Chapter 18: The Young Devils Gather

"I've missed you so much! Where have you been? Why didn't you call? Are you alright?" Rias began to babble as she hugged Vale for all she was worth. In fact she was hugging him so tight, he was beginning to have trouble breathing, and while he was glad to see her once again, he would be less glad if she squeezed the unlife out of him.

"Rias-hime, I won't be able to answer if you crush me to death." he gasped out as his vision began to darken.

Rias released her bone-crushing grip on him, but kept her hands on his shoulders as she held him at arm's length as she began to examine him up and down with concern evident in her features. Vale noticed out of the corner of his eye that Akeno had begun to gather her lightning around her body, despite keeping her typical onee-sama smile on her face. In an effort to preempt another skirmish between her and Rias, Vale activated Drain Zero but he focused the flow of energy outward instead of inward. This caused an imperceptible wave of power to ripple out, dispelling Akeno's lightning for the next several minutes. Surprised danced across the [Queen]'s features before it was replaced by a knowing look as Akeno shot him a wink.

"So, to answer your questions. I've been a lot of places including Atlantis, the lost continent of Mu, Avalon, Asgard, the Realm of the Dead, and Shangri-La. I didn't call because there was nothing to say, I had issues that needed dealing with. Nothing more, nothing less. And yes, I am alright." he said as he shrugged off Rias' hands. Rias was silent for a while as she pondered his answer before hugging him once more.

"Well, I'm glad you're back. So, where is Kanda-san?" she asked as she released him.

"He's away. Dealing with things." Vali answered plainly with a shrug.

"That he is." Vale chimed in. Rias glanced between them until it became obvious that she would get no better answer.

"Well, come on. We're about to leave for the Underworld for the Young Devil's Gathering." Rias said as she turned to head into the train.

"I'll be in in a minute, I need a word with a few of your servants first." Rias pause before turning to face him again.

"Well alright, but be quick about it." Rias said as she turned and strode into the train.

"Damn she has a nice ass." Vali muttered as he watched her walk away.

"Watch it. I've kicked your ass before, I can do it again." Vale shot back.

"Whatever man. I'll see you later." Vali said as he banished the wings of Divine Dividing and headed into the train. Vale turned to see most of the ORC heading back into train. Vale cleared his throat before he followed the crowd in. He had just passed through the door into the train when he caught up to his first target. He reached out before tapping the woman twice on the shoulder

"Hey Xenovia-san?" he asked as the blue-haired swordswoman turned to face him.

"Oh... Hello Vale-san." she replied in a hard voice.

"Look... I know we haven't always gotten along. Partly you being a self-righteous bitch to Asia and partly me not caring for Church members ever since Irina and I split. I just wanted to say..." he said as his voice trailed off as he looked around to make sure no one would hear the next part.

"Yes?" Xenovia asked as she raised an eyebrow towards him.

"I'm sorry. Okay, there I said it. Buddha knows that I've done much worse for much less. So, to prove to you I'm really sorry, here you go." He said as he fished something out of his pocket and presented it to Xenovia. It was a simple blue cross-shaped sword pendant on a black string, with two knuckle-sized purple gems on either side. Xenovia took the necklace from his hand as she held it in front of the light to examine it.

"It's beautiful. But wait, it's a cross. How did you not take damage from it?" she asked as she glanced sideways at him.

"That's only half right. It is a cross but it isn't a crucifix. It has no relation to the Church. It's something much more useful. When the time comes, you will know exactly what it is and what it means. Until then, simply keep it with you at all times." Xenovia turned it over in her hands before finally replying.

"Thank you Vale-san." she said with a smile.

"Your welcome. But to be completely clear, that apology never happened. You found the necklace on the sidewalk. Now Xenovia-san, goodbye." Vale said as he swept past her into the train car. Vale made absolutely sure to not look back and was on his way to a seat when he felt his arm get grabbed by Asia of all people.

"Um Vale? Do you have a minute?" the Bishop asked as Vale turned to face her in her seat by the window.

"For you, I've got two." he said with a smile. Asia was probably without a doubt, one of his favorite people to talk to, he always felt better after talking with the former nun. She was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day and whatnot.

"Umm... Ise-kun said you asked Michael to allow me to pray without taking damage and I just wanted to say thanks."

"Oh yeah... About that, I didn't do that." Vale said with a casual shrug.

