I gather my things together, making sure I have enough arrows to last me for a while. I heard my door open, it was Estel.

"*Have everything ready?*" he asked.

I frowned, "*I'm pretty sure, I have a change of clothes if need be, enough arrows…lots of hair ties.*"

He chuckled, "*Of course, it would be forbidden for you to have your hair down.*"

"*Ha. Ha. Ha.*" I said dryly, "*You on the other hand have perfect locks that stay out of your face 'Oh look at me, my hair flows out of the way'.*" I teased in a lower voice.

He shook his head while laughing, "*The reason I disturbed you, I heard you been spending time with Legolas.*"

I turned around, "*Yes I have, been training with him. You know that I can't keep idle for long periods of time, especially when my Big Brothers are not with me. And just because I couldn't go scouting doesn't mean I won't get my exercise.*"

(flashback)

"*I could have killed you just now,*" I said as I raised my sword again, "*Don't hold back!*"

He lunged again, "*I don't want to hurt you.*"

I laughed, "*You won't, not with the way you fight now.*"

He laughed, "*Good point but I do have a question.*"

"*Alright,*" I leaned against my sword, "*Ask away.*"

"*When I said the other day that I was rusty and you agreed to help,*" he looked down, "*I thought we would be fencing not tactical training.*"

I felt my cheeks get hot, "*I'm sorry. It's just I'm used to doing this back home. Usually when they say let's train, this is what we do, exert our selves to the point where we will be exhausted and sore tomorrow.*"

"*Whoa, why would you do that?*"

I shrugged, "*In battle here is no rest until you win or lose, it's the way I was taught. But we can fence, I haven't done that in centuries.*"

He laughed, "*You've had good trainers, I wasn't trained so heavily. But I do make that up in stamina.*"

I nodded, "*My Brothers trained me well, I can last longer in battled than Haldir but in no way as long as Orophin, at least not yet.*"

I raised my sword, as he did his; we started with easy blocking and offensive moves.

"*Growing up I trained with Aman, until Ada decided to get me my own trainer,*" he continued, "*I am pretty good but compared to you, I need work.*"

At that I laughed, "*No you are good as you are, I was trained differently and harder because it's in my blood.*"

"*The House of Warriors…you would be able to marry a royal um I mean,*" he blushed, "*I think we should call it a day, I heard I may have to go help scout.*"

I frowned, "*Why is everyone allowed to go scouting except me?*" I mumbled as I put my sword away.

He looked surprised, "*You're not allowed? Wait, you would have went with Aragorn, right? They left two days ago.*"

I nodded, "*I would have but I got told to stay here and take it easy. Like I wasn't doing that since I got here, that's why I am so eager to help you, I'm used to training or scouting. Not just sitting around being idle, I can't do it.*

He laughed and placed a hand on my shoulder, "*You are an amazing Lady Elf,*" than blushed again, he quickly took his hand off my shoulder.

I could feel my cheeks get hot, "*Um…thanks but what did I tell you before? D-don't call me Lady, I'm Leafling, just Leafling.*"

He laughed softly, "*Yes, I should know that by now. So…are you part of…the Fellowship?*"

I nodded, he suddenly looked really happy.

"*Same time tomorrow?*" he asked cheerfully.

"*Of course, we have to get you in shape before we leave,*" I teased.

He grinned.

(end of flashback)

"*But really, we trained three times than he had to go, I hardly count those as 'spending time'. We hardly talked.*" I shrugged.

"*What do you know about him?*" he inquired.

"*He has an older brother Aman and older sister Riel, he was lightly trained. Enough to be able to defend himself, so we worked on that. I found out that he doesn't want anything do to with the throne-why do you want to know anyway?*" I frowned, "*Why are you suddenly interested in my doings Little Brother?*"

He walked towards me, hands out in surrender, "*I have your best interests at heart Leafling-*"

I put my hand up, "*Stop, just stop please. I know where you're going with this, it's not like that. We are just friends Estel, nothing more.*"

He frowned. "*That's not what I seen that day.*"

For some reason I felt anger flare up inside me, "*What you seen was nothing, it didn't…mean anything,*" I said angrily.

