Having Baby Part 2

Digital clock on desk rang five times as it showed five o'clock. Ray put her pen back on its stand after signing document file. She gathered the files and placed it together with other files on her desk. She rubbed the bridge of her nose as she felt her eyes tired from reading bunch of documents. She was about to reach for her purse when there was a call from her secretary. "Yes Linda?"

'You have guest Ma'am.'

"Guest?" Ray knitted her brows. "I don't have appointment today, and now is five. Tell them to make an appointment first."

'But Ma'am…'

"You heard me Linda." She heard small chuckle from another person before ending the call. She rose from her chair and took her jacket suit. She rounded her desk putting the jacket suit on. "Where's my phone?" She spotted it under document file. "There you are." Putting it into her jacket suit pocket she was about to turn around when a pair of arms took her waist. She knew the person immediately.

"Do I need to make an appointment to meet my wife?"

Ray giggled turning around in the hug. She put arms around her smiling wife's neck. "Well, you know the procedure."

Nami pressed her lips nodding. "Okay, I wish for appointment tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow, and the day after, and…" Ray giggled and leaned to peck her lips.

"I thought you're at work now." She glanced at her wristwatch. "It's still five."

"I worried about my pregnant wife, and thought to go home together."

"That's very nice of you." Ray grinned and leaned for a kiss. Suddenly the door swung open.

Nami quickly released her wife stepping back when Ray's secretary came in. She just offered an awkward smile.

"I-I'm really sorry Ma'am, I will, just…"

"What is it?" Ray asked her secretary trying to hide her annoyance.

"I just want to give this file."

Nami scratched her brow smiling watching as Linda handed the file to Ray before hastily leaving the room. "Your secretary just caught us now."

"Don't worry, she'll get used." Ray laid the file on desk.

Nami just shook her head at the reply and Ray's smirk. "What if she makes gossip?"

"About me kissing my sexy wife in my office? I don't mind it."

Nami narrowed her eyes at her grinning innocently wife. Ray took her arm and they headed door. "Next time perhaps I need to disguise."

"That's a good idea. How about you dress like ikemen host? "

"Really, a host?" Nami raised an eyebrow. Ray nodded grinning. "I shouldn't put the idea in your head."

...

Ray pressed her lips smiling while watching her wife. Nami was busy with preparing dinner. Since her pregnancy Nami had been doing it instead. Although she knew her wife must be tired from her work but Nami insisted. She sent another wink and giggled when Nami glanced at her. "You sure don't want my help?"

"I can handle this, you just need to sit and wait," Nami wriggled her brows assuredly and reached for pan with bare hand, unaware. "Atttchii!" She ran to sink to cold down her hand.

"You alright?" Ray asked worriedly.

Nami offered a smile while grimacing. "Yeah, just burnt my hand."

Ray let out laugh approaching her wife. "Let me help you."

"No, no," Nami stopped her wife and pushed her back to chair. "I told you I can handle this. Besides, you need rest."

"That's what I'm doing all day." Ray said.

"Good, finally you listen to me." Nami giggled when her wife pinched her belly. She took Ray's hands and brought it to her lips. "I want to do something for you too. You always do this," She waved hand toward kitchen. "Stuff, so now it's my turn."

"I'm not sick, Nami." Ray pulled the other woman closer. "Just pregnant."

"That's why you shouldn't do anything too much," Nami tapped her stubborn wife's nose. "Because you are carrying our child, seven months."

Ray looked down as her wife placed a hand over her stomach. She was more than happy when Nami leaned head down for a kiss. Her hands nestled on Nami's jaw as she deepened the kiss. "Nami,"

Nami made a hum in throat but keeping their lips connected. She felt something leaned against her right leg, and as she expected it was Shiro trying to get their attention. She ignored Shiro's bark for she was busy with her wife.

"Nami…"

A moan.

"…stew…"

A hum.

"…burnt…"

Nami made another hum while moving her lips against Ray's. But when the burnt smell reached her nose she forced eyes open. "My stew."