"Wha? Then who did." she asked, obviously perplexed at this new development.

"Vali. Vali did."

"Why would he do that?"

"I think he fancies you." Vale said with a grin. Asia blushed a red so dark Vale would need a new name to describe it properly as she began to fidget once more.

"B-b-b-b-but why does he? What did I-? Does Issei-san-?" she sputtered as Vale reached out and covered her hands with one of his own.

"You know who would know if and why Vali fancies you? Vali. Invite him to sit with you and talk to him for like three seconds and you can find out." Vale said with a smile before he turned to make his way further into the train. He finally managed to find where Akeno and Koneko had taken their seats.

"Is this seat taken?" he asked as he pointed to the seat next to Koneko. Koneko wordlessly shook her head as Vale took a seat next to her, across from Akeno.

"By the way Koneko-chan. I got something for you." Vale said as he fished a fist-sized box out out of the blazer of his school uniform and handed it to her. It was a white box with strange lettering all over it. Whatever it was, Koneko couldn't read it.

"What's this?" she asked as she turned it over in her hands.

"It's some sweets I got on Avalon, the Isle of the Blessed. Apparently Faeries know their stuff when it comes to sweets. Plus, I saw the candy store and I thought of you." he said as he crossed his legs over one another. Koneko blushed slightly before leaning over and wrapping him an a tight hug.

"Thanks. By the way senpai, it's nice to see you again." she muttered before she released him. Akeno wasted no time in getting up from her seat before she took a seat on Vale's lap.

"So Vale-kun, did you bring me anything?" Akeno purred as she gently grasped one of his hands and placed it on her thigh as she ever so slowly began to slide it up towards her skirt area. This was apparently too hot for Koneko to handle, as she blushed once again before heading off to look for Gasper.

"Unfortunately, Hades and Odin are being dicks. So no, I haven't got anything for you, yet. But if you're patient, I promise it'll be worth the wait." he said as he gently kneaded the soft, elastic skin of her thighs, causing an ever so slight shiver to ripple through Akeno's figure.

"Ara ara Vale-kun, if you have to talk to Gods to get it, I'm sure it will be worth the wait. If only there was some way to repay you..." she said as she continued to slide his hands up towards her lap.

"I know where you're going with this. But now, it's time for my nap. So, off you go." he said as he hoisted Akeno by her waist and placed her back in her chair before leaning back in his chair as he closed his eyes before his consciousness sank into his Abyssal Gear...

Vale was in the white room once more. Except he was now standing atop an enormous black hill. Well, in all honesty it was probably close to a small mountain. One other detail worth mentioning was that it appeared to be breathing...

"Um... Erasmus, is that you?" Vale asked uncertainly as he looked behind him to see the familiar rows of spines, except each spine was now about as big as he was. There was a ripple of movement as the gigantic hill began to shift. The commotion continued for about thirty seconds until a massive black head swung into view and the eyelid opened to reveal the familiar crimson iris that now stood about eight feet across.

"Whoa, you've gotten big. You must be at least 150 meters long now." Vale observed.

"Indeed I have, father. Ophis' power has fueled the growth of my own powers. Surely you have noted the new powers and improved performance of the Gear, no?" Erasmus replied.

"I did notice that the armor lasted significantly longer now, yes. But, truth be told I was more focused on honing my use of the one Azazel helped me make. You know, so my Brave Saints don't kill me when I finally insert the King card. But, needless to say, Lucifer's Twin Halos is coming along nicely. But anyway, just thought I'd pop in to say hi. I guess I'll see you around." Vale said as he prepared to awaken.

"Hold on father."

"Yes?"

"I am now powerful enough to communicate with you in your waking moments. Would it be alright with you if we spoke while you were awake?" Erasmus asked apprehensively, as if afraid to question his father.

"Sure, it'd save me the trip down here." Vale said with a shrug.

"Thank you.." Erasmus replied with an enormous toothy grin as the room began to dissolve...

Vale opened his eyes to see Rias resting her head on his lap, with Akeno having disappeared to parts unknown. Rias had lifted the armrests on either side of her and was now laying down across the three chairs and was using him as a lap pillow. She appeared to be asleep, for the moment. He pondered whether or not to wake her. But eventually, he decided against it. She looked too peaceful to disturb right then. So, Vale let her sleep, content to simply stroke her hair as she slept.

