A/N: Happy Holidays guys! I've already decided I suck at updating, working on that. Just figured out my New Year's resolution lol.

2 months later...

Olivia held Noah, looking outside at the lit city on the Christmas Eve night. Noah smiled at pointed at a falling snowflake.

"Yeah, you like the snow?" Olivia said, putting him down near his toys. "Maybe we can go outside and see it tomorrow in the park."

He made a cooing noise, Olivia guessed it was a sound of approval. She walked over to her phone to check to see if Elliot had left any messa

ges; nothing. He'd made the deal with Barba, and went to court ordered rehab for a month and a half. He'd just gotten out a couple weeks ago and she hadn't heard anything from him since.

Olivia picked up the phone and dialed his number, but it went straight to voicemail again, She left another message. "Hey El, it's Liv. I know it's hard but please don't do this again." She hung up, hearing Brian come in the door behind her.

Brian came in, his hair had some snowflakes attached to it. "It's really starting to come down out there." He hung his jacket in the closet by the door. "How much did they say we were supposed to get?"

"They said about three to five inches at the least." Olivia sat down on the couch behind Noah.

"Thank you December." Brian said sarcastically.

Olivia glanced at the medium Christmas tree in the corner of the room. "It isn't that bad. The lights look nice on all the decorations."

Brian came over and sat down next to Noah on the floor. "At least we both have off tomorrow, oh and I got off early for next Saturday."

Olivia smiled at him. In ten days he would be her husband.

Olivia had finally gotten Noah to sleep, he had been fussy all night. She was tired too, work had been so hectic the past couple weeks she had barely gotten any down time. Luckily, she had gotten home early so she got to spend extra time with Noah - and Brian now that he had been transferred to homicide as a uniform.

He had been getting home earlier than before, which he was when she came out of the bedroom.

"You just get home?" Olivia asked him, closing the door quietly behind her.

Brian nodded. "I could get used to this whole getting home before Noah is sleeping thing."

"You're a little late on that one tonight." She joined him in the couch. "But you have an excuse today, he's been so fussy, I think he's picking up on the tension the last couple weeks."

Brian rolled his eyes. "So I can assume things have lightened up at SVU a little?"

"A lot. It's great to be home early tonight, it's been so crazy that I haven't had time to focus on much around here."

"And we do have a lot to focus on." Brian said, toying with the engagement ring on her finger.

"I guess we do need to talk about it more, I'm just glad we have a date picked out, one less thing to worry about." Olivia eased into the couch. They had decided on the weekend after New Year's.

"What a wonderful way to ring in the New Year." Brian said.

"And hopefully to a much brighter year than this one has been."

Brian picked up what she meant. "So, do you want to have a reception or anythig after we get married at the courthouse?"

Olivia nodded. "It would be nice, nothing too big though. Where do you think we should have it?"

Brian glanced around their apartment. "I think this place is decent sized enough, plus we do need to save the extra money."

"Yeah, Noah can't sleep in our room forever." They knew that two bedroom apartments in New York were expensive.

"It'll all come eventually."

"You ready?" Olivia asked Brian, who had been entertaining Noah.

"Ready as I'll ever be."

She turned her attention back to their son. "You ready for your first Christmas with us?"

"No reaction." Brian said, looking at his face. He was just focusing on what he was doing.

Olivia shrugged. "He'll get it eventually, but at least this ons will be better than his first." She stood up and went to grab her phone.

"Liv look." Brian said. She turned around to see Noah crawling very fast towards her. He had been improving his crawling skills for a while now.

"Nice job little guy." Olivia said as he reached up for her. She picked him up, and when she did he rubbed his little eyes as he normally did when he was tired. "Bed time. Say goodnight to daddy."

Brian got up off the floor. "See ya tomorrow stud, and please don't start off as one of those kids who wakes up at five in the morning for his presents."

"I doubt it, don't say it won't eventually happen though." Olivia said, taking Noah back into the bedroom.

The next morning Noah woke them up at seven in the morning.

Olivia tried to get out of bed quietly so she didn't wake Brian.

"If you're trying to be quiet, you should know I've been awake for the past twenty minutes." Brian said, rolling over to face her.

Noah smiled at the familiar sight of Olivia coming to retrieve him. "Oh, and you're two hours off."

"Merry Christmas to you too." Brian said.

"Just saying." Olivia added. "Merry Christmas to you both too."

Last night they put the stuff they had gotten Noah for Christmas under their tree. When they brought him out of the bedroom his face lit up at seeing the colorful new things in his living room.

"See he loves it already." Brian said when Olivia put Noah down in front of gifts. They helped him open them, and he was very pleased. He was very into trains and cars, so that's basically the recurring theme in every present he opened. Most of the mite though, Noah seemed more interested in the colorful and shiny wrapping paper.

"Next year I'm buying you a roll of wrapping paper for Christmas." Brian said sarcastically.

Olivia rolled her eyes, but she was happy she was making Noah happy. It also made her happy they would have more Christmases like this for years.

"And next week we get to give each other our gifts." Olivia said, smiling. They both had agreed on using their wedding as their gifts to each other.

Olivia's phone buzzed loudly on the counter. She stood up to go get it. It was a text... from Elliot. She felt the weight that was in her heart disappear as she unlocked her phone.

The text said Merry Christmas, I'm sorry.

Olivia responded. You too, you doing alright?

Elliot replied immediately. Better, just needed some time to get back on my feet. I got all of your information about your wedding through your texts, I don't know if I'm coming.

Olivia already knew his reasons. She responded back. I hope you can, just take your time about it, you don't have to.

Once again his reply was immediate. I know.

At that, Olivia put her phone down and went to rejoin her family.

A/N: I'm assuming right now that Noah is a little over a year old, didn't really mention it because I'm not sure. Anyway, the Bensidy wedding is approaching - and fast! You guys know my drill, reviews, reviews, reviews lol.
