Sakura shakily looked down at her hands. She hadn't meant to fall this far, but she couldn't help it. She couldn't keep her head up; she couldn't keep her head above the murky water that wanted to swallow her whole. She could see the blue of her veins peeking through her pale wrists and all she wanted to do is just make it stop. She could feel the heartbeat beneath her fragile skin and she couldn't help but want to feel it stop. She would be doing everyone a favor.

Shaking her head from the poisonous thoughts that were leaking in through her head, she looked across the room and took in her surroundings. Obito's house hadn't changed much since her last visit. The only difference was that the furnishings were more comfortable, but other than that he still looked as grungy as ever. The place was a little bit more disgusting, but really what was she going to expect from a drug user and dealer.

Inhaling deeply, she leaned forward and placed her head in her hands. The peak had long since left, but she could see feel the aftereffects of her drug. It was enough for her to make it through the rest of the night and the next day. But then she knew she would have to use again and she didn't want to have to start running to his house every night, eventually she knew that her cousin and brother would catch on. She didn't think they were that stupid, then again they had sat there for the past year ignoring all the warning signs of her sadness. She had completely hit rock bottom after her abortion, she had thrown herself and put everything she had into her dancing. She had started to sleep around with other guys to try to get the ache to go away. But no matter what she did, nothing took the ache away as well as her brown sugar.

She would have been just fine if he wouldn't have shown up. If Sasori would have just kept his damn distance, she would be just fine. She would be asleep in her bedroom back at her mother's apartment. She wouldn't be worrying about how her mother was faring, and she wouldn't be crashing at her brother's place with his girlfriend and roommate. She wouldn't be worrying them either. She would be just fine if he wouldn't have shown up at the dance studio.

Pushing herself up from the couch she glanced across the room to find her guy strewn across his floor completely passed out. Digging through her bag, she pulled out her wallet and grabbed a few twenties and tossed them on the coffee table. She knew that he would find them when he woke up. Sakura made her way toward the front door not bothering to look behind her. She had everything that she needed; she wouldn't have to come back anytime soon. Opening the front door she silently flipped the lock and closed it behind her.

The cold air hit her like a bag of bricks causing her to instantly feel a shiver go up her spine and her nose turn cold. Rubbing her arms trying to cause some friction to warm her already cold body up, she began her walk back to her brothers apartment, beyond happy that she had a copy of his key.

Itachi watched the TV idly. He was bored and at that moment he really couldn't think of anything better to do with his time. It was one of those rare moments where he actually considered entering a relationship and finally making his mother jump for joy and his father finally proud to say that his oldest son wasn't gay.

It was all the talk in the clan, because they never seen him with a female they all just assumed that he was into the same sex. Shuddering at the thought, Itachi picked up the remote and clicked it a couple times, making the television flash through channels. He had a strange urge to text Sakura, to see if she would like to come over but he wasn't entirely sure if she would be down to have quick shag. She wasn't really the type; they already saw each other enough as it was.

Groaning he stood up from his spot on his plush couch and made his way leisurely toward his kitchen. He might as well have a beer. He didn't have to go to work the next day considering it was a Sunday. A knock sounded as he opened up his refrigerator door. Raising an eyebrow he kicked the door shut and twisted open the bottle cap as he made his way around his kitchen island and toward the front hall.

Not bothering to look through the peep hole he unlocked the door and opened it as he took a large swig of his beer. Both eyebrows shot up as he caught sight of the purple haired Hana. The girl that his cousin swore existed to torment him for all of his sins. Wiping his mouth with his arm he motioned for the girl to come into the flat.

Hana briskly walked into the apartment wringing her hands. Itachi looked questioningly at her as she shifted her eyes and wrung her hands once more.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked nervously.

Hana's large eyes captured his and he couldn't help but lower the bottle onto his granite countertop.

"It's Sakura."

"What's wrong with Sakura?" He asked slowly, his eyes still on the purple haired girl.