"*I don't want to see you get hurt,*" he said softly, "*we are going on a dangerous journey Leafling. You shouldn't get attached to someone, especially someone you've just met. Look, I know how you must be feeling-*"

I stood up, "*No, no you don't! If you did you wouldn't be here right now. You don't know anything! What experience are you drawing this advice from? It very well can't be from yours!*"

"*I'm just telling you-*"

"*Telling me! Telling me, what? That I can't be friends with someone who doesn't meet your standards? That I can't be with someone that I choose?*" I yelled.

"*You may be older than I am but you truly have no experience in these type of things!*" He shouted, "*You can't just commit to being a-a consort-*"

"*The hell!*" I shouted, "*I agreed to nothing of the sort Estel! What gives you the right to assume something like that? We are just bloody friends! Do I have to ask for your kingly permission to be friends with someone? For the love of stars! Mind your own business!*"

He blanched, "*What…?*"

I threw my hands in the air, "*Out of my way Estel! I need some fresh air, and don't think about following me! I've had enough of you for one day!*"

I brushed past him, I felt a hand on my shoulder, I jerked away and burst through the door. In the corner of my right eye I saw someone coming down the hall, so I turned on my heel and rushed down the hall in the opposite direction. I was running away from the stairs but I was coming up to a window. So I jumped and burst through, I sailed and missed the tree I was aiming but landed in the smaller tree next to it. I slide down and kept running.

I stopped when I got to the river, I closed my eyes and pretended I was back home. Sitting on the bank fishing with Haldir and Rúmil, listening to the water flowing by, the low murmuring of us talking. I sunk to my knees, and curled into a ball, I don't know why but I felt so lonely for my brothers. The stupid argument echoed through my mind, I don't know why I got so hot headed, usually it was Orophin who was the hot head. Than I heard footsteps. I didn't make an effort to move, they stopped beside me and sat down.

"*Are you okay?*"

I looked up, it was Legolas, I looked away quickly.

"*Why?*" I whispered, "*Why did you tell them I was your consort?*"

"*I did not say such a thing, where did you hear that from?*" he asked shocked, "*I would not disrespect anyone, especially you, like that.*"

I turned to face him, "*I knew you wouldn't, somehow I knew…that was a lie. It disrespected you too...I got so mad when I heard it, I said some things I didn't mean…they can't be taken back-*"

My voice broke and I hid my face in my knees, tears slowly trailed down my cheeks. I felt an arm around my shoulders, without thinking I turned and buried my face in his shoulder. I cried silently, thinking about home, my family, the things I said to Estel. He rubbed my back, while saying soothing things in my ear, slowly my tears stopped. I kept my head there, listening to the beat of his heart. Than I heard a set of footsteps getting closer, I sat up, he gently wiped the remaining tears off my cheek. I gave him a small smile, than I curled back into a ball.

"*Leafling?*" said a voice behind me.

At this Legolas got up, "*Excuse me, good day Aragorn, Lady Leafling.*"

Out of the corner of my eye I watched Legolas get up and leave. I waited a few minutes before I spoke, "*About earlier-*"

"*No, it was my fault. Don't apologize Sister, I over heard what the maids were talking about. I should have known better than to believe them,*" he sat down beside me, "*I know you, I grew up with you. I'm sorry.*"

I looked at him, "*I'm sorry for the things I said, I didn't mean any of it, Little Brother. I shouldn't have gotten mad that fast.*"

He nodded, "*But you had the right, you were just defending yourself. Legolas seems like a good elf, I'm happy for you.*"

I felt my cheeks get hot, "*B-but it's not-*"

"*-like that,*" he finished while laughing, "*I know Leafling but…you never know. We do have a long trip.*"

"*Estel!*" I exclaimed.

He laughed, I glared at him before I laughed along with him.

"*Come on, lets make sure you have everything ready to go for tomorrow,*" he got up and leaned over extending a hand, "*Lets go M'Lady.*"

"*M'Lady my ass,*" I muttered as I got up.

He laughed as we made our way back.

I stood quietly outside looking at the stars, we were all ready to go, Sam was talking to Bill and making sure everything was tied on tightly. Then a blast of a horn shattered the quiet of the night, I looked back.

"I would not sound the horn until you rest in the land of Gondor once more," Elrond warned.

"But I will not go like a thief in the night, I sound the horn at the beginning of my journey and at the end," Boromir placed the horn back on his belt, "In times of battle and in times of great need."

