"Why couldn't is had been shorts instead of a skirt. Well, you get what you're given Lucy. You get what you're given." Lucy was climbing over vines of all shapes and sizes in order to get the red queens castle. She was walking through a knotted mess from has high as the eye could see to her feet and she could neither see how long it stretched. Lucy ad been walking for over two hours now and the castle didn't look any closer,

"UURRGGGHHH! This isn't working! How can people live here if they don't get to were they're heading?!" She slumped down on a nearby rock and took of her left boot and began rubbing her feet, hissing at the pain.

"Well it depends where you wanna go and if you're going in the right direction..." The blondes eyes widened as she looked around for the person who had just spoken to her.

"W-who's there?"

"Who do you want it to be?" The voices were surrounding her.

"Someone who makes sense and is not a complete and utter loon!" She raised her hands in the hair and shook them vigorously.

"Well then wrong choice then." There was a moment of silence then a figure stepped forward, it was a human sized figure so Lucy was glad about that.

It stepped into view and it was a female figure, wearing a pink dress with another- shade- of –pink ribbon across the front. She walked with elegance and pride so she must be a noble. Mist began to cover their feet as she came into full view, Lucy could now see her face; her blonde hair was tied up on a bun and her face was a work of art, so poised and graceful,

"M-mother?!" Lucy gaped at the sight in front of her. He long lost dead mother, who had been dead for six years now, was stood in front of her.

"Hello, Lucy dear. Oh I have missed you so." She spoke gently and quietly and with a smile. Lucy wasted no time and ran straight to her and embraced her, holding her close and not letting go.

"But you're- you are..."

"Dead? Yes I know. In Eathland I am a mere spirit but here in wonderland I am a voice of guidance and able to appear to those who need me." Lucy couldn't hold back her tears any longer. One by one liquid began to stream down her face. Lucy's mother looked into her eyes,

"You have it."

"Have what?" Lucy looked back with confusion,

"I don't have much time but, deep inside you there is light, light that will guide us to the stars so we may sleep another day,"

"What does that mean?"

"You will know in due time. But with that light comes great darkness that desires to trap what's inside and lock it away. You must not let that happen, Lucy don't let that happen."

"Lock it away? Do you mean my memory?" Lucy's mother just nodded.

"The red queen possesses hatred for anything with magic. Many of your friends who possessed power were killed after she stole your memory of Wonderland six years ago, that is why you never returned."

"But I still had dreams..."

"No you had memories, my dear. When I found out about what she had done, I came here, here to Wonderland to see if I could stop her. Sadly I could not. To repay me for what I had done she took all my light away, thus lead to my passing." There was a moment of silence, the fog got thicker and began to rise.

"I don't have much time now, but all I can say is the way back will lead to doom, the way forward will lead to safety, to the left is right and the way right is not." Her speech faded along with her and left Lucy running around searching for her mother, calling out her name,

"MOTHER!" Tears ran down her cheeks in big groups, the blonde dropped to the floor and cupped her face, concealing in the scream that she had built up through the years, built up with the pain and agony of missing her, wanting her beside her.

"Bring him in." The queen demanded. Doors opened and revealed two red card guards holding thick chains that held a man in strange clothing and messy pink locks. They began to walk through the court room, passing many high ranking people, whom stared down onto the prisoner until her got below the steps that lead to the queen.

"Hello, HATTER!" she glared daggers to him but the hatter didn't blink nor flinch.

"Down," She tilted her eyebrows slightly.

"With," Even more so now along with a light shade of red.

"The," She stood and slowly walked down the steps.

"BLOODY!" The court began to mumble amongst each other. The queen quickened her pace.

"SHUT UP! Hatter if I were you I would finish that sentence." She threatened. The hatter just smiled,

"Try me. DOWN WITH THE BLOODY. RED. QUEEN!" Gasps were heard throughout the room followed by a very loud sound, a sound of contact. For the queen slapped the hatters face, leaving a red hand mark on his left cheek. He was knocked in the direction of the hit and soon hit the floor.

"I could quite easily take your head off right now!" She grabbed his ear and brought it to her lips.

"Why don't you do it then?" He tested. Smug in his answer he smiled. The queen soon smiled after which caused him to lose his.

"Because your bait." She pushed his head away and began to walk back to her throne. Once she reached her throne she looked back and gave a even bigger smile,

"Bait for our friend Lucy. I mean she's lost in the valley of tangled vines and need a little push to get out." A lacrima appeared showing Lucy Pushing herself through vines.

"Lucy!" Hatter pushed his way forward but was quickly pulled back.

"Tch. Tch. Tch. Naughty boy. Anyway, she looking for something but heading in the wrong direction so she just needs a little help."

"Leave her alone!" The queen stood once more.

"We both know I can't do that. ROUGUE!" From the shadows a man appeared wearing black amour with a single red heart on his chest.

"Help our little friend find her way home." She waved him off.

"Yes your majesty." In a puff of smoke the once black night now appeared as a spitting image of the hatter. He looked towards the original and smirked, walking down the steps he kept eye contact. In his hands in held a hat, the hat in which belonged to the hatter.

"She'll never fall for it." He spat but Rougue just laughed and continued to walk past.

"Once she's dealt with we can all live in peace." The queen breathed out smiling to herself.

"We will never live in peace as long as you're on the throne. If you don't really need me then why spare my life?" The Hatter began to growl under his breath. The queen smiled and stared out the window. In the distance she could see a half human half bird like think flying away from the castle. The hatter followed her gaze and his eyes widened,

"Lisanna no!"

"Killing them off one by one. See she will hate me even more once her bird friend is gone and want to find me even more, which will lead to her doom. Oh I do love a twist. OH! And one more thing I forgot to mention... you are gunner have front row seats of her execution, is that exciting." Tears began to appear in his eyes but he held them back. The queen obviously saw his feelings for her and remembered all the fun that they had together. She figured it all out.

"Oh I know! You can kill her for me!"

"W-what I'd never do that!" the hatter protested.

"HA! You don't have a choice." The queen signalled to the side and two men appeared. They bother wore red coats that covered their whole body from their nose to their feet. Each carried needles filled with a purple substance. It was the same substance the queen used on Lucy six years ago.

Hatter began to try to shake of the chain but it was fatal, nothing worked.
