Sorry for the wait! School and stuff, :P

WishOfTheFallingStars: I'm sorry, I bet they were wonderful people. And nice theory!

Raeda2001: Thanks! Very good theory!

WhenCowsFly: Thanks buddy! Also, good theory!

Gosh, I feel like I'm repeating myself. It's sooooo hard not to just tell yall what's gonna happen!

Anyways...

Here's the chapter!

Chapter 21: Goldenfur

It had been three sunrises.

Featherheart assumed that she was in a coma, unable to see or feel the world around her, trapped in her own mind.

"Is it permanent?" He had asked the medicine cat.

"I don't know." Was always the answer.

The golden tom looked at her sleeping body, tears welling in his blue eyes.

Her pelt had grown ragged with neglect. Her pads had become cracked. Her breath had become irregular. Her eyes never opened.

"I don't know."

The words rang through his mind, like a venom that seeped into his soul.

He pressed closer to her, nuzzling his head into her neck and breathing in her scent.

The scent that had grown sour with sleep.

They had done everything they could to keep her alive, chewing up fresh-kill into a pulp and paw feeding her, soaking up moss and dripping it into her mouth, cleaning away the snot and eye buildup. The whole clan was concerned, and Rosepaw had even been sent to the other clans to see if they knew anything.

She was yet to return.

Goldenfur lifted his head from her collar. He was met with the delapidated form of a cat he once knew, a cat called Greyleaf.

Now, she was like a zombie, not dead, but not living. She cried out in her slumber, swiped at hidden nothings, pumped her legs as if running from something horrible.

But what?

What terrors beheld her? What kept her locked within her mind, unable to return to him? What prevented her escape? What, what, what...

Goldenfur was tired of whats.

It was time for action.

The rustling of brambles alerted him to an intruder, and the leader's son whirled around to face whoever was coming in to force him out now. One thing was for sure...

He wasn't leaving this time.

Blackfur's dark form appeared before him, and the two toms snarled at each other.

"Get out," Blackfur hissed, his claws sliding out of his paws and digging into the earth.

"No," Goldenfur growled, lashing his tail. If Blackfur wanted a fight, he was going to get one!

The black tom yowled, and flung himself at his clanmate.

They became a whirl of claws and fur, viscously biting at each other. Goldenfur struggled to avoid hitting Greyleaf, and the battle grew even more complicated when her three kits arrived.

The five-moon-olds watched with wide, scared eyes as the two most prominent male figures in their lives slashed and clawed at one another mercilessly.

They shouldn't have to see this.

An overwheliming surge of protectiveness flooded Goldenfur, and he took hold of Blackfur's tail with his jaws, dragging the sable tom out of the nursery and into the light of the hollow.

Blackfur fought him every step of the way, but Goldenfur was able to yank him out of the dark den.

He let go of Blackfur's tail, and the tom swiftly pivoted and swiped at Goldenfur's face.

Searing pain ran through his head as claws met flesh, and the tabby tom was knocked back. He staggered to regain his footing as the malicious opponent lunged, grasping his neck with firm jaws.

Blood spurted from the new wound, dying Blackfur's muzzle crimson. This only encouraged the cat to dig deeper.

Goldenfur's life force drained into the sand, his strength faded, his sight glazed, and his heart slowed.

So this is how it ends, He thought, Destroyed by the very cat that wants to take what I love.

Greyleaf's smiling face flashed across his vision...

What I love...

The images of Goldenkit, Nightkit, and Sparrowkit danced across his eyelids...

What I love,

The happy times together in the sun appeared before his eyes...

What I love!

His family!

Not Blackfur's!

His!

A sudden burst of strength coursed through Goldenfur's veins, and with a might heave, he hurled Blackfur off of him and into the crowd of bystanders.

He smirked as the black tom landed with a pleasing crunch.

Chapter 21: Pinestar

Something was wrong.

Something was definitely wrong.

Pinestar could deny it no longer, it was like trying to shake off your own scent.

The dark tabby tom began to scan everything, from the smallest twitch of a whisker to the most blantant displays of disobedience. The only problem was...

He didn't know what he was looking for.

What could it be?

The thought wouldn't leave him alone.

Is there something wrong with my clan?

The sentence reocurred.

Is Greyleaf in trouble?

This thought burned through him the most.

It was as if he could sense that she was in harms way! As if he was so close - so, so close - and yet, he could do nothing. How could he defend his love, his mate, his everything from something he didn't understand! How could he protect her from the terrors, when he couldn't fend them off himself.

How?

He was still lost within his own mind when he walked straight into another cat, tumbling over them to land in a heap of fur.

"Oh great Starclan, I'm so sorry," He meowed, getting up and dusting off his fur, "I wasn't looking where I was going."

"That's okay," The green eyes of Cedarheart found his, wide in the dim light of Shadowclan camp, and she answered quickly, "I wasn't either."

"Um, okay then," Pinestar stumbled, suddenly feeling awkward, around the calico she-cat, "I'll just- uh - go this way now." He set off in a random direction, and heard her mewed goodbye from over his shoulder. Weird, He thought.

The white muzzled tom found himself headed towards the medicine cat den, and he slipped quietly inside. The scent of Thunderclan immediately tugged at his nose and heart, painfully reminding him of Greyleaf. He took a deep whiff of the air to try and savor it's familiar forest tang.

But why was it here?

Fernshadow looked up from his herbs, his green eyes finding his leader. The brown tom seemed to sense Pinestar's curiosity, and said, "The Thunderclan medicine cat apprentice just left here. She was only asking for some help."

"What for?" Pinestar's inquisitiveness had been poked, for he had been patrolling most of the day and had not seen this apprentice.

"Someone's sick," He mewed softly, diverting his eyes back to his herbs.

"Who? With what?" Pinestar bore his amber gaze into the medicine cat's back until the brown tom looked back up at him.

"A queen, I think Rosepaw said her name was Greyleaf."

A freight train slammed into him, and everything shattered.

Hey guys! Sorry for not updating in a while, again. School has been sucking my idea well dry!

Sooooooooo...

What'd ya think?

Oh, and sorry if you've had a problem where it says you've already reviewed on a chapter. This is due to my revising. Once I catch up to the number of chapter's your reviews have been made on, this problem should go away. For now though, I'd suggest reviwing on the earlier chapters. Actually, if you didn't mind, going back and reading the revised sections of the story would be a big help! I'd like to know what you think about those too!

Question Of The Chapter:

Do you think Greyleaf's gonna die?

Aaaaaannnnddddd...

My great friend, WhenCowsFly, is writing a RWBY story, and she'd reeeeeaaaaallllyyy love some feedback. If yall wouldn't mind, stopping by there and checking it out would make my day, and, more importantly, hers. Thanks ahead of time for if you do and for just reading this!

Oh, and disclaimer, I do not own warriors, just the characters I create and the storyline to match it, and if the characters have the names of cats in the story, that is purely accidental and they are not those characters.

I also give you permission to write any branch offs or alternative stories to this, just as long as you give me credit for the characters of mine you are using. But, what am I thinking, this isn't going to be popular enough for that! But oh well, I give yall permission anyways!
