Sanji
Sanji woke up to the feeling of soft strong hands massaging his scalp. He hummed happily ,almost purring like a cat, loving the good rub, before remembering where he was. He jerked up suddenly causing the chair, that had been his bed, to tip backwards with him in it. Strong arms thrust forward steadying him and the chair, and saving him from one embarrassing fall ,and one good reason to just give up on the whole day.
He looked at Zoro appreciatively but he only stared back at him with a guilty expression. "Sorry i didn't mean to scare you," Zoro said rubbing the back of his head awkwardly and looking apologetic. Sanji frowned at him wondering if maybe he had hurt his head yesterday too. "You didn't scare me shitty marimo," Sanji argued. I'm not scared of anything... Except spiders and other gross bugs, but who isn't scared of those? Zoro raised a mocking brow but his smart comment was cut off before it could even begin by Law entering the room. Law stared at them amusement written all over his face,"Am I interrupting ladies?" he asked a mocking grin plastering his lips.
Sanji then realized Zoro still had a hold of him and during the almost fall had drug him halfway into his lap. He blushed quickly jerking his arm out of the marimo's massive hands and slumped back onto the chair acting like nothing had even happened. Law chuckled to himself as Zoro decided their were far more interesting things out the window and turned from them to stare out it.
Chopper then came charging into the room looking flustered and wide eyed. "He's here!" he yelled his little body shaking. Law frowned in disapproval as the small boy took cover under the hospital bed.A knock on the door had everyone's attention off of the cowardly child. While everyone stared at the door like it would open anytime and suck them into a different dimension, Sanji decided it was time to show his manliness and casually strolled over to the door and cracked it open.
Before the blond could even decide whether or not to look through the crack, the door swung open all the way causing him to stumble back. Someone came rushing through and grabbed Sanji by the shirt and roughly shoved him against the wall. His surprised cry was swallowed up as the intruder started to kiss him hungrily. By the tone of the mystery person's body, Sanji could tell he was in fact a man, and pushed against his chest desperately. The man growled grabbing Sanji's wrist and holding them against the wall behind him. Sanji wiggled his arms and kicked the mans legs out from under him. The perv fell to the floor with a grunt.
Sanji took the opportunity to escape closer to Zoro who looked like a chained vicious dog glaring at the man. Law sighed pinching the bridge of his nose, "Eustass-ya what are you doing here?" he sighed suddenly looking more tired than usual. The red head stood up looking annoyed and confused, "I came to see my boyfriend, but he decided to kick me when I tried to give him a wonderful welcome kiss" he stated staring accusingly at Law. Sanji bristled scrunching up his face in anger, "I am not your boyfriend" he said sitting by Zoro and taking his hand.
Eustass turned to him his look utter disgust, "not you princess not everything is about you" he growled. Then turning his head to the side with a snooty gesture, "besides you are nowhere near my type" he stepped closer to Law putting a possessive arm around the doctor. Why is everyone calling me a princess? I'm a man damnit! Before he could throw his manly temper tantrum, or worse throw himself at the pervert red headed bastard,Zoro spoke up yelling what Sanji was yelling inside,"You kissed Sanji!" Is that jealousy I'm detecting? Oh ho ho little marimo...
"Kidd..." Chopper started finally crawling out of his hiding spot, but the obnoxious man cut him off with a deadly glare. Choppers mouth snapped shut and he retreated back under the bed. Kidd's eyes then rested on Sanji and his face turned to a snear, " I thought you seemed different Law" Kidd said.If he seemed different don't you think you should have stopped then!? Law gave Kidd the scariest look he had ever seen, which was pretty damn scary sense he lived with a crazy old man most his life. Kidd's face turned a ghostly white, and he inched himself away from the man slowly looking like a hurt puppy.
"Go home" Law commanded his voice low and threatening. Kidd looked hurt, but obviously he knew it was coming and looked around in defeat. The red head said a good bye to Chopper, then turned to Law and frowned before exiting the room. His grumbles could be heard down the hall, but the only thing audible was something about stupid blonds. The door closed with a silencing thud and the room went still and quiet. Then as if nothing happened, Law turned to Zoro and told him the news about his eye. Zoro didn't really seem to care and smirked slightly when he was told there would be a scar. At the mention of the prosthetic eye he frowned clearly not liking the idea.
Law wrote something down in his notepad and ripped it out handing it to Zoro. "This is where you'll be taking physical therapy" he stated. Sanji glanced at the paper reading the weird name aloud," Moria's physical rehab"
"You start next week" Law said, "And you can't drive until the physical therapist allows it" Law's face was stern and clearly said no talk back. His gaze shifted to Sanji as if to say this is your job. You will not let him drive was written all over his face. He nodded at the doctor, of course he wouldn't let his little marimo go out and get killed driving.