Ray giggled seeing her panic wife trying to move pan from stove with bare hands, and of course burnt her hands again. "Use the gloves."

Following her wife advice she grabbed kitchen gloves. She wondered why she didn't notice it before. "Not my department." Ray laughed. She crinkled her nose at her failed masterpiece. Throwing the gloves back she turned around. "Wanna eat pizza?"

Ray let out a laugh before nodding.

After dinner and bathed, Nami decided to watch TV while waiting her wife. Ray was taking bath. She gulped down her beer looking for sitcom. Finally found interest one she leaned comfortably against couch.

"Nami,"

Nami took a gulp before replying. "Yes?" She let out a laugh continuing watching.

"Nami,"

"Coming," At the second call Nami left living room. She pushed door open and eyes went wider to find Ray leaning on bed trying to get up from floor. "Ray," She ran in panic to Ray's side. "Are you alright? What happened?" She helped Ray to sit on bed, her panic increased seeing Ray's slight pale face. "Ray,"

"I feel dizzy." Ray leaned against her wife. "I called you."

"I'm sorry." Nami felt guilty for leaving her wife. Sometimes Ray had dizziness. She shouldn't leave her wife alone. "Now you still feel dizzy?" Ray nodded. "Should we see a doctor?"

Ray shook her head. "I think lie down is enough." Nami helped her to lie on bed before leaving their bedroom. She let out a breath while trying to find comfortable position, although she could only lie on her back. Moment later Nami came back with glass of water.

"Drink this." Nami sat beside her wife on bed. After Ray took a gulp she put the glass on nightstand. "You need something else?" Ray shook her head. "Let's sleep then." She walked round the bed to the other side. She drew blanket to cover their bodies.

"Hug me."

Nami chuckled at her wife's request. "C'mere." She laid an arm under Ray's head while the other one over Ray's bump belly. "It's okay?" Ray nodded smiling widely. "You know what changes after your pregnancy, beside your belly?"

"What?"

"You're become more childish lately." Nami chuckled as Ray pushed lips out pouting. "Yes, like now."

"I want to be hugged. It's the baby not me." Ray excused.

"That's just an excuse, I know."

Ray pinched her laughing wife's nose. "I like your smell. It makes me calm." She brought hand up to Nami's chest.

"Well, you can have it as much as you want. Even the moon I will take for you if you want it." Nami winked.

"I don't need the moon when I have the sun here."

Nami laughed. "Where did you get that? I like it." Ray giggled. "Still dizzy?" Ray shook her head. "Let's sleep, you need rest."

Ray took a breath closing her eyes. "You will come home early tomorrow?"

"As soon as I finish my work." Nami placed a kiss over her wife's head. "Good night."

"Good night."

"Kawachi, done with your report?"

"Right here." Nami showed her finished report to Owen. The older detective let out a sigh which meant he hadn't done yet. "By the way, Lieutenant was asking you."

Owen slumped on his chair. "I better finish mine before he comes."

"Good luck." Nami grinned at her senior.

"How is she doing? Six months now?" Owen asked.

"Seven. She is doing fine." Nami replied.

"I still can't believe you'll become a mother. Do you know how to raise a child?" Owen teased the younger detective.

"I have the books." Nami replied and got a laugh from him. "What? At least I'm trying to learn."

"You can ask me anything." Owen patted his chest.

Nami raised an eyebrow teasing back. "Ah, I forgot you're a father too." She let out a laugh seeing Owen's narrowed-eyes. But ringtone of her phone got her attention. She knitted her brows as she read the number. "Kawachi," She got panic at sudden at the reply. "Is she alright? How is she?...Thank God, I'm coming now…yes…thank you."

"What's wrong?" Owen got up from his chair.

"It's from Satou. Ray fainted and now at hospital." Nami replied.

"Is she alright?"

"The doctor says yes, she is alright now, but he wants to meet me."

"You should go now." Owen said.

Nami nodded. "See you tomorrow." After bade goodbye she trotted toward elevator. Usually it would take at least thirty minutes to hospital but it felt like hours. During her driving she would glance at her phone every minute. When she arrived at hospital Satou had been waiting for her.

