They continued on walking through the dark woods that belonged to Red Queen territory. Every step sent ghost bumps up the Hatter's spine.
"Are we there yet?" Lucy started to groan, one of two reasons.
One- she hated heights.
Two- they had been walking for hours, well the Hatter had been walking Lucy was bobbing up and down in his pocket.
"Yes, yes. Almost there" The Hatter had a smile like the Cheshire cat Lucy bumped into before.
"You said that before." Lucy just got in a comfy position just before the Hatter came to a complete stop.
"OUCH!"
"Oh, did I?" The Hatter had a confused look on his face.
"YES! And the time before that AND the time before that" Lucy struggled getting up but once she did she climbed out of his pocket and onto his shoulder.
"I'm sorry my dear it seems as if I may have taken a wrong turn back there.
"Well I never," She said sarcastically.
"How long have you been away from the White Queen anyway?" Lucy brushed herself down and looked up to see the Hatter's goofy grin which agitated her so much. But instead she found herself looking at the face of a man who never wanted to remember such a thing.
"Hatter?"
"Yes my dear" he shook his head and went back to a dopey idiot.
"Are you alright?" Lucy walked further up his shoulder till she was and arms length from his chin. Well her little arms length anyway.
"Yes why wouldn't I be?" He looked round to her then straight after gave her a toothy grin. Lucy wasn't convinced.
"Let's go this way."
"THAT'S THE WAY WE CAME!"
At the Red Queens castle five butlers were lined up in the throne room awaiting her majesty.
~BANG~
The doors were slammed open.
"WHO STOLE MY STRAWBERRY SPOUNGE CAKE!?" The Red Queen came forward with an extremely angry face, she was so angry her face had gone red. Everyone in the room stiffened as the Red Queen stepped forward. And with every step you could hear her shoes clicking the floor heading over to the Butlers waiting by the pillars which held up an enormous ceiling. (Did I mention they were frogs? No well now you know.) The Red Queen walked up to the first Butler.
"Was it you?" she bent down so she could become face to face. The queen was so close that the butler could see her deep dark soul.
"No... No you're ummm, majesty" The queen stood back up and looked at the frog then moved onto the next.
"How about you? Did you steal my cake?" The queen once again came down to their level and looked him deeply in the eye.
"No your Majesty" said butler number two whilst shaking his head.
"Hm" she got back up and walked over to number three. She looked over at him then shifted her eyes over to number five who was staring at his flipper feet. She smiled and walked past the rest and came face to face with the frog.
"Was it you?" She smiled sweetly and waited for his response.
"Umm, No your majesty" he had a slightly high voice. She looked to the corner of his lips.
(Gulp)
Sweat began to slide its way down his face and his eyes were bouncing around as the Red Queen looked at him. She raised her finger and brought it to the right corner of his lips, and slid her finger across.
"I don't like liars" she smiled stood up and brought her finger to her lips.
"Ummm, strawberry" she looked down at the frog lifted her arm and pointed her finger toward the butler.
"Please. No your majesty, please wait I can explain."
"OFF WITH HIS HEAD!" Red card guards came over grabbed an arm each and dragged him towards the door.
"Wait please I have a wife and kids that need to be fed please spare me." The queen looked away as if it was a fly on a wall. The doors shut behind them and the room fell to silence as they watched her sit down on her throne. She looked up at then, stared at them and simply said,
"GET OUT NOW," They all rushed out, neither of them wanted to face the cruelness of the Red Queen.
"AND BRING ME ANOTHER STRAWBERRY SPOUNGE CAKE!"
"NOW!"
