I Want A Puppy!
Nami pulled out key and pushed door open. Leaving the door she walked toward living room. She took off her jacket suit, throwing it together with the key on table before heading toward kitchen as she was thirsty. Today was indeed hot day. Plus she had investigation outside the whole day. She pulled her hair and tied it up in a bun. Her lips curled up in a smile as smell of garlic greeted her. She entered kitchen and smiled wider as she found her wife standing in front of sink. A grin plastered her face as a thought crossed her head. Silently she approached the older woman and grabbed her waist. However the next second her grin vanished as an elbow met her jaw.
"Aw! Ittee…"
Ray was startled when someone grabbed her waist from behind. She quickly turned around and 'accidently' hit the person with her elbow. Her wife actually. "Nami, are you okay?"
"Aw, my jaw." Nami straightened back rubbing her poor jaw. "I just want to give my wife a surprise and got hit instead?"
Ray giggled approaching her wife. "You startled me. Let me see it." She took Nami's cheek and caressed with her thumb. "Sorry, it's hurt?"
Nami nodded curling her lips down. "Hurt."
Ray let out another giggle when Nami lifted her chin. She leaned down and kissed her wife's jaw. "Better?"
Nami nodded grinning widely. "Much better." Her grin grew wider when Ray once again leaned down to give a peck on her lips. "You're early today." Ray took a cup and poured water before handing it to her. "Thanks." She forgot the reason she came to kitchen in the first place.
"Finished early." Ray took the cup back from Nami and put it on the counter behind her.
"Smell delicious." Nami said glancing toward the half cooked-food on the stove.
"It's almost finish. Why don't you take bath first and we have dinner." Ray patted her wife's waist.
"You don't need my help?" Nami wriggled her brows.
Ray shook her head. "Remember what happened the last time you helped me?"
"But I remember it wasn't me who started it."
"That's what I meant, you'll just distract me. So, no." Although she enjoyed her wife accompany so much but she couldn't risk the fire alarm ring again.
"That's a shame."
Ray cocked her head when Nami winked. She then pushed the other woman out from kitchen. "I put your change already."
"Thank you honey." Nami sent a wink before leaving kitchen.
Ray shook her head and turned back to her cooking. She finished the main dish and took fresh vegetables for salad from fridge.
After finished their dinner, Ray went to living room and checked her phone while waiting for her wife. Nami was doing the dishes, her duty. She laid her phone on coffee table when Nami approached her. "Thanks."
"You have cooked so I should do the dishes." Nami took TV remote before laying her body down on couch. "I'm a good wife, ain't I?"
Ray giggled and lifted her arm as Nami laid her head on her lap. She brushed Nami's brown hair with fingers. "You didn't break anything, did you?" She chuckled when Nami narrowed her eyes at her. "You're leaving tonight?"
Nami shook her head. "Leon and Jason will do the investigation. They will call if they find something." Her team had been doing investigation for a serial murder case. But they still hadn't got any clues about the murderer. She turned to news channel and let out a yawn.
"You should rest." Ray looked down pushing locks behind Nami's ear.
"Am I now?" Nami replied and heard Ray's giggle.
"I meant on bed."
Nami turned her head and looked up at Ray. "Are you seducing me now?"
Ray lifted an eyebrow smirking. "Well, I never mind the place."
Nami's eyes widened slightly and she pinched the other woman's hand. "Ray,"
Ray laughed upon seeing Nami's blush. "But seriously you need sleep. You didn't sleep well lately." When Nami yawned she added. "See, let's go." She patted Nami's shoulder.
"Can't move." She chuckled when Ray lifted an eyebrow. She put the remote but after turned the TV off and sat up. Ray lent a hand to help her which she took happily and grinned following her wife to bedroom.
"What do you think?" Asahi looked at her big boss waiting.
Ray looked at the paper in her hand, designs for dresses and gowns for the next fashion show. "These are really great Asahi, I like it."
Asahi grinned. "Glad you like it."
"I told you, I trust you for this." Ray said before looking down at the paper. She turned the page looking at a gown with low cut back. She couldn't help imagining if Nami wears the gown. Nami definitely would look sexy.
