High Five paced back and forth- well what was pacing for him- in front of Lacy's door. Inside he could hear faint music and her moving around. He couldn't believe that he was actually listening to Rigby on this; but maybe he was right, it was time High Five took a stand and ask Lacy out. Or something like that...He didn't have to make it that outward, just ask her to a go to a movie with him. Muscle Man even said they could go with him and Starla as a double date. It was just a simple question, he could do it. And he had the support of his friends, he just needed to be confident. It was Lacy, she's nice, even if she did reject him she do it in the best way possible. He inhaled a deep breath, then mustering up all his courage knocked on the door. He heard the music quickly pause and after a quick moment the door open; all courage High Five built up had evaporated as he stared into the big icy blue eyes.
The girl standing in front looked very different than what he was use to seeing, but in a good way. Her seemed shinier than usual, and had slightly more wavy, her lips were painted a soft shade of peach that complemented with her ivory skin and her eyelashes were curled beautifully. She adorned a light grey jumper dress over a black long sleeved shirt and black leggings with grey buckled angle boots. But the most beautiful thing he saw was her smile that appeared on her face when she saw him.
"Hey Fives, what's up?" She asked. Fives had no idea what to say, even though he was prepared literally a few seconds ago. He just had to let Rigby talk him into this, speaking of which he knew that he was down the hall and would flip out if Fives didn't go through with this. His delayed response caused Lacy to stare at him quizzically.
"Fives?" She asked again, this time it caused him to blurt out the question,
"Do you want to go to the movies on a double date with Muscle Man and his girlfriend?" All was silent as Lacy stared at him with wide eyes and HFG had to fight not to face palm. He sounded like an idiot, there was no way she would say yes now!
"Sure," He looked at her with surprise as she turned her head a small blush growing across her cheeks. She continued,
"I have to do something later but yeah...I would love too." Fives was so shocked- she was blushing!- that he almost forgot to answer.
"Awesome! It's at seven, so do you just want to meet there or-"
"I'll meet you there, ok?" She said smiling slightly, then said, "Um, I have to finish getting ready so.." He got the message,
"Yeah no problem! Later!" She shut the door quietly and Fives floated there for a moment. That really just happened. He asked out a girl and she said yes. He smiled, his normal, boring life was definitely changing.
Lacy stood with her back to the door, her entire face red. Oh god, what had she just signed herself up for? She groaned and slid down into a sitting position. It wasn't that she didn't like High Five, she really did, but now was not the time to start dating someone! Especially now that she was doing this cheating plan! She had no problem playing Chad and Jeremy, but she didn't want to do something like that to Fives!
She took in a breath, calming herself down slightly, it was one date. It's not like she agreed to be his girlfriend, in fact it might not even be a serious date. Just two friends going to the movies together, kinda like how some friends go to prom together, she didn't need to overthink it. Truth be told, she was extremely shocked he had even asked her to go with him, did this mean that he also felt...No Lacy do not think like that! It cannot be like that right now, maybe in the future but not right now.
She stood up and brushed herself off, right now she had to meet Chad and put her plan into action. She looked in the replacement mirror she had bought, it wasn't as big as the old one, but it was better than nothing. All day after she finished her work she watched hair and make up tutorials on YouTube, as well as listened to the right kind of music to get her into character. Thank you Marina and the Diamonds. Her make up looked good, nothing heavy, just how she liked it. Her hair had been styled to be wavy and it looked pretty good. Perfect. Now to meet this creepy weirdo and get it over with.
XxX
Lacy popped her gum as she arrived at the meeting place, an art gallery. Not that bad, in her opinion, at least she could relate to art. Upon getting closer she saw Chad standing there, eyes locked on the screen of what looked to be a very expensive phone. As she approached him he looked up, saw her and began to smile. It wasn't a friendly smile, it was a unsettling one, almost pretty arrogant. This would have thrown her off, but she was actually hoping that he would be like that, it worked out even better for her. Using her most charming voice she said,
"Hey Chad, I'm glad you agree to come here. I really wanted to meet you too." She flipped her hair over her shoulder, smiling slightly. She hoped that this wouldn't take to long, but at the same wanted to milk this out as long as possible to make this more effective. He put the phone back in his pocket,
"I am too, I almost thought you wouldn't want to meet me. I mean, I know your seeing Jeremy..." Lacy smirked and pretended to check her nails,
"I guess you could say that, but to be honest, I'd rather hang out with you. You seem so much cooler." Ugh she hated acting like this. She didn't understand how some girls could actually do this on a daily basis! Then again she determined a long time ago that those girls didn't have souls. Chad smiled that arrogant smile again,
"Oh really? Then maybe you should just ditch him then." Lacy heard the confidence drip from his words and she had to keep herself from laughing. The pair had began to walk up the stairs that lead into the art gallery, passing other random couples who were on real dates. It reminded Lacy that she actually had a date later and made her groan inwardly as she silently reminded herself to worry about that later. She continued on,
"I'd feel so bad though! I've never been good at break ups..." She pouted. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Chad smirk,
"Well, I guess you wouldn't have to break up with him. In fact it would be pretty funny if you just kept on going. Play his feelings for awhile and then let the truth come out." Lacy could barely contain her mouth dropping open, this guy was horrible! Even though she had the same idea she was doing it for a life or death reason! This guy is just a jerk! This was his friend they were talking about! Even though she could feel her disgust rising up she held it back and smiled at Chad,
"What a wonderful idea..."
A/N: So after this the next chapter might not be up until after Christmas, this was hard enough to type because I have a very hyper active Japanese guy looking over my shoulder going 'whatcha doing?!' What do you think Mikado? Yes I'm talking to you, or typing. Yes. No. I doubt they will care about you. Fine
Mikado: HI!
omg...
