ConstructCritical: Welcome, ladies and gents, to the six month anniversary of CoS! Among other things! *blows a party horn*

DarkFoxKit: Okay, this may not have been released on the exact day, but at the time this is written, on November 1st, is ConstructCritical's birthday! Happy birthday!

ConstructCritical: Also, this is the half birthday of everyone's beloved author, DarkFoxKit! And it's also the day after Halloween so Happy Halloween everybody! I stashed tons of candy under my bed! Don't you go stealin' it!

DarkFoxKit: And… *rubs the bandage on her arm* For those of you who don't know much about cats, don't ever pet them on the stomach, I'm telling you this for your own good, okay?

ConstructCritical: Some of you may be wondering 'Hey! This isn't the third part of the court case! Where's Key2DestNE?! I wanted that AN and I wanted it now!' Well, for one, that's harsh, you've broken my tiny little heart, second that should be coming out… Wednesday? Or next week? Sometime in the future. We just thought it would be good to have a little celebration for all the happy things happy-ening today! *ahahahaaha*

DarkFoxKit: So yes, this is written as a celebration for Halloween, Crit's birthday and the six month anniversary of this story!

ConstructCritical: So yeah, we'll take a moment for everyone to shout 'Happy Birthday!' to me. *crickets chirp* Well not all at once now! You guys are too kind!

DarkFoxKit: Also, we still need some witnesses for the court AN anyway, we seem to only have one for Crit and none for me.

ConstructCritical: Well, to be fair, FantasySword's testimony was for both of us, but you can't have one for both. In real court, witnesses choose sides, so that's what we need here. So just as a heads up, that's what we need. You should probably go read the chapter now, but we'll be back at the bottom to say some other… stuff, I guess.

Chapter 10: Shadow Pokemon's HQ

Over the next few weeks, the two Pokemon of Evoshock were working hard to improve. They went out on missions daily, Meowth stayed behind in the HQ, not willing to go out and face Shadow Pokemon. The duo hadn't seen Mew or even heard from Mew since they got back to the HQ, and they weren't sure if something had happened to her, or maybe she was on some kind of stealth mission? No one could be certain except Mew herself.

While Team Evoshock were busy with their missions and improving themselves, Mew was flying around the sky, doing a mission of her own.

Mew was in a far off region, long forgotten by most Pokemon, and it was an ideal place for Mewtwo's base for the Shadow Pokemon.

Mew has been trying to find a way into the Shadow Pokemon HQ herself, hoping to find a way to get in close to Mewtwo and if it's possible to purify him… if it's not… she may have to try and destroy the clone once and for all. Mewtwo was by far the most intelligent of the Shadow Pokemon, and the most dangerous, he is their leader, their master, and she must find a way to avoid them all in order to get to him… somehow…

Not that she wanted to destroy her own brother. They had been extremely close before the little accident. She pushed the thoughts aside and tried to focus on her mission.

Even with Transform, she is unable to bypass that shadowy aura that Shadow Pokemon naturally produce from their body. She would have to copy a real Shadow Pokemon down to the T with that, even then it's risky…

There were plenty of Shadow Pokemon in the wild, but if she dared to copy one of them, there's a high chance she would become a Shadow Pokemon for real… and the world would not survive TWO legendary Shadow Pokemon, it can barely survive one.

When she thought about it further, where were the other Legendaries? In this type of crisis, she would imagine they would be out fighting the Shadow Pokemon. Maybe they were all tied up in other locations around the world? Come to think of it… she hadn't seen a trace of any of them since Mewtwo took over and corrupted the world… what could've happened to them?

Mew shook her head, she had no time to think about them right now, she was already close to the mountain… where the castle of Shadow Pokemon awaits. Mew wanted to try to find a way… to get inside. Find out the secrets and weaknesses of Shadow Pokemon, if she could do that, then and only then could they truly purify any Shadow Pokemon.