I turned and saw Estel walking towards me, "*Are you ready?*"

I nodded, "*As ready as I'll ever be, I understand why we must travel at night but I don't like it. You can't look back and see the splendour of Imladris one last time.*"

He laughed quietly, "*You were always one for views.*"

"*Yes, I traveled all over Middle Earth and certain views are the reason I always come back, that and the people,*" I smiled, "*But mostly the people.*"

He clapped me lightly on the shoulder, "*I like what you did to your hair.*"

With that he walked off and stood beside Boromir, I smiled and grasped the hilt of my dagger, I'm anxious to get going.

"*What did you do to your hair? You usually keep it in a ponytail.*" said a soft voice behind me, "*And its wavy.*"

I turned my head it was Legolas, the small braid by my left ear swung gently, "*It's inspired by a young man I once knew.*"

"*Oh? And whom is this person?*" there was a slight edge to his voice.

I bit back a grinned, "*Someone I once knew. His hair was naturally wavy and he kept it in a half ponytail, it still got messy though.*"

"*How did you get it wavy?*" he stood beside me, "*I know your hair is perfectly straight.*"

I raised an eyebrow, his faced slightly pinked, I couldn't help but grin, "*Braids, lots and lots of braids. It took a long time, I am not going to do this hairstyle again, tell you that much.*"

Just then Gandalf motioned for us to come over.

"Farewell, may you have a safe journey and may all of you return someday," Elrond said as he bowed.

I noticed Bilbo saying good bye to the Hobbits, I walked over.

"Ah now here's a familiar sight," Bilbo smiled, "You copied it perfectly, he would love it...have a safe journey Leafling, please return."

I bend down on one knee, "Don't worry, I plan to."

He gave me a brief hug before I got up, I turned to Elrond, he smiled and patted my head, "*Be safe, this is just not another Ranger Mission.*"

"*I know and I will, don't worry. I have to return to wreck havoc in your house but, I'll leave the fountain alone,*" I joked.

He gently smiled then rested his hand on my shoulder, "*Don't let the fate of the one before you become yours.*"

I knew immediately who he was talking about, I nodded sharply before following everyone else out of the gates. I found myself walking beside Gimli, who looked at me.

"Humph, your hairstyle reminds me of someone I knew growing up, bah imagine that," he mumbled.

I couldn't help but chuckle, "I should hope so."

He glared at me but didn't say anything, he sniffed in indignation and walked ahead of me. I rolled my eyes.

"What is that for?" Legolas asked as he appeared by my side.

"I can't picture Gimli as Glóins son, I met him once, hard on the outside but never that rude," I sighed, "I guess all dwarfs are different in manners, ha I remember their table manners and they restrained themselves somewhat too."

"Are you talking about Thorin and his company? You mean you met them before?" He asked, his eyes wide.

"Yes, I happened to be here when they arrived, the only ones who talked to me at first were Bilbo, Fíli and Kíli..." I trailed off.

We walked in silence for a while.

"Are you ever going to tell me who this, young man is?" he asked in a tight voice.

I looked at him in amusement, the jealously in his tone was evident but, I was still caught off guard by it.

"He was a good friend, in the short time I knew him. His name was Kíli." I said.

Gimli gave a small grunt of surprise, I knew he was listening.

"Last I seen him, he was off to reclaim his homeland...leaving by this way too. I thought I would pay him and his brother homage," I raised my hand and touched the metal clasped that held my hair back, "He always had his hair like this...I figured it was a way to start my own journey."

Legolas gave me a wondrous look, "*Y-you mean you styled your hair like a dwarf?*"

I raised my eyebrow, "*Yes, what of it?*"

"*I did not mean no disrespect, I just never heard of an Elf and a Dwarf having a close friendship like that, it surprise me although, nothing about you should surprise me,*" he shyly smiled realizing how that sounded.

"*I know, it is surprising considering at the time Thorins dislike for Elves was very evident and yet here I was making friends with his nephews.*" I laughed,"*It sounds almost impossible, if I think about it...you know they told me after they reclaimed their homeland they would come back and get me, to show me where they came from.*"

Actually it was Kíli who said that, Fíli just agreed. I stopped talking and gazed up into the sky and thought back...

