Hey guys! Sorry it's taken me so long to post. Finals have kept me busy, and I've been working on my manuscript for the book I'm writing. Please let me know what you think about this chapter! If it seems to short, or choppy, PLEASE tell me. I much appreciate the feed back that you give me, just so long as it's nice!

Prentiss stirred beside me, and I immediately moved closer to her. She moaned and sat up, leaning against the wall for support.

"Oh. My. God." She grumbled, putting her hand on her side.

"Are you okay?" I asked her. I was worried that even though she had told me to beat her, she would still resent me.

"Yea, totally. Never felt better." The tone of her voice made me cringe. "I'm sorry JJ." She said.

I shook my head. "No Emily, I'm sorry. I should have tried to stop it or-"

"Don't beat yourself up about it." She told me comfortingly. "I told you to do it, and while I have to say that I'm not happy about it, I'm glad it was me and not you."

We sat together, taking in the small amount of comfort that we felt by being near each other.

"They're going to find us right?" I asked Prentiss suddenly.

She turned slowly to face me. "The team?" I nodded. "Of course. They've probably already figured out that Detective Newman is the Unsub and now they're just trying to figure out where he's keeping us." Despite her certain words, she sounded slightly skeptical.

After another long stretch of silence, I said "I should have known."

"How could you possibly have known?"

"When he and I were going to the Jackson house, he asked me on a date. I told him no, and he seemed surprised and a little hurt. I just wrote it off as his ego, but I should have realized that something was up."

She started to say something when a voice came through the speaker again. "Jennifer and Anna, come to the door now." My heart sank, but I was relieved that it wasn't Prentiss.

Once again, I stood at the door and waited for them to drag me back into the battle room. Anna, the girl that I had first talked to seemed calm and collected, rolling her shoulders and bouncing from foot to foot. It was exactly like the first time, but when we were tossed into the pit, there was a larger crowd. Anna and I stood on opposite sides of the pit, facing each other.

Detective Newman moved to the edge so that we could see him. "You know what to do." Was all he said before stepping back.

Anna looked at me and gave me a sad smile. "Sorry." She said, and launched herself at me.

I was slightly taller than her and much better fed, but if she truly had been in here for years without being killed, then she was obviously a good fighter. Plus, there would be no hesitation to go for the win from her.

I managed to dodge the first fist she swung at me, but she easily countered by knocking my feet out from under me. I hit the floor with my palms down and rolled out of the way just in time to avoid a kick that would have probably broken a few ribs. I stayed on the floor, and when she kicked again, I was ready. I caught her foot and twisted it, bringing her on the hard floor beside me. We both leapt to our feet, but she was faster than I was, and he fist slammed into my jaw so hard that I heard one of her knuckles crack. I stumbled backwards, and she didn't miss a beat. A roundhouse kick to the base of my ribs put me on the floor again, and she didn't bother to try kicking me again. I found myself in the same position that I had put Prentiss in, with her on top of me and slamming her fist repeatedly into my face. I tried to bring my arms up to protect myself, but her knees were pinning them to the ground.

I was only conscious for one more punch, and when I regained my consciousness, Detective Newman was congratulating Anna on what a wonderful job she had done. The other man that had been on the ledge with him stalked over to me and hauled me gruffly to my feet. The sudden vertical position made me want to throw up, but I managed to hold it in. He punched me hard in the stomach, and then dropped me again. I crumpled to the ground in pain and was almost immediately pulled back up.

Detective Newman gave me a twisted smile. "Now it's our turn."

He hauled me out of the pit and down a different hallway. I lost my footing on the uneven floor, but he just continued to drag me. We arrived at another door, and he unlocked it, then drug me into it and tossed me into the wall. My head banged painfully against it, and black spots danced across my vision. He knelt down beside me and chained my hands into a pair of shackles that were attached to the wall. He started kicking me until I was begging him to stop. It was excruciating, and each blow added to the fear I was feeling about the team not being able to find us. Eventually, I stopped begging him and just whimpered, and when I did so he leaned over me and wrapped his hands around my throat. It wasn't tight enough to cut off my air way completely, but I was struggling to breathe.

"Aren't you trained for this sort of thing?" He asked, and after a long minute, he let go of me.

I gasped for air, but the pain stopped me. He smiled and looked down at me. I spat out a mouthful of blood and returned the smile. "My team is going to find you, and when they do, you'll wish they were being this nice."

He became furious, and gave me another kick. I knew that I shouldn't have said it, but I had to do something. He punched me in the jaw, and it slammed my head into the wall. The black spots grew bigger, but it wasn't enough to stop me from seeing what he was doing. He tore his belt off and leaned over me again then grinned.

"They might find me, but not in time to stop this." He slammed my head into the wall, and I willingly let the darkness consume me.

How much longer should I drag this out? Should the team show up in the next 1-2 chapters and have that be it, or should i have some of her and Prentiss dealing with the aftermath? And, how much longer should I wait before I have the team rescue them? Review or PM me!
