Look, I actually got a chapter posed when I said I would! Shocking right! I hope you guys like it!

I drifted in and out of consciousness. The darkness was soothing and not painful, filled with dreams of my family and the team. Being awake was painful and full of fear and anguish. Still, there were times when I was awake for long enough to catch snippets of their conversations.

"We have to leave. Now." It was detective Newman's voice and I immediately shrank away from it.

"No John, It's too dangerous." It was someone else, and I was afraid of him too.

"I am the captain of this team and you will do what I say!"

I quickly stopped fighting to stay awake. The last thing I wanted was to face his anger again.

The next few times that I woke up, I was greeted by silence, and then quickly dissolving back into the bliss of darkness. It wasn't until I woke to being dragged that I panicked. There was a man who was holding me under the arms and hauling me across the parking lot outside. I struggled weakly for a moment, but stopped when he grabbed my badly broken left hand and squeezed it. His hand clamped around my mouth to keep me from screaming, and as much as I willed myself to, I couldn't pass out again.

He dragged me into the back of a semi and tied me to the wall close to the cab. The other girls were in similar positions around me. Prentiss was placed in the chains next to me, but she didn't stir at all. The semi started with a creak and several of the men, including Detective Newman joined us. When he saw that I was awake, he walked over to where we were with such ferocity that I whimpered. He let out a cold laugh, sent his boot into my head, and the darkness took over again.

The next time that I woke up, He was hauling me to my feet. I was out of the chains, but he had handcuffed my hands behind my back.

"Say a word and I'll shoot you and let you bleed out in a field." He muttered in my ear and pressed a gun to the back of my head.

He kept me carefully in front of him, and as we walked to the door, I saw the other girls. Each one of them was leaning limply against the wall. For a brief moment I wondered why they were being so passive, and then I saw that each one of them had taken a clean shot through the head. I wanted to throw up, but I kept walking like it didn't bother me. If Prentiss was still alive, my only hope of keeping her that way was to do what he said.

He opened the door slowly and poked just his head out. After glancing around, he pushed it open the rest of the way and jumped down. He pulled me down the three foot drop and I landed with enough force to both knock the wind out of me and make my ribs scream in pain. Still, I didn't say anything, and we started trudging through the tall grass that was to the side of the truck.

They had pulled over in a desolate part of the road. They must have felt the pressure of my team closing in and ditched the car. There were no footsteps following us, so I took a risk and glanced back. To the left of the door were three limp forms. I saw just enough to know that he had not only killed the girls, but his team mates. He pressed the gun into the back of my head and forced me to face forward again.

We trudged through the field on the side of the road at a pace that I could barely keep up with in my injured state. My foot got caught in a hole in the ground and I stumbled and landed awkwardly on my wrist. With a furious snarl, Detective Newman grabbed me and hauled me to my feet just as I heard sirens in the distance. I looked down the road in the direction of the sirens and could see the lights.

"Shit." He growled and pulled me to the ground. There were several regular police cars and two suburbans that held my team.

"I told you they'd find me." I muttered. "When they get their hand on you, you're going to wish they treated you like you treated me."

"Shut up!" He threatened, and whipped his pistol across my jaw.

I saw the doors of the police cars open and the officers approach the semi. I could make out Morgan and Reid's silhouettes against the bright head lights. Detective Newman started to haul me along the ground making sure that he kept his back below the grass. They weren't sending agents into the field, and I noticed a house only about a half a mile from where we were. That was where he was taking me and by the time that they figured that out we would be long gone or I would be dead.

I knew that I was essentially committing suicide, but at least it would give me a chance.

"Spence!" I yelled as loud as I could. Several beams of light turned our way, and I was lashed across the face with the gun again. "Spence! In the field!"

A group of people and flash lights turned our way, just as a gunshot rang out. A burning pain filled my stomach, and a hand clamped over my mouth to muffle my scream. The group of people, my team, started to run our way, and Detective Newman stood up to face them, using me as his shield.