*flashback-memory*

I stopped walking, "*What? There are Dwarfs here? Really Lord Elrond?*"

"*Yes but please don't bother them,*" he pleaded, "*The leader of their company is Thorin Oakensheild, I know you heard of him.*"

"*Oh yes, the Dwarf who thinks every Elf is like King Thranduil,*" I rolled my eyes, "*The King under the Mountain, to reclaim his homeland...their homeland. Can I talk to them?*"

Elrond frowned slightly, "*Let them adjust first, I have a feeling they will be staying a while.*"

I sighed, "*Fine, fine. I'm guess you are off to dinner right now? Hey! Is that a Hobbit?*"

I quickly dashed up the hallway and hid behind a pillar as I watched the group walk pass, it was easy to pick him out, the smallest and less hairy one of them all.

I heard someone chuckle behind me, "*Yes Leafling, he is in deed a Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins of the Shire.*"

"*Oh the Shire,*" I sighed in longing, "*One place I would love to visit, he looks like he's right comfortable here, it is alright if I speak to him afterwards?*"

"*Yes I suppose if your need is dire,*" he lightly teased, "*I must go, our guests are waiting, please excuse me.*"

I bowed as he left, I blew some hair out of my face than leaned against the railing, pouting.

"*Why the sad face Little Leaf?*"

I turned, "*Good Evening Elladan, you're all dressed up. Let me guess you're allowed to go to the supper?*"

He laughed, "*I should hope so, my Ada is after all the host. Just because you are not allowed to attend does not mean you cannot attend. See you later.*"

I rolled my eyes and muttered, "*Never go to an Elf for counsel for they will say both yes and no.*"

I went back to leaning over the railing, and I thought about what Elladan just said. I bit my lip than slowly walked down and followed the voices that came from down the hall, I hid behind the pillar closest to the table that the Dwarfs sat at. I studied them, they didn't seem to like the greens that were prepared for the supper. All of them had thick beards, some even had braids in them! Expect one dark haired Dwarf, he had no beard to speak of, the blonde beside him had a small beard, they must be the youngest.

The dark haired beardless one smiled and winked at Silme, the harp player who in turn looked down her nose at him. He turned away and looked at the bald one.

" I can't say I fancy Elf Maids myself, too thin. They are all high cheek bones and creamy skin," he turned to one with a very wide hat, "Not enough facial hair for me, although, that one there is not bad."

He motioned towards Elladan, I barely stifled a high pitched giggle, he looked in my direction. Than the bald one spoke.

"That's not an Elf Maid," he said in a very gruff voice.

The beardless one looked at him with shock and slight disgust colouring his cheeks, the ones around them burst out laughing.

"Well, well, well Kíli my lad," said a white haired one, "I did not know you liked-"

"Please don't finish that sentence, it was a mistake, they all look the same!" The one called Kíli cried as he pick some food up and threw it at the white haired one.

They all burst out laughing again, the blonde one patted him on the shoulder and said something in a low murmur. I turned my attention to Elladan and could barely control my laughter again, Elf Maid.

"Okay, that's enough of this music," said the one in the wide hat and jumped on the table, "There was an inn..."

I had to get away from there, lest I give myself away from laughing. I slipped off quietly and got farther away before I let myself laugh hard. I was holding my stomach.

"So you're the one I seen behind the pillar," said a voice behind me.

I whirled around, "You seen me?"

He smirked, "No but I seen someone standing there and I heard a giggle. You don't look much like the other Elves, you look bigger."

I straightened up, "Well! I may have more muscle tone than the average Elf Maid," I huffed, "But I am an Elf!"

"Not to mention your clothes..." He trailed off, "They hug very snug."

I grew self conscious and drew my arms around my stomach, "I'm not fat!"

He looked taken back, "Th-that's not what I meant-"

"That's very fine coming from someone who can't tell female from male!" I snarled, "You don't just come up to someone and say they look big! Maybe that's fine where you hail from but it sure isn't here."

I turned on my heel and sped walked to the railing, stupid Dwarf...I'm not…big...I heard footsteps behind me but I kept going. With a small jump I lifted myself over the railing and sailed through the air and landed gracefully on my hands and knees.

"Wait!" he called.

I stood up and walked away, stupid Dwarf, why did I want to meet them? I walked until I reached the front garden, I sighed as I felt the wind through my hair, I sat on the balcony railing and watched the sun slowly set.

"Excuse me," said a low voice.

I blinked than looked down, it was the Hobbit.

"Sorry to interrupt you but um I heard you don't live in Rivendell," he said shyly.

I smiled gently, "No I do not, I am just visiting. I am Leafling Hazelwood of Lorien."

