"How did you do that?" Ty asked, awe filling his voice as well as his eyes.

"I-I don't know." Kendall said shyly and blushed a bit. "I just did." He said and let his hand hover around the small bubble of water he had floating between the palm of his hands. The young prince eyed it and tilted his head to the right. "I do wonder..." He mumbled.

He hummed a little and sat down with his legs crossed. James watched him with a soft smile on his lips, handling the ship up on the rudder deck. During the past few days the blond had embraced his godly nature and dared to try out what he could do. So far he had entertained the crew with all kinds of light shows and creating small shapes out of water. James was glad the prince wasn't scared at least. He handled it fairly well considering the circumstances.

Kendall whispered small words to the bubble and it sparkled and shifted into a greenish color before a small image showed up inside of it. Showing a man in a blue robe lying on a bed, looking pale and sick.

The prince's eyes widened and he flinched away from the water, making it fall to the floor and splash all over his legs and clothes. Ty laughed and teased him for getting wet but the prince was nowhere near amused. He curled up a bit and stared at the small puddles of water on the deck before shooting up on his feet and running up the stairs to the rudder deck.

"Turn the ship around." He said and James arched an eyebrow. "I said turn it around!" Kendall yelled and frowned.

"Now, now." James said. "What's wrong, your majesty?" he asked softly and Kendall looked more and more distressed by the second. He gave a small whine and shook his head.

"M-My father..." He said. "My father is dying. I-I have to go back and see him... m-maybe I could help him?" he suggested. "I-I saw him. He is very sick."

James furrowed his eyebrows and worriedly eyed his lover. "Did you see it?" He asked and Kendall nodded and ran over to the railing and waved his right hand and held up the left and a bubble of water ascended from the sea and came soaring up to his palm. He showed James and the brunet glanced between the prince and the vision he was shown.

He wondered why the prince was still worried about his father. How Kendall could still feel anything that resembled love towards a man that had lied to him his entire life and kept him captive since birth. Kendall shook his head and looked up at James. "Please." He begged. "I need to see him."

"It'll be dangerous." James sighed.

"Please." Kendall pleaded.

James gave a sigh and glanced at his crew that were all waiting for him to make a decision. "Fine." James said. "Ye hear that? We're heading back to the Blue Kingdom! You all know what to do." He said and Kendall gave a sigh of relief.

"Thank you." He said, dismissing his vision and the water and leaned his forehead against James' arm. "Thank you, James. Thank you."

"H-H-Heading back?" Logan squeaked and looked worried. "Why would we do that?" he stuttered and frowned. Kendall turned to him and shook his head.

"My father is dying. I have to see him." He said.

Logan furrowed his eyebrows. "After..." He mumbled and hesitated a bit. "After a lifetime of all that?" he asked. "You're still going back?" He asked. "You said you'd never go back."

"My father was not dying when I said that." Kendall hissed. "And he is my father. I love him, with all my heart. Even though he maybe have been lying to me he was doing it to protect me. I am sure that he loves me still." He sighed and gulped. "Why else does he have the look of a man who has been heartbroken?"

The former servant decided not to argue and bowed his head. "If you say so, my prince." He said. "I will accompany you if needed." He said. Kendall eyed him once before nodding and then turning back to the brunet behind him and giving him a weak smile.

James took the blond's hand in his and brought it to his lips and kissed it. "I am with you, my love. Nothing will keep me away from you." He murmured and the young prince smiled shyly and blushed, cheeks tinting in a rosy pink color. "Your face reminds me of a rose bush I once saw in the far north..." James said. "You are like the north." He said and stroked his hand over the prince's cheek. "You're like an ornament sculpted by mother nature. Hair like gold, skin like silk and lips pink as rosebuds."

"O-Oh, hush." Kendall said and blushed even more. "You are spoiling me with your praises." He said shyly and smiled at the floor. "You have a mouth on you, captain. You are a pirate with the mind and mouth of a poet."

"Who says I have always been a pirate?" James asked and Kendall smiled again and followed the brunet up to the rudder deck.

Logan couldn't help but let his eyes follow the pair. They were so loving towards each other. Logan had a hard time believing it since he was so split between the image of James ordering to burn the royal library and kidnapping the prince and the James who would look at the blond with such awe and love and treat him like he was a fragile flower that would whiter away unless you cared for it.

In a way Logan was curious and a bit envious of what the prince and the pirate captain seemed to share but he'd scold himself and think that after what he had done he wasn't even worthy to think that thought. He was and would always be a nobody.

"What are you thinking of?" Carlos asked, snapping the former servant out of his thoughts. "You alright?"

"I'm fine." Logan said, sharply and silently. He ducked his head and quickly turned away. "I'm not going to bother you anymore."

"Hey, wait." Carlos said and reached out and grabbed a hold of the raven haired boy's wrist when he attempted to scurry away. "You're not bothering me." He said. "Quite the opposite. I very much enjoy talking to you, Logan. You have an interesting point of view."

Logan gulped a bit and nodded. "I suppose." He said and glanced over to the rudder deck where Kendall and James sat and talked, seemingly about something serious since the blond looked so tense and the brunet looked so attentive. "I was just wondering what it felt like..." He sighed.

"What?" Carlos couldn't help but ask.

"Having someone who cares." Logan said and turned to look at Carlos. His eyes were serious and sad and Carlos felt back for the poor boy. "Have you ever had someone that cares for you? About you?" Logan asked.

The latino smiled a bit and gave a breath. "My ma cared for me. Captain Diamond cares for me." he said but Logan shook his head.