"Since the design's settled, next is material. I've decided some but I need your opinion." Asahi took catalogs and laid it on the desk before them.
"Yes." Ray mumbled still looking down at the gown. If Nami wore black stilettos it would be perfect, but her wife hated high heels. That was the problem.
"So, I thought for these and these for the dress," Asahi pointed her pen on the catalog before turning the page. "But I like these too, you think which one's better since you know…"
Ray just let out a mumble but didn't really hear to the designer. With Nami's long hair it would look beautiful if she had it up, and most importantly her smooth back was exposed. She grinned slightly as the image of Nami wearing the sexy gown filled her head.
"So, the other designers asked if we can use this brand, this is the latest brand. What do you think?" Asahi looked down at the catalogs before taking memo. "What do you think, Ray?" She took another catalog. When there was no reply from the other woman she looked up and found Ray was grinning. "Ray," The other woman still held her gaze at the paper. She leaned her head and saw a gown with low cut. She then realized what the other woman was doing. "She will look sexy with that gown, won't she?"
"Yeah," Ray replied but then blinked turning her gaze. "Sorry, what?"
Asahi let out a chuckle shaking her head. "Oh my God, maybe next time I should put Nami's face in there." She let out small laugh when Ray cleared her throat laying the paper on desk.
"Can you, make one?" Ray cleared her throat again. "I mean, with Nami's face."
"I'm just kidding." Asahi said and then added. "What are you gonna do with it anyway?" When Ray looked aside she grinned. "Let me guess, for your wallpaper?" She laughed when Ray lifted her brows but then smiled sheepishly.
"Just make one for me. And with that gown." Ray pointed toward the paper.
"Aye ma'am." Asahi chuckled. She turned her gaze when her phone buzzed. It was Leon. "Sorry," She said to Ray before answering the call. "Hey…yes, I'm at work, it's okay…again? But you promised we go today…he will be sad…fine, it's alright, I'll go with him…be careful, okay?...See you later." She cut the line off and laid her phone on desk.
"What's wrong?" Ray asked as she saw Asahi's disappointed face.
"He has investigation tonight." Asahi sighed.
"They must be busy. Nami said she'll come home late too."
"But J was so exciting for today. He must be sad." Asahi then took her phone. "You want to see his picture? He's taller now."
Ray leaned closer looking down at Asahi's phone screen. "He's so cute. How old is he?"
"Nine this month."
"Aw, that's cute." Ray said grinning.
"Maybe you should think about having one." Asahi put her phone back on desk. "They're good companion."
Ray pressed her lips together leaning back against her chair. "But Nami doesn't like puppies."
"Well if it's you, I don't think she would reject it." Asahi let out a laugh when Ray raised an eyebrow grinning.
"You're right."
Nami took her jacket suit off rubbing her stiff shoulder. Sitting for hours inside car waiting for suspect stiffened her shoulders. She headed toward kitchen and took water from fridge. After quenched her thirsty she thought to head bedroom but noticed the work chamber door was open. She approached the room and pushed the door open wider. Her beloved wife was sitting behind the desk doing her work. "Hey beautiful,"
Ray lifted her gaze and smiled. "Hey, I didn't hear you come. What time is it?" She glanced at the clock. "You have dinner?"
"Already. I'll take bath, so sweaty and smelled." Nami sniffed her shirt and crinkled her nose.
Ray giggled. "The bath is ready. I'll come after finish this."
"Thank you." Nami said before leaving her wife to finish her work. She headed bedroom and found her change was laid on sofa. She took her change and walked toward bathroom. When she finished bath Ray was already lying on bed, reading something. She climbed the bed and let out a moan as her tired body met the soft mattress.
"Tired?" Ray laid the book she was reading on nightstand and turned to her wife. Nami nodded her head and closed her eyes.
"I think I will need massage."
"Need my help?" Ray leaned on an elbow leaning closer to Nami. She pushed locks from the other woman's forehead. "I'm good at massage too."
Nami let out a chuckle pulling eyelids up turning at Ray. "Now?"