With that Law turned and walked out of the room. A thump and squeak echoed from underneath the bed and soon Chopper shot out from under it running after Law. He ran into the door falling back on his butt. A blush tinted his cheeks and he dusted himself off, opened the door, and casually exited the room."Looks like you will have to put up with me longer" Zoro grinned holding up his physical therapy paper. Sanji stared at the paper, and let out an over exaggerated sigh,"seems that way" he said looking disappointed. Zoro frowned his eyebrows raising before a feral smile crossed his lips and he ruffled Sanji's hair. Sanji whined manly trying to fix the mess and soon realized a shower was heavily needed.
He took out his phone and text the shitty old man telling him to bring him some clothes.Get your own damn clothes was the assholes reply, but he brought them anyways. Sanji accepted the clothes happily and Zeff left shortly after claiming his kitchen was calling him. When the old man presence had left, Sanji turned to Zoro and told him he needed to clean the stank off his ass. Zoro had chuckled telling him it was about time he did, that Sanji replied to with simply sticking his tongue out childishly.
So there Sanji was, staring at the small shower the hospital provided in each patients room. He would much rather have his own shower to bathe in with its jet setting and ocean blue curtain, but obviously that wasn't an option. He pealed off his favorite, now ruined clothes with disgust and stepped into the hot jets of water. The water calmed his nerves and felt quite nice on his skin. The tension soon left his body as if washed away by the water. Twenty or so minutes later he stepped out of the shower with a content huff. He dried himself off quickly and soon he looked himself again, no blood and no messy hair. Dressed and fabulous he stepped out of the bathroom with a smirk.
He was met by a bouncing rubber ball of energy, it wrapped itself around Sanji in a deadly bear hug. He cried out in surprise before realizing it was Luffy. Usopp smiled at him shyly from Zoro's bedside, as Sanji pried Luffy off of him. The boy bounced off and retreated over to Zoro. Zoro looked at the teen and smiled a smile he kept hidden only for Luffy. Sun leaked into the room from the window outside giving the room more warmth. The world seemed fine like it had forgotten the disaster that had just occurred yesterday.
Hizo
In an alley on the east side of the city was a man who had just been kicked out of the second bar that night. He couldn't help it that when he got a little liquor people agitated him more, and before he knew it his fist would be connected with their face. Said man stumbled down the alley holding his stomach as it did flips and awkward turns. One of them had kicked the shit out of him and the alcohol didn't seem to help any. This is all Zoro's fault echoed in his head often. If he hadn't encountered the boy then he wouldn't have had to go drink so much. He couldn't help it, this was how his mind worked. Don't blame yourself blame others.
He slipped on dirty alley water, fell against the old brick wall, and allowed himself to slide to the ground. The liquid seeped into his pants from the wet stone and he prayed to any all mighty god that it was not piss. "Also that blond" he yelled surprising himself that he had spoken at all. He punched the wall harshly and a rat went screeching down the alley away from him. This startled him and he realized if he was attacked there was no way to defend himself. He blew this thought off not really a worry wart, if the time came he would figure something out.
His stomach clenched and he turned to the side and puked his guts out. With little energy, wobbly knees, and short hitched breaths he stood slowly inching further down the alley using the wall for support. Once the terrible smell of the vomit was gone and his mind had cleared a little he chose not to sit but to lean against the wall instead. That is it I am done drinking! This kind of shit always happens when I drink! His own thoughts caused him to flinch as the image of his late wife entered his head. He had been drunk that night as well. The woman was a beautiful blond haired goddess with bright golden eyes and a sparkling white teeth. The image changed to a beautiful woman that was no longer alive and smiling, but was covered in blood and tears. Her once bright eyes turned dull and lifeless.
Hizo screamed bashing his head against the wall. He loved her and yet he had killed her. She didn't even hate him for it either. To the last breath her eyes held nothing but love and understanding for him. Any normal damn person would hate their killer, but no she decided not to hate him. Then why did I kill her? He had never understood this one thing. All he knew was after going out and getting drunk for the first time he had come home not in the right mind. She was there disappointment written all over her face. Still it held love it always held love. Not really thinking much he got this sudden urge to know why she was like this, and he figured the only way to know was to examine her inside and out. It sounded stupid to him now.
Before he knew it he was on top of her cutting and stabbing her over and over. A beautiful scarlet red had oozed from her body onto his hands and soaked into the carpet. She had lost her beautiful color and turned a pale white, and then she was gone. Cold and lifeless as she stared at nothing. Before he had realized what he was doing it was too late she was already like this. Why am I remembering this? Hizo punched his head screaming trying to make the pain go away.