"Did you call Andrew?" Nami asked the bodyguard.

"Yes, he is flying back from New York now." Satou replied.

Nami gave a nod. "I will see you later." Satou gave a bow before leaving.

"Mrs. Kawachi,"

Nami turned around when someone greeted her. A man with white robe was standing behind her. "Yes." She held a hand out to shake his.

"Your wife is fine, but there is something I need to talk."

Nami knitted her brows slightly and followed the doctor inside his room. At moment she prayed to God that Ray and their baby would be fine. Her hands were already wet by sweat as she seated on chair before the doctor.

Ray let out small groan lifting eyelids. She got confused a little as she stared at ceiling. It looked different from their bedroom. 'Where am I?' She felt a hand over her and turned her head. Her lips curled up in smile when she found Nami laid her head on bed beside her holding her hand. She lifted her other hand to push locks from Nami's forehead.

Nami was awakened by the gentle touch over her head. "Hey, you're awake."

Ray nodded smiling. "You look tired."

"Just sleepy." Nami let out a yawn. She put her other hand over Ray's looking back at her wife. "How are you feeling?"

"A little exhausted." Ray looked around at the room. "Where are we?"

"Hospital." Nami replied. "You fainted at your work chamber. Satou found you and brought you here." She squeezed Ray's hand. "You shouldn't do work."

"I'm sorry." Ray offered an apologetic smile. She looked down and was relieved to see her bump belly.

"Ray,"

"Yes?" Ray looked back at her wife. She immediately noticed concern in Nami's eyes.

Nami opened her mouth but then licked her lips. "Do you need drink or fruits…"

"Nami, what is it?" Ray started to get worried as Nami avoided her eyes. "Nami tell me." She gulped in anxious watching her wife taking long breath.

"There is something I need to tell you." Nami pursed her lips.

"Is it about our baby? Something wrong with my baby?" Tears already watered her eyes.

"Ray," Nami quickly stood up from chair reaching for her wife.

"I'm sorry Nami, I shouldn't...I'm sorry,"

Nami didn't expect her wife will be crying out. "That was joke Ray," She took Ray's cheek. "Our baby is fine, healthy, nothing happened, okay?" Ray finally calmed down. "I'm just kidding." She tilted her head offering a smile, but the next second let out a cry of pain.

"Nami!" Ray pinched her wife's arm but after sending punches.

"I'm sorry Ray, I'm sorry, Ray!"

Ray finally released her wife's arm. She took pillow and threw it at her wife. "That's not funny."

Nami let out small laugh and earned her another punch on shoulder. "I'm sorry."

Ray folded arms before chest, ignored her wife. She took glance and saw Nami pushed lips out.

"Forgive me?" She nudged Ray's arm. "Babe," Her wife was still avoiding her. "Honey, please."

Ray once again took a glance and pressed her lips to fight a smile upon seeing Nami's puppy eyes. But she threw gaze aside clearing her throat to hide her giggle.

Nami curled lips down pouting. "That's not good joke, I'm sorry." She lifted gaze when Ray suddenly let out a cry. "Ray, what's wrong? Ray," She got panic seeing Ray holding her stomach crying in pain. "Hold on, I will call…" Ray's sudden laugh got her dumbfounded.

Ray had to lean against headboard from her laugh. Her wife's puzzle face made her laugh louder.

Nami inhaled a deep breath raising an eyebrow. "Now you are putting me on, good, okay."

"You start it." Ray shrugged before once again bursting to laugh at her wife's annoyed face.

"Good acting by the way, still mine is better."

"Be careful." Nami helped her wife to sit on couch before taking her side.

"It becomes bigger now, it's nine now, right?" Asahi looked at Ray's stomach.

"Yes, and two weeks." Ray replied her designer and took Nami's hand.

"It's soon then." Hinata asked after sipping her tea. "You're going to be mother, huh?" She teased Nami.

"I can't wait." Nami replied glancing lovingly at her wife.