Ray giggled poking Nami's cheek lightly. "You'll have to leave early tomorrow, remember?" She let out a giggle when Nami pushed her lower lip out. "Maybe tomorrow?" Nami then pulled the corner of her lips up nodding. She then laid her head down on pillow facing the other woman. "Anyway, there's something I want to talk."
Nami took a breath closing her eyes. "What is it?"
Ray pressed her lips together before saying. "I'm thinking…"
Nami let out a mumble feeling the sleepiness slowly took her.
"Nami," Ray took her wife's hand.
"I'm listening." Nami said but kept her eyes close. She would fall asleep in any second.
"I'm thinking to have a puppy."
"Good." Nami mumbled but then pushed her eyelids open. "Puppy?" Ray nodded. "No." Suddenly the sleepiness was drained away. "No, you don't."
"Why not?"
"Because…" Ray drew her brows together slightly. "Because, we don't have time for taking care of a puppy."
"Servants will do it." Ray said.
"Then tell the servant to have one, not us." Nami replied.
"But I want a puppy. They're cute."
"Yes when it's little, but as it grows up it will just be a trouble." When Ray was about to protest she added. "Having a pet will take your time, trust me because I have one before, you're busy and me too. We don't have time."
"But…" Ray was about to protest but her wife cut her off.
"You will have to take them for a walk, feed them, every day. Can you?"
Ray looked at her wife for a while before throwing Nami's hand off and turned her body to face wall.
"No pets." When Ray didn't reply she sighed softly. "Let's sleep, I'm tired."
Ray didn't reply. She turned the bedlamp off but kept her eyes open. She didn't give up yet. She would make her wife agree. With any way.
The next day, Nami was awakened by scent of coffee. She pushed her heavy eyelids open and saw Ray walking toward bed with a tray in hand. She rubbed her eyes and stretched her arms and legs out before sitting up.
"Morning," Ray greeted the sleepy woman and took a sit in front of Nami. "I bring your breakfast."
Nami chuckled and took the cup. She gulped the caffeine drink down and let out a small moan. "That's very sweet of you." She put the cup down on tray before taking the toasted bread.
"I put your shirt and suits already." Ray leaned her head back when Nami leaned to give a kiss. "Brush your teeth first." She giggled as Nami curled her lips down. Leaning slightly she gave a peck on Nami's lips. "You better get ready now or you'll be late."
"Hai, hai, okaasan." Nami took a last sip of her coffee before getting up. She laughed lightly when Ray patted her hip. She took her towel heading toward bathroom. "Thanks for the service."
Ray chuckled and was about to get up when Nami added.
"But I won't change my mind."
Ray closed her eyes and sighed. She brought the tray heading toward door.
The first plan: failed.
Nami was surprised to see many foods on dining table. They had Japanese menu for their dinner. She looked up when Ray approached her. "We have celebration today?"
Ray poured water for them before pulling chair to sit. "You said you missed Japanese before." She took rice and handed the bowl to Nami.
"I've missed it badly." Nami took the chopstick and started to eat.
After their dinner, the couple headed toward bedroom. After finished applying hand cream Ray approached bed. Nami was reading newspaper. She climbed the bed leaning against headboard. "C'mere,"
Nami grinned widely leaning off from headboard and sat before her wife. She let out a small moan as Ray's fingers work her stiff muscle out. "Oh Ray, that feels good."
"Glad you like it." Ray moved her fingers up to Nami's neck, squeezed the muscle. Nami once again moaned. "You really have stiff shoulder. What did you do anyway?"
"Keeping watch." Nami said closing her eyes. Her wife's fingers felt so good that she forgot the newspaper already.
"No wonder." Ray said. When she noticed Nami was relaxed she then decided to bring the matter up. "Nami,"
Nami mumbled still keeping her eyes close.
"It feels good?"
"Very. Bless you woman."
Ray let out soft giggles. She cleared her throat before adding. "It's silent, this house, don't you think?"
"Well, only you and me in this house." Nami said and moaned when Ray moved her fingers up to her neck. "Oh Ray, yes there."
"Maybe we need to add another member."
"Another member?" Nami knitted her brows slightly.
"Yup, another member."
Nami sighed and opened her eyes. "I knew it. If this about puppy again, and the answer is still no."