About ten minutes later, Azazel wandered over and planted himself in the seat across from Vale. Vale placed a finger against his lips to remind the Fallen Angel Governor to be quiet.

"So, how's it going? Did you and Vali have much success on those little projects of yours while you were away?" Azazel asked in a hushed tone.

"I'm fine. About my projects, apparently my worries about the Juggernaut Drive were unfounded. It was an additive by the Biblical God. It was software, not hardware. Lucifer's Twin Halos are performing as expected. Apparently, Kokabiel's consciousness is still anchored in Cocytus, while his power resides in one of the Halos. If he weren't a humongous douche, I'd recommend that we release him from Cocytus." Vale replied quietly.

"And the other one? Whose power is in that one?"

"Come now, Azazel. I'm a pragmatist, that name isn't just for show..."

"Whoa... Where'd you find the other one?"

"The same place I found the first one. Azazel, you of all people should know Archangels have two halos, even the Exiled ones." Vale replied ominously.

"But where geographically did you find it?" Azazel asked urgently.

"The only thing you need to know is that my gut decision to not trust Indra while hunting down the True Longinus was not unfounded." Vale replied cryptically. Azazel sighed as he pressed a hand to his forehead.

"I hate it when you get like this, you know that?"

"I do."

"What about your work on Divine Dividing? How's that coming?" Azazel asked, abandoning the boondoggle of pressing Vale for details.

"Good, but to actually see the results you'll have to wait until Vali decides to reveal it. Then again, you could avoid all of this if you simply read my notes." Vale replied, causing Azazel to frown. Vale was notorious for writing his research and operational notes in cuneiform. This of course rendered them nearly impossible to read, seeing as how no one remembered how read the long forgotten language. Vale however, thanks to the collective memories of his clan, could read and write almost any language ever devised and witnessed by a Beleth clan member.

"You're just as fun to work with as always." Azazel sighed as he leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. Vale spent the rest of the train ride silently stroking Rias' hair until they pulled into the train station. Vale gently shook Rias awake as the train slowed to a halt. Rias loosed an absolutely adorable yawn as she stretched her arms skyward before sitting up and rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"We're here." he said as he rubbed his thighs to get the blood flowing once more.

"Mmm...okay. Look, my family is gonna needle you with questions to make sure that our relationship is progressing. So we need to work out what we're gonna tell them. Any ideas?" she asked as she stood up and smoothed out the creases on her skirt.

"Ooh! I know this one! Sex!" Vale said excitedly as he stood up from his seat.

"What?!" Rias exclaimed as a blush painted her cheeks red.

"We tell them we're having sex at every possible moment. Sex when we're supposed to be in class. Sex when we should be working! Sex just all the time! Often synced to Salt-N-Pepa's hit song: Push It, when possible." Vale said dramatically as he spread his arms like a director pitching an idea for a movie. Rias giggled at his little display of dramatic flair before saying,

"Okay, while I have no doubt that they would get off our backs after hearing that; my nephew is gonna be there and I don't think Grayfia would like us teaching him about things like that. Any other ideas?"

"How about the truth?" Vale asked as he cracked the tendons in his neck.

"And the truth is?" Rias asked, not understanding what he was insinuating.

"We tell them it's none of their damn business. Honestly Rias, it's gonna take all my willpower not to deck your dad for arranging your marriage to Riser. I don't have a ton of ideas right now, I'm trying to convince myself not to start a fight with your dad."

Rias was taken aback at his unusual response. But, all her apprehension aside, she was glad he was here and that he was putting aside his issues for her. Without saying a word, she reached up and planted a soft kiss on his lips, noting that they tasted strangely like coconut as she did. As she broke the kiss she said,

"Well, I'm sure we'll work something out. Now c'mon, let's get going before the crowd gets too big." she said as she turned to head for the door.

"About that, I'm gonna take a magic circle to your house. I have some business I need to discuss with Grayfia-sama. It's about Kanda and my other servants."

"Aww c'mon. I was looking forward to showing my boyfriend off to the servants of the Gremory household." Rias pouted.

"Well... your boyfriend, as you put it, likes his privacy. Rias, please just do this one thing for me?" he asked as he shot her his best puppy dog eyes.