"Dad what did you do to mom?" in front of him now stood Zoro. He had always been closer to his mother. He opened his mouth to tell the ghost of his path the truth, but snapped it shut instead. Nothing he could say would change it. Zoro from two years ago crouched down next to his mother cradling her in his arms a steady stream of tears on his face. Hizo just stared he had seen this many times. It haunted him. He then got up leaving the crying teen, and dead mother to call the police. He had told them frantically, that a person had broke into his house and killed his wife. They asked him insignificant questions before telling him they will be there soon and hanging up. He had power and people and knew he could easily cover this up.
The authorities arrived and Zoro immediately tried to turn into a rat on him, telling them what he had done. Hizo claimed the boy was traumatized and wasn't in the right mind after seeing his mothers killer. Which wasn't all a lie. He had in fact seen her killer, many times actually. After many days of Zoro still insisting his father had killed his mother they told him to send Zoro to a mental home that would help. After hearing this Hizo had sent him right away, but sometime before that he had met the blond. Hizo pulled at his hair as the blonds dumb face flashed into his head.
He had always thought the reason Zoro was gay was because of his wife, she must have passed it down to him. She also liked men so it made sense. When Zoro had told them he was gay she had accepted him fully only being a little sad at how troubled his life could be because of it. Hizo had stared at him with disgust. He hugged himself and weeped. He missed her terribly. She was always there smiling behind his eyelids. She haunted his dreams and every thought ended with her. A terrible scream tore itself from his throat turning his already dry throat raw. "Why did you love me even in death?" he yelled to the sky.
His body trembled, this happened often and would soon pass. He would cry for her, let it all out, and be fine till he exploded again into a crying mess. "Sir are you okay?" A soothing man's voice brought his attention back to reality. He looked towards the man with disgust. The stranger stared at him with concern taking his hand and running it through his dirty blond hair awkwardly. Hizo's mouth fell open, this man had the same golden eyes as her. Golden eyes are rare too but here he was.
The man had a light gray scarf wrapped around his neck that covered the lower part of his chin and if he slouched probably his mouth too. He wore tight skinny jeans, and a black v neck shirt under his open red jacket. Two small pins held up his bangs on the left side of his face but some of the hairs had struggled and now hung loosely against his face. Hizo coughed again rising to his feet way too fast. His stomach lurched so he ran away from the man further into the alley and threw up the rest of his stomach. He hugged his shaking body forcing tears away from his eyes. There was no way he would throw up again his stomach had nothing left to offer. A warm hand rubbed his back soothingly and he stiffened.
"There there it's okay" his ex-wife guy version said. Hizo turned around shoving the man, "I am not a child" the bond stepped back raising his hands defensively. Hizo's temper exploded and he raised his hand ready to knock this piece of shit out. The man stepped back with fear in his eyes that quickly turned to determination and Hizo couldn't punch him. Not the man that looked too much like her. Instead he took his anger out on the concrete wall again. The pain from it cutting into his knuckles helped clear his mind and he revelled in it. He might have laughed, but wasn't sure. Hizo took a step in his excitement tripped on a can. He hit the ground hard blackness flooding his senses. This is all Zoro's fault.
His dreams weren't pleasant they never were not since her death. If it wasn't her standing there loving oozing out of every pore at him it was Zoro, his only son, staring at him with terror and disgust. Even he couldn't lie to himself, he really did love Zoro and had to deal with hurting him all the time. He screamed out in his sleep flailing his arms attacking anything and everything. Finally he jerked awake breathing heavily eyes wide with fear. A steady hand pet his bangs back from his eyes. The feeling was an old but forgotten sense of security that had faded over time. He stared up at the man confused.
"When you passed out I carried you to my house," the blond confessed looking embarrassed. A slight blush tinted his face, and he looked away when he told him about how he had dropped him on the stairs. The man was very tiny so it made perfect sense that he wouldn't be able to carry Hizo. The blond babbled on about his adventure, but noticed Hizo wasn't listening and grew quiet. An awkward silence fell on the room. Hizo looked around observing his surroundings. First he noticed he was in a decent sized bedroom with walls that were light brown. On the walls sat many pictures of dragons ancient, cartoon, and delicately drawn.
Hizo lifted his brows curiously, this man obviously had a thing for dragons. A light blue blanket was draped over his body, and oddly enough went well with the color of the room. A dark chocolate brown dresser went along the length of the wall to his right. A black dragon was elegantly engraved into the wood on the front. The dragon stared at him with ruby eyes as it seemed to turn to circle around itself. He looked back at the man," Why did you bring me here and not to the police?" he asked sounding harsher than intended.
