Dear wonderful readers…

No, I'm still not dead, though I know that I haven't published for a while and that consequentially, interest in the story has declined somewhat. I was just dealing with a final "bout" of work and enjoying the holidays, but also wondering how to deal with the numerous plot holes that popped up, largely through Danger Ratings.

So I thought I'd firstly like to announce that before anything else, Danger Ratings is going to be rewritten over the next few months. My plan is to keep Mojo as the main bad guy of the story, but the story will hopefully flow a little better and tie into future story arcs which I had planned. Why do so now, you might ask?

I read the news earlier this week that Monty Oum, perhaps one of the best online creators I've come across in the last few years, had passed away from a severe allergic reaction. I can't claim that this is some sort of grand tribute to him, because that would be insulting, but I felt that with people on the web just encouraging each other to be creative now was as good a time as ever to start again. So the updates may be smaller for the sake of frequency, but they'll be there.

Secondly, I wanted to try and address the numerous plot holes as best I could, so here is my best effort to try and do so; again, my plan is to correct or clarify them in the story proper, this is just my way of getting back into things. The following section is going to be fairly long, so I'll understand if you don't want to read on.

Why did Fury claim to represent the United Nations and the USA when this is unnecessary and inaccurate? This was due to my political ignorance regarding the United Nations. This has been rewritten for the story.

Why did Xavier not just unload everything onto Logan? I was trying to mesh the final episode, the leaked scripts and my stories all together and it simply failed. My guess would be relief at seeing them or hoping to spread the message to as many people as possible (which given Logan's sometimes irrational behaviour is not something I'd blame Charles for), but it's still bad writing on my part. I will try and find a way to correct this.

How is Wanda commenting on Logan's lack of sleep insulting? Fair point, it's not really an insult. This is also being edited out.

How did Sinister get all that info from Jean? How did Angel break into a supposedly impenetrable room so quickly? The scripts never clarified it, but part of my rewrite will include a reason for the first point and a correction for the latter.

Why is the Human High Council allowed to commit arrests despite it supposedly being an activist group? There has been some confusion in part due to my wording. The Human High Council is supposed to be a sort of intergovernmental body with branches in more influential countries such as the United States and Japan, the governments of whom essentially agreed to coordinate their respective mutant departments. The arrests issue is going to be a plot point in the future, possibly with the introduction of a certain Marvel lawyer. As for "activist group", that was supposed to refer to the Friends of Humanity, which is a sort of pressure group along the lines of Britain First, the English Defence League and various hate groups like the Westboro Baptist Church.

I hope that answers some of the questions people had (and hopefully doesn't raise more). I'll hopefully see you in the next couple of weeks for the rewrite of the first Danger Ratings chapter!