He waited until the team was within shooting distance and yelled, "Take another step and I'll kill her!" Something dug into the bullet hole and I screamed in pain again.

"Try it John!" Rossi yelled.

There was another gun shot, but I wasn't the one that he had fired at. Reid grunted in pain and took a step back. He dropped his gun and would have fallen over if it wasn't for an agent that caught him. Morgan holstered his gun and put his hands up. He took a step back and signaled for everyone else to do the same.

"Alright John, what do we have to do to get you to let her go?"

"Nothing!" he yelled, "I want a car and a free ticket out of here!"

Morgan shook his head. "Come on Detective. You're a cop. You know that we can't do that."

Detective Newman aimed the gun at him. "You think I don't know that? I'm not stupid! But I also know that you aren't going to let me kill one of your agents. You'll do whatever it takes to get her back." He resumed twisting the gun in my bullet wound, and I almost blacked out. "A car now, or I shoot her again!"

"I know that you don't want to do that." Rossi said. "I know that you don't want to kill her, you just want to punish her for when she hurt you." He hesitated for a moment and Rossi continued. "She picked that New Orleans hick over you. You gave her everything that you had, and she dumped you like you were garbage."

He pulled the gun out of my stomach and pointed it at Rossi. "You have no idea what she did to me!" I didn't even realize what I'd done to him.

"Yes I do!" Rossi yelled back. "You asked her out, fell in love with her and planned to marry her. Then she ditched you for some guy that she barely knew."

I slowly started to remember, but it hadn't been nearly as dramatic as Rossi had made it sound. Not long before I'd met will, I had gone on a date with another cop that I'd met in a bar. After our case in New Orleans when I met Will, I'd realized that he was a joke and let him go. He had told me that I was crazy for leaving him because he was in love with me. We had only been on two dates, so I had figured that it was a good thing that I had dumped him. He started getting weird and calling me at odd hours in the night, so I'd changed my number and never looked back. Not long after that I had met Will and started seeing him. An old date was the least of my worries, but it must have seriously pushed him over the edge. Last week had been the anniversary of when Will and I had met, but I didn't know how he could have known that. I also didn't understand was why he worked with a team and took other women.

"You don't know anything!" He shouted back. "I loved her! And she left me because some moron with an accent batted his eyes at her and called her pretty!" Morgan took a step forward and Detective Newman turned the gun on him, then pressed it to my head. "You know agent Morgan, "He laughed coldly, "I know that I'm not going to make it out of here alive, so why should she?"

"No!" yelled Morgan. He was reaching for his gun, but he wasn't going to be fast enough.

A gun shot rang through the still night, but felt no pain. I was just falling backwards. I landed on top of Detective Newman with a thud, but he didn't move. I rolled off of him and pulled the gun out of his hand. He still didn't budge. I looked up, towards the house and saw Hotch, gun still pointed at where the detective's head had been seconds ago. Morgan and Rossi ran towards me and dropped on the ground to check Detective Newman's pulse and see how badly I was injured. I felt myself leaning to the side and Morgan caught me before I passed out.

"We need a medic our here!" He yelled into the mic on his vest. "It's okay JJ. You're going to be okay."

Someone loaded me onto a stretcher and carried me out of the field while someone else put a painful amount of pressure on my stomach. Hotch jogged to catch up with me, and I suddenly panicked. I tried to sit up, but someone pushed me back onto the stretcher.

"Prentiss! She's hurt Hotch! Did you find her?" Hotch took my hand and nodded. "Where is she? Is she okay?"

Hotch nodded. "She's in bad shape, but they think she's going to make it."

I was so relieved that I almost cried.

I was loaded into the back of an ambulance and hooked up to an I.V.

"It's okay Agent." Said the paramedic leaning over me. "You're going to be fine."

I am planning on doing three of four more chapters, so PM me if you have any ideas because i only really have one that's good!