She circled the mountain, trying to find any crack large enough for her to fit into, and would ultimately lead inside their fortress. Mew turned herself invisible as she slowly floated closer, she had gotten close to the castle before, but a lot of Shadow Pokemon are still able to track her even if she is invisible. The pink legendary managed to get inside since a lot of Shadow Pokemon were out on the prowl since it's night.

She darted along some hallways. It was very dark, and she wouldn't have been able to see anything. Fortunately, being the ultimate creator of all Pokemon, she had a bit of night vision from her Dark-type descendants.

Mew came across a large open room. It seemed to be much more organized than she would have expected of Shadow Pokemon. Desks were lined up, papers in neat stacks. She wondered if Shadow Pokemon ever even came here. Still, there were papers sprawled across the floor. Random blueprints and files scattered into an incoherent mess.

Curious, the pink cat legendary picked up a few of the blueprints. "... These are…" she began to say to herself, but then the doors opened! She quickly rolled up the blueprints and decide to take it with her later, before she flew into the vents, barely avoiding the Shadow Pokemon coming in.

Because she's so small, Mew managed to easily squeeze through the vent. She was trying to find a way to get into the big throne room, that's where she can find her corrupted brother.

She half floated half crawled through the tiny vent. It was a somewhat tight squeeze, even for a small Pokemon like her. She couldn't help but hit the sides of the metal every now and then, sending out a vibrating bashing sound, making Mew stop, and nervously hope none of the Shadow Pokemon heard it; every single time it happened.

Eventually, she saw a room with chemicals everywhere. She's sure those chemicals is what produces more Shadow Pokemon, but she can't get out now and see it since there's a lot of Psychic type Shadow Pokemon there right now. She'll have to take a note later for it and kept going. Soon, she saw the huge room with fancy velvet.

"This has to be the Mewtwo's throne room." She whispered to herself. She slipped out of the vent and ducked behind a pillar. She peeked over and tried to see what was happening.

When Mew managed to squeeze in, she saw Mewtwo… and he was floating around and seem to be talking with someone, but she couldn't see who or what he's talking to. "And you're sure about this?"

"Oh yes, I am sure… the rumors are true."

"In that case… make sure it happens. I don't want my prize to get away."

"Yes, Master."

The figure started walking towards Mew's hiding place. She gasped and flew for the vent, narrowly missing the two Pokemons' gaze.

"And hurry, time is short after all!" Shadow Mewtwo snapped.

Mew was trying to see who the Pokemon the Shadow Mewtwo was talking to, but she still couldn't see it. Then she felt Mewtwo's power spiking up… he seems very angry about something.

"If you let that stupid Pikachu get away from the elites, I will have your head, Demetrius!" Mewtwo shouted at the retreating form of 'Demetrius'.

Are they talking about Crit? Mew thought to herself in worry.

"O-of course, Master, I promise to catch him and he WILL be on our side once it is complete." Demetrius said quickly.

Mew's eyes glared, she knew something wasn't right. Why are they so desperate of getting Crit? …. Did… did something happen to him?

Mew's gaze followed Demetrius as he made a dash for the door, apparently wanting to get out of Mewtwo's presence. After Demetrius had left, Mewtwo sat on his throne and closed his eyes. He seemed to be in deep concentration.

"I sense you, sister. You'll have to hide better than that if you wish to exclude yourself from the purification of this world." Mewtwo said; his eyes still closed.

Mew cringed and shortly debated with herself if she should flee or confront him… But… knowing her brother, she knew that he wouldn't let her go so easily now that he knows she's here. Deciding now was a good time to figure out why they wanted Crit so bad, she flew in front of him. The other Shadow Pokemon in the area hissed and were about to pounce her, but Mewtwo raised a hand, stopping them.

"... Well brother… it's been a long time… for about a year now since we last spoken to each other?" Mew hissed.

"Yes, I suppose it was. I don't suppose you've come to my domain for a nice visit? If only you had brought flowers. I am rather fond of flowers." Mewtwo replied, disinterestedly.

"You've got plenty of deadly flowers here, what with the Shadow Grass types you've got lying around." Mew hissed as she kept her eyes on him. "... So… what did you want with this Pikachu that you've been yelling at someone about?"