"No, I mean... like that?" He asked and nodded up at the rudder deck where the prince was now enveloped in a loving embrace by the brunet captain. "Have you ever had someone like that?" He asked and sighed.

"I used to be sweet on a girl back in the south." Carlos said and smiled softly.

"Used to be?" Logan asked. Carlos looked up at him and suddenly looked serious.

"The plague took her."

"Oh." Logan said. "I'm sorry." He said and bowed his head.

Carlos regained his normal cheery self and gave a smile. "That's alright. That was years ago and I've gotten plenty of time to get closure." He explained and gave Logan's wrist a gentle squeeze. "There's other fish in the sea." He chuckled and Logan gave him a confused look.

The former servant furrowed his eyebrows a bit and shook his head. "I suppose." He mumbled and eyed the latino before turning away. "Say... if I may ask... how do you see me, Carlos?" he asked. "What am I in your eyes?"

"You're Logan." Carlos said. "You're no one but yourself in my eyes."

"And who is Logan?"

"Logan is the boy I can't seem to stop thinking about." Carlos said and Logan blushed and pulled his wrist away with a pout on his face and then hurried away and out of sight. Carlos gave a sigh but didn't follow him. Logan was trying to find himself.

The blond frowned seeing the fortress in the distance. It was night and the moon was the only light they had. Captain Diamond had forbidden any lights, torches and lanterns so that they wouldn't be discovered. Kendall turned around and walked over to the brunet. "I will go but only one can come with me."

"I'll go with you." James said. "I don't trust you with anyone else."

Kendall gave a loving smile and nodded. "I do not trust myself with anyone else." He cooed and James swept down to place a quick kiss on his lips. The two made their way into one of the smaller boats and James rowed as close to shore as he could and then he and the prince took advantage of the prince's powers to cross the last few yards of water without the boat. Kendall held James' hand tightly in his as they snuck around the fortress to the back. "We can enter through the dungeon. There is a latch for disposal under it." He explained and James nodded wordlessly and followed closely.

They both managed to get in undetected. The fortress was very empty and silent. There wasn't any guards posted in the usual places and Kendall had spotted a group of them in the great hall, sitting by the large round table and speaking with low voices. He worried, not only about his father but about the entire kingdom. Was it really falling apart without him?

Kendall hesitated outside of his father's bedroom. James nudged him and the blond looked up. "Are you alright, love?" James asked softly.

"I'm... fine." Kendall said. "Would you wait here for a while?" he asked. "I wouldn't want to frighten my father by bringing a pirate into his room." He said and tried to smile. "I will call for you the moment I need you." James reluctantly agreed and gave the blond a gentle nudge before he allowed him to enter the room.

The king's bedroom was dimly lit and Kendall frowned seeing his dad on the bed. He was pale and looked so much smaller than the last time Kendall had seen him. The young prince warily approached the bed and knelt beside it, looking down at his father and gulping.

He brought a gentle hand to grasp the king's and gulped again. "F-Father?" He said softly. "Father? It's me..." He whispered. "Please... please, wake up." He begged.

The kings eyes fluttered open and Kendall gave a small gasp and brought the king's hand up to his cheek. "Son?" The king asked weakly. "Is that you?"

"It's me, father." Kendall said. "I-... Oh, father... what happened to you?"

"Heart blight, son." The king said and sighed. "Look at you..." He continued and gently let his fingers stroke over his son's cheek, tracing his green marks. "So you sealed it in, did you?" He asked. Kendall nodded, eyes getting teary and chest hurting from fighting tears and feelings. "You are a clever boy, Kendall..."

"This is all my fault." Kendall whined and frowned, shooting down to hug his father. "I'm sorry, father. I never meant for this to happen." he said and sniffled. "I cannot stay here for I am unhappy but I do not want you nor the kingdom to whiter."

The king nodded tiredly. "I... understand." He said lowly. "You are your mother's son."

Kendall blinked some tears away and sniffled. "M-My mother?"

"Your mother." The king said. "You look like her... you have her eyes..." he said softly and smiled a bit. "There's so much out there for you, son... things you have not yet discovered, people you've never met. I wish I had time to tell you about it all."

"Please, father. I-I could heal you." The prince offered. "Let me try and we will get through this." The king gave a throaty couch and the prince could only gave a horrified stare. "F-Father..."

"It's far too late for me, son. Your sister is already getting ready for her coronation." He explained and Kendall nodded. "Since you are gone, she will be the one taking over this kingdom."

Kendall frowned. "She is so young." He mumbled and the king only nodded. "I will fix this, father." He promised. "I am not going to let the kingdom fall nor am I going to let my sister... go through it alone."

"Are you going to stay?"

"No." Kendall said. "Father, my powers... they're evolving within me. I can feel it." He said and placed his father's hand over his heart. The king shook his head and Kendall frowned.

"You are not meant for such things, son." The king said. "You should save yourself for someone else."

"Father, I can do it!" Kendall argued, voice hoarse and eyes flooding with sparkling tears. The king looked worried and weakly shook his head.

"Don't take that chance. Not for me, Kendall..." But the young prince had already decided that he was going to follow through. "Kendall." The king sighed.

"I can do it, father." Kendall said. "Please, let me. Don't leave me..." He begged. "I can do it." When the king shook his head Kendall let go of his hand and gave him a venomous look. "Just you watch..." Kendall said and got up on his feet and walked into the middle of the room. "Just you watch, father." He said and closer his eyes and started chanting words and spells.