"Bilbo Baggins of the Shire," he bowed slightly, "Very nice to meet you."

"As I you, tell me if you don't mind. How did you meet up with Thorin and Co?" I cocked my head, "If I heard right you have a place to call home, whilst they don't."

"It's an adventure of sorts and they need a burglar." He sorta shrugged.

"I see, I love adventures myself. I can imagine their excitement in reclaiming their homeland," I sighed and looked into the distance.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

I laughed, "Am I truly that easy to read? Rúmil was right after all...well, they have a place to call their homeland, I on the other hand do not."

His eyes widened, "Really? But I thought Lorien..."

"It's a place I grew up, not where I am from. I have no homeland," I paused, "So I know how Thorin feels about this quest."

Just than someone cleared their throat. I looked up it was the blonde and the one called Kíli. I wonder how much they heard.

The blonde cleared his throat again, "I believe my Brother owns you an apology from earlier. He told me what he said, the whole table over heard and thought it was hilarious. But I heard that you are a guest as well."

He elbowed Kíli in the rib, who huffed at him than he strutted forward. He stopped right on front of me, straightened his back and looked right at me. From his posture I could tell he was Thorins nephew, he also looked frustrated and I could tell he was biting his lip. I rolled my eyes.

"You don't have to apologize, I can see that it's degrading for you to have to say sorry to an Elf," I said with a sigh, "Go back and enjoy your supper and forget about it."

He let out a sigh of relief, his brother looked sharply at him than walked forward.

"Fíli at your service," he bowed.

I raised an eyebrow, "Leafling at yours," I bowed my head.

The one named Kíli looked shocked, "H-how did you know that?"

"Know what?" I asked as I swung my legs over the side so I was property facing them.

"How to greet a Dwarf, most Elves just say a weird saying or something." He replied.

"I've done a lot of traveling in my day, young Kíli and met my share of Dwarves. Who I may add were wonderful to talk to, they did not seem mind talking to me," I smiled at the memory, "I was delighted to find out we were housing Dwarfs for a time but, now not so much. Just so you know these aren't my clothes that's why they are fitting snug," I covered my stomach with my arms, "Elladan is taller and thinner than I."

"Well I, personally think you look fine," said Bilbo shyly.

I smiled bemusedly at him, "Thank you, now if you excuse me I'm going to change back into my Rangers clothes."

"Ranger?" Fíli looked both shocked and impressed, "Really?"

"Yes, been so for many years now," I smiled.

"How old are you?" Kíli asked.

I stood up, "How old are you?"

"I am seventy seven," he answered proudly.

I chortled, "Lets put it this way young Dwarf, I am centuries older. Now if you would please excuse me, oh. Bilbo have you seen our library?"

He shook his head, "No, I haven't been here that long."

I laughed, "I suppose so, if you're done with your dinner follow me and I'll show you. Good Evening Kíli and Fíli."

I bowed and motioned for Bilbo to follow me but I was stopped by a hand on my leg.

"Would you tell me err us some stories of your travels later on?" Kíli asked with pinked cheeks.

I held back my expression of shock, "If I'm not busy, I'll sent word with Lindir."

I bowed once more before walking away, with Bilbo right behind me.

I walked down the stairs looking for Elrond, Elldan said he was walking around the gardens. I hard voices carrying on the wind so I followed them. I turned the corner and found him.

"*Lord Elrond!*" I yelled as I walked over, "*I been looking for you.*"

Then I heard splashing and I turned looked at the fountain and quickly adverted my eyes. The Dwarfs were bathing in the garden fountain, the fountain of all places...

"Leafling!" yelled an excited voice.

I turned slightly and saw a half naked Kíli running towards me, I turned away.

"Morning Leafling, are we still up for our contest today?" he asked excitedly.

"Um yes I was just on my way to the archery court to get the targets up, perhaps we should continue this conversion when you have your clothes back on," I glanced back at him.

His faced turned bright red as he tried to cover himself as he backed up, "Ah um yes I-I'll meet you th-there."

I glanced at Lindir and Elrond, "*Well um, good morning.*"

Lindir had a shocked expression, "*I'm sorry you had to see this.*"

I waved it off, "*I've seen worst, after all I do travel a lot. Usually I just block it from memory...Lord Elrond will it be alright for Kíli and I to use an archery range?*"

He nodded, "*I see no problem with this, just make sure to clean up when you're done.*"

"*We will,*" I bowed my head and made a beeline down the hall, away from the fountain and ran over Bilbo.

