A/N: First of all, sorry for the confusion I must have caused! I forgot that I didn't post this one yet (Deal is chapter 7). But here's chapter six, all done! Yay!

Chapter 6: Monster

I paced the small room, glancing at the door every so often. "Come on, Dad." I muttered angrily. "It's been a month."

I heard a scream, and ran to the window. A swirling column of black smoke shot into the sky. Looking down, I saw three men standing around a man's body. The man with the long coat looked up, and for a moment, his eyes seemed to glow, and... were those wings?

I closed my eyes for one second, and when I opened them I was standing next to Angel Man. "Hello Elizabeth." He greeted me, staring at me. The other two men held up their shotguns and pointed them at me. Angel Man took my wrist, pushing back my sleeve. "Dean, Sam, put your guns down. She's human... mostly."

"Mostly?" The shorter one growled. "What is she, half monster?"

"Don't be ridiculous." I huffed. "Ow!" Angel Man wiped a bloody knife on his coat. "Sorry. Blood such as yours is precious, even when diluted. It comes in handy sometimes."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Her blood?" The taller one stared warily at the cut on my arm, watching each drop of crimson fall into the small phial Angel Man held. "Cas, what's so special about some random girl's blood?"

'Cas' stared into my eyes. "Elizabeth is anything but ordinary, Sam. She comes from an ancient, almost extinct line."

"How do you know?" I whispered.

Cas' eyes glowed bright blue. "I am an Angel of the Lord; I know many things."

"An angel, huh? And your friends?"

"Humans."

"We're hunters." Sam clarified. He held out his hand, smiling tightly. "I'm Sam Winchester."

"Elizabeth Jones."

The other one- Dean, I assumed- glared at me. "What's going on here, Cas? Why's her blood so important to us?"

"It can kill both demons and angels."

"I thought nothing could kill demons, besides the knife."

"I didn't know there were any of her kind left. They're practically extinct."

"Three," I whispered. "Only three of us: me, my dad, and my brother."

"I am terribly sorry." Cas said, taking my hand, and encasing it in his. "Especially since you've only known your family a few short years."

I took my hand away. "I don't talk about it much. I only want to find my brother."

Dean sighed. "Cas, are we done here? I want to get back on the road before we lose the trail."

"I'm coming with you." I stared at Cas. "It could be years until my dad comes back; I'm not just going to sit around doing nothing for five years."

Dean rolled his eyes. "Look sweetheart-"

I glared at Dean. "Don't call me 'sweetheart'. I don't care who you are, or what you do, but you will use my name when you are talking to me, do you understand?"

"Okay Miss Feisty-pants."

"That's enough, Dean. She has been through many trials in her life."

Sam put his hand on Dean's shoulder, gripping it tightly. "Dean, I'm sure Elizabeth can take care of herself. She looks quick, and she has a knife strapped to her leg."

Dean stared at my leg, and his eyes moved up the rest of my body. When out eyes met, he was smiling, his mouth partway open. I folded my arms, my face burning.

"Yeah, sure. It'd be good to have an extra set of eyes."

I blew out a sigh of relief. "Great. I'll just go get-" A duffel bag materialized at my feet. "Everything should be in there." Cas said. I bent over and unzipped the bag. Several changes of clothes plus toiletries were packed tightly, plus the colt Killian gave to me when I was sixteen.

"Th- thanks."

"You're welcome. Now let's go."

I trailed behind the three men, following them through alleys. "You know, there are easier ways to get out of town."

"Well, if you got any good ideas, just let 'em out."

"First of all, I think you'd be in a better mood if you had something to feed that monster in your stomach." Dean's stomach rumbled insistently again, proving my point. "There's a restaurant and a small hotel not far from here."

"Fine," Dean growled. "Let's go get some stupid food." He turned around, pushing me aside.

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." I mumbled.

"He's just... stressed." Sam put his hands into his pockets. "He came back from Hell a month ago, and it's been a little hard for him."

"He came back from where?"

"Hell. I know, it may seem confusing, but-"

"I don't care about the details. Just...who are you all?"

"I told you, we're-"

"Hunters, yeah, but what do you hunt?"

"Demons." Cas said. "And the occasional Angel."

"But you're an Angel."

"Not all of my brothers are as loyal as I am to our Father."

"Huh. So, after you three catch up on sleep, where are we headed?"

"Well, we were on the trail of a werewolf, but it's disappeared."

My eyes widened, thinking of Ruby. "Sam, you can't kill this one."

"Why not?"

"She's my friend." I replied swiftly, and took off toward the diner. "Hey!" Sam called, running after me. "Hey, wait!"

The Angel appeared in front of me. "I'm sorry to do this, Elizabeth."

"What-"

He reached out with two fingers and touched my forehead. My eyes rolled into the back of my head and I slipped into unconsciousness.

I woke up chained to the inside of a car. "Wha-"

"Sorry sweetheart. But Sam insisted."

"Hu- Dean?"

"Yeah. Don't about your monster friend; she'll go nice and easy."

"No!" I shouted, yanking on the handcuffs. "You can't kill Ruby!"

"Excuse me?!"

Dean turned around in the driver's seat. "What did you call that monster?"

"Her name is Ruby." I spat. "And she's not the monster; you are!"

Dean smacked my face, splitting my bottom lip open. "I am not a monster." His voice shook, though, so I wasn't so sure he believed it himself. "I'm not a monster."

I closed my eyes, tears threatening to spill. "If you let my friend live, you won't have to be one." I whispered. "So please, don't kill her."

"I can't."

"Please, Dean!"

"No!"

I sat back, staring at the back of his head. "Then you truly are the monster you believe you are." I said quietly. Angry, Dean left me in the car, stomping away. I sighed. Was everyone going to leave me?

Someone tapped on the side window. "Emma!" I shouted. She picked the lock, and opened the door, pulling me out as well. "Elizabeth, what- are you handcuffed?!"

"Ruby," I breathed. "Ruby's in trouble!"

"Not anymore. Man, those guys are nuts!"

"Emma, I need you to let them go."

"What? They tried to kill Ruby; I'm not letting them out free."

"They're my ticket out here, Emma. I'll make sure they don't harm anyone in this town, I swear. We can leave tonight."

Emma sighed. "Liz, you're my friend. I can't just let you go off with three lunatics."

"I'll be fine," I assured her. "I'll try to visit every few months, if I can."

Emma used the wire in her hands to pick the handcuffs. I massaged my wrists, staring blankly at the red marks they made. "You better visit, Jones. Cause if you just show up one day, three years from now, I'll make sure you never leave again."

"Is that a threat, Miss Swan?" I joked. Emma smiled tiredly. "No, that's a promise." She stood up, brushing her hands. "Now come on; let's go get your boys, before I change my mind."
