So.. long time no see. The explanation for why this took forever to upload will be at the end other chapter along with a few other things. This part is only here to say that I don't own Hetalia or Hetaoni and probably never will. Also quick heads up this chapter was mostly written over year ago, was written on an iphone and has no beta to read it over. You have been warned.

Chapter 3

Okay, let's get a few things straight. You know, just in case you ever find yourself in my position, you do the smart thing. When alone in a mysterious building after just being confronted by a strange monster, you hear a weird sound. What do you do?

If you answered with any other response then, "Get the fuck out of that room, avoid that weird sound, and try to escape as soon as fucking possible," you and I have something in common. We are complete dumb asses./div

"After hearing the noise I turn my head to look at the doorway. What the hell was that noise? Could it be? I felt myself grin a little. "Or maybe the correct question is who made that noise?" I said aloud walking to the door.

Before reaching out for the door knob I pause, suddenly hesitant to grab it. I quickly glance to the sword in my grasp. "Just in case this noise isn't the others we're looking for you'll protect me, right Fubuki?" I said to the sword in my grasp.

Thankfully the weapon didn't respond. Otherwise I probably wouldn't of realized how crazy I was acting, talking and even naming to a sword. "When one starts talking to a sword that's always a good sign to leave," chuckling nervously I opened the door walking into an open hallway.

As I looked down each side of the hallway, I didn't even notice the door to the previous room closing behind me until I heard the unsettling click of a door being shut. "... Please don't be what I think that was." Turning back around to face the door I tried to reopen it only to find it wouldn't budge.

"Oh come on! It's locked?! For Peat's sake I was just in there!" Turning away from the door my shoulders slumped and my head slightly drooped in style "Great. Just great. I guess there's going back now." Suppressing a rather childish pout I clenched my grip on the sword and began to weigh my next possible actions. Left or right.

"Deciding to lead with my best foot forward I chose the right. A few feet later I rounded a corner and found another door along with a flight of stairs leading up.

Seeing as the door seemed to be locked I assessed the stairs with a frown. "We'll now I know this place has different levels... I kinda already guessed that since so far this place wasn't built like a first floor would be... Though I also thought that when I did find stairs they would be going down... I wonder how many levels there are?"

"I took a few steps up the stairs before stopping mid step. "I could of swore though that I heard the crash come from below though... Maybe I should go back to the left side." Turning and walking down the stairs I had failed to notice the red eyed watching me from atop the stairs.

"As I walked down the hallway once more, my attention was now drawn to the bare walls. Frowning my steps slowed to a halt as I took in the sight. "Why is everything so plain? It's so lifeless, bleak... kinda sad really..." The silence that followed left an almost awkward feeling In the heir. Shrugging I decided I'd given the topic enough thought.

"I guess it just makes this place feel lonely," I spoke my gaze lingering on the wall as I continued on down the hall.

Finally reaching the end the hallway I shook my head. "Man, I just put way to much thought into some weird dream walls."

To my greatest satisfaction the stairs at this end of the hall seemed to be going downward. Mentally unable to suppress a happy dance I started my way down the stairs with a skip in my step.

I'm left with the choice of left and right again. I walk a few steps to the right before I sit down. "Damn why is this place so big? Where am I anyway?" leaning back against the wall behind me I close my eyes and let out a long sigh. "Why do I feel so tired? I've never felt so exhausted in a dream before... Which brings up the question.. What if this isn't a dream? What if Amber's note was right?"

She's wrong. This is clearly a dream.

" Blotting up I suddenly felt unnervingly aware that I was being watched. Looking around my surroundings i could feel my paranoia rising. Against my better judgement I found myself calling out into the hallway. "who's there?!"

No ones here. Unless you want there to be. This is a dream after all.

Okaaaay. That is totally not creepy and I definitely just heard that. Yup, nothing creepy about that at all. Pulling my sword closer I mentally prepared myself to respond to the voice. "Oh really? Says who?"

Says you. This is your dream. I am but a simple part of your subconscious telling you that you are very tired. So sleep.