"What's in it for me?" she asked mischievously as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

"This." he said with a grin before he bent down and claimed her lips with his. He had only been kissing her for a few seconds before she pushed her tongue inside his mouth. Their tongues intertwined together and danced inside his mouth as he enjoyed the taste of her lips and the feel of her tongue on his. They were interrupted by the train conductor, Reynaldo, loudly clearing his throat behind them.

"Excuse me hime-san, we have arrived and your servants are waiting outside for you. Vale-sama, your [Queen] refuses to set foot on the platform." he said once Vale and Rias broke their kiss.

"Thank you Reynaldo, I'll be right out" Rias replied, not missing a beat as the conductor bowed before turning and leaving.

"Alright, I'll see you at your house in a little bit." Vale said as he turned to go meet up with Vali. He exited the train compartment to see Vali standing there angrily with his arms crossed and tapping his foot.

"You shouldn't frown so hard, you'll get wrinkles." Vale said with a cocky grin as he stepped into the corridor.

"Why the hell did you tell Asia that I have a thing for her?" Vali asked angrily.

"What do you care? I mean, you did ask Michael for her to be able to pray without taking damage." Vale said with a shrug.

"Yeah, cuz I thought you had a thing for her. I was trying to help you out!"

"I didn't ask for your help. Besides, if you were trying to help me, why did you ask if she was single back in Avalon?" Vale shot back with a grin.

"Because... Shut up! That's why!" Vali shot back.

"Well... your little tsundere moment aside, let's get going. The paperwork for Arthur, Le Fay and Bikou should be done by now. Kuroka's is gonna be a bit more complicated, what with her wanted status. But, Sirzechs assures me she'll be good to join us by the time of the opening ceremony."

"Okay. Wait! Why does Bikou need a pardon? I know Le Fay and Arthur were part of the Khaos Brigade, but what did Bikou do?"

"He didn't do anything. But when he left the mountain, the First Generation threw a bitch-fit and got his name on a whole ton of lists. I gotta say, I've had to use a whole butt-load of favors getting his name cleared. He better be as good as you say he is." Vale said in a somewhat irritated voice.

"He is. Trust me." Vali said reassuringly.

"Alrighty then, and awaayyyy we go!" Vale exclaimed as he opened up a transportation magic circle to Castle Gremory.

They reappeared inside the entry hall of Castle Gremory to the familiar face of Grayfia Lucifuge. She was dressed in her maid outfit once again, she was speaking to a young crimson-haired boy dressed in the clothing of a noble.

"I understand okaa-sama." the boy said with a polite nod. Vali cleared his throat loudly, getting Grayfia's attention as she turned to face them.

"Hello Grayfia-sama. Has Sirzechs-dono sent word about the rest of my servants? Are they cool to join us for dinner?" Vale asked.

"Yes, in fact you may summon them here now, if you like. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go greet ojou-sama and her servants." Grayfia said with a bow as she turned and left.

"Are you the one okaa-sama calls Beleth-san?" the young man asked inquisitively asked as he looked up at Vale.

"I am. Which must make you Millicas, correct?" Vale replied.

"Yep. Ajuka oji-sama says you're very smart."

"Oh really? Does Serafall-dono say anything about me?" Vale asked, obviously intrigued.

"Yeah, she thinks it's cool that you enjoy her show at your age. I personally like the Satan Rangers better than Levi-tan, though." Millicas replied with a shrug. As soon as Millicas finished talking, all expression fell from Vale's face.

"Uh oh. Now you've done it..." Vali said wearily, Levi-tan was a sensitive topic for Vale, to say the least. He might as well go and summon the rest of Vale's peerage, as Vale was going to be too busy shouting to do anything else...

Rias, Issei, Asia, Xenovia and Grayfia pulled up to Castle Gremory in a carriage a few minuted later. As they exited the carriage, Grayfia could swear she heard shouting from inside. They arrived inside to see Vale and Millicas at each other's throats.

"YOU'RE CRAZY, YOU ARE! LEVI-TAN COULD KICK SATAN RED'S ASS ANY DAY OF THE WEEK AND BE HOME IN TIME FOR TEA!" Vale screamed at Millicas.

"NUH-UH, SATAN RED IS UNBEATABLE. HIS RUIN THE EXTINCT MOVE IS UNBEATABLE!" Millicas screamed back at him. Vale grunted something unintelligible before he was interrupted by Rias loudly clearing her throat. Both Vale and Millicas turned to face the new arrivals and both of their faces simultaneously drained of color at they felt the aura of danger coming from Grayfia...