Mewtwo would have raised an eyebrow, if he would've had one. "Eavesdropping isn't kind, dear sister."

"Neither is chasing your sister for decades. Now tell me… it's not like you have anything to lose." Mew challenged the clone.

"Hm. Let's put it this way. If those two humans became Shadow Pokemon, they wouldn't be mindless drones." Mewtwo said cryptically.

"... You… you know that there are two humans in this world?" Mew's eyes widen. "But… how? There haven't been humans here in over a century!"

"Then please explain to me, sister, why you brought them here?" Mewtwo asked with a smirk.

"... How did you know I brought them here?" Mew demanded. "You weren't there when it happened!"

"Well I wouldn't want to give myself away, now would I? Once you opened up the temporal rift, I ordered the pursuers off. After deducing two humans had come through, I sealed the rift, as to eliminate any more threats from coming up. You don't think I would be foolish enough to let more of those filthy beasts into this realm, do you? I'm hurt, sister." Mewtwo said, the mocking tone clear in his voice.

"... So… you WERE there on the night I caused the rift. I guess I underestimated you, brother. So… you want to get your hands on the Pikachu only? Why not the Eevee too?" Mew asked him.

"I have my reasons. I can't give away all my secrets, now can I?" Mewtwo asked his sister with a sly smile.

"... Very well then. But I have one more question, brother… you had all this time to try and turn me into a Shadow Pokemon like you… so why haven't you?" Mew asked him.

Mewtwo smiled, his gaze falling upon Mew's soul. "Because the hunt makes life worth it. The screaming, the fear; nothing is more satisfying."

"... So… you're just going to chase me? You don't ever plan to turn me into a Shadow Pokemon as long as I don't get caught, is that it? … You really are insane." Mew hissed as she quickly teleported out of the building and began flying away as fast as she could since the barrier would only let her teleport so far.

Mew flew weakly towards the HQ, she was glad to see that Team Evoshock were already coming out to begin another mission… or perhaps they were going back to HQ after finishing it… either way, she had to warn them the danger they were in. The flight back was exhausting at this pace and she got attacked a few times by incoming Shadow Pokemon.

Kit noticed a shadow passing them and she looked up and gasped, "Crit! Isn't that Mew up there!?"

Crit glanced up. The sun was still high, so he shaded his eyes with his paw. He thought he could make out the familiar shape of the pink feline. "I-I think so. It's too bright to tell."

Kit frowned as she saw the pink figure wobbling in the air before it fell to the ground in front of them with a THUD. They could now see it was indeed Mew… and she looked exhausted and a bit hurt. Both of them rushed over to her, "M-Mew… what… what happened? What's wrong?"

Crit grabbed her paw and dragged her to the trees, hoping no one had seen the legendary yet. "Yeah, what happened to you?!"

"... Crit… listen to me…" Mew spoke up, panting. "You… you are… in danger…" she said before she passed out.

DarkFoxKit: Um… so uh… wow, we don't really have much else to say at this point. But you guys could all pray and hope for Crit that he gets the birthday present he wants the most! A 3DS!

ConstructCritical: *sigh* Yeah, I have been wanting one for about a year now. No luck so far, but… I'm hoping for some more luck today. Pokemon X… I MUST PLAY YOU! If I end up getting one, I'll be fine to give out my friend code whats-its if you PM me. But don't battle me or my shiny Minccino will make you sorry~...

DarkFoxKit: Heh… he really likes shiny Minccino. Anyways folks, we hope you enjoyed this chapter and our AN, I know it's not the court one, but we couldn't get our guest Key to get on so this was the next best thing.

ConstructCritical: Yeah, if you've ever tried working with Key, you'll know he's lazy, tired 24/7, is very commonly late to get on, or downright falls asleep when we're trying to write something!

DarkFoxKit: … I probably shouldn't let that go public…

ConstructCritical: Serves him right for that SoK AN… *grumbles*

DarkFoxKit: Okay, we're done here! Review, and try to be patient for the next part of the court case.