At the words my eyes narrowed. That last part had sounded more like a command then a suggestion. "If this is a dream then why must I sleep?

Because you are tired. You are tired aren't you?

My bitter response is surprisingly cut off by a yawn. Was I really that tired? Was this voice right? I mean I had been believing this whole situation was a dream before, why stop now? Maybe a quick nap wouldn't hurt. As if sensing my growing acceptance the voice quickly spoke again

See? Even you know not to argue with yourself. Just relax. Close your eyes. Feel them getting heavier. Relax your muscles. Give in to exhaustion. Sleep.

Strangely with each suggestion I did feel more tired. Giving in I leaned back against the wall and closed my eyes.

That's it. Close your eyes and block out all noise. Fall asleep.

I could here the voice chuckle

After all what's the worst that could happen? This is just a dream.

Taking deep breaths I could feel myself slowly drifting asleep. the voice was right after all. What could possibly go wrong in a dream?

That's right my sweet.. sweet child. Sleep. Your dreams are oh so tired...

My mind was on the edge of gentle oblivion when I felt it. Humid air brushing against my face. At first I shifted a bit uncomfortably. What was that smell? It's kinda a funny smell... Metallic.. Like iron... Like blood.

"Wait. How-?! A single thought then rushed through my mind and made my whole body stiffen and jolt awake. Eyes flying open I was met with a twisted and malformed facial structure. Loose aged skin clung to a skeleton figure, tainted with a sickly purple.. The creatures mouth was a twisted, sickening, blood dripping smile as it hovered only inches away from my face. Despite the obvious fear rushing through my veins sudden recognition hit me like a home run. It's eyes. The creatures eyes. They were.. the same. The same exact ones I had seen in the room. Except now they seemed.. Ecstatic.

Are you sleeping?

I was stuck. Frozen in place by the mere whisper. Every nerve in my body was telling me to run for my life but at the same time my body refused to move paralyzed for the current horror only inches away. The comparison to a deer in the headlights of a fast moving vehicle felt unnerving.

"A whimper of fear caught in my throat as the creature raised a single bulbous yet bony hand and slowly place it on my head. My whole body was reduced to a shaking mess as I felt the creature move it's hand back brushing my hood off in the process.

What could of been mere seconds past like hours. Slowly.. And deviously the creatures blood stained grin began to grow. Never breaking eye contact I could only watch as the creature drew back it's head as if getting ready to strike when-

"V'AT THE HELL?!"

The monster snapped it's head toward the sound of the voice. Suddenly I felt as if the trance had been broken. Grabbing my sword I suddenly sat up and ran.

I didn't have to look behind me to know that the monster was chasing after me. I heard a inhuman screech and the thudding of foot steps behind me. I seemed to be faster then the monster but looking ahead I saw that I was running into a dead end. As if on instinct I turned around and raised my sword. I was still trembling as the monster got closer. Fubuki suddenly let out a flash of light and returned into it's baseball bat form. I was so screwed.

I felt myself back up sideways until I bumped into a door. I let out a sigh of relief as Flung open the door and ran in. When I entered the room I quickly shut the door and locked it behind me just in time. I stood absolutely still facing the door as I heard the monster try to rip it open repeatedly. After what seemed like hours the monster gave one finale shriek and left.

A shaky breath left me as I leaned my head on the door exhaustively.

"What the heck was that?!"

Eyes widening I inhaled sharply as I noticed I wasn't alone. How the hell did I not notice another presence in the room?! Turning slowly around I was once again met with scarlet red eyes.

Okay, explanation time on where the hell I've been. High school... Yeah that's all I got. Honestly I lost over half of this chapter when transferring my notes from an old phone to my new one. Me being to lazy to want to rewrite most of it again took my sweet ass time working on it, then kinda forgot about it entirely when school came around. So yeah, I've had this chapter for a while now, completed but not up to par with its original "glory" and thought "Hey, let's do the fanfiction thing!"

I think I've explained what exactly I'm going to do with updating and posting further in my bio so feel free to look in there. Thanks for reading this and feel free to review.