"But they will enliven this quiet house." Ray said.
"It doesn't have to be pets. You can put music on, or I can sing instead. Maybe we should buy karaoke set, what do you think? It would be fun."
"But I want a puppy." Ray didn't give up.
"No, Ray."
"Yes." Ray insisted.
"No."
"Yes." Ray stopped her hands.
"I said no. No puppies, or cats, birds, turtles, or whatever in this house." Nami let out a cry when her wife pinched her shoulder. "Hey, what was that for?"
Ray took her pillow and lay down with her back facing the other woman.
Nami sighed and put the newspaper on nightstand before lying down. "I told you we can't have a pet. Why do you get the idea at sudden anyway?" When Ray didn't reply she leaned closer and reached her shoulder. But Ray shrugged her hand off. "Ray," She leaned over to look at her wife but a pillow hit her face instead. "Ray,"
"I'm mad at you."
Nami rolled her eyes. "C'mon Ray, honey, sweetie," She smiled when Ray turned her head. But the other woman grabbed the pillow from her and turned around again. Sighing she lay back. "Fine, don't talk to me, but no is no."
Ray hit the pillow pouting.
The second plan: failed.
Ray threw the file in her hand onto desk as the designer who sat beside her laughing. "I don't know what to do. She won't listen to me."
Asahi wiped tears from her eyes shaking her head. "But it surprised me that you can't convince her. Usually she will do whatever you say."
"I thought so." Ray added. Asahi laughed louder. "But this time she didn't." She crossed her arms leaning back against sofa. "Maybe I should give up about having puppy. But I want a puppy, like yours."
Asahi let out a breath clearing her throat. "Or maybe you should change your tactic."
"What do you mean?" Ray asked in confusion.
"You know, your special talent."
When she saw Asahi's wink a wide grin bloomed on her face. "Thanks." She thanked her precious designer. She would go with her last tactic. Well so far it never failed her.
"Anytime."
Meanwhile at BPD headquarter, Nami cleared her desk and bade goodbye to the detectives leaving bullpen. She was waiting for elevator when she heard Abigail's voice.
"You're leaving now?"
"Yup," Nami approached the ME. "How're you doing? You should go home early now."
"We're doing fine." Abigail said placing a hand over her belly. "But they need my help. Besides I can't just sit in my house do nothing."
Nami chuckled and looked down at Abigail's belly. "It looks bigger now."
"Yes, fifteen weeks now. Here," Abigail took the detective's hand and placed it on her belly.
"Wow," Nami said while caressing her doctor friend's belly. She couldn't help a smile.
"Sometimes she moves." Abigail said.
"It must be cute." Nami said still caressing Abigail's belly. Suddenly she wondered what it felt like if it was Ray's.
Upon looking small smile on the detective's face Abigail noticed what Nami was thinking. "You don't think to have one?"
Nami pulled her hand back and offered a smile. She and Ray were married for three years now, but they hadn't decided it yet. "I…" She rubbed the nape of her neck.
"Don't worry, you have plenty times." Abigail patted the younger woman's arm. "You should go, and say hello from me."
Nami nodded and caressed Abigail's belly once again before heading toward elevator. "See you tomorrow." She waved and pushed the down arrow. As the elevator moving down she leaned against the wall thinking of Abigail's question. Ray never said it but she knew her wife wanted a child. After all having children was every woman's dream. Maybe not every woman but mostly. But Ray said she won't mind if they have children or no. And she was happy with their life now. Although she wouldn't deny that she also wanted to hold baby, their baby in her arms. She let out a chuckle shaking her head. It must be Abigail's pregnancy that made her want to have a baby. She shook her head again smiling and stepped outside the elevator.
After finished her bath time, Nami put her short pants and tank top on before leaving bedroom. She found Ray at dining table waiting for her. They had their usual dinner, eating and chatting about their day.
After dinner, Nami was crouching on couch watching TV. She gulped her beer while watching baseball recorded game. When the batter missed the ball she let out a curse. She reached for her beer and took a gulp. However the next second she spilled the liquor out. She let out a cough and put the can on table looking up and down at her wife. Sexy wife.