"I think she's doing something bad. And, well..." She started nervously before turning and making her way toward his living room and taking a seat on the couch that he had earlier been sitting.

"Well what?" He asked following her.

"She had been through some bad shit last year. And I sort of messed up and said something that I should not have said to someone that she didn't want anything to do with, and well he went and seen her, and I guess after that she cracked and now she's staying at her brothers and then last night she disappeared."

Itachi blinked a couple times, letting her words sink in. None of it really made any sense, and it all sort of reminded him of something that he would have heard about when he was in high school.

"Itachi!" Hana said raising her voice, capturing his attention once again. "She needs someone. And it can't be me. She needs someone to pull her out of the black hole that I know she's sinking in." Tears were forming at the corners of her eyes as she grasped onto his bare arm. "Please."

"Listen..." He murmured as he slowly as slowly moved her dainty hands off his skin.

Hana's eyes widened as her hands fell away from him, she knew what he was going to say, he was going to say the same thing that Sasori had said a year ago when her best friend had been drowning. She hadn't known what had got her out of her slump, she knew that it had somewhat been because of her finding the pinkette's stash of heroin. She had felt so helpless at the time. Her best friend was slowly slipping away and she did the only thing that she could think of at the time. She had threatened to tell her brother and her mother. It had been like a slap in her best friends face, but it had thankfully woken her up. But now, she had disappeared, and she knew that whatever she said to her friend wouldn't help. She had turned against her last time, not even trying to help. She had seen the hurt on Sakura's face when she had threatened her. It was after that that she slowly quit seeing her best friends face. Sakura had distanced herself from everyone, throwing herself into her dancing and sex. It hadn't been until her cousin had told her about Shisui when she realized that she had been spiraling more than she could have ever thought.

She had told herself for months that having sex with random people was better than chasing the dragon. But then Sasori had seen Sakura again, and then he just had to find her and get her drunk and she just had to open her big mouth.

"No you listen!" Hana screamed letting the tears break free from the corner of her eyes. "She's suicidal! She does heroin and she disappeared! No one knows about her addiction except for me, she had stopped for the longest time, but I know she disappeared to go back to her dealer. You have to find her! She won't listen to me; she won't answer any of my calls! Itachi you have to find her, I know she's going to do something stupid! Please for the love of god, just do this for me."

"Hana… she seemed fine the last time I saw her. I think you're overreacting." Itachi said slowly as he rubbed the sobbing girls back.

"Will you please help find her?" She asked slowly as she wiped away the tears.

He opened his mouth to respond but quickly closed it. He didn't know what he should do; this was all just kinda too much for him. He and Sakura had an agreement that they were just fuck buddies. There had never been anything more to them than sex. He honestly didn't know what to do, he knew what he should do; he should call someone about the distressed girl that was currently standing in his kitchen.

Hana shook her head and yanked herself out of the Uchiha's grasp. Blinking a couple times she wiped her eyes again and made her way back to the front door and slipped her shoes back on and grabbed her bag that she had dropped on the floor when she had first arrived.

"Hana…" Itachi said speaking up, his eyes wide with surprise from her sudden movements.

"You obviously won't help." She said sniffing, "So I'm going to go find her myself."

"I'm sorry Hana… it's just me and Sakura… we just have sex. I don't think this is my place to go out and find her like this."

Letting out a laugh she glanced at the long haired Uchiha with dark eyes.

"You're a fool."

With that being said she turned her back to him and opened the door and left his apartment leaving him there to sit and think about what she had just confessed to him.

Shaking his head he grabbed the bottle that he had left on the counter and brought it to his lips, taking a long drink of the bitter liquid. Scratching his head, he walked into his living room and sat down on his futon. Popping his jaw he reached over to the coffee table and grabbed his phone. Pressing a few buttons he gazed down at the picture of the pink haired girl that he had taken when they had both still been in bed. Her face was scrunched up with humor. He couldn't help but admit that she was a gorgeous girl; her eyes were his favorite part about her. But other than them having sex he really didn't know much about her. He just knew what his younger brother had told him, and what his cousin had told him. She didn't look the type to abuse drugs, and to hate herself to the point where she would chose the selfish way out.