"Speaking of being a mother, how about you two?" Ray asked the other women. Asahi cleared her throat while Hinata once again sipping her tea.

"Actually," Asahi and Hinata said at once.

"Actually what?" Nami glanced at her wife before looking back at her two friends.

"Wait, you two…?" Ray was confirmed when she saw their smile.

"What? Why are you smiling?" Nami looked at Asahi and Hinata and turned to her wife before looking back at her friends. Hinata raised an eyebrow and finally she realized it. "You are pregnant?" When the two nodded she ran throwing herself at them.

Ray could only chuckle at her spot on couch seeing the former idols having group hug. If she wasn't carrying a baby in her belly she would join them.

"Congratulations!" Nami released her best friends.

"Wait, you're pregnant too?" Asahi asked Hinata.

"And you too?" Hinata questioned back.

Ray laughed watching the three were once again in group hug.

"I'm really happy for you, both of you." Nami said after leaned off.

"Thanks." Asahi couldn't wipe her delighted grin.

"We're gonna be mothers." Hinata wriggled her brows and they laughed.

"But it's really amazing though, you got pregnant at same time." Ray said.

"Two weeks now." Asahi placed a hand over her belly.

"Why didn't Leon tell me? Tomorrow I'll have a present for him." Nami said with a smirk on face, she planned to punch the man for keeping it from her.

"I asked him to keep it secret, I want to tell you myself." Asahi tried to save her husband since she knew what Nami were going to do.

"Lucky him." Nami then turned to her lawyer friend. "And you?"

"Just knew it couple of days ago." Hinata grinned.

"Shane must be really happy, he always wants a baby." Ray said.

"Oh you know him, he jumped and screamed like a kid, even called everyone already to tell my pregnancy." Hinata said and they laughed.

"We are going to be parents!" Nami said excitedly. Asahi and Hinata joined in.

"Nami,"

Asahi who noticed the small cry turned her head. Ray was holding her stomach wincing in pain. She patted Nami's arm to get her attention. "Nami, I think it's the time."

"Ray!"

...

"You can do it Ray, it will be alright." Nami held her crying wife's hand tightly. "It will be okay."

"No, it's not!" Ray lifted head crying in pain. "Nami!"

Nami got panic seeing Ray shivering. "Ray," She tightened her grip while wiping sweats from Ray's face. "How long will it take?" She asked the nurses who handle the labor.

"She needs to push more. Take deep breath and push."

Ray did as she was told pushing as hard as she could. She took another breath and pushed harder. "Nami!"

"The head's coming, keep breathing and pushing."

"I'm here, I'm here." Nami leaned her head against Ray's encouraging her wife. Ray gripped her hand breathing in and out. Although at the moment she wanted to cry seeing the woman she loved suffering, but she held herself. "You can do it, I know you can, I'm here." Ray nodded between her cries and screamed out giving the last push.

Ray threw head down and cry of baby echoed inside labor room. Tears of joy flowed out as she heard the voice. She felt really exhausted and at the same time delighted.

"You did great, you did great." Nami kissed Ray's head before wiping the rolling down tear.

Nami left the room to tell their waiting families and friends while Ray had been treated for the last process of labor. Andrew noticed her first before the other following him.

"How is it?" Andrew asked.

"Are they fine?" Asahi asked.

"How is Ray?" Hinata asked.

"Tell me they are okay." William added.

Nami looked at her brother-in-law with his wife, her best friends with their husbands, her grandfather-in-law and her parents.

"How are they Nami? I'm starting to have panic attack now."

At her father impatient look she gave a nod and smile. "They are fine, I have a healthy son." Asahi, Hinata and Abigail screamed out. Her parents enveloped her in tight hug. She got hug from Andrew and his grandfather. Shane and Leon patted her shoulders giving thumbs up.

"Mrs. Kawachi, you can enter now."

A nurse called her and Nami left her still delighted families and friends. Her heart started to pound inside her chest as she brought her feet in the room. On the bed, Ray was lying with a baby wrapped in white blanket. She couldn't find the perfect word to describe what she felt at the moment.