Ray held a grin as Nami's eyes wandered over her body. "What do you think?"
"That…" Nami blinked twice and cleared her throat. "…looks…" She gulped. "…nice." She finally looked at the other woman's eyes. Ray had small grin plastered on her face. "Really nice." She blew a breath.
Ray's grin grew bigger upon seeing Nami was trying to keep her gaze at her. She then approached couch and straddled the other woman's lap. She noticed Nami gulped and licked her lower lip. "Nervous detective?"
"What?" Nami brought her eyes up to Ray's. She tried to composure herself. "Well, with that sheer nightgown you're wearing, you can't blame me." Ray let out a giggle but then pushed her back against the couch. "Okay, what happens tonight?" She grinned moving hands to Ray's side. But her wife took her wrists and held it against couch.
Ray leaned her head down whispering in Nami's ear. "You have dreadful days lately, just wanna help." She fought back a smile when Nami's grin grew bigger. When Nami tried to release her hands she added. "Don't move."
Nami knitted her brows but followed the order. She smiled when Ray started to kiss her earlobe and down to her neck. She tilted her head aside as Ray's soft lips trailed along her neck.
Ray was pleased to hear small hum from her wife. She knew her wife well, Nami wouldn't stand it. She would make her wife agree tonight. She then moved her hands to Nami's side and slowly up to her chest.
"Ray," It became harder to hold herself. She gripped the couch. Ray hummed between her kiss. Ray then moved to the other side trailing her lips over her neck. And soon she felt warm tongue against her skin and teeth followed. "Ray," Couldn't hold she moved her hand to Ray's waist.
When Ray felt Nami's hands she stopped. She then whispered in her wife's ear. "Don't move, or I stop."
Nami let out a groan of frustration and reluctantly pulled her hands back. But soon a moan escaped from her mouth as Ray's lips moving down to her chest. She felt Ray's fingers under her shirt caressing her belly. She shivered a little when Ray scratched her skin with her nails. She gripped the couch tightly as her wife once again attacked her neck. She wanted to touch the other woman badly but didn't dare to move. So she just sat there feeling both pleasure and torture.
Ray smiled a little against Nami's smooth skin. She could tell the other woman starting to get frustrated, as she has expected. She then moved a hand down to Nami's thigh. She ran her hand up and down Nami's thigh and bit the flesh of Nami's neck.
"Oh God, Ray," Nami gripped the couch, couldn't help a moan. She couldn't hold any longer. "Ray,"
Ray hummed and said against the skin. "What?" She left another bite.
"Can I move now?" Nami said between her moan. This woman was really torturing her.
"I told you, move then I'll stop."
When Ray lifted her shirt up and bit the flesh of her breast, she pushed her head back against couch. "You're torturing me."
Ray smiled a little. "You want me to stop?"
Nami shook her head swiftly. "No."
"You'll do whatever I say."
Nami nodded swiftly. "Anything."
Ray moved up and kissed Nami's ear before whispering. "Buy me a puppy."
Nami was torn apart between following her wife's wish or losing the pleasure. This woman really knew her very well. She let out a groan and snapped her eyes open. "Except that."
"No?" Ray confirmed. When Nami shook her head she leaned off and stood up.
"Where are you going?"
"Sleep." Ray said leaving her wife heading upstairs.
"Ray," Nami called but her wife ignored her. "What about the kiss?"
"I lost my mood." Ray said slamming the door behind.
Nami sighed and looked back at TV. But she couldn't focus thanks to her sexy wife to turn her on. She grabbed remote and turned the TV off following the other woman. She took door knob to open the door but it was locked. She knitted her brows. "Ray," She knocked the door. "Ray, open the door."
When there was still no answer Nami knocked again. "Ray, honey, open the door please." She knocked again. "Ray," She stepped backward and smiled when she heard Ray finally unlocked the door. She was disappointed a little to see Ray has changed her nightgown. "Where's your sexy gown?" Her smile vanished when Ray threw a pillow at her.
"Unfortunately my wife makes me lost my mood." Ray then closed the door and locked it.