"God damnit." He sighed.

Taking another long drink of his bottle he sat it on his coffee table and stood up and grabbed a shirt that had been tossed half-hazardly on the back of his futon. Pressing the call button underneath the picture of the pinkette he brought the phone up to his ear as he slipped on his shoes and grabbed his jacket.

She didn't know why she couldn't bring herself to climb the stairs to her brother's apartment. Perhaps it was because she knew what was waiting for her on the other side of the door. The disappointed looks and the angry words. She didn't want to have to listen to any of it; all she wanted to do was disappear into the night. But she had no place to go; the only place was her guy's house. And she had already left there, but she knew that he would welcome her back over with open arms. He had always understood her in a strange way. He understood the way that she viewed the world. That the world wasn't full of bright and colorful things that it was really just a very dark place. She was living in a very dark place.

Bringing her hand up, she held her head. She could already feel herself needing another hit, and if she did it at her brothers then she would really be going through some shit. Pushing herself away from the wall that she had been leaning on she started to walk down the path opposite from her brother's apartment. She knew where she wanted to go.

An hour later she ended up at the park that she had used to play at when she had been younger. Children's swing sets stood lonely as the swings slowly moved with the wind. The inky lake that it had been built by called to her. She had always loved the way that the lake looked; it had always looked so peaceful. Stumbling her way down the hill she approached the lake and walked down the pier and placed herself at the edge of it.

Slowly she unfolded the package that her guy had given her and meticulously got everything ready. Pulling out her phone she gazed at the bright screen and the neon letters telling her that she had numerous missed calls and texts. Shaking her head sadly she slipped the phone back in her pocket and brought the straw up to her lips and inhaled.

Instantly she could feel her body relax and her sight go blurry. Inhaling once again she felt herself leaning forward, the comforting haze completely taking over her mind as something screamed at her from the dark recesses of it saying to wake up. She took no notice as the dark water consumed her. She just let herself fall into the deep abyss. She had never felt more peaceful.

Itachi pressed the call button on his phone once again as he walked toward one of the many parks in the area. He could hear her phone ring but she never picked up. It would always go directly to voicemail. He had been trying for the past hour and each time he called it would ring a few times and then he would hear her happy voice. He could hear the smiles in her voice as she said that she couldn't get to the phone right then.

Kicking a rock he walked into one of the least occupied parks in his area. It had always been his place to come and think, moving the phone away from his face he shook his head and pressed the end button. Moving his gaze away from the cellular device he stared into the distance and felt something in his chest. He could see a figure in the distance, and the flickering light of a lighter. He slowly moved forward, squinting his eyes as he tried to make out who and what the figure was. The closer he got the more he could feel his heart thump in his chest.

His eyes widening significantly as he watched the figure slump forward and slowly fall into the water. The feeling in his chest quickly turned to panic and then dread as he moved automatically toward the pier. Jogging down the wooden board walk he watched to see if the person would resurface, but as he reached the edge he watched in horror as he watched a bubble reach the surface.

He didn't know what exactly had come over him, but within seconds he had tossed his jacket off to the side and dived down into the murky lake. Almost instantly he touched the skin of the person that he had seen, and he could feel himself slowly start to freak out as he pulled the body towards his. The body didn't fight back, if anything it was heavy as if it wasn't even away. Breaking the surface he gasped for air and peered down at the head of the body that he had grabbed.

In a panic he swam to the edge of the pier and heaved the body of Sakura to the wooden surface. Pulling himself out of the water he quickly checked her vitals and then started to press on her chest and blow into her mouth. The entire time with him quietly mumbling to her to please wake up.

AN: Oh snap right? Yeah I know you hate me. Story only has one more chapter left. I felt as if this story needed to end. So yeah. Oh and sorry it has taken so long for me to update this. I've been ungodly busy.