Ray turned her head and found her wife standing before door. "Why are you standing there? Come here."

Nami blinked to fight tears approaching her wife and their newborn baby. She stood beside the bed gazing down at them. Her family.

"What's wrong?" Ray couldn't help a smile seeing her wife's stunned expression. "Are you crying?"

Nami wiped tears from eyes smiling. "I just…"

"Happy." Ray finished her wife's sentence. Nami nodded before sitting on bed beside her. "He really looks like you."

Nami brought gaze to their baby and let out a chuckle. She touched his red and chubby cheek. "Yes, he does." Their son looked exactly like her when she was baby. She giggled when he yawned licking his lips.

"You know, he reminds me of someone." Ray looked back at her wife.

Nami knitted her brows in confusion for a moment but then realized it. She couldn't help a laugh. "Ah, I see. Yeah, he does." Ray giggled. "I bet they will bombard me with question about his name, so, can you tell me his name now?"

Ray chuckled. They had known that she was carrying a son but she wanted to name the baby by herself and kept it secret from everyone, even Nami. "You want to know?" Nami pinched her cheek playfully. "Kai."

"I knew it." Nami exclaimed.

"Ssh, you will wake him."

"Sorry," Nami lowered her tone. "I've thought you will use that name when doctor said it's a boy."

Ray giggled. "Why, it's my first love's name."

"Your first and last love's name is Nami." Nami corrected but then crinkled her brows. "But we met when I was Kai, you're right."

Ray chuckled. "So, you agree with the name?"

Nami caressed her son's chin nodding. "Of course, it's my name too, fake though." They laughed. "So, his name is Kai." Ray nodded smiling. "Kai Charles."

"Charles?" Ray asked and Nami wriggled her brows. "I like it, Charles." She turned to look at their sleeping son.

Nami laid head down over Ray's and looked at their newborn son. "Kai Charles Hamilton-Kawachi."

Four years later

Ray poured coffee into a mug, Nami's mug, and walked to dining room. "Okay, everything's ready." She smiled in satisfaction. She glanced at wall clock, it showed seven thirty. "Time to wake them up." Smiling she headed to upstairs.

As she has thought they were still under blanket. She approached bed and sat upon bed. She drew blanket down a little. Nami's brown hair covered half of her face. "Morning," She whispered in Nami's ear but only got a hum. "It's morning already. Time to wake up, we have trip today." Nami once again made a mumble still keeping eyes close. Her lips curled up in smirk as a thought came across her head. "I'm thinking to have bath together."

"Now?" Nami forced eyes open but then narrowed it seeing Ray had already dressed up. Ray pushed tongue out and she pulled the older woman down to lie with her. "I'm thinking to sleep together."

Ray giggled placing palm over Nami's cheek. "If you don't get ready now, we're going to be late."

"Sleepy." Nami mumbled. She grinned when Ray pecked her lips. "Still sleepy." She pushed head up to kiss her wife but another voice disturbed them.

"Mommy, is it morning already?"

"Morning honey." Ray kissed Kai's head. He let out big yawn rubbing his sleepy eyes. "Why don't you get dress? Your favorite pancake is waiting." He grinned widely still closing eyes. She then pulled blanket down revealing another sleeping one. "Time to wake up sweetie."

...

Two years ago

"Ray!"

"Hold on Nami, it will be soon over." Ray held her wife's hand encouraging. "Do something. Don't you see she is in pain?" She said to nurses.

"It's normal Ma'am, the transition…"

"I know it's normal, I've ever been one before." Ray cut in glaring at them. "But can you do something to make it pain less?"

"Ray, it hurts..." Nami started to cry. Her body was wet by sweat as she kept pushing and breathing.

"Nami, look at me." Ray took her wife's cheeks. "Just a little bit, and it will be over. I'm here with you."

"But it hurts!" Nami let out another scream in pain. "Oh my God,"

"Keep pushing, almost there. Take deep breath, and push, harder."

"I'm trying!" Nami said in frustration.