"Ray, really? Where am I supposed to sleep?" Nami looked down at her pillow. "Come on Ray," She called again but her wife didn't open the door. "Fine, I can sleep at guest room or couch, but still NO puppies." Sighing she headed toward guest room.
Inside bedroom, Ray put pillow over her face and growled. She threw the pillow in frustration. 'Nami no baka!'
The third plan: sadly, failed.
Nami jumped out from the bed and ran toward door. She was late for her investigation this morning. She wondered why Ray didn't wake her. She then remembered her wife was mad at her. She ran toward their bedroom and was relieved to find the door open. She took a quick shower and ended up get ready twenty minutes later for her wife didn't prepare her change, for the first time since they married. She put her gun holder and badge on, grabbed her phone and rushed downstairs. She found Ray in dining room sipping her morning tea while reading newspaper.
"Morning." Nami greeted her wife but the other woman didn't greet back still holding her gaze at the newspaper. It seemed like Ray was still mad. Sighing she looked over the table and found a glass of water and an apple. She knitted her brows. "Where's my breakfast?" Ray turned her gaze and sent a look toward the glass and apple. "Just these, an apple and water?" Ray laid the newspaper down before handing a piece of paper to her.
Nami read the paper. It said: I'm not talking to you. She looked up at her wife. "You still mad at me? It's just a puppy. We have discussed about this."
Ray took the paper from Nami and wrote down before handing it back to Nami.
Nami read the paper. And it's just an apple. Don't eat if you don't like. She groaned in frustration. Ray was reading back her newspaper. "I hate apple." She put the paper down on table but then her stomach growled. Cursing mentally she grabbed the fruit, took a glance toward her wife, it seemed she wouldn't get her morning kiss, and left dining room.
Ray looked over the newspaper and pressed her lips together, couldn't help a giggle.
Since they didn't find another new clue for the murderer Owen decided she go home which she reluctantly followed. She was tired actually. However, when she arrived at her house she was reminded that a war, cold war, was waiting for her. Sighing she pushed the entrance door open and walked inside. She headed to kitchen and was surprised to find her wife cooking. She had actually thought Ray would leave her starving tonight.
Ray noticed the other woman's presence. "Hey, you're early today." She poured water for Nami.
"Owen decided we leave early." Nami took the glass from Ray. "You didn't put something, did you?"
Ray giggled and patted her wife's waist. "Don't be silly. You better take bath, dinner almost ready."
Nami was surprised, but happy, when Ray leaned in and gave a peck on her lips. She nodded and handed the cup to Ray before heading upstairs. She finished her bath and has dinner with her wife.
After finished dinner, they decided to watch movie. Nami sat at the end of couch while Ray was leaning on her, their usual position. "I thought you're still mad."
Ray giggled softly. "Yes, I am."
Nami turned her gaze to the woman in her arms. "But we can't…"
"You're right, we don't have time." Ray lifted her head to look at her wife. "Sorry I ignore you."
"It's okay." Nami smiled and kissed the older woman's forehead. They then turned their gaze back to TV enjoying their movie. However, ring sound from her phone disrupted their time. She reached over and took her phone from coffee table. It was Owen. "Kawachi…they found him?...Okay, I'm going now."
Ray leaned off and sat up. "Emergency?"
"They've got the murderer, I must go." Ray nodded and she stood up leaving to bedroom. She changed her clothes and took her badge and gun. She then left bedroom heading toward living room. "Sorry, but I promise come home when it finish."
"It's alright. Be careful okay?" She stood on her knee when Nami leaned for a kiss. "You bring your key?"
Nami nodded. "Don't stay too late." Ray nodded and smiled. She smiled back and turned around. But then she stopped and looked back at the other woman. Now she realized why her wife wanted a puppy. A companion. She let out a small breath and turned around. Perhaps she should reconsider about the idea again.
Ray was preparing dinner when she heard Nami's voice. "You're late today." She turned the fire off and took a bowl.
"Yes, got something to do." Nami approached her wife. "We have guest tonight."
"Guest?" Ray put the bowl on kitchen counter and turned to her wife. Nami was grinning widely at her, hiding something behind her back. Her eyes widened when Nami showed the guest. "Nami, that's…" She kneeled down when Nami released the puppy and caught it in her arms. "A puppy?"
