I can't do this!

Eddie pov

All through the rest of the day me and my sisters worked on our 'characters'. Beth was surprisingly good at being dramatic and Caroline was sort of ok-ish at being shy, 'We'd definitely have to work on that'. As for me you could say I was lucky. The reason for that was my mom. Even though she knew I would never use them she still bought me new 'girly' clothes every year when school started. More than half my closet is filled with clothes I have never worn and they are all gender specific. Don't even get me stared on all the shoes. Beth loves It because even though I'm taller than her we can still share tops and have the same shoe size. It's her favorite thing to go shopping through my closet. Needless to say both mom and dad were pretty shocked when I came down the stairs the next morning in a denim miniskirt that barely came down to my knees, a white lacy tank top, a loose (sorta see through) pink cardigan, and white ballet flats with a tiny pink daisy off to the sides. My long blonde hair was also done in nice beach waves. For a minute everyone just stared at me while I stood there awkwardly at the bottom of the stairs.

My dad was the first to break the ice by smiling and saying, "You look very pretty today Eddie, although I'm slightly worried about why you would choose to dress up today? I hope it's not to convince me the you want to stay here in Ohio with your boyfriend."

I just laughed and said, "Don't worry dad, I don't have a boyfriend, and I'm just as excited to go back to Buckman as mom."

"Well Eddie I must say I didn't expect you to wear the clothes I got you but your fathers right they do look very pretty." My mom said walking around me taking in my entire appearance. "Who did your hair sweetheart, and is that mascara your wearing?"

"Um, Beth helped with the hair, and yeah its mascara. Why does it look bad?" I asked pretending I really did care whether or not it was perfect.

"Of course sweetheart, you look beautiful." My mom smiled at me one last time before continuing helping Beth with the pancakes. Well that's a relief, they didn't treat me to differently. Maybe this whole 'acting girly thing' won't be to bad after all. I released a breath I didn't realize I was holding before taking my usual seat at the table and waiting for breakfast to get done, or for Caroline to get her lazy butt out of bed, whichever came first.

Their hadn't been any more staring or asking me questions since breakfast. Caroline had come down about halfway through but if she noticed anything different, she didn't point it out. Now the three of us were up in Beth's room trying to pack boxes and giving me lessons on how to walk in high heels. Honestly at least the shoes mom gets for me are on the ground, they barely have any heel, but at the moment Caroline is taking pictures of me trying not to die while wearing Beth's 4 inch heels trying to walk across the floor.

"Why, do they have to be so tall?" I asked Beth for probably the ninth time in the last twenty minutes. "None of my shoes are this high, you're the short one, I don't need the extra height."

"You're not wearing them for the height, you're wearing them because they help with your posture when walking. If you slouch you'll fall on your face, you need to stand up straight, show off those curves you've been hiding under boys shirts and baseball uniforms." She said calmly while digging her fingers into my shoulder blades and forcing my shoulders back and my back straight.

"Ugg, I don't think I can do this," I moaned before straightening up and trying it again. One things for sure, this had better be worth it to see the boys faces when I'm all girly-fied. After all whats loosing a little dignity when you can see that stupid face the boys make whenever you one up them.
