(A/N: This is the same day as 5-7)

Rainbow's PoV

Me and Link were just falling asleep when there was a flash of light, signaling that, either The Princess teleported here, Twilight used her spell to walk on clouds, or, the Goddesses that visited us earlier had teleported here. When me and Link looked up to see what happened, there stood the Goddesses, so me and Link jumped away from each other with blush all over our faces. So Link cleared his throat and asked "Um, what are you guys doing here?" a smile danced on the goddesses lips "Are we, interrupting something?" "No, we were just going to sleep." Link answered them. "Well, we are here to tell you that from your actions earlier today, we were going to give you a gift, so here is your pick, a control of time, shifting, or a warping between worlds." Said The Unicorn one "Explain please?" asked Link "Well," Said the Earth Pony "The Time ability will let you see in the future, past, and present. And you will also have the ability to travel through time." "Awesome." He said while nodding, "Continue please," "Shifting is where you can turn into anything you have seen, and you can turn body specific parts, into any form in between your current form, and your destined form. And warping explains itself."

Link nodded "Well… I guess I chose the shifting one." Said Link "Good pick of the lot." Said the Pegasus one. Then their eyes glowed and Link's eyes rolled into his head as he suddenly lost consciousness. I rushed to his side, and as I was about to wake him up, they said "Don't bother, if you wake him, he will just be in pain. He lost his consciousness because of the rush of pain and power, when he wakes up, he will say they name of an animal or beast of some sort, and this will be his sacred animal, Link Mine is a wolf, my older sisters' is a Boar, and my younger sisters' is a hawk. So let him rest." But I had a question for them, "Excuse me, but you said 'sacred animal' as if he were a god or something." They paused at my question and looked at each other "If, we tell you something, you must promise not to tell him, or anyone else." And I nodded at them, "This is the first of his many trials to become a god, and he hasn't been told, so you mustn't tell him." They said, and I swallowed hard and nodded.

~~The Next Day~~

Link's PoV

I awoke on the floor with a headache and felt groggy, but for some reason I had the urge to say dragon, but I have no idea why so I gave in and whispered "Dragon" and my eyes closed and all sorts of dragons showed up describing the Dragons names and abilities. It also told me there weaknesses. And some of them were interesting, like this Volgia, it's weakness is a thing called a Goron Hammer.

I looked around the house after that wore off, and after not finding Rainbow dash, I left to the library to see if Twilight knew where Rainbow was at. So when I arrived I saw with a pleasant surprise when I saw Rainbow reading. The title was

Daring Do and the lost city.

"What's this?" I asked her and she respond by wising around the room while yelling "It's only one of the books about the best pony ever!" Then she speed to me and tackled me and said, "It's the latest in the series, the next one comes out in six months! I'm so excited!"

I pushed her off me and rolled over and got up on my hooves. "Well, good for you, but at the moment, I don't really care because I haven't read it. I also don't read it's type of book." "Oh?" She asked. To which I nodded. "And what type of book do you read?" I thought over it and said "Well, I like history and mythology. Such as this book." As I pulled out the book about the sky' race, or the oocca. "This seems boring," Said Rainbow "Well in what I did for nearly a year and a half, you tend to like things like this." "So your adventures brought you to like these dusty old books?" I nodded. "Well," She started "Why don't you give it a try." I rolled my eyes but nodded, "Well, I will read this, if you learn to use a sword." Rainbow and Twilight looked at me shocked. "But… Swords aren't a traditional weapon used by ponies, in fact Ponies don't even really use swords, there only for ceremonies, the guards at canterlot only use spears!" and to Rainbows' reply I said "Well, this will male teaching you interesting, Because I assume they won't have any wooden swords at the shops then?" I asked. They both shook their heads as in 'no'.

"Well, then I guess for now, you are off the hook on sword fighting," I said. And I swore I saw a look of relief flash on her face for a split second. But the next I saw nothing, so I guess I must of imagined it, "Well, pass me the first book I guess." I said with a sigh.

~~Several Hours Later~~

As I finished the first book in the Daring Do series, I found it very much like a real adventure somepony had, had and had been writing along, or after their journey. So with that, I started to suspect that either, the author was really good at writing, or theses were real adventures.

Before I could say my thoughts Rainbow exclaimed "Look at the Time!" "What about it?" I asked. "There's a parade today." Said Rainbow, "Well, let's go, I can't believe I almost forgot."

~~Five Minutes Later~~

As the parade started, a golden apple zoomed by and was being followed by three fillies. "Applejack, quick you gotta-" started the yellow Filly with big orange and yellow eyes, but was interrupted by the noise and Applejack asking "What?" the filly started again and said "Quick, you gotta help us!" But Applejack couldn't hear her and asked "What?" even more confused this time. This time there was no noise as the little filly yelled "WE BOOBY TRAPED IT!" everypony looked at her and her friends oddly then the orange Pegasus said "Babs! Bully! Pay back! No time to explain!" and then ran off. I looked over at rainbow and bobbed my head up and she took the hint and flew into the air, me close behind. We watched as the fillies cased after the apple, and then joined Pinkie Pie in her carriage to try and catch up and try to talk to the driver, but then the driver knocked them off the road. But then it looked like shortly afterwards the pony lost control. But she was soon pushed out by the fillies as they took the dive into the lake, me and Rainbow came in for a landing. As the others rushed up to check on them, Applejack yelled down to them "Are y'all okay?" "Yeah," said the white unicorn. As Applejack jumped down, the orange Pegasus said "No sweat." as the little yellow earth pony cleared mud out of her ear. Then the tan earth filly said, "After I've been so mean to you, you saved me." And the yellow filly said about that, as she and the other fillies followed Applejack to Sweet Apple Acres.

"Whelp, that was an interesting parade."