"Why, you don't like it?" Nami approached her wife and kneeled before her.
"Of course I like it. But I thought you don't agree we have puppy." Ray turned her gaze when the puppy licked her chin.
"Well, let's say I changed my mind. She likes you immediately."
"She's so cute." Ray giggled and kissed the Labrador retriever puppy.
"Hey, she's my wife." Nami said to the small dog. She chuckled when Ray turned to her narrowing her eyes slightly. "But it's true. I need to remind her."
Ray shook her head and turned to the puppy in her arms. "What is her name?"
"She hasn't got it yet, so, you should name her."
"Kai." Ray let out a small laugh when Nami pouted. "Just kidding, Shiro then."
"Shiro?"
"Because she's white." Ray said and saw Nami laughed.
"Sometimes I really wonder if you're the advisor of Hamilton boutique."
"Hey," Ray pinched Nami's arm and turned her gaze when Shiro let out a cute yap. "That's so cute, Shiro."
Nami couldn't help a smile upon seeing Ray adored the small dog. Ray then turned to her and smiled.
"Thank you Nami."
Nami shrugged a little. "I'm glad you like it." Her smile turned to a grin when Ray leaned in and kissed her lips. They parted when Shiro let out a small bark. "See, she's trying to take your attention from me."
"You're just jealous," Ray said to her wife and turned to the puppy. "Right Shiro?"
"Okay, I'm good, but she won't sleep with us."
"Finally, I can have an off." Nami said and threw grape into her mouth.
Ray brushed the other woman's long hair with her fingers as they enjoyed their off day. After Nami finished her investigation she decided they have a picnic. Now with the other member in their family. She turned her gaze and saw Shiro was playing with a ball. "Shiro."
"Can you stop calling her, I'm talking to you."
Ray turned to her pouting wife and pinched Nami's cheek. Nami let out a chuckle grinning.
"Just kidding. But she's smart. I like her too."
"Well, you have good eyes." Ray said.
"I am." Nami replied and chuckled when Ray pinched her cheek again. She then sat up. "Shiro c'mere." She caught the puppy and caressed her neck. "Good girl." She looked up when Ray took their picture.
"You two look cute." Ray giggled.
Nami released the puppy and let her play with her toys. She then reached for the other woman and pulled her to lean against her. She put her chin on Ray's head watching Shiro ran after the ball. They laughed when Shiro stumbled over the ball. She took Ray's hand and kissed her head. "I'm ready."
"Ready? For what?" Ray asked.
"Having a baby." Nami replied tightening her hug but Ray leaned off and sat up.
Ray looked into her wife's brown eyes. She pursed her lips and looked down at their lacing hands before bringing her gaze up to Nami's eyes. "We can wait."
Nami shook her head. "Well, there are many things I still think we need to prepare, but, I want you to know that I'm ready. Hey," She took Ray's cheeks when the other woman started to cry. "Why are you crying?"
"Sorry, it's just…" Ray wiped tears from her eyes and smiled. "Thank you."
"You know, I think we should stop thanking for every single little thing."
"Still, I want to thank you." Ray said and covered the hands on her cheeks.
"I won't mind a kiss." Nami winked and saw the other woman giggled. Ray then leaned in and kissed her lips. She felt glances from the other park visitors but ignored them. Ray let out a giggle between their kiss when she pulled her closer. But they had to part away when Shiro threw herself onto their laps. "Okay this is the rule." She said to Shiro. "Rule number one, she's my wife."
Ray giggled looking between her wife and their puppy.
"Rule number two, no interruption during kiss or..." Nami tilted her head aside. "You got it?" When Shiro let out a small bark she kissed the puppy's nose.
Ray couldn't help a laugh seeing Nami was trying to talk with Shiro.
"Good girl, now go and give us some private time." Nami patted the puppy's head lightly and watched as Shiro ran to her toys waggling her tail. "I think she likes me now."
Ray laughed and shook her head. She then took Nami's shirt collar pulling her closer. "So, I wonder what we're gonna have for the private time?"
"Play card?"