His own voice hurt his head and he winced. The man got up from sitting on the end of the bed, causing it to shake lightly from losing its weight, and walked over to the dragon dresser. There he pet it like it was some kind of live animal with a concentrated look on his face. He opened it slowly trying to make less noise as possible and pulled out a bottle of pills, "Well, I wouldn't want to go to the hospital passed out drunk like you were" he said. Hizo's face heated up.I did not pass out drunk... I fell. Hizo gratefully took the painkillers from the stranger swallowing them skillfully without water. He had done it many times before. The blond observed him quietly. It kinda freaked Hizo out actually. Hizo then slid his legs over the side of the bed holding his head as still as possible.
"Thank you for your kindness but it is time I leave" Hizo said having enough of this mans eyes. Then it dawned on him like a slap to the face. This man had helped him and yet he did not even know his name. "May I ask your name?" he asked. The man's face lit up from the question, "Hiro Takehiro" he said a smile littering his face. Hiro... Well it certainly suits the man. "Some people call me dragon" he stated looking at his pictures. "My name is Hizo and I think Hiro suits you just fine" Hizo stated. Hiro's smile beamed at him and he suddenly became sad knowing he would probably never see this guy again. Reluctantly he went to the bedroom door and hesitated when he touched the handle,"Hiro can you show me to your front door? I don't wish to intrude any longer" Hizo asked. Hiro frowned, "You haven't intruded I'm usually all alone here"
He looked at Hiro feeling a little sad for the lonely man realizing he understood what it was like to be alone. With a sigh he followed Hiro to the front door. He was then offered a ride that he politely refused. Though he didn't have the slightest idea where he was. With a muffled goodbye Hizo turned from Hiro and walked out into the cold night. Only the wind heard his last word. Goodnight Hiro.
Zoro
Zoro had just gotten out of the hospital a few days ago and today was his first day of physical therapy. His first few days had been troublesome his eye always a throbbing pain. Then there was just the thought of a prosthetic eye. He wished they would have just sewn his eye shut. He sighed only thanking the gods for letting him stay by the cook. After he was released from the hospital Sanji had insisted he come stay with him. They had officially started dating so Zoro saw no problem.
He constantly found himself walking into doors, door frames, Sanji, the edge of the couch and really anything that could possibly trip him. Sanji would always laugh and it annoyed Zoro to no end. Finally he decided today, after tripping over the couch and landing on the floor, he would go outside on the porch and cool off. (other words pout). Well it was suppose to be the porch, but somehow he ended up in the bathroom. He scratched the taped part of his eye patch it always itched. Sanji then decided it was the best time to appear looking apologetic. Zoro smirked this could go well.
The blond looked down fidgeting,"I'm sorry. I know this is hard for you" he said not meeting Zoro's eyes. That was true it hurt Zoro's pride to have to rely on so many people. He ruffled the blonds hair because he knew he hated it," It's fine cook" he smirked. Relief was written all over the blond's face he couldn't help but tease him. Zoro tugged Sanji's face up to look at him and gave him a teasing peck on the cheek. Sanji blushed, but pouted soon after clearly wanting more. Zoro chuckled trotting out of the bathroom satisfied. The day had just gotten significantly better.
An hour passed of the porch search party that he never found, but now he sat in Sanji's car with a deep scowl. "Oh come on Zoro the physical therapy won't be that bad" Sanji said rolling his eyes. He ignored the comment finding the road outside so much more interesting. With a sigh Sanji pulled out of the driveway and headed to the physical rehab. Zoro grumbled to himself glaring at people that just happen to be in his line of sight. "Can we get ice cream later?" he huffed blushing at his childishness. Sanji chuckled, "Whatever you want Marimo"
Soon Moria's physical rehab came into view and Zoro huffed. Sanji gave him a be nice glare that he acted like he never saw. The waiting room was like every other waiting room cold, boring, a waste of time, but mostly alot of waiting. Zoro signed in giving the person at the desk his best don't worry I won't hurt you smile. She still looked scared though. With another sigh he plopped down next to Sanji who decided to spend his time reading a cook book. His face was twisted in concentration. Zoro watched him with interest. When food was involved Sanji always seemed to shine.
A big smile was place on Zoro's face before some walked into the room, "Mr. Roronoa" they said with a bored expression. Zoro swallowed his throat suddenly going dry. Sanji smiled at him reassuringly. Then he followed the bored person that seemed to like popping bubble gum to his therapist. His eyes wondered over some of the doors till they stopped in front of a pink one. He stared at it with disgust. "Dr. Perona" the door tag said. With a sigh he slowly walked in.
An hour later Zoro came running out of the room into the waiting room. His face was pale and sweat littered his forehead. He jerked Sanji up from his seat roughly surprising the cook and kissed him firmly. "Next time you are coming with me" he commanded. Before Sanji could reply he strolled out of the place and ran to Sanji's car. Never in his life had he wanted ice cream more.
