Chapter Seven: Slaves
Thanks to everyone who is reviewing these and telling me how I can improve! It means a lot!
Vuldnam was alone. He was sure of it. His ability to hear incredibly well was better than almost any other vampire. It was a gift that he was happy to have. In the darkness of the sewers Vulgnam closed his eyes. He could feel his control over his new slaves. The men and women who would join him and Chris in the fight against the vampire ruler known as Drastan Kinfer.
Drastan was one of the oldest vampires around. Blessed with great talent in combat and a brain that even Einstein would have been jealous of, Drastan was picked as the vampire king shortly after the previous ruler, Grigori Rasputin, was killed. Drastan was the one who first incorporated the No Eating Humans law and it stuck but there were some vampires like Chris and Vulgnam who did not like it at all.
Thinking about Drastan now made Vulgnam want to throw up. He hated Drastan passionately and not just because of the laws he passed. Vulgnam shook his head and cleared his mind, thinking only about commanding his new servants. He concentrated and spoke,
"Come to your new master."
Vulgnam sat down in the sewer and waited. It took nearly ten minutes but, eventually, a man hole opened up and the ten people who were asleep in the music shop started climbing down the ladder and into the dark depths of the sewer. Vulgnam smiled at his servants and then walked over to the first man on his left. Sinking his teeth into the man's neck, Vulgnam felt their warm human blood touch his lips. Blood which he had not tasted in a very long time.
It took him a while, but eventually, Vulgnam had ten people who were soon to be vampires lying on the ground in front of him. Vulgnam couldn't remember the last time he felt this good. The human blood had energized him to the point where he felt like he could lift 50 tons. Then, one of the people started writing in pain. Vulgnam watched as their teeth in their mouth began to grow and sharpen. Then, his fun was interrupted by the man hole being opened again. From the above streets, Sally Jackson stepped down the ladder and walked toward Vulgnam.
Vulgnam paused. He didn't know what to do. He had forgotten that he now had control over Percy Jackson's mother. If he turned her into a vampire, Percy would be devastated but Vulgnam knew too well that the plan could backfire and Percy could end up getting angry and attacking. If he kept Sally the way she was however, Percy wouldn't give up and he would try to save her. They could use that as the opportunity to strike and kill the boy. It would also provide Vulgnam and Chris with some leverage in the future.
Vulgnam reached out and patted Sally Jackson on the shoulder. He smiled and said, "Sally. I would like you to help me deliver a message to Camp No Blood…"
