I must of fallen asleep, because I woke up to Fang shaking my shoulder. I sat up and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. When I looked up, I realized we were at his house. I looked over to see Fang watching me. "My house," he said, and I rolled my eyes. "I've got to calm down but I need to talk to you. I'll take you home if you want, though."

Fang had said all this without looking me in the eye, he just stared a little left of my face. I shrugged and unbuckled, muttering that it was fine. My mom probably didn't expect me home until tonight anyway. I followed Fang out the car and up to the front door. The house looked empty, and I was glad for that because I didn't feel like explaining to Ella why I was with her brother. Or why my wrists were bruised for that matter.

At the thought of my wrists, I hid my arms from sight. Fang noticed, but didn't say anything. When he finally unlocked the door, I followed him through the house, pausing at the door to take my shoes off. He led me to his room without saying a word. When I walked into his room he was digging through one of his dresser drawers. I wondered what he was doing, but didn't ask.

Fang turned around after a minute of rummaging. In his hand was a black shirt. He tossed it to me, and on further inspection I found it to be a long sleeve. I looked up at him to see what he wanted me to do with it. Still not meeting my eyes he asked, "Could you put it on? I can't stand the sight of your wrists. It makes me want to find Dylan and kill him."

I quickly slipped the shirt over my head, glad that I no longer needed to hide my arms behind my back. I stood quietly in the doorway to Fang's room, waiting for him to say something, anything. The silence was starting to smother me when Fang finally spoke up.

"It was my fault that Dylan found you," was what he said. I looked at him incredulously. I had been with him all day, and I'm pretty sure he hadn't made one call. He glanced at me out of the corner of his eye to see my reaction. It must have been quite confused, and for good reason, because he tried to explain. "Let's put it this way. Did you call Dylan and tell him where you were?" When I shook my head he continued. "Then that leaves only one other person that knew you were at the park, me."

I shook my head, refusing to believe he told Dylan. "You told Dylan where I was? And that I was with you? You know what he's like, how he gets," I said, my voice barely audibly. Fang's eyes widened visibly.

Nearly choking, he tried to speak. "Y-you think? You thought that I-? No! No, no, no, no, no. I would never!" Now I was just plain confused.

"If you didn't tell him, then what are you talking about?" I felt relieved, if not still confused as hell.

Fang sighed, sitting on his bed and rubbing his hands over his face. "Let me start over, okay?" When I nodded he continued. "After I picked you up and you decided that you wanted to go to the amusement park, Iggy texted me. He wanted to hang out but I told him I already had plans. Being nosy like always, he asked what I was doing. So I told him. I said that I was going to the amusement park with a friend." He paused there, his face becoming stony. He took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Iggy guessed that you were the friend and when I didn't deny it he made a joke and hung up." Again he stopped but this time he looked up at me sadly. "If I had known that Dylan would ask Iggy if he knew where you were, I never would have said anything. I'm so sorry, Max."

I stood still, going over his story in my head. I knew that Fang wouldn't lie to me and I also knew that it wasn't his fault. He just told a friend that he trusted his plans for the day. I knew that it wasn't Iggy's fault either. It's not like he knew what my relationship with Dylan is like. I sighed and sat gingerly next to Fang on his bed. He looked up at me, his face tinged with surprise.

"What happened today isn't your fault, nor is it Iggy's. You didn't think anything of telling your best friend where you were going or who you were with. I don't blame you Fang," I said quietly, glancing over at him when I was done. He went to talk but I shook my head. "What happened is done, you can't do anything about it. Now I don't want to talk about this. I don't want to talk about Dylan at all actually."

Fang stood up and turned towards me. Looking down at me he tried to smile and I gave him points for effort. "Okay, no more talking. Did you want to stay? We could watch a movie or something. Ella should be home soon," he offered.

I nodded my consent and followed him downstairs to a room with a big tv. Fang told me to pick a movie and then left the room. I turned to shelves filled with DVDs. As I looked them over I heard what I assumed was popcorn being made. I finally settled on the last Harry Potter and plopped down on the couch.

Fang walked in with a bowl of popcorn, which he handed to me while he put the movie in. He pressed play and sat down next to me, taking a handful of popcorn. As soon as the movie started I yawned. I was able to fight off sleep for about half an hour before my eyes closed. The last thing I remember was the popcorn being removed from my hands and a blanket being draped over me. Then I was asleep.

A/N: Let me start off by saying I really am sorry. I just haven't had the motivation to write for a long time. I'm not going to promise that I'll update soon because to be honest, I have no idea where I'm going with this story. Plus it's nearing the end of the school year which means I have to get ready for finals and regions. I'll update again when I can. Thanks to all those people who are continuing to read this story and who've waited patiently. Patience is a virtue after all. (I think...)