Ray never let go her wife's hand. She knew well how it felt, and seeing Nami in pain made tear come to her eyes. "I love you." That was the only thing she could think at moment. Nami screamed out and the next moment there was cry of baby."You did great job detective." Ray smiled caressing Nami's cheek with her thumb.

"I think once is enough." Nami smiled but then wincing.

Ray giggled and kissed her wife's forehead. A nurse came with the baby. She couldn't help tear gazing at their newborn daughter. "She has your nose and lips."

"I'm actually worried she will take my brother's face." Nami chuckled when Ray cocked her head "And she has your chin."

Ray nodded. "So, what is her name?" For the second child Nami would give the name.

Nami gazed at the tiny baby in her arm smiling. "Mirai." She looked back at her wife. "What do you think?"

"I like it." Ray smiled. "And for the middle, may I?" Nami nodded. "Victoria."

"That's pretty name." Nami looked down at their daughter. "Mirai Victoria."

"Hamilton-Kawachi." Ray added. They chuckled when Mirai let out small hum as if she also agreed with the name.

...

Present

Ray giggled watching her daughter crouching for better position. "Mommy has strawberry for your breakfast." She poked her belly. "With cream." Mirai opened an eye yawning.

"Sleepy."

Ray chuckled at the reply. She brushed her little daughter's hair placing a kiss over her chubby cheek.

"Still."

Ray couldn't help a giggle turning head to look at her wife behind. Nami pushed body up leaning on an elbow nodding in proud.

"Yeah, my child."

"I won't get surprised if she starts to climb a tree."

Nami laughed before pulling her wife against her and looked at their son and daughter who still resisted to getting up. "Look at them, they are so adorable."

Ray reached for her wife's hand that placed over her belly intertwining their fingers. "He has resemblance to you,"

"But sometimes won't listen to me, and irresistible, just like you." Nami chuckled when her wife pinched her arm. "And she is your replica."

Ray giggled. "Still two years old but I can see her tomboyish character, just like you." She patted Nami's nose. "And what surprised me is they love to sing." Nami nodded in agreement.

"But I won't let them become an idol."

"Why not?" Ray looked up at her wife. "They inherit our love for singing."

"What if they got a crazy shachou and have to disguise? You have no idea how difficult it is."

"There are normal producers too, but good point." Ray let out a laugh looking back at their children. "Kai, Mirai, time to wake up. We're going to grandpa's cottage today, remember?" They would go to her parents cottage. Asahi and Hinata with their family will join them. Asahi had a son while Hinata a daughter.

"There is big lake, many boats," Nami added. It made the two open their eyes.

"Boat? Is it big?"

"Not so big, but we can get on and see around the lake." Ray replied her already get excited daughter.

"It means we can see fish?"

"Of course." Nami said to her son. "We can do fishing to."

"I wanna do fishing! I wanna do fishing!"

"Me too! Me too!"

Nami and Ray laughed watching their children jumped over bed in excitement. "Why don't you get ready now, so we can go?"

"Okay!" Kai grinned and took his sister's hand. "Let's go." Once they were off of bed he turned to his mothers. "Why don't moms get ready too?"

"Oh, your mommy and mamma have something to do first." Nami said to their children winking at her wife. Ray narrowed her eyes slightly. "Now, get ready, and we're going for fishing!"

"Yey!"

Ray chuckled seeing Kai leading his sister to bathroom. Clearing her throat she looked up at her wife. "Something to do? I wonder what it is." Nami raised an eyebrow smirking.

"I want my morning kiss."

Ray was more than happy to grant the wish. "But they'll see us."

"We have few minutes." Nami inhaled in her wife's breath. However before their lips could meet there were calls from bathroom.

"Mom, I can't take my toothbrush."

"And where's my comb?"

Nami laughed leaning head over Ray's. "Hold a sec," She said toward bathroom and then looked back at her wife. "Later?"

"No." Ray said after pushed her wife and got off from bed. "You better get ready too." She giggled at Nami's pouting face. She let out small yelp when Nami grabbed her waist and they headed bathroom to their waiting children.

"Moms coming!"