After Vale and Millicas apologized for their argument, Vale summoned his peerage so he could introduce them to the ORC.

"You guys know Vali and Kanda." Vale said as he gestured to his [Knight] and [Queen] in turn.

"Of course." Rias replied, unsure of why Vale was reintroducing them.

"Sorry, I'm just particularly proud to have the great-grandson of the original Lucifer as my [Queen]. The blondie in the business suit is Arthur Pendragon, descendant of King Arthur, my newest [Knight]. I added him after his ancestor on Avalon declined my offer. The witch with the badass pointy hat is his sister, Le Fay, my newest [Bishop]." Vale said as he introduced the swordsman and witch.

"It's nice to finally meet you all. Vale-sama was always talking about his friends in the Occult Research Club." Le Fay said with a bow, while Arthur contented himself to simply wave before he adjusted his spectacles.

"The devilishly handsome youkai in the Three Kingdoms armor is Bikou, a descendant of Sun Wukong. The bishounen in the armor with the sword on his back is Isley, the White Silver King of the North. He's a Youma, a distant cousin to the Dragons. These two are my new [Rook]s, seeing as how Mil-tan works for Serafall-dono now." Vale continued.

"You're too kind Vale." Bikou said with a chuckle while Isley simply bowed to Rias. Vale turned to gesture to a wiry young man with long brown hair wearing a tan poncho over baggy pants, fingerless gauntlets with two circular protrusions on each hand and a woman with long, black hair and green eye. She was dressed like she had just stepped off the set of Pirates of the Caribbean, complete with an eyepatch.

"This young man is Hao Asakura, the eighth Shaman King. The young woman with no contemporary fashion sense is Edith Teach. Great-great-great-great-great... great, I think granddaughter of Blackbeard. Also, fun fact-" Vale began when Azazel cut in,

"You're Shemhazai's granddaughter right?"

"Yep, that's right." Edith replied with a grin.

"Well... anyways, as I was saying before Azazel stole my moment. These two are my new [Pawn]s."

"Well, it's nice to meet you all. I look forward to seeing you around the Academy in the future. Now, If you'll follow Grayfia, she'll show you all to your rooms." Rias replied in her normal elegant manner she used around her servants.

After Grayfia finished showing them to their room, they met down in the dining room for dinner, they were greeted by Rias' mother and father. Rias' father looke like an older version of Sirzechs with a goatee. While Rias' mom looked like she could be Rias' sister. She was her daughter's spitting image, save for her flaxen hair. After a brief introduction, they all sat down to eat together. Vale had to painstakingly cut and spear each little bite, rather than tear it apart as he normally did when he ate.

"So, Beleth Vale-san. Has your mother been well? Rias informs me she is quite a powerful magician, is she doing alright?" Lord Gremory asked as he dabbed at the corners of his mouth with his napkin. Vale paused in the middle of cutting a piece off his steak. He tightened his grip on his fork until his knuckles were white and his palm began to hurt. He couldn't speak, couldn't think, he couldn't feel. All he saw was white...

"Oh my!" Rias' mother said, startling him from from his daze. He looked down to see his fork was now just a mass of twisted metal.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that." he said as he placed the twisted wreck back on the table.

"Is everything alright Beleth Vale-san?" Venelana asked, her voice heavy with concern.

"...No, it's not. My mother left about a month and a half ago. No warning, she just left. She left a note saying goodbye, and then she was gone." Vale choked out, not daring to let himself cry.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't realize she had left. I realize it can be tough to grow up without a mother." Lord Gremory responded solemnly.

"It's fine. I hadn't seen her in a long while anyways, so we weren't close." Vale lied as he forced a smile.

"But, onto a lighter topic Rias has informed me that you are in the process of learning how to comport yourself in high society. We will be happy to help you in this area, if you so require it." Venelana said helpfully.

"I see no harm in that." Vale said with a shrug.

"It's settled, while you are here you will study manners a little while here." Venelana said. Vale opened his mouth to reply when a loud BANG! rangout through the dining room.

"Father! Mother! I've been listening quietly until now, but what kind of thing are you trying to advance without me!?"

Buchou's mother narrowed her eyes at those words. There was none of the smiling face from when she had pleasantly greeted them all before.

