Date: June 29
Time: 10:30pm
Place: Courtroom #7
Klavier:Name and occupation, Fraulein.
Christina:My name is Christina and I'm at student.
Judge:Witness, tell us why you were there at the scene of the crime.
Christina: School had finished for the day, so I was on the way home. I passed by the hotel on the way. I heard a scream and went to go check it out. When I got there I examined the body and picked up the knife. I didn't even know the victim, what reason could I have had to kill her?
Judge:Why did you pick up the knife?
Christina:I was curious as to what was on the crime scene and picked it up without thinking.
Judge:The defense may now begin its cross-examination.
Christina: School had finished for the day, so I was on the way home.
Me:Hold it.What time was it?
Christina:Well school ends at 3:15 but I had somewhere to be after school and didn't pass by the hotel until about 4:20.
Me:Where did you have to be?
Klavier:Objection. This has nothing to do with the case.
Judge:Objection sustained. You will drop this line of questioning.
Christina:I passed by the hotel on the way.
Me:Why did you pass by the hotel?
Christina:I was on the way home from school. I don't normally go that way but I had somewhere I needed to be.
Me:Where did you need to be?
Klavier:Objection. That has nothing to do with the case.
Judge:Objection sustained. Witness, continue your testimony.
Christina: I heard a scream and went to go check it out.
Me:Where were you when you heard the scream?
Christina:I was outside the building, I was walking home so I was passing the building.
Me:I request this be added to the testimony.
Judge:Very well. Witness, add this to your testimony.
Christina:I was outside the building, I was walking home so I was passing the building.
Me:Objection. It is impossible to hear it outside the building; the crime took place on the 3rd floor and was on the other side of the building.
Klavier:Objection. The scream was loud enough to be heard from there.
Me:Objection. No it's not or other people would have been there.
Judge:This is a contradiction. Witness, you will explain yourself.
Christina:Well, the truth of the matter is…umm….i was inside the building when it took place.
Judge:Then testify to the court, truthfully, about where you were and what you were doing.
Christina:I was in the building at the time of the murder. I admit I was even on the same floor. But as to what I was doing there, I cannot tell you.
Judge:You may begin your cross-examination.
Christina:I was in the building at the time of the murder.
Me:Hold it.Why didn't you tell the court about this before?
Christina:If I did I didn't think you would have believed me. I'm sorry. I admit I was even on the same floor.
Me:Hold it.Why were you on the 3rd floor?
Christina:I had something I needed to do. But as to what I was doing there, I cannot tell you.
Me:Hold it.Why can't you tell us?
Christina:It's a personal matter that does not relate to this.
Me: Objection.It is important.
Judge:You will tell us what you were doing there.
Christina: I cannot, I didn't want to do this but I plead silence regarding the reason I was there.
Judge:You can do that but it will not help you case. Are you sure?
Christina:Yes I stand by my plea of silence.
Judge: Very well does the prosecution have any more witnesses to present at this time?
Klavier:I have not prepared the other witnesses, I though the security lady would be decisive enough.
Judge:Then I give another day. I want the prosecution and defense to look into the matter the blunt object and look into the matter of the defendant's name on the paper. Court is adjourned.
