After they won the Giant War Annabeth couldn't take all the horrible memories. She forced herself to leave Percy. It hit Percy so hard. They moved on with there life finished high school, graduated college, and became working adults. But when Annabeth starts to regret her decision things get complicated. Will it work out? Well, after all happily ever-after doesn't exist.

Percy POV:

Seven years ago

"Oh, Percy! I just can't wait! I have dreamed about Prom since the fifth grade!" Ashley says to me excitedly. "It's going to be great." I say leaning over to kiss her.

When we arrive at Goode I get out of my car and go over and open Ashley's door. As we walk in holding hands she lifts her head from my shoulder and then looks somewhere. She then quickly turns the other way. "What is it?" I ask. "Oh- uh- nothing I just thought I heard someone's car alarm going off." she says. I immediately know she is lying. I turn to where she was looking and I feel like I was just hit with a bat in the gut. Ashley notices and then quickly ties to pull me to the door. "Percy. Come on lets go." Ashley says sternly.

Annabeth and her perfect boyfriend are kissing hard on the wall behind the door. I then explode. She left me. Started dating him. She won't even look at me. She tries to ignore me as much as possible. I then run over to Eric and push aside Annabeth. "Percy?!" she yells. I hold Eric up against the wall with my hand around his neck. "Why did you do it? You ruined my life and took the one and only girl I loved away from me!" I push Eric to the ground and punch him as hard as I can. I fight back tears. He then manages to escape from grasp and comes and punches me in my side. In the commotion Annabeth is trying to pull me off of him. Then Jason, Frank, Leo, and Grover. Come rushing out from inside. Frank and Jason come over to pull me away from Eric. Grover and Leo grab Eric and pull him away from me. "Percy!? Whats wrong with you, man?" Jason says to me. Annabeth then runs over to Eric and whisper to him and kisses him. They let go of me and Ashley comes over and doesn't say a word. She grabs my hand and leads me to my car. She doesn't speak for a while then I see her shake her head. "Ashley...I don't know what to say. I-I ruined the night of your dreams." I say "Percy- Stop. My night is perfect when I'm with you she says stroking my cheek. Please, can we just go back to your apartment?" she says. I nod and then start my car.