"Be silent, Rias. You already canceled your engagement with Raiser, remember? The fact that we just permitted it should be thought of as special treatment. How much effort do you think your father and Sirzechs had to put in in order to take care of things with the other high-class devils? You may be the younger sister of the Satan, but there is still a limit."

Rias opened her mouth to reply, but Vale beat her to the punch,

"How DARE you?! Consider yourself lucky that I have not attacked you yet! The last person to speak to Rias-hime like that was Riser. And we all know what I did to him. Rias-hime had no hand in my intervention of her engagement. It was my decision alone. If any of the Phenex's have a problem with it, tell them they can talk to me." Vale exclaimed furiously.

"I appreciate the effort you are making to defend our daughter, Vale-san. May I call you Vale-san?" Lord Gremory asked in his best non-threatening voice.

"You may not!"

"You certainly are rude, you know. You come into our house and tell us how to raise our daughter!" Venelana exclaimed with cold indignation as she raised herself from her chair to her full height.

"Oh right, 'cuz you worked so hard to build this place with your own two hands! That aside, you have no right to tell Rias who she can marry! You have even less right than most Devil parents have. Venelana, you are the illegitimate daughter of the Lord Bael's second mistress, you were undoubtedly scorned by the rest of the Great King's Clan. Which means they never would've acknowledged your existence, much less arranged your marriage to Lord Gremory. If you two married for love and your son and daughter-in-law did as well, why can't Rias?"

"Wow, you certainly have a talent for discourtesy, you know that." Venelana said coldly.

"What can I say? It's a gift!" Vale shot back.

"Get out of my house, now!" Lord Gremory said angrily as he stood from his chair and pointed to the door dramatically.

"With pleasure. Come, my servants! Rias-hime, I suggest you follow our lead. Though I won't resent you if you stay." Vale said as he turned and strode from the room, his entire peerage on his heels.

"Wait Vale, don't go!" Rias cried with an outstretched hand as Vale left through the large double doors at the end of the dining room.

"Let him go, Rias. Back to the streets, where him and his ilk belong." her mother replied coldly.

"Please Okaa-sama, give him another chance." Rias cried as she turned to beseech her mother. Desperate to hold on to the man she hadn't seen for almost two months. She couldn't bear to part with him so soon after their reunion.

"No, my judgment is final on this." she said in a voice that would tolerate no resistance.

"How can you be so heartless?! He just lost his mother!" Rias cried, tears now forming in the corners of her eyes.

"That is no excuse!" Lord Gremory replied sternly. Rias glanced between her parents, desperately searching for anyway to convince them to allow her betrothed back in the house. But, all her examination revealed was stern expressions and cold glares.

"H-how... Wh-why...I hate you!" Rias choked out as she turned and ran from the room, tears streaming down her face as she ran up the stairs to her room. Her shoes echoing uncommonly loud through the silent dining room...

"Buchou, wait!" Issei said as he pushed his chair back from the table, but before he could push himself to his feet Grayfia had laid a hand on his shoulder He looked up to see her shaking her head silently.

"Ojou-sama needs some time to herself right now, I'm sure you will all have time to comfort her later. Right now, she needs time to calm herself." Grayfia said serenely.

"She is right Ise-kun. Keep her in your thoughts, she will need our help later." Akeno replied quietly from the seat next to him before turning her gaze back to the double doors of the dining room...

Many miles away...

Vale soared through the air, his eight bat wings spread out behind him as he turned to look at his [Queen] behind him and to the left doing the same, with Bikou on his golden cloud and Le Fay on her broomstick. To the right, the Chaos Karma Dragon soared gracefully through the air carrying the rest of his servants who could not yet fly on their own power yet. They were silent for what seemed like years until...

"So, that could've gone better." Bikou said from atop his cloud. Vale was silent. Until, he began to laugh. He laughed loud enough for every one to hear, a laugh full of life and merriment, causing more than a little confusion among his servants.

"That it could have." he said with a beaming smile as they banked and headed for Lucifaad...

Author's Note: Alrighty, that was interesting. Did not see that ending coming. I'm hoping to sneak in a secret rendezvous between Rias and Vale next chapter, and I have like no idea how to fit it in... Thoughts? Anyways, don't forget to review. This is The 19th Angel, signing off...

Ending Theme: You're Going Down by Nightcore
