." She released Nami's hands and took her cheeks in her palms. "Please don't blame yourself. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for me."
She took the hands on her cheeks and kissed it before nodding. "How can I live without you?"
She let out a giggle and replied. "I think you knew the answer already."
"Yeah, I can't." She leaned in and kissed her wife's lips.

...I'm gonna hold you, and I won't let go...
"You'll always be there with me."
"You too." She played with Nami's shirt button as they cuddled on couch. She loved to hear Nami's heartbeat. "Anyway, you're heavy you know."
"Maybe you should do training with me." She let out a chuckle when Ray raised her head a little lifting an eyebrow. "It isn't that bad, you know with plus-plus."
"I'll just go with that plus-plus so I don't need the training." She winked and saw Nami laughed.
"You pervert woman."
"Well you love pervert woman."
She shook her head. "Not just any pervert woman," She ran her fingers up and down Ray's back. "I love Hamilton's fucking hot, pervert president."
"I like when you talk like that," She pushed her body up and shifted so they were eye level. "It's sexy."
"I know you'd like it." She grinned looking at the woman above her. "Anyway, I have confession actually."
"Confession?" She watched as Nami nervously licked her lips.
"Uh, I broke your favorite vase." She said quickly and pressed her lips together waiting for Ray to explode. Ray only stared at her for moment.
"You're lucky today is valentine so you're forgiven."
Her lips turned into a wide grin. "I thought it's yesterday. Or is it tomorrow?" She put her hands on Ray's neck pulling her down.
"Isn't it every day?"
"You're right, it's every day."