"Oh sorry Bilbo, I didn't see you right away," I apologize as I picked him up.

"Don't worry, what are rushing away from?"

I motioned with my head, "Dwarfs in the fountain."

His mouth dropped open, "I didn't think they would really do it!"

I rolled my eyes, "Figured, I'm on my way to the archery range, if you want to see how real archery is done."

"What's that suppose to mean?" a voice huffed.

I grinned, "Your shirts backwards Kíli, lets go."

I walked down the hall to my favourite archery range, every target was far away, in trees, close to the ground, swinging.

"Wow," Bilbo breathed.

"You can say that again," Kíli muttered.

Fíli strolled in, "So this is where you ran off to K-wow, is this were you practice Leafling?"

"Yes, those ropes control the closest four swinging targets and the ropes by Bilbo control the last five swinging targets. Twenty arrows, ready?" I looked at Kíli who nodded.

I quickly loaded and shot three arrows before Kíli shot one, I grinned as my arrow shot through two targets. I aimed for the farthest ones, determined to beat my last record. I shot bullseye after bullseye pretending I was with Haldir shooting down hob-goblins. I reached back only to find my quiver was empty. I looked over at Kíli, he had six arrows left.

Fíli whistled, "You're good Leafling, really good. How are you at sword fighting?"

I shrugged, "Good enough, not as good as my older brother Orophin yet."

"If that's the case, I challenged you to a duel before we leave," Fíli preposed.

"I accept," I vowed, "Gladly, I need practice."

I looked at Kíli who was studying the targets, "I don't need to count to know that...you...won, I thought you were just being smug when you said 'see how real archery is done', I wish I was that good."

I smiled, "Well you're welcome to use the ranges if you keep them clean when you're done, until you leave. Elladan or I will be glad to help out."

Just than he blushed.

I bit back laughter, "Of course you could just find me."

I watched as the Company gathered their packs and readied the ponies. Thorin walked towards me, I kept my ground.

"I-I would like to thank you for helping Kíli with his archery. He had improved greatly," he slightly bowed his head.

I bowed back, "It has been my pleasure, he is a very good student."

With that he turned on his heel and stalked back to stand with Dwalin. I felt a tug on my shirt, I looked down, it was Bilbo.

"I guess this is farewell for now Bilbo Baggins," I knelt down, "Have a safe journey and...please come back."

He hugged me, "I will, after all I have a book to write once I return."

I stood up and watched him join the group, someone cleared their throat beside me.

"Safe travels young Dwarfs, keep each other safe," I said.

"Once this is over will you come to Erebor? I um we would like to show you where we come from," Kíli said shyly.

"Yes would you?" Fíli asked.

I nodded, "Sounds like a plan."

They both smiled, Fíli walked ahead but Kíli held back. He looked at me, then he reached up and took something out of his hair, "Here."

I held out my hand, it was a metal hair clasp, "Wait, don't you need this?"

He shook his head, "No, Uncle gave me and Fíli matching ones, which I'm wearing right now. That one I made, now I have an excuse to come back here."

I have him a confused look.

"I usually have two in my hair and, oh look I lost one. I must have lost it at Rivendell." He grinned, "Well I have to go back and find it. Hopefully you will be here, than we will both travel back to Erebor."

I closed my hand around the clasp, "Okay, only if I'm here when you return," I winked, "Safe travels Kíli ."

He lunged forward and gave me a hug, I knelt down and hugged him back.

"Just so you know, I never thought you were big," he whispered in my ear, "I just wanted to talk to you."

With that he broke away and ran towards everyone else, I stood up and walked away. I walked up to the window facing North East, and stood there until I saw the Company slowly making its way up the Mountain, one rider looked back and waved, I waved back.

*end flashback-memory*

I tripped over a rock on the path, a hand gently grabbed my arm.

"*You okay?*" Legolas asked.

"*Yes, I'm good.*" I grinned as I felt my cheeks get red, "*I'm just thinking, I should pay attention to where I'm walking. We should be coming up to Ford of Bruinen soon, from there we will cross country.*"

Legolas smiled, "*You look pretty when you blu-ah!*"

He quickly turned his head but I saw the tips of his ears were red. I looked away, smiling.
